I had Dr. Hennessy as a professor two semesters ago. He's such a great teacher! He's funny and isnt boring at all. He makes psychology pretty damn interesting!

really funny guy, i actually enjoyed going to class. Managed to get an A without a huge amount of work.

to start...he's gorgeous!explains things pretty well,made the class realy interesting by telling his experiences and showing videos...it was all lecture...I LOVE HIM!!!

Great professor...one of the best I've ever had at Buff State. His Psychology of The Consumer course (PSY 382) is fascinating.

This guy is amazing...cool, funny, laid-back, informative. One of the best professors ever.

Loved having him for a teacher. He is bright funny articulate and soooo cute. If you have him you will definitly enjoy the experience

This man is brilliant...the only person I have ever met who agrees that not everybody falls for this so-called "subliminal" advertising. Exams (there are 5) are easy if you take good notes and do your reading. Very funny guy, too.

He will work with you until you understand the material for class. He doesn't mind if you're at his office every 5 seconds. And he doesn't need to be friendly he YOUR teacher, however he is very helpful

Super funny guy, arrogant but amusing, fair on grading, HE DOES NOT ACCEPT LATE PAPERS! doesnt matter what happened.. you have the ability to turn them in early. TAKE HIS CLASS, if anything the class will get you in a good mood..

Dr. Hennessy is a cool professor. He is VERY willing to help. Students are in and out of his office all day asking for help and he seems like he enjoys it. His class is somewhat difficult, but as long as you ask questions for more of an understanding, it makes the class much easier. I wish he tought more classes...he is great

Good teacher although this class was difficult at times with a lot of writing. Dr. Hennessy is ALWAYS willing to help outside of class to make your papers better and gives you a decent amount of time to finish them. He's a great teacher

He is an awesome professor! He likes to help you out in any way. He doesn't care if you show up to class, b/c he says you pay for it. NO LATE PAPERS!! However, they are easy and only 2 pages, so if you don't do it your LAZY!!! Have fun!!!! :)

He explains concepts well through. Attend all classes, do not be late with assignments and you will do will. Social psych is fairly easy to understand. He is kind of a dork, but can be funny, and he does have a slight case of self-importance. I would say he looks like he's right out of revenge of the nerds.

Dr. Hennessy is SOOOOO funny! He makes class very fun and time flies. No matter what the subject matter is, he will make you laugh. His grading is on tests/papers and offers extra credit. Do the work he puts in the syllabus and you will do well.

A friendly man with a good heart. He thinks he is a standup comedian sometimes but still teaches well.

Amazing teacher, makes it very fun and interesting class (even at 9am) attendance isn't required but if you aren't there you will be lost. 4 tests total that arent cummulative. Reading the book is essential if you want to do well but if you show up every day to class you can get away with reading a minimal amount. Highly Recommended!

He is one of my favorite teachers. Class is never boring! His notes are good but add more when he speaks because those can be used on tests. Attendance not mandatory but definatley should go its worth it. Only 2 papers very short.

hilarious. attendance is not mandatory but i never missed a class - he is great. he tells these stories/examples that will make you remember the notes. make sure to read over definitions/theories in the text he didnt mention in class - he likes to throw those on tests. two papers - five points each - no biggie. take any class with him!!

I really wanted to like this class because the prof is such a great guy. Unfortunately I always found myself playing catch up to Dr. Hennessy. The way material was presented in class differed from the way it appeared during tests. Dr. Hennessy was always available during his office hours, but this did little to help the overall clarity

Super nice, very animated and great personality, which keeps the class interesting and fun. Gives plenty of notes so you don't need to buy the textbook. If I was a psych major, I'd take as many classes with him as I could. He's awesome!

He's a great guy but I couldn't have him again as a teacher. He's really funny and likes to tell stories but to keep up with him on the course seemed impossible. I went to every class, had the textbook and still felt behind. Even as a Psych major it was hard to take this as my first Psych class. Thank God for his extremely curved grading scale.

Awesome professor. Hilarious, but explains material well and keeps your attention. Looks so much like Bob Saget its ridiculous.

Great professor. He's funny, keeps your attention, connects with the class really well, and looks like Bob Saget. The tests are very straightforward, but you need to study. The only downfall is that he is kind of an a** when you're talking to him one-on-one. Either way, if you're taking an intro to psych course then definitely take it with him.

Great instructor, presents material clearly and in a way that students can relate to. Tests are not impossible as long as you pay attention in class and keep up with the textbook. Attendance is stated as non-mandatory but you def need to be there every day. Only downside is he is kind of unapproachable and hard to talk to 1-on-1.

Class is fairly straight forward. Attendance, though not mandatory, is crucial for simple understanding of book material. Goes over some info in class not in the book. Tests are tough but completely from class material and readings. Charismatic teaching style and fair grading practices. Definitely would take a class with him again.

Best professor I have ever had, learned so much that I can use now and later in life. Great sense of humor keeps the class fun so I always looked forward to going. As long as you take it seriously and put the effort in you will be glad you took it with him.

Professor Hennessy is GREAT! He is so funny, and keeps class really interesting. His test are hard, BUT STRAIGHT FORWARD. He does not word the questions hard at all, you just need to know the material. Attendance is not mandatory but you NEED to go to class in order to pass. You also need to read the textbook. I would definitely recommend!

Dwight is the best! He is such a funny professor, he's always acting things out and making class extremely entertaining. He's amazing at teaching psychology, you can tell he loves to teach also. The material is hard but study hard and you should be fine ( his final curve is huge ! )

I am not a psych major but Hennessy made this class extremely interesting. You can tell he enjoys teaching and is really funny but at the same time he gets the information across. There are 4 tests broken up into 3-4 chapters each and as long as you study for an hour or so you're golden. If you have to take PSY 101 I highly recommend him!!

Great professor. Get the book that comes with the study guide and use it to your best advantage. He will test on things that should have been caught in the book.After taking his class I picked up a minor in psychology.TAKE THIS COURSE.

Greatest professor ever! Exams are fairly easy as long as you go to class, takes notes, and study them. Test consist of multiple choice and applied short answers. He is an interesting professor that really knows his stuff. Take this class!! Currently taking PSY 450W with him because of how great he is!!!

Talks a big game of how hard his tests are... they are so eas. He is pretty funny so going to lecture is worth it.

Very funny guy, course broken into 4 tests and are all multiple choice. Tests include questions only found in the lectures and only in the text book so while attendance is not mandatory it is wise to show up. The tests can be difficult for some be he offers help for those who struggled on the first one or two.

he is the funniest professor ever! he made this class so enjoyable that even though it wasn't mandatory, no one ever wanted to miss it. he had our class crying form laughter every single class. I would 100% recommend taking this class with him!

Dr. Hennessy is absolutely one of the best teachers I have had! He goes above and beyond to help and explain concepts and answer questions. He's the best. Take Research Methods with him if you have the choice. You won't regret it.

WONDERFUL TEACHER. funny. I did not use the book that much but a few times to skim over vocabulary and concepts.Research Meathods is a stressfull class but he breaks it down for you!

I absolutely love Dr. Hennessy. He is the reason why I switched my major to psychology. He really goes above and beyond to help his students understand the concepts. On top of that, he is absolutely hysterical. I recommend taking a class with him!

This teacher is great! He is very interactive and funny! Gives no HW and provides extra credit. Test are a bit difficult if your not into psychology.

This professor is funny and crystal clear. Not a super easy class but you could still get an A by spending 6 hours or so studying the day before each test. Personally I wish I could take all of his classes because of his sense of humor and the fact you actually learn!

Professor Hennessy is easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is hysterical and makes the course fun. The material can be challenging at times but he makes it a lot easier to understand. There is a lot of reading but you can do well without it by showing up to class. If you need this course 100 % take his class. You won't regret it.

Very funny and enthusiastic. I would strongly advice that you buy the textbook and fill in the class notes since he doesn't post the lecture notes online. Test are pretty hard since most of the questions are VERY SPECIFIC. No hw but there is extra credit. BE PREPARED TO SPEND MANY HOURS STUDYING MORE HIS 4 TOTAL TESTS.

Took him for my psychology 101 class and I loved it. He's very animated and engaging and also funny. Didn't give homework but had extra credit. You MUST and SHOULD read the textbook great help.

Dr. Hennessy is awesome! He is hilarious and very enthusiastic about what he teaches. The course is not easy, but you can tell that he truly cares and wants each individual to do well.

Dr. Hennessy is an amazing professor. He's hilarious & I never missed a day of his class. His tests are pretty difficult, but if you actually put an effort into the class, you will be fine.

He is a good lecture teacher, hilarious and everything but most of the things he says aren't that relevant to the tests. I never went to class and just did his mandatory quizzes READ THE BOOK (the tests are from the book) and show up to tests. He gives extra credits but you have to be in class to get them, I wasn't.

Hilarious and helpful. Taking him off track makes the course bearable and fun. Going to research methods sucks, but he made it something to look forward to, until you had to do a lab.

He's always hilarious, and very interesting. I don't read the book, I just do the "unlimited" online quizzes until I get a 100%, and I complete the learn smart practice online. His tests are easy if you study the material, and there is no cumulative final, which is a huge plus for me. He's wonderful, and I suggest him as a professor.

Professor Hennessey is the most amazing Psych 101 teacher. All you have to do is read the textbook and go to class. There are 4 test, none cumulative. The test consist of what's in the textbook as well as what given during the lecture. He's funny as hell to. He doesn't do attendance.

He's a tough grader but he's also very helpful. Allows you to send in assignments in advance for him to review and really wants the best for his students. His lectures are always entertaining and he will peak your interest. Definitely my favorite Psychology professor at Buff State.

I loved his lectures. He's full of humor to keep you interested in what he's saying. I always looked forward to going to class. If you have the take PSY 101, I highly recommend Hennesey. You won't regret it.

The lectures are great and make you WANT to come to class! Taking this class reassured me I'm in the right major. Plus, an 85 is an "A" so study and youre golden! Also, you need the textbook to pass but the mcgraw hill thing you buy has an online textbook! Unless you want the book or prefer books to online stuff, don't buy it, buy the code he gives

This guy is very Canadian. He was very fair, but the class was tough. I took it over the summer with the material condensed into 3 weeks. Probably would be a better class to take over a whole semester. No easy A.

I love this guy. He made this class so enjoyable, he tells stories, makes jokes, he is great. I would take this class over and over if I could. He always made my day. I was sad when it was over. You do actually have to study though, he doesn't give A's away for free. But the tests aren't that hard if you study and there is a lot of extra credit.

Dr. Hennessy was a great professor. He was straight forward and his lectures are entertaining and lively. It got boring toward the end, but the material was more list than application at that point. He will emphasize the toughness, but honestly it's an easy A if you do the work.

His lectures are memorable; he often acts out examples and tells stories that go along with his notes which helps with memorization. Pay attention to his lectures and take notes not just from the board but from what he says as well. He allows up to 4 points of extra credit and in order to keep an A+ you need at least an 85 in the class.

No words can describe how hilarious this man is. Outstanding professor. Unlimited retries on online quizzes for grades which is an easy way to boost your grade and study for the tests. Dr. Hennessy was a great professor. There is no homework, but there are online quizzes due before tests (which help you study) and you can take them until you get the grade that you want. Attendance is suggested as he covers things that are not in the book. Tests are fair if you study and read the book. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Hennessy is very intelligent and he really knows what hes talking about. His lectures are very interesting and he makes the material clear for understanding. If you skip class a lot, you probably wont do so well. I enjoyed the material and I definitely want to take another class with him!

If you have any interest in doing research after Buff State, take this class with Hennessy. He makes you do a ton of reading and writing but it's all so you really learn how to write up your research proposal and that you know what you are doing. He's very responsive to emails and is available outside of class to help you. Going to class is a must.

Attendance isn't mandatory but he usually gives hints to what might be on the tests in class. Overall his class is awesome. He teaches in a way that really helps you remember the material.

Dr. Hennessey was a really great professor. Psych 101 is a pretty basic class, super easy if you read the textbook and do the online quizzes. He started to take attendance last semester so make sure you go to get the participation points. Easy A if you go to lectures and take notes! Really funny and entertaining guy.

I've had him before for other classes; great professor. As long as you come to class, pay attention to his lectures (because the slides don't contain everything he mentions), and read the book, you'll pass the tests and ace the class. Only got a B+ because I didn't turn in the paper assignment (had personal issues outside of school).

I really did like this teacher BUT he isn't a push over, if you don't show up to class you will fail and not by attendance by not learning the material. Since he goes over a lot in his classes. he does make class fun but again you must pay attention during it.

great professor, if you want to do well come to class often because the exams are on mainly on the lectures becuase almost everything he says is on it and read the texbook (not that much on the textbook tho only like 3-4 ish questions) but still helps to read it ! Also for the paper do it ahead of time and read it over a few weeks before!
