she doesn't take **** from anyone, but she is fun. if oyu try to have fun with her and actually have a personality rather than just sitting there her clas is great.

This teacher is off the hook. She's very educated and expects quality work for college level Eng. Her class was alot of fun, you just had to do what was required. Obviously if you don't put in effort in her class then you're not going to like her.

One of the best profs ever...she values all intelligent opinions...always available for help...very easy-going attitude...if your cell phone rings during class you have to bring doghnuts for everyone

Anything bad that anyone has to say about Dwonna Goldstone can say it to me first. That woman is badass, believe me. She may be tough at times, but she expects the best out of you. Most of the time she gets the best from everyone too. Quit hatin'!

A sassy sprite from TX, she speaks her mind and expects students to do the same. Covers a wide range of material. Not the easiest class, but not the hardest. One of my favorite profs of all time.

Dwonna is a very enlightened english PhD. She is always having us thinking by asking us difficult qestions, and she is a hard teacher, but dammit she is fair! I would not take any other teacher!

Most fun I have ever had in a class. Take her if it is the last thing you do. You will enjoy it.

Great personality and not afraid of today's Political Correctness. You'll either love her, or hate her. Daily quizzes over the material are the norm. You'll leave her class with something to think about.

I took Dr. Goldstone for all the require English classes. I enjoyed them all. She could be tough becuase she wanted her students to get the most out of her classes.

No doubt she's a **** liberal, but she respects independent thought more than PC. As a conservative, I never felt pressured to alter any opinion. All she demanded from me was hard work. A great teacher.

All the folks with nothin good to say about Doc. were just too weak minded for her typer of class. Take your heart off of your sleave and listen to what she says you may just learn something bout yourself. She tackles the issues that no one wants to talks about b/c it will make you a better person.

Goldstone is awesome. She opened my eyes to a whole new world. She makes you think. I would recommend taking her classes, even if you don't have to.

Dr. Goldstone is a wonderful professor. She is brilliant, well-spoken, and completely unafraid of speaking her mind.

It's pretty obvious that you will either love her or hate her. Open your mind and spirit and take the class for what it's worth. Hopefully you will learn something and grow as a person. Dr. Goldstone's class is the place to do it.

How anyone could dis Dwonna, (particularly about how she dresses), is beyond me. Dwonna is a great prof, trying to open eyes and minds. Taking her and being open to truly learning from her will change your perspective on the world!

Great teacher, great personality. Can be LOUD but it is her personality. You'll get used to it. Keeps you awake in class and keeps class active.

DON'T MAKE HER MAD AND SHE'LL BE GREAT..REMEMBER TO ALWAYS HAVE AN OPINION, BUT UNDERSTAND HER SIDE AS WELL

She's a great teacher. I thought her class was very informative and had a lot of different viewpoints. I felt that I could get things done reasonably and my final project wasn't too hard. I think having someone in the class who had an African wife also gave a unique perspective.

She is awesome. She is very honest and she believes that students should speak there mind.

What the hell man, we need to keep professors like this around. In an age in which free speech is sensored, she welcomes it. Even if she doesn't agree with it. No ones education is complete until you have had a dr. g class. Unfortunately I have already had all she offers. Damn good teacher, one of a kind and hard to find.

Do not sleep on this teacher. She is the experience of a lifetime. She is one crazy lady who makes the wonderful world of literature come to life. Believe me I know, I've taken all of her classes. I would not mislead you.

Hope I can find another class to take with Dr. G. Summer went by too fast. She knows her stuff. She responds to students who care about what they are doing. If you don't want honest help, don't ask her; she tells you like it is in order to get you to do the work right.

Dr. Goldstone appears hard at first, but if you remain in her class she is more than willing to help her students succeed. However, her class is not recommended for lazy students, because she has no problem failing students who don't do their work.

Either you love her or you hate her. Dr. Goldstone helps students who want to be helped. She can be very intimidating at first, but her bark is a lot bigger than her bite. I would recommend her class to anyone that is serious about learning.

Dr. Goldstone is tough on her grading, but her content rocks and you do learn a whole helluva lot. I'd recommend any of her English classes...

She is great! There are a lot of stories to read and discussion questions. You will have quizes if you do not read. She is a great teacher though, the class is so easy. She is very fun! If you keep up with the assignments you'll do fine!

Dr. Goldstone is one of the most fun teachers I've ever had. If you know what you believe in and can logically back up your arguments you'll do well. If you refuse to think, take someone else. Do the work and you'll be good.

Loved her class, highlight of my Mondays and Fridays, with her 5,6 page syllabus the class seems intimidating at first, but really simple. Just ignore her shrill shreaking and the canine visitors and you'll have a great time. If you don't have an open mind or can't take criticism, not the class to take

She openly demonstrates her favortism of African Americans. Doesn't take excuses for sick children as attendance is mandatory. Shows favoritism in grade distribution. I got A's on my work, but got a B as final grade. Black male got Bs and Cs on assignments, but an A for final grade! Be careful!!

Didn't know how it was going to go the first week. But after talking with her she totally grew on me and I looked forward to her class every MW. I will miss her dearly!

Okay, so I may be a little biased in my rating bcuz i had a crush! Who cares? Not only did she teach literature, she also taught me about life and through the readings, about Love! And for that I am eternally grateful! you will Love this class!!

Awesome teacher! Love her, i was dreading taking this class, and came out of it so happy i got a chance to meet such an awsome teacher! Shes unique and u want to attend class because its interesting! I recommend taking her for any english you can get her for!

DR. Goldstone definitely keeps the class interesting. In a course that could be very boring she commands attention. I was unsure of her methods at first, but I find that I am learning a lot. She is not the professor for you if you are easily offended. I look forward to the rest of the semester. Not sure how she grades yet.

She's kool with me.You either like her or you don't, she don't care one way or the other. She speaks her mind in an honest but not offensive way.I took her for African American Lit. and there was only 3 blacks in my class (including me)? There was a lot of reading, but I liked the books.

I would recommend Dr. Goldstone for 2030 over the others. She made me actually enjoy going to an English class. Her papers were not that difficult. She does joke around a lot but I like that--need more profs with a sense of humor!

Class feels like a waste of time, but if you're not a quiet person, it's fun. The tests were BS--they were over nothing we talked about in class, over details like "When and where was the author born?" But if you talk during class, and have her review your papers BEFORE they're due, you should do fine. Just take her with a grain of salt :)

Took this class for a summer session. She was a bit intimidating at first, but you have to warm up to her. Does she pick favorites? Yeah. Is it always the black kids? No. Just participate in the class and everything will be good. Don't take the class if your sensitive, because it will become hell. Just learn to laugh off her comments.

I thought Dr. Goldstone was a wonderful teacher, although others are telling the truth when they say you have to take her with a grain of salt. She tells it like it is, but is also understanding. I had some difficult times arise during summer semester and she was more than willing to work with me.

Goldstone is awesome! Although she speaks her mind and isn't afraid to say anything she's a great teacher and very helpful whenever you need it. The APSU 1000 class was super easy and any questions I had were answered. Didn't do a lot of work in this class at all, definately recommend!

Oh Dr. Goldstone! Haha I loved this class. She is a memorable professor, alright. I was one of her students that was constantly picked on, but I loved her and the insights she brought to the class. Lots of reading, but no real work. Just come to class (takes role everyday) laugh and discuss and you'll be fine. Very funny teacher!

The class is Pretty easy as long as you read your readings she assign to you. She does not make you buy a book because she understands everybody doesn't have it. She's Cool, down to earth, and did I mention easy. Tests are hard if you don't read the reading well. She makes class interesting .

Dr. Goldstone is SO FUNNY! Nothing like what I was expecting at all! There is a reading, test, and paper due every week but if you read, you will pass! She makes you work for it but it was much easier then I thought it was going to be. She is very fun and yells a lot, but you get used to it. Phones are against her rules and you will be thrown out

Here's the thing about Dr. Golstone, she is eccentric and full of energy. She is clearly in love with the subject she teaches, and she has the hard conversations that no one wants to have about race relations. I thoroughly enjoyed her class and having her for a teacher. She's incredibly smart. If you read and show that you care, you'll pass.

I really like this professor. While i was kind of upset about my class not getting to learn how i felt we should, i did truly learn alot from AAST and honestly everyone should meet Dr. Goldstone. She is sassy yet sweet. I just wish my class would have taken her more seriously instead of goofing around and getting off topic.

Consistent homework, but it was simple and clearly designed to facilitate further learning. Class discussion is major, so come to class. They can get a bit wild, but if you pay attention, they are often related to the main topic. Dr. G is always willing to answer questions and help students, whether it be about class or literally anything else.

Dr. Goldstone is an AMAZING professor! She made English a lot of fun to learn about. She was very sassy and tough with her students including me, but it's because she truly cares about her students. I highly recommend her to anyone. Trust me, she is a professor that everyone should meet at least once in their life time.
