Dylan is a very experienced teacher and has lots of knowledge to give to anyone he teaches. He is extremely comfortable around animals and loves to crack a joke every once in a while!! We love Dylan

Take this lab, Dylan is great! He is very helpful in teaching everything you need to know for quizzes and test. Weekly quizzes are pretty easy as long as you listen and the practicums with animals are easy as long as you participate. He offers several extra credit opportunities, making it very easy to have a good grade in this class. TAKE HIS CLASS

Professor Dylan is absolutely amazing! He has this incredible ability to make learning so enjoyable and engaging. His teaching style is hands-on, which makes everything feel so much more interactive and easier to understand. Honestly, he's the best professor I've had in this department. Oh Dylan Davis, the epitome of teaching, the guiding light of CAES. It was a truly life-changing experience as his supreme authority guided my lost soul through the wonderful world of lab. It brings tears to me eyes when I reminisce about my younger days in his class. To take a Dylan Davis class would be to experience a masterclass in knowledge.

Professor Davis is a good teacher and pretty cool guy. The class is exactly how it says it is in the syllabus, no tricks, so if you read the syllabus at the beginning of the term and follow it you'll be able to pass just fine. Would definitely take a class with him again if I had the chance.

Dylan is a great professor and is very knowledgeable. There are weekly quizzes in the lab and then a lecture and a practical section. The quizzes are relatively straightforward, the hardest part of the class is that you only do the practical things once and then have to apply them on the midterm. Dylan has been one of my favorite professors so far here at UGA. I always look forward to his class each week. He will tell you exactly what you need to know to be successful in the class. His lectures are very straight forward -- so as long as you attend and pay attention you will get a good grade.

He's a really good professor who makes labs enjoyable. He's very upfront about how he grades things and what he expects, so as long as you follow what is on the syllabus then you'll do fine in this lab.

He is a really engaging instructor and knows a lot about his topic. He makes learning fun and not monotonous by engaging with us and sometimes cracking jokes.

Dylan is great with this lab! The quizzes are on the class before and are pretty simple if you prepare. Make sure to pay attention be the midterm and final are both 50/50 written and practical. We all love Dylan though!!!!!!

He's a really great professor and is very clear and direct with his lectures and quizzes. His class is exam-heavy, but the class is really enjoyable and something to look forward to during the week!

This class and professor were awesome. It was such a fun class that I would take over and over again! Material is pretty easy you just need to study and participate and extra credit opportunities come up frequently! Absolutely loved this class and learned so much I definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this class and he was an excellent professor. You can tell he is very knowledgeable and is always willing to help or answer questions. Class is very hands on and very fun. Participation is important. Take advantage of the chance to work with the animals not just for the class, but because its really fun (it will be on exams!).Study for the quizzes, theyre not hard but you cant wing them. The cows are very cute

The quizzes are based on the pre lectures from the previous lab and they're pretty striaght forward. There is a lot of overlap of content between the lab and the lecture class.

Since it is a lab attendance is mandatory, not his fault but if you live near the school it will be a 20 minute drive to lab every week. Every week we had quizzes over the previous week's material, the lab is hands on. I love how the lab is set up, very hands on with every animal. He's funny and makes the class entertaining, great professor.

Dr. Davis is a very caring, funny, and knowledgeable professor! This class was my favorite class I took this semester and was so engaging. If you are interested in pursuing a career with animals this class will surely help you. The quizzes and tests are straightforward and overall it is such a unique and fun experience made better by a great prof!

Fun guy as long as you participate

Dr. Davis is AMAZING! ADSCL is very hands on and he does a great job of breaking everything down. This class is my favorite class and Dr. Davis is so funny and truly wants everyone to do well. His quiz's and exams are very reasonable but you must show up to the lab in order to do well! TAKE HIM! Best professor ever!

Dylan was awesome. He genuinely wants all of his students to succeed and come out of lab with a better understanding of the content. Make sure you pay attention during lectures because there are weekly quizzes, but they're very straight forward. As long as you participate and pay attention during lab, the midterm and final are relatively easy.

Labs are very fun. As long as you stay engaged with the material, you will do fine. Study the lecture notes for the weekly quizzes and the class should be an easy A.

He was honestly a great professor. He is extremely nice and easy to deal with. I will say, you HAVE to show up to class on time because there are weekly quizzes. Loved this class!! All the lectures are very straight forward and interesting. There is a quiz at the beginning of class each week based on previous week's content, but study and you'll be fine. Only downside is that the exam practicals are based on lab activities that we have only practiced a few times. Other than that, loved Dylan!!

Cool dude. Labs were straightforward. Quizzes and Mid/Final Exams were directly from powerpoints (written portion).

This was a very fun lab and Dylan was a great professor. He was very chill and answered pretty much any question you asked. He was very straightforward about the type of material covered on the quizzes and midterm/final. There are quizzes are right at the beginning of class but they are very straightforward and come directly from the PowerPoints.

Good class! Very fun, you go out to farms and learn about animals. You then apply that to go out and work with them. Quizzes on the previous classes' material every week.

He is a solid professor, but can be rigid about things. I arrived one/two minutes late to the farm one day and was threatened with being unable to take the pre-class quiz. Account for traffic on the way to class. There is a lot of content that is very specific, so be prepared to study cause he doesn't play about grading. It is a fun lab.

This is an interactive lab, participation and practice are essential. Pay attention to the power points especially the fill in the blank sections, quizzes can be tricky but are very reasonable. Hands on technique is very doable, don't be nervous, just pay attention and then go for it. Professor's favorite line to use is " Do as I say not as I do.".

Overall, a fun class with lots of opportunity for hands-on learning. The grading is heavily dependent on how you perform on exams and on in class quizzes, but the content is relatively straightforward. He is a good professor who explains the information needed to do well on the weekly assessments and assists students when needed.

Make sure to participate in the lab activities because you really only have one chance until your exams. Grade is based on attendance, weekly quizzes, written midterm & practical, and written final & practical. Practicals have a strict grading criteria.

You get what you put into the class. Short lectures at the beginning of each lab then followed with the lab activity. Get dirty during the lab experiences and ask plenty of questions; it will be the only time you practice the activity until mid-terms or the final. Make sure to study for quizzes at the beginning of lab that cover the previous class.

Weekly quizzes that are all short response with no multiple choice. Labs are super fun though. Practical and written exam for midterm and final which are worth a lot overall.

Dylan is a really good lecturer. He is really knowledgeable on what he's talking about, and I think his explanations are really clear and concise. Quizzes are extremely straight-forward from the slideshow and it doesn't take much to study and know most of the material.

Dylan is serious but not unkind. He'll answer any questions as thoroughly as he can. He has immense knowledge about all things animal science and can give more in-depth explanations if you have an interest. His quizzes don't have any curveballs but make sure to study. Anything in the lecture is fair game.

Dylan is a great professor! Be sure to participate and go everything in the labs since you only get to do it once before the midterm or final. Also, there is great emphasis on mastery questions such as gender terms. There is a quiz after each lecture on the following week but it is straightforward. I took ADSC 2010L with Dylan and he was amazing. Even though he is the only professor to teach the class he is a good one. Quizzes every week on the lecture the week before and two tests. Overall he is very straight forward and helps if you do not have a background in what you are doing.

Probably my favorite class I will ever take. Dylan is always willing to answer questions and is super chill. The lab practicals are made out to be a lot scarier than they really are, and he lets you know exactly what's going to be on them, so no curveballs. Quizzes come straight from powerpoint slides, so those are not bad at all either.

The class itself wasn't hard as long as you pay attention and glance over notes you take. And Dylan himself is just a dope guy. Fun to talk to and willing to answer any question and help you out if you don't understand something. You can also just tell that he knows what he's talking about and can tell you a lot of useful stuff about the material.

My love for animal science definitely thrived in this class! Lots of fun activities, but def study for every quiz! It's easy to forget and the points add up!

Great professor! He is super laid back in terms of lectures and such but still enforces good participation. Just study for the quizzes, respond during lectures, and enjoy this lab its really fun and good experience if you haven't worked with any large animals.

Dylan is very chill and willing to help out. Attendance is mandatory bc you get one lab for each species, then are tested on the midterm from that lab. Just make sure you pay attention and grasp what you're doing. You can practice as much as you need to get the procedures. I highly recommend if you want hands on experience with large animals.

This is a great into class for people with little experience with these species. It's well structured and very clear what you need to know for quizzes and exams. Go to class and study for quizzes and exams, and you'll do great! Fun class, great professor

Dylan was very knowledgeable about the information in the class which makes lectures interesting. Everything is hands-on, which is cool, especially if you are pre-vet! Quizzes were easy if you paid attention to the lecture and studied. The TAs were also very nice! My only complaint was poor communication at times.

This class was so fun because it was so hands on. You get experience with all kinds of livestock, and every week I had a fun story to tell my friends. Each week has a quiz over the previous week's material which is all free response, but just study the power point and you'll be fine. Don't be scared to get your hands dirty!

Absolutely my favorite class. Very hands-on and incredibly applicable, especially as a pre-vet major. This class really gives you a feel for whether you're cut out to be a veterinarian and to work with animals. Great professor who truly cares about his students. Weekly quiz, midterm, final with practicals. Amazing class, can't recommend him enough.
