I thought that I would hate taking an online government class but Mr. Fratus is great!

I took his online Govt class. He was so helpful and a great teacher. I wish I would've taken his regular class instead of his online because I think his lectures would have been very interesting.

This is an online course. Mr. Fratus not only responds to students within a few hours, but he also posts interesting comments throughout the week--makes students feel that he is here with us!

Great Professor! Always there when you need him. Gives good study guides and his discussion board is always hopping!

Mr. Fratus is an excellent instructor. He makes his classes fun and interesting, and he is a very pleasant person. He is quick to respond to emails, and he encourages students to challenge themselves. His class was never boring, I looked forward to attending his class.

I would take another class from Mr. Fratus. He was always available and quick to answer emails. He kept the discussions going between the students and current happenings. I could tell he read all the discussions and made comments. His tests were a little difficult but this class was worth taking from him!

I love, I love, I love Mr. Fratus!!!!! He will most definetly go down as my favorite teacher and along with that my most enjoyable class. Politics is a subject in which people know very little and thats just not going to cut it if we are going to try to go in a better direction for our future and Fratus helps to bring out the importance and passion

Mr. Fratus is the best. I had him as my professor a few years ago and he was great now my husbands is taking the class and also likes the guy. He is very quick on answering emails and helps out with anything at all. COOL GUY!!!!!!!!!

He did a good job with everything. Took the class online. He gave good assignments, his test weren't unfair, and he promoted good communication. Only complaint is that witht he way he sets up Angel, you cannot see where new discussion posts are.

Mr Fratus is a good teacher for government. We had fun debates in class. Tests are a little tricky, and a big assignment due at the end of term.

Really great on-line teacher, but I misunderstood when the final was and missed it got an F for the class and have to retake it. Really reasonable, and nice guy though. Just don't forget when things are due!

Awesome Professor had him twice. I would advise anyone to take his class very easy. Also he is very easy on the eyes.

Prof. Fratus is extremely understanding if you're having difficulties in his class. I temporarily lost my book and he gave me so many options to help me stay in the class and not fall behind. His research paper takes a lot of time and work but he's always available to help you with it.

He is such a great person and he also is very willing to help anyone who needs it.

this class was rather boring and had no extra credit. i got a b on a paper that i think well deserved an a and also a b in the discussion forum which i fully participated in. overall i think this teacher is a little unfair.

He is a GREAT teacher. He is very caring and helpful. He is easy to deal with and is understanding in the time of illness if you can't turn in an assignment. Took on-line. Tests were easy but you do have to read about the things he tell you to study on the test review. All in all - I HIGHLY reccommend!!!

He's awesome! I love government class already but he keeps me awake with the disscussions in class and openess of it. definetly reccomend him for a smooth transition from HS to college.

A great teacher who explains his subject with excitement and genuine sincerity. Mr. Fratus was outstanding! He gives assignments on a weekly basis and let's you know exactly what he wants from you. There is a term paper but he gives adequate time to complete the assignment. I took his class online and would definately recommend him to anyone.

This class had almost NO work. Save a few discussions, a Midterm, an online quiz or two...and a paper. For the most part, this was my back burner course. I don't think I cracked the textbook until i needed it for the midterm. EASY CLASS, NO REAL WORK, TAKE THIS ONE!!!

Easy A as long as you do the work and somewhat study. Fratus is very helpful.

This class is VERY easy. There is only one big paper (2000 words) and three tests. You are only going to read a little over half of your textbook though. As long as your study VERY hard for the midterm and final you should get a B or an A. I would recommend him if you really don't like the subject and just want an A with as little work as possible.

do not let the fact that this is an online class fool you. you have to put a lot of effort into this class to get a decent grade and what sucks the most is that you are only graded on 2 tests and a paper pretty much, so good luck if you take him.

wonderful teacher! wished he taught more classes i needed. you learn what you need to and he makes it fun.. he tries to be funny and 1/2 the time fails but its hilarous. he sings @ times. coursework's not hard, not much classwork, just study for the test from his notes, tests come straight from his notes. can talk him into or out of things. easy A.

This class takes a little attention but is not that bad and he makes the assignments intresting. The grade is mostly test but they are very fair and he tells you what to study and has flash cards for the definitions. I liked him and would deffinetly recommed him.

This is the EASIEST class I have ever taken. I didn't even feel like I was taking a class. I took it online. Mr Fratus is great. You only have ONE paper due, and he allows you to turn in a rough draft for corrections. Impossible not to get an A on the paper. One EASY quiz (everyone received 100%), a final, and a midterm. If you do not get an A or B

Fratus is pretty cool. I hated the subject but he made it fun at times. He at least tries to make it interesting.

The class has 1 quiz, mid-term, final, discussions every week and a research paper. It wasn't very hard, but I felt like if there were assignments it would be more interesting. Also, I recieved a 79.8%, and that should be a B, but he gave me a C. I think he's a nice guy but just not fair in grading and doesn't involve himself in the class online.

Mr. Fratus is one of the most cheerful & supportive teachers I had. The class is a cakewalk if you just read the text, read the syllabus, give your postings some thought, & study. He says in syllabus no grade averaging. I was stunned at the lack of writing skills & the poor grades on the mid & final exams. Not the teacher's fault. He was great! A++

This class was very manageable online. Weekly posting, one quiz, midterm, final, and a 2000 word paper. I would have liked a little more involvement from Mr. Fratus but overall positive experience.

Mr. Fratus is really cheerful and fun. However, getting over topic tends to happen and I felt slightly underprepared for tests. He does over one-on-one study and review with students and always responds to contacts. As a person I'd grade him A+, as a teacher B-.

I thought this class would be easy, NOT. You don't get 100% even if you participate in all the discussions. Mid &final is 80 mins for 80 mult choice questions and didn't go with the study guide. Even after recieving an A on the 2000 word essay and an A on the quiz, I got a D for the class. DON'T TAKE ONLINE!!

Fratus actually makes a pretty boring class fun at times!

I enjoyed this class. All materials are straight forward. Plenty of time given to write paper which is needed. There are few quizes/test, but you will need to put that effort towards the writing of your paper and discussion topics and or mid/final exams.

I loved Prof. Fratus. He's a careful, methodical man with excellent communication skills. He directed the course well and answered promptly. When I had an oppty to go to DC he was very open to allowing me time away to do so. He's a great prof for whom I have a great deal of respect.

Took his National Government Class online and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Just make sure you read the book (if you already iknow the info then dont), right post, and do well on your midterm, final, and 2,000 word essay! He responds to all emails very quickly

Professor Fratus is excellent !! You can't go wrong. He's NOT easy and he doesn't give you anything but face it, people: you need to know this stuff. You'll work hard and you'll like it and you'll like him. ENJOY !

Fratus is AWESOME! Of course I had a high interest in politics prior to this class but, his grading is fair, the class is S-I-M-P-L-E as long as you do what you're supposed to and stay on task. He isn't active in the class but, he'll reply to your email usually the same day. I HIGHLY recommend this course to anyone who isn't interested in politics.

Weekly DF is easy. Just read wkly chapter. Quiz, midterm and final tests questions are not all from the book. Even if you Ace participation, 2000 paper and quiz, there is a chance you will end up with a C at the end. Final and midterm questions are very hard. 80 questions for 80 mins. Probably not hard for people who follow government and politics.

Fratus returns e-mails right away and seems to really like his subject. It was online but he seems funny as well.

Pay attention and participate and you can't go wrong.

Took on-line you have to teache yourself but it can be done. Paper very important. Only 2 test. Know ALL parts of the outline,and watch ALL sections of the lesson review videos. This class is NOT hard but time consuming. "A" on paper and C's on test= C in class. Put in more time I chould have gotten "B" or "A".

He really is a great teacher. I learned a lot and he is a super nice guy. He can be very blunt and he definitely tells you what's on his mind. I'd take him again in a second.

First off, I had to drop my last gov class, and stuggled in high school with it too. When I started this online class things were hard and I was mad. I finally put some more time in, only discussions, one assignment, and a test for each unit. He curves grades. Cant belive I got a B on a class i have failed so many times. rough start though

Take the class in person. It's just easier in general. He's awesome with in class discussions and love when there is lot of different views on a topic. Really funny and nice. 4 discussion posts 3 tests and a few book assessments that are easy. Love the class and wish he taught more of them.

I took him online during summer and although I ended up getting an A it was by the skin of my teeth. The participation and assignments are easy, but the tests you need to study for. Personally I think the tests are WAY too heavily weighted, especially for someone who isn't a test taker. Other than that he's good for an online professor.

Professor Fratus is an awesome ,helpful, American/ Patriotic teacher. I am a Health Science major and needed a POS course for my B.A so I took American Governmnet. I recieved an "A" in the course, but it took some work just like any other college level class. I don't see how people give him a bad review (probably slackers). I HIGHLY recommend him

A great professor with absolute passion for what he teaches. Make sure to take good notes!!! All the tests are based on notes.

Without a doubt one of the best professors I have had at SPC. His assignments were challenging and forced you to not only be able to regurgitate the material, but also had to understand the higher concepts that were part of the assignment.You had to come to class prepared to not only discuss your work, but also be able to defend it.

Good professor. He really seems to want to help and always answers e-mails fast.

Mr. Fratus was a very nice teacher overall. He was encouraging and made sure that his students did well in their tests. He does not grade right away, but as long as you meet the requirements for his assignments, you will not be disappointed with your grade. Have reasonable writing skills, there are papers.

Best professor I could ask for in an online class! Extremely easy class and very helpful. I had some personal issues and I forgot to take a test that is a pretty big portion of my grade and I emailed him and he reset it for me. Highly recommend him :)

I LOVE this guy. he made class fun by discussing current events and he goes over whats on the test (literally reading Questions off the test) right before the test. impossible to fail. take face to face. funny and cool guy

Great professor! gave very clear and great definitions the whole semester through. I would have passed the class with flying colors, but I went through a lot of personal stuff that required missing a lot of the classes. Even so, Professor Fratus was very understanding to my and the other students needs and was very helpful and forgiving.

Mr. Fratus is a great Government teacher. I took the class online and the course load is pretty low. 3 unit exams, 3 easy assignments and a research paper. Easy A if you do the work, WOULD RECOMMEND. Also gives extra credit opportunities!

Easy class with very little effort. Professor is easy on the grading as long as you do the work. Three exams, three discussion post, three assignments, and final report done all online. I defiantly recommend this professor.

The whole class did pretty awful on the 1st two tests & he curved all of our grades. The last test I felt was super easy & I got an A. The papers you had to write were not so bad. All in all not a bad class but difficult for me though I ended with a B. This was about 3 years ago so who knows what this class is like now. He seemed nice enough.

There aren't that many assignments, but you do have to put a lot of thought into it, or atleast that's what I think. He keeps it simple, 3 modules, no midterm or final, which was my favorite part. I retook his class because I don't think I would retake it with a different professor. I recommend this professor !

Not a lot of work throughout the semester, 3 separate mods easy A.. Can't be afraid of writing though, teacher isn't too critical on mistakes but def make sure to reach the word counts on papers. Would recommend!

If you didn't do well in his INR2500 class you must have missed over half the class. Honestly, there is very clear cut assignments every week that take about 30 minutes and then you just discuss it in class. He is very lenient and willing to work with you if you're having trouble or can't understand the assignment for some bazaar reason.

Course laid out excellent. Everything was very clear on what was expected. He did not over work us and gave great time frame for assignments to be due. Each time I had a question it was answered very fast and gave great help. I highly suggest his class. I thought I was going to hate this class but I actually can walk away knowing something.

Professor Fratus was a great professor! He's super funny and laid-back. There's only four tests and no final or midterm. Don't miss class though because he gives random in-class assignments you can't make up. Overall I loved his class!

Professor Fratus' course was great! The layout was so simple to understand and the assignments were actually quite interesting. There were discussion posts due at the end of each lesson and there was 1 assignment per chapter. Super easy! I would definitely take this professor again! Took his class online, he was very clear what he expected on the assignments and the 1200 word paper. Got A's in all of that, except for the 4 (i think) quizzes. Those were a bit difficult, I got C's on all of the quizzes but still managed to get a B overall in the class. No midterm or final, how much more awesome can that get! Take him, he's great

I really liked his online class! I saw some reviews that said "he gives papers every week and its crazy" . Well... yah... welcome to college lol The papers weren't even difficult :) 300 words once a week and 4 exams total. He offered us 10 extra credit points at the end as well! The exams are a bit tough, 60 min for 50 questions but its open book!

I took this class online and I didn't think I would like it at all. I really enjoyed this class! The short essays are actually fun to do. The tests are a little challenging. The reviews did not help me. I didn't do well on the test/quizzes but did great on the essays and discussion posts. I passed the class with a B, super easy!

Prof. Fratus provided an online atmosphere that was easy to navigate through. One discussion assignment a week, 3 exams throughout the semester, and one final paper at end of course. Easy grading system. Good feedback. You must read the chapters and do some research in order to write discussions, but overall the work load wasn't overwhelming.

A lot of papers required and tests are often, but I took the express summer course. I would say the Exams are the most difficult because you have about 50 questions and about 1 and 1/2 minutes per question. Reading the chapters in this class are very important. Also have political opinions on current matters. Overall, good professor.

Self Explanatory coursework outline. Easy grader as long as you do the work. discussions, 300 word papers, exams, quizzes/homework, and a 1,200 word paper at the end of the semester. I would recommend this course as the work is on point and straight forward.

The class was not very difficult, and the grading criteria was clear and consistent from start to finish. Exams were more difficult than expected and the reviews did not help much, however the homework was assigned in such a manner that I learned about the subject adequately, but was not overwhelmed in the process. Would absolutely take him again.

Leaves all modules open to complete on your own time, easy grader. Make sure you stay on top of your assignments and you will get an easy A!

This class prepares you for Honors courses. It has lots of info, deliverables like creating your own academic site, and useful self-reflection papers. Prof. Fratus is rightly beloved, very knowledgeable about life and inspirational, and I got a lot out of this seminar. You get what you put into this class. Take it! MG

Late work is ok and he might be difficult to reach through email but always seems to be availble in his office if you call for help. Great professor!

Professor Fratus was a good professor and a very reasonable grader. I took his online American Nat'l Government and as long as I did the work it was an easy A. I have to appreciate professors who act like reasonable people. He was also a good communicator, I'd take him again given the opportunity.

Professor Fratus truly is a premiere professor at SPC. I had him for his online American government class, and as long as I did the assignments on time and put my best effort forward it was an easy A. I highly recommend enrolling in his classes if you want someone who is understanding.

I took National Government online over the summer. The modules are pretty easy. As long as you read the textbook chapters and complete the review the exams should be really easy. He gives clear grading criteria for his papers and is available for questions and feedback. For an 8 week online class I would definitely recommend.

Professor Fratus is a good choice to have when taking American government. Weekly modules, quizzes, weekly written work, midterm and final exam, and one research paper. Seems to be a slow grader, but grades very easy. Put in good effort, you should be able to earn an A. Overall, good professor.

Professor Fratus should be the President of the College! If he is instructing anything, I will take his class. If he is teaching a class you need to take, take his class!!! You will learn more and enjoy the class experience more than you will realize. He is the GREATEST!!! I can't say anything more that is better than what I've already said.

I took Professor Fratus American Government online class and I have to say he was a great professor. He is very accessible and clear in his instructions. As long as you take the time to do the work you will get an easy A.

Cool professor. Assignments have due dates, but he's lenient if you miss one by a day or two. He's an easy grader, he just takes a really long time to do it. Large research paper due at the end of the semester. No proctored exams. Lots of extra credit opportunities.

Mr. Fratus is always a delight if a bit slow at responding to emails but this is understandable due to his position as president of the honors college. Writing work is significant but Mr. Fratus is flexible on deadlines. Takes a while to grade, overall, an easy professor to knock out this credit with.

Easy class, plenty of resources and FREE textbook online. Most exams come with multiple attempts, even the final came with 3!

Professor Fratus taught American Govt in such an intriguing way. He made sure that we students felt comfortable and gave us many opportunities to ask questions or give an opinion. He would give us more than enough time to complete assignments. Overall, I truly enjoyed his class!

I recommend taking Professor Fratus! Class contains a quiz each week, 5 writing assignments, 5 discussions, a midterm, and a final. 2 attempts allowed on quizzes and 3 attempts allowed on the midterm and final. Professor Fratus is lenient if you turn in assignments 1-3 days after the due date and accepts late assignments for some credit at the end.

He accepts late HW without penalty, but he is a bit strict on APA and grammar. He is a nice guy, and my only complaint is that it took him more than 2 weeks to grade HW.

Professor Fratus makes this class engaging and flexible. With multiple attempts on exams, a free textbook, and helpful online resources like unstuck AI, the workload is manageable. His feedback is valuable, though grading can be slow at times.

Quite literally the easiest online course I have ever taken. There were weeks where our only assignment was "read the textbook" and nothing else. Small nitpick is the the textbook is quite literally a textbook with just block after blocks of text with no graphics so it was a bit of a chore to read.

Took Professor Fratus for 6 week class. Awesome professor! He teaches with passion and animation making the 2 hour class fly by. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for group discussion in world events. Do the work, engage in class discussions and you have an easy A! Would take again!

Professor Fratus is great. He is very welcoming and kind. He enjoys what he teaches and enjoys teaching. He is super accessible outside class and is always happy to help out or clarify things and answer questions. Highly recommended.

Beyond phenomenal professor

Earl Fratus class was literally my saving grace, his lectures were fun, he grades nicely, good amount of taking notes and makes time for discussions with the class on political problems that are currently happening. And Honestly I would take this class again.

Professor Fratus is awesome. He made the American national government class go by in a breeze. He was always available to go over a paper or project you are working on. Very kind and friendly to everyone. He encouraged students to participate in discussion and has good feedback. We used the kahoots game a few times and it was fun.
