My inspiration to continue learning

An absolutely incredible professor. His exams can be a pain, but it’s worth it. He is one of the reasons that I’ve chosen to go into teaching. He knowledge is unmatched by any other history professor at the college.

I found Page to be a wonderful teacher who does not live by the classroom rules. He taught me in a way in which i was never taught. I would recommend him to anyone!

I'm now at a 4 year school and Page is STILL the BEST prof I've every had!!! His classes fill up quick but if you show up he'll probably sign you in. Such a smart guy with a great personality and sense of humor!

I took Page on a recommendation of a former student and I was definitely not disappointed. A truely great teacher.

I had Page about one year ago and he still remains the best teacher I have ever had. Page has a great outlook on life and tells it how it is. if you have the chance to take Page, do it, you wont regret it.

The best damm teacher i EVER had

Lets see. Only graded material was the midterm and final where you had to do 5 2-page essays for the midterm, and 4 2-page essays for the final. I missed half the classes, handed in the midterm and final on the last day of the semester and both were an essay short! Overall grade: B Must take!

awesome style makes the class interesting with fun facts

He was a wonderful teacher and taught in his own personal way. He is very different than other teachers which makes him unique. Yes, the mid term and final seemed easy but they were graded a little heavier than I had thought they'd be. I took both of his classes which were not so bad. I got a B and a C and I did show up to a majority ofthe classes.

Undeniably my favorite professor ever. The greatest professor I've ever known. There was NEVER a dull moment in his classes. EVER.

by far the best professor I have ever had!!!!!

If your looking for an easy A great class to take. Lectures are interesting and he is pretty good to relate things to modern times. Exams are based on papers, which aren't to bad because if you do the research you'll have no problem. I had him for Foundations of Mod. Euro History and Sociology. I liked him for History best because that's more of his forte. Great teacher though , great sense of humor but he's not for everyone.

I had Prof. Page for both Foundations of Mod. His. and Soc. He is by far the best teacher I've ever had. He is definitely not for everyone though and I think his talents gounappreciated frequently at NAC. Take him for any class he teaches, go in with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. I wish I could have taken every class he taught.

Page is a great teacher. He is not your normal teacher. He does his own think his own way. I have learned a lot from him. There is not a class that goes by that I don't laught my ass off. He is a great guy.

If you get anything less then a A in this class, then ur just not trying. I had him for Europe Histroy and Soc. All u have to do is write two 8 -10 page papers for his class. He grades so easily. Just do the paper! If your material in ur paper sucks, he will still give u a B. if ur paper is half decent, he will give u a A.His lecturs are aswome too

Write two 8-10 page papers, otherwise an easy A. Don't take if you want a traditional teaching experience-- you don't use the book at all, and it seems unorganized. I can't pick out anything in particular that I learned except for random & interesting facts.. I do realize society's effects on people more though.

Page is not your normal professor and most people I suppose dont understand him. Google the essay topics and you'll be fine and take notes in class he doesnt use a textbook cause he says it is too expensive for us and leaves a lot of stuff out. He talks about himself but its always a good story and relates to the lecture.

buy far the best prof. i have ever had. i have such respect for this man its sick. you will either love him or hate him. his lectures are so interesting you cant not listen. and yes he is loud and vulger but as he will tell you a million times in the class, hes irish its in his blood.

Page is the greatest teacher alive!!! If you make an effort to get to know him outside of class he will love you. He's very funny but never laughs at his own jokes (some jokes can be explicit)I've taken 3 of his courses, he made all of them enjoyable. God, I love this man. Marry me pageeeee!!!

Okay...today was the first day I had Page...and when I took one look at him I knew this was going to be awesome.I can see what people mean by he is not for everybody.He does not censor what he says and it's freakin' awesome. I am so looking forward to Tuesday's and Thursday's!!!!!

Page is THE MAN!! He is certainly an unique professor, but that's what makes coming to his classes fun. He never ever uses a book unless the class wants to. He never gives hw and only take home miterms & finals. You learn alot from him, and he has been teaching for nearly 40 yrs,so he knows what he's doing. I hope everyone gets to take his classes.

3 words: BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Ok, I'll elaborate. He reminds me of George Carlin. He hates how overpriced textbooks are, and doesn't use them. You would go to this guys class if you were sick with the flu because you wouldn't want to miss what he'll say or do. He lets the class choose how they will be tested. Take one of his classes. DO IT!

Amazing man who has a great life story that he is willing to share openly with the class. He uses real world application, not text book information. He is not your typical Sociology professor but it is definitely worth it to take his class.

Page is awesome! his class is very interesting. You will find yourself not wanting to miss class. There are only 2 graded assignments for the class.

Page your awesome!!! I will miss you and your funny lectures!! If you want a good teacher for soca take page!! He does only give a written midterm and final (Which are not really hard just time consuming), but attendance is required he knows who is there and who is not (even w/o role call) and if your cutting a close grade he wont curve for you!!

Page is an awesome teacher! I took him for Sociology and Deviance. He makes his classes extremely interesting to the point where you don't want to miss class. You don't use a text book and you don't have any assignments besides a take home midterm and take home final. I highly recommend Page to everyone!

Page is one of my two favorite professors at NCC. Everyone should take any of his classes.

Had a class with Mr.Page in 1977. Really enjoyed the class and the man. Covered lots of material and little known facts. Nearly 100% class attendance over the semester.Highly recommend.

Took 2 history classes with Page too & I think this is the BEST teacher in the world. No textbook & no homework, just midterm & final. If you go to the classes you will pass.

good teacher but uses bad words

I have taken Page for three classes and would recommend him highly. Attend class, take some notes and pay attention. He is interesting, relevant, and funny. I would take another class with him anytime. Classes I took: Intro to Soc, Deviance, and world History. Sign up early his classes fill quickly!

I was told he cursed, and thought I wouldn't like him because of it, but he's a great professor looking back on it. I'm glad I have taken his history class - European Modern History.

You haven't experienced NCC unless you've taken a class with Page. There's a reason NCC is consistently ranked among the top in the country. Knowledgeable, enjoyable, fair and passionate. I've probably had 40+ Professors throughout college & he's the only one worth commenting on.

The man is a legend. I took him for sociology and learned a lot. His lectures were great, so much that I never skipped his class, even on a friday. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He has a very interesting life story and you learn a lot from him.

I have taken two classes with Page, but wish I could take more. He is incredibly knowledgeable about what he teaches and makes the material very interesting. He is genuinely funny and is not afraid to be crude (my kind of humor). I can honestly say he is the best teacher I have ever had in all my years of school. (Kindergarten-College).

Professor Page was an amazing teacher. He made us think outside the box. I would recommend him... YES!!!. Yes, his tests are harder, but they make you think and are fair. He made learning fun and unique.

Mr. Page was so enthusiastic, interesting and fun in class. I was never a history buff nor was I great at comprehension. Professor Page stirred my soul and created in my mind a burning desire to learn more every day! I loved his style and role-playing, making memories -the best teacher ever for history class! I retained what I was learning!

I had Page for Principles of Sociology. I looked forward to coming to class every day! I never missed because his class was that interesting! He does not make you purchase a book, he says it is a waste of money. He can be offensive at times, but that is just his sense of humor! LOTS of handouts! Only work we did was a Midterm and Final Paper.

This guy has saved my gpa and my sanity. He is an amazing lecturer and he knows his stuff! Some people aren't interested in History but, he makes it fun and relevant to what is going on today. You could really gain some worldly experience by listening to what he has to say. Does not believe in making you pay for books. Barely any assignments.

Page is a great man to listen to and is the most interesting man in the world. Would recommend taking him not only for a elective and an A but because he really opens your mind, coming at material with different angles. Would highly recommend.

For Honors Soc, gives only a midterm paper and final paper, which most people get A's on even if the paper is of low quality. The class can be used to satisfy a writing-intensive requirement through course override. Very obvious atheist, and swears often, so don't take if easily offended. If you aren't easily offended, he is very funny at times.

Beware that there are only a few papers in the class, about two or three. These papers are not your typical scholar stuff, they can be just as informal as the class. Page is an interesting professor.

He's extremely funny and goes off on tangents in class. lectures are very interesting and everything relates back to the class. I would definitely take this class again. He doesn't take attendance, but if people stop showing up then he says he will. Hardly anyone ended showing up towards the middle of semester and he still didn't take attendance.

He's a pretty cool professor, and his class is pretty great... BUT, he tends to go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the class. It's hard to follow his lectures sometimes, and he gives out A LOT of handouts. Other than that, not a bad professor.

Really good professor. He doesn't use a book or powerpoints, he teaches on the knowledge in his head (which is rare these days, most professors just read the powerpoints). Definitely not a traditional professor, and you won't agree with everything he says, but you'll respect him.

Best professor I've ever had. Even if you don't like history I'd advise you to take his class. He makes it extremely interesting and he is hilarious but you still learn a lot. He doesn't grade you on a lot but his mid term is take home. The only thing is he doesn't have actual notes or power points. So if you miss a lot you won't pass.

He's awesome!! All we do is read handouts & have diverse conversations. All we have is a mid term paper and final paper. I recommend him 100%.

Page is a phenomenal, interesting, once in a lifetime sort of professor. If you attend NCC, especially if interested in sociology or history, take one of his classes. You won't regret it. Note that If you're very easily offended, Page may not be for you. Then again, he may help cure you of that ailment.

This is one of the most amazing professors at this school. I highly recommend taking at least one class with Prof. Page if only to get an elective credit. If you are easily offended, maybe this is not the class for you, but if you can listen, this man has seen a lot and can give you some great educational advice and insight. Work hard on paper.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He's caring, respected, and funny. If you need anything from him even after you've taken his class he'll be there to help. His class will literally be the best part of your day. He doesn't do attendance, should go to his class because he's awesome but also to get needed material. You wont be disappointed.

Page is the best. If you attend NCC, go out of your way to take one of his classes. He's a staple of the college, and one of the most memorable and special people you'll meet. Brilliant, hilarious, and ALWAYS willing to go to bat for a student. NCC's crowning jewel.

Great teacher, understands college is expensive enough does not require the purchase of textbooks, super interesting, very approachable you would not regret taking classes with him. after my first I ended up taking several classes with him and he has been the most interesting professor I have ever had.

Page is a great professor and makes the class really easy. since the class is writing intensive your midterm and final will both be papers but you get the chance to rewrite them if you don't like your grade.

Dr. Page is my favorite professor. I took his medieval history course. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! He explains everything is such a unique and hilarious way. All my friends and I love him and will definitely go out of our ways to be taking more classes with him. There really is no way to describe his teaching style, you just have to experience it

Page is an excellent professor. He gives such interesting lectures, and I was fully in tune to every word he said. He's hilarious too, but only if you're into crude humor. He's also very knowledgeable and wise.

Professor Page is possibly the oldest professor at Northampton which is why he is among the smartest. His lectures are funny, insightful, and combine several different fields to enhance one's knowledge on the topic. Make sure you read his handouts and meet the requirements for the tests.

Great class all you have to do is make sure you keep the handouts that are giving, pay attention to the movies that are being shown in class and make sure you interact!

The best professor at NCC I highly recommend professor Page

Professor Earl is hands down the best professor at NCC. He is very knowledgeable and easy to understand. I recommend to take any of his classes. His lectures are amazing.

Prof. Page is funny, and makes his lectures somewhat interesting. I wish I had learned more than just about his life and the movies that he showed, but other than that he was okay. If you're looking for an easy A, you got it.

Great guy. I love old school professors like this who don't need technology to teach. He may come off as crude, but the man has a heart of gold and there's nothing to be intimidated by. If you listen carefully to his lectures, his classes are about perspective on life, not just a text book. Makes you think about the unjust systems America has.

His lectures were interesting and went off-topic alot. If you want to actually learn about Sociology, you might want to take another prof. The lectures were 70% off-topic and 30% about sociology. We were only graded on the midterm and finals; the exams were take-home open-ended essays. He's funny and an interesting guy.

His class is entirely lectures, however, they are very intriguing and fun. He does make many jokes, which can be a bit unconventional. The graded assignments are very easy if you put in work. He outlines clearly what he expects on the work and will allow you to re-do a bad grade. He does not use a textbook, but instead supplements with handouts.

Professor Page's lectures are engaging and informative, though he does tend to go off on tangents. The class is easy if you stay on top of the work. unstuck study was a big help with study prep.

I was the first student that he ever had to throw him off because I wore a suit and tie to every class. Did it. He didn't really understand why I did it. I gave him the leeway to get his narcissistic claims to fame out of the way before he started listening to what he had to say. He was an interesting person to talk to
