This professor made the class very easy to learn. There is a lot of material taught in this particular class, but with this professor he made the material fun and easy to learn. Acct 202 was much harder than 201, so expect to put more time and effort in (at least it was for me and everyone else I talked to). You'll do fine if you keep up on the readings and attend every class.

Byseik is a really good teacher. The course is very challenging and I did not use him as a resource enough, but he wants everyone to succeed and if I put in that effort to meet with him, I'm sure I would have done much better than I did. Great guy. Super nice to look at too.

Does really good in class lectures and he makes it easy for you to take notes and does lots of examples on the board to help you understand. There is 1 graded homework assignment due a week based off what you've learned graded on accuracy and then 1 final project at the end of the semester.

I loved Bysiek's course. I took him for both Acct 201 & 202 and will miss him and his teaching methods. He makes taking notes & following along with exercises extremely easy. I would absolutely take him again!

Good teacher

This semester, I originally wasn't registered for Professor Bysiek's class, but I was able to get in when a free spot opened up and I'm glad I did. He's a great person and a great teacher. The material was tough for me and I really had to work hard to get some of my grades. I'm glad I had him though and I'll miss him after I transfer this semester.

The GOAT. Professor Bysiek is easily one of the best professors at SBU and one of the best teachers I have had in my life. I'm not an accounting major but he was able to spark my interested in the subject. I'm bummed that this will most likely be the last course I take with him but I look forward to seeing him on the bball courts.

I have taken this professor 3 times. Math in general is not my strong suit, but he has made it so much easier on me. He is always available, always helpful, and formats his notes perfectly so you can understand it. 10/10

Bysiek has now expanded his teaching to Finance 301 and I couldn't have been happier. He truly is a fantastic professor and has a genuine ability to really connect with his student. The man is beyond personable and will have you name memorized by the end of the first day. If you have the chance to take him don't miss out.

Mr. Bysiek was always available when ever needed. He is the type of teacher that wants you to do good and pass but you have to show interest in the subject and show that you want to learn. A very smart professor who will help you when ever you do not understand something. He is very clear about every assignment and about what will be on each exam. There was one test that was significantly harder than the other but this was the first time he taught this class so I think that next class the test won't be as hard as this semesters.

Bysiek taught Corporate Finance for the first time this semester and was great. The speed in which he goes through material is perfect. He makes sure that everyone understands what is going on and also uses real world applications to help students further understand the material. I think if you take FIN-301, you should take it with him.

Very good professor, I would recommend him to anyone taking ACCT 201. Lectures are very informative and notes are very clear cut. Homework once maybe twice a week, and it helps to do it. Gives extra credit and also does a few group projects. Class wasnt too hard but studying definitely help. Exams are straight from the notes nothing unexpected.

I struggled throughout the semester with accounting but professor Bysiek helped me understand the concept much better. Always their if you needed help on specific questions about the materials.

It was incredible to learn from him. He is a great man inside and out of the classroom and is always willing to talk to you about real-life events. With his experience in his own firm, he is able to tie in actual examples and demonstrate how our knowledge is used in the workplace. I would take every class with him if I could.

I am not a business major, so this was a very challenging class for me. However, Professor Bysiek kept this in mind during his lectures and made sure to define every term that he introduced even though many of them were obvious to everyone else. I really appreciated this, and his willingness to reexplain entire concepts from square 1 for me.

Really enjoyed having Bysiek as my teacher. I feel as if I've learned a lot and am ready for ACCT 202. You will get a good grade on the quizzes and tests as long as you do the homework, pay attention in class, and follow the study guides. You also have chances to earn extra credit, especially during the tournament on the last day of class.

Bysiek was a great professor to have for accounting. I personally do not like accounting but he made it interesting and worth paying attention to. He knows what he's talking about and definitely takes the time to make sure you do as well. By learning each student's name by the second class just shows how much he cares. Would highly recommend him!

Professor Bysiek is one of the best professors that I've had at Bonas. I don't have a business background (I'm a non-major) and he made accounting class a great experience. Lecture was supplemented with a lot of practice problems in class, so we were able to understand the material right away and do problems that would prepare us for the exams.

Mr. Bysiek is a great professor, lectures and exams are well structured. The course follows a fast pace so definitely be on top of reading and homework assignments (not only the graded ones). If you do this you will feel very comfortable with the material. Competition is great, the final tournament is a unique experience even though I got destroyed

I really enjoyed accounting 201 with Professor Bysiek. His lectures and notes he gave were clear and understandable. We did an ample amount of practice problems in class to prepare for each quiz and test. As long as you study the notes, do the assigned readings and problems and study for the exams, you should be good. Overall a GREAT professor.

this professor gives a lot of homework but it is all very useful for the class and I found it helped me learn the material so much better. Prof. Bysiek is very nice. However, governmental accounting is tricky, and his class is no exception. You have to put effort into doing well, as his quizzes and exams are hard. Lots of homework helps your grade. I felt he made the class a little hard for the level it is taken at, but overall, he was a decent class and a nice professor.

Attendance is mandatory, but it's worth it - I found unstuckstudy ai and the textbook to be great supplementary study resources alongside Bysiek's teaching.
