I graduated a couple of years ago and Dr.Cloutier is still helping me with ANYTHING i need -- or just taking me out to dinner when I'm in town -- hes an amazing guy and SO inspriational. If you can -- absolutely take a class.

Funny, I didn't enjoy his class too much....but that's not his fault, the curriculum sucked. As a person, Dr. Cloutier is awesome. I'd take a different class with him any day.

Doc is probably the most helpful man I have ever met. I had him a yr ago and i still see his smiling face all the time. He isnt even my advisor and he is always willing to meet with me and discuss any questions i have. He is very involved with the school (sports especially) which is nice to see from a college professor. Fabulous teacher and guy!!!!

I just Graduated from UT. He was my favorite professor over the full 4 year course load. Outstanding professor.

Had him back in '98. He was definately one of the nicest professors. It was obvious he enjoyed teaching and knew his material.

Best professor ever! Will know your name after the first week. Really cares about his students. Made me want to be a teacher even more than I already did. Has such a passion for his job. Gives you the actual tests ahead of time so they're easy. Teaching presentations are stressful but so much fun! TAKE HIM!!!

One of my favorite professor at UT. He inspired me to follow the ways of becoming a teacher. Take his class if you need an elective, but be prepared, you may become a Education major because of Doc. Because of him, I will not have money in the future. :-(

Absolutely fabulous teacher. He sees the students as equals and never makes anyone feel stupid. I had heard about him prior to taking his class and he is better than I had ever expected. He really cares about everybody as individuals and will go out of his way to ensure a job with principles that he knows. I can't praise him enough in so few words.

"THE TEACHER." period. Best teacher I've ever had in my life. He is a classic type of teacher who encourages and teach in an exciting way. I thought couple times of changing my major to education because of him. I wish that he can take all the professors, putting them in a class, and teach them how to teach students. Doc Cloutier is a great teacher. His class is incredibly easy as tests are literally just your study guides filled into a scantron. Show up to class, listen to what he has to say, he's a dedicated informative teacher. If you accumulate 960 points before the final you are exempt (easy through extra credit). Doc is great, you will enjoy this class.

Prof Cloutier was one of the best professors I've ever had! I am not even an education major(I'm nursing major) and I took this class because I heard how amazing it was and it was a way to boost my gpa! Many other majors going into this class come out education majors!! Really an awesome class!

Literally the most passionate and caring man ever, even better that he's a professor! I'm not an education major (took the class for the credits) but I've actually learned a lot and love his teaching style and personality. You will NOT be disappointed with Doc.

the class is extremley easy show up and you pass basically, tests are a breeze, he can be a little weird at times but overall nice guy but dont get on his bad side and dont pack up early not even a minute thats how you get on his bad side

Very good guy, very easy gateways credit. Helpful for my first year of college, and gives advice not just to his major (education) but to every major in general and even for non-declared like I was walking into UT.

Easier than a high school class, but you truly learn a lot. Class is inspirational and makes you want to become a teacher. Dr. Cloutier truly cares about each of his students, and takes the time to learn everyone's name. Tests from textbook are take home, midterm had two questions, and there's a 30 min teaching lesson for a project. Great teacher!

His lectures are very fun to be at. He sometimes brings in special treats like candy and is very respectful towards students as well as helpful! Ive never had a professor as helpful as he was. TAKE IF YOU CAN! Great professor and is very passionate about teaching, doesnt give much to any homework and provides grate feedback on any work you do.

He is a passionate man and really loves education. The class was great and super helpful. But one day he decided to tell the whole class that I watch sex online out of no where and I was really embarassed and had to leave class and cry. I hope nobody else has had a bad experience with him because the class is great other than his jokes.

He is so easy but he is so passionate. He cares a lot about the school system & making sure we're going to be good teachers. There's no homework, the exams are multiple choice, take home and all the answers are online. There's no point in getting the textbook - it's a waste of money - I returned mine. Easiest A of college & best professor at UT.

Dr. Cloutier is a very nice and passionate professor. His class was SUPER easy, but if you're looking to really learn about education in America, it is not the class for you. Although I received an A, I really didn't learn anything. There is a clear HighSchool vibe. But if you're looking for the easiest A of college, he's the perfect prof for you.

Dr. Cloutier is an awesome professor, probably my favorite teacher. He is very dedicated and passionate about the subject. He is such a sweet man with a big heart. He brings real life examples from his days of teaching as an Elementary teacher. Overall, great class!

The absolute easiest teacher I've ever had. Class never goes to the full hour and 50 mins and very rarely goes to even an hour and a half. There are 3 tests but he gives you a study guide which is the test that you take home and all the answers are online. Very caring and inspirational. He sets you up to succeed. Watch out for bad jokes. TAKE THIS!

Cloutier is the best prof ever, he is amazing. You can tell how passionate he is and that he really cares about his student's successes. He will get annoyed if you don't show up to class and takes attendance by binder checks (he gives a new handout every class for that class period). All of his classes were so interesting and he makes class fun.

Doc is honestly one of my favorite profs at UT. He's genuine and caring. All you have to do is literally show up and keep track of the papers he gives you and you'll have an A. Take home tests are hard because they don't always go along with the textbook, but if you work in a group it's typically fine. Would definitely take his class again.

Dr. Cloutier is very passionate about teaching and gives great lessons for future teachers. His class is very easy, all tests are open book and everybody gets a 100 on the teaching project, plus he basically hands out extra credit like it's candy. Minimal work in this class to achieve an A. I would highly recommend even if you are not an EDU major

Professor Cloutier is easily my favorite professor that I've had so far in college. He is very understanding, kind, and accommodating. I would recommend this course to absolutely everybody. If you have Professor Cloutier, you are guaranteed to want to go to class!

Easy class just have to do the few assignments and a project

Lectures can seem a little dragged out but don't let that stop you from taking his class. You never stay the full time and you have 3 tests, 1 project, and a midterm and final and the 3 tests are group tests and open note. Definitely on of my easiest classes

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! Professor Cloutier is not very tech savvy, but if you show up to class like you are supposed to, you won't need the lectures (in response to the person below me). He is so inspirational and really really REALLY cares for his students. If you honestly have an issue he will help you in any way that he can, goes above and beyond!

Professor Cloutier is truly a gem in the Education department. He has been teaching for a VERY long time and knows exactly what he is talking about. He also truly cares about his students and their well-being. Not very tech-savvy but the class is still fun. Easy A and good elective for non EDU students who need credits.

In this class he gave short lectures that were completely different from the textbook. We used the textbook to answer homework questions, but never discussed the book content. Exams are super easy, but he isn't very tech savvy and doesn't use blackboard at all so you have to remember your grades. I feel like I didn't learn that much but an easy A.

I have never enjoyed a professor as much as Doctor Cloutier. Truly cares about his students and is ready to help whenever you need it. As long as you show up to class you will do great!! I would take him again in a heartbeat!

He's the sweetest and most touching professor ever, however, his lectures are all just common sense that literally anyone off the street could tell you. He has such a passion for teaching and is so special. He doesn't even know what blackboard is so do not count on him for that or anything with computers. Grades super easy and barely gives homework

Doc's a great teacher. His lectures are 99% common sense but his passion for the material and his students makes the class great. Test are paper take home and assignments are incredibly easy, you have to try to get under a 80% in the class.

Doc has to be one of my favorite Professors at UT. He is beyond passionate about his job and never fails to make someone smile. He is beyond supportive and understanding if you communicate with him too. I 10000% recommend him!!

Sweetest man alive boring class but if you sit next to the right people it's fine! Easy work he cares about his students and wants everyone to get good grades Everything is take-home, quiz, tests, midterm, final, etc... No homework. 1 project on a movie where you teach a lesson to the class super easy. That is all the class entails nothing else.

He is the nicest professor ever. I have to say he is much older and knows nothing about technology so be ready to watch videos from VHS tapes. He will email out the notes for each lecture and will tell you exactly what to write/what to highlight. He is also incredibly passionate about his job and his students. He likes to joke a lot.

Such a nice man, and he really cares about what he does and his students although he DOES have favorites in class.... but he's still very nice to everyone as long as you follow his rules and are respectful and do your work.
