arrogant person. Came late to class one day because of some idiot on the highway decided to make a traffic jam on the highway. I told him about it and he said "not my problem". Otherwise the class is easy and your grade is based on attendants.

Very crude with the jokes, very knowledgable on his subject, and treats students the way the industry (theatre/screen) tends to treat "nobodies", overall an easy prof. if you don't screw around, but doesn't like to hear excuses.

i personally think, hes the one of the honest teachers out there, so what if hes rude, rude only if theres a reason to be, like lateness, or talking during class or missing class. If you want an easy A, take it but you will have to deal with his ways

I enjoyed the class. He's easy as long as you go to class. Don't take him as your first class though, because if you are late, you'll be sorry. I learned a lot from him. If you have previous theater experience, he favors you tho.

Funnest teacher you'll take. Tests are based directly off of the notes. Can use notes on the test. HAVE to go to class for attendance and notes, but not boring. No reading/HW. If you get A's on the tests, you dont have to take the final.

This class is a rite of passage for any student at Fresno State. Take Drama 62 only with him. It will be one of the most memorable classes you will ever have.

Easiest summer class ever. Just make sure your phone is off and don't try to sleep. he kicked ppl out for that stuff, but we just watched movies and then talked about them after. Cake.

Easy but a jerk!

This was by far the only class I truly enjoyed while I was at Fresno. The class teaches you more than just Drama, but more about life, and you definitely start understanding the life of Ed a lot more... and it takes you further to watch others around you. It's an easy A, and you'll learn a lot... even things that after 5 years, you'll still sit back and think about his class.

He is a complete nutcase AND an ****! But I loved his class. He was svery enthusiastic about his lectures. Just make sure to GO! Don't have someone sign you in, my friend got kicked out for that! He makes NO exceptions! We had to watch crappy movies like Rambo and Bloodsport and some movie with Arnold. That sucked. But I got an A and didn't even take the final. This is definitely a GPA booster.

Probably the funniest teacher I have had in my whole college career. He really likes the F word too. Haha. Gives you all the notes and lets you use them on the test. If you get an A on the first two test you don't have to take the final or come to class anymore.

Easiest and funnest class ever! He keeps you entertained and literally gives you the answers to the tests. All you have to do is attend class everyday and take notes on what he tells you to write. I recommend this class because it's an easy A and it's a class that you would look forward to going to.

Dr. Emanuel is entertaining, funny, but could be offensive to some. He loves what he teaches to the students and he makes EVERYTHING VERY CLEAR about this class. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY(50% of your grade). Tests are straightforward from lecture notes. I enjoyed his class and didn't even have to take the final! :-] Highly recommended! -- Easy "A"!

EASY CLASS!! very offensive..lets just say he goes into a LOT of detail about what the movie deep throat was about...has interesting stories but like I said..very offensive..lots of language..sometimes just seemed crazy.

Great Professor. I looked forward to going to his class. The mandatory Fresno State writing assignment for this class is the notes..so you take the notes..and at the end of the semester you give him your notebook. Great Class. Must go to class 50% of your grade..u will look forward to it though.

His class is easy for sure, but the way he talks is scary...probably because he has a loud voice. I took his summer session and all I remember we did was watch a movie per day and then copy his notes at the end of the movie...our final was to compare the notes from the movie.

This is such a fin class. I enjoy this immensely and the professor is just finny. He tells it like it is. Attendance is mandatory and so is note taking. The exams are easy As and open note test. He is a great professor and would recommend him to anyone who needs an easy class.

One of the best class at Fresno State. He is very knowledgeable in his field though he looks intimidating, he sure is funny and smart. I would take another class with him if possible. If you get A's on his first 2 exams then you'll be fine no need to take the 3rd and the final. In conclusion, EASY A!

He is one of the best prof i have had here. Really easy class as long as you take good notes. His tests are ALL based on the notes, and with an open note test its EXTREMELY hard to fail his test. NOTE: keep your notes, dont through them away after the exam, he collects them at the end of the semester, and are part of your grade.

Ed was a good professor. He was very entertaining. This was one of the easiest classes that I have taken. If you fail this class, that is really sad because you can use your notes. He is an okay professor. Very strict about phone, and will take away your phone if he sees it during class. Watched movies most of the time in class which is really interesting and fun. Today was my last day of class and I have to say I'm really bummed! Drama 62 with Ed was pretty freaking awesome, he's a cool guy and is extremely helpful, easy A is guaranteed unless you're a lazy ass. Plus, it's pretty cool that he resembles Robin Williams! Be sure to come to class, all we do is watch movies anyway. Highly recommended!

Best GE class ever! Watch old movies like Rambo, Blood Sport, Conan, Cry Baby, other short clips. Lectures are really entertaining! Use your notes on the test and the notes count as your required GE paper. Can buy his short textbook, but not necessary. You will want to show up to his class it is so entertaining. And he is too!

Automatic A in this class

This class was fun!! really easy class its impossible to fail! He tells you what to write as your notes and his tests are open note. The G.E writing requirement are all your notes stapled together. He doesn't like phones and he will spot you if your using your phone and kik you out. The text book is not required so attend class if you want an A!

If you're curious about learning how to write a film, Ed would be your go-to person! He's very knowledgeable in writing scripts & teaches a lot of those concepts to write a good movie. The workload isn't too much - basically, you're writing your own film of your choice & coming up with your own plot, characters, etc. Fun class, definitely recommend

An amazing professor that showed the possibilities for pursuing Script Writing professionally. I loved his class and learned so much for script writing and other Creative Writing classes. My all time favorite class this semester and I'm sad he doesn't teach other writing classes, because he is insightful and simply amazing. Great class!

Easiest A! Show up and you get credit. Hes super passionate about Greek mythology and wants you to love it too. You watch a lot of movies and are expected to pay attention. No phones allowed and participation is what he truly desires. All exam questions he gives you the answers and he truly just wants to give you an A!
