it's unfortunate that many don't hear the wisdom in this man's teaching-i loved him--as for being "hot", try looking into his eyes when you talk to him. maybe then you'll see the beauty he attempts to speak of in class

His class is easy, he probably won't know if youre there or not. He really is a brilliant man if you listen to what he has to say. Definitely knows a lot about philosophy. I say give him a shot.

This man is my friend and the most brilliant person I have ever known. Everyone should feel privelged to be in his classes. Pay attention! You'll be better for it. I'm proud to call him my friend & teacher.

I enjoy being in his class. He is smart, has a sense of humor and tries to make learning fun. I would recommend him to anyone.

I would recommend this guy to anybody at St. Joe's. He is a bright man with a sense of humor. But I want to know what he keeps in that cup of his every morning???

If you can manage to stay awake during class it might be good to take his class.

Emmer is the man! He gives three easy quizzes and a pretty easy final and manages to get more points across than the rest of the test-happy teachers. He's a funny guy has illustrates some good points about problems with the government.

Ok so he hates republicans and I'm one, but give the guy a break, he's half in the bag. He's a smart guy and he's fun to watch in class. You gotta love Emmer.

Mr. Emmer is amazing! I disagree with him on everything but I enjoyed walking to his class even though it was 8am. He dosn't care if you agree with him or not, as long as you get thinking.

Prof. Emmer is trying to get people to think. Those who believe he is ****, stupid, or out to lunch are taking what he says on face value instead of understanding the issues. Closed minds will not do well; prepared to analyze the world problems will.

Emmer is funny. He finds ways to make fun of you and still have fun. He picks on you if you sleep in class or are absent so be prepared. If you like quirky teachers who add a little something different to the humdrum teaching methods of SJC then take him.

LOVE his sense of humor! He's such a cynic about EVERYTHING...you learn some really interesting concepts from this class that REALLY make you think. You earn an easy A, just so long as you show up and pay attention.

Brilliant guy. Tests can be tricky. Speaks his mind and if you listen you will learn alot about everything.

i had him a few semesters ago, hes really funny and a good teacher some people dont just don't get him the tests are pretty easy and so is the final hes a great teacher hes really smart

This guy is what all teachers should be: passionate about his subject matter, easygoing with the students, funny, smart, and doesn't rely on textbooks and lesson plans to teach. If you PAY ATTENTION, it's an easy A and you'll have learned something.

its a really easy class so far and kind of interesting. he tends to ramble on alot to make his points but is very clear. i think hes funny hes always throwing in jokes, and usually commenting on how republicans are the main source of evil. :) overall i think hes an ok teacher.

If you dont understand his points, you dont belong in college.

He was an awesome teacher. I recommend this teacher to anyone. He is very funny and easy!!!!

The man is brilliant and if you just pay attention and try to be active in class a bit you have a easy A. If you get a chance to talk to him outside of class you'll find a very insightful and very easy to talk to kind of guy. His jokes can be lame, but he tries his best to make it interesting.

He is a brilliant man. He is too good for St. Joeseph's college. Definitely should be teaching at an ivy league institution or at least somewhere better than here. His classes are so much fun and he makes even the most complex material approachable.

Very good professor, knows his stuff and trys his best to make very complex ideas into easy ones. He does make jokes but if you understand his sense of humor it is really not that bad lol

if you partisapate and get the work done its easy. he's a cool guy a lil affensive not goin to lie but but an easy A. the only way you can do bad is if you dont put forth an opion.

Emmer is the man, he give 3 quizzes 10 questions and the final is an essay that you can also type up as extra credit....although the lessons are boring, if you are looking for an easy class to get credit DO IT

Clearly the most intelligent professor at the college. He should be at some Ivy leage university and not at a wana be highschool. If you enjoy philosophy and actually thinking about important matters, take him!

Good Professor and a brillant mind. If you listen to what he has tp say you'll realize that he is a brillant professor and belongs at an institution higher than St Joe's. EASY A, just show up.

Good Professor. Interesting guy, tells you what the final is the first day of class. Makes a ton of jokes in class just to keep it going. Very helpful, you can find him or talk to him about anything at anytime. Gives a paper before the final, that is not mandatory and will increase your grade 1 grade level and it can be the final paper.

Tests are real easy, very easy class.

He's a funny guy..makes the most hysterical little jokes to keep class going. Wants to make the material easy to understand, and doesn't believe in quizzes and tests, so there's only like 2 little ones during the semester. He really only likes people who speak up in class so make sure you participate!

He was pretty good. Funny, incredibly smart, Always willing to hear what you think about anything. Took him for intro; there is no midterm but there is a final, and he gives you the sheet with the questions on the first day of class. There's also a paper but it's completely optional.

Prof. Emmer is well qualified to teach philosophy. He knows the material well. This class can get a little dry at times, but its one of the easiest at St. Joe's. He has three quizzes, 10 questions each, multiple choice. You also have a final essay and an optional paper...i mean come on...can it get much easier?

Another left wing teacher assuming everyone in the class thinks the exact same way that he does, not caring about who he offends along the way. If you're into bashing peoples beliefs, take this guy...he hates christians, also.

This guy is absolutely hilarious, I will recommend him for anyone in need for an easy grade. Although the classes may be boring, his attempts to keep the class occupied with jokes usually work, and if he gets bored as well he just lets us out early. Emmer is awesome.

Professor Emmer is histerical. I had him for intro at 8am, but he would crack jokes and make the best out of a boring topic. No midterm, optional paper, and final is on stuff you talk about the first class. Easy A.

Took him for a summer class and he was great!!! He is a smart man who happens to be very easy and hysterical. He is not offensive and tells you how the Greeks and Christians oppose each other when it comes to ethics. Lets you out early instead of having a break. Take him in the summer, only 2 quizzes and final is optional. I would take him again.
