Hindson will make you stay awake in class with his funny voices and incite to the old testament...he gives new interesting incite to the history and character of the people in the old testament.

Class at times boring, quizes pretty easy, exams little tough, study do well!

Ok, for Old Testament survey, he's a good teacher, very funny. But be prepared to study for his exams! His quizzes are a breeze if you do the reading, but if you don't study a couple hours for the exam, you will fail, trust me.

Good teacher. Very wise. Able to break down Old Testament into Layman's terms. You be the judge of his many voices, i think they are funny. The stories he tells are from the heart. I am not sure who elses teaches 105, but Dr. Hindson is very good. =o)

great teacher, really knows his stuff. I enjoyed his class a lot. He gives quizzes on reading almost every day, but as long as you take the few minutes to read the chapter, you're fine because they're pretty easy. His one voice he used was kinda funny at first, but it did get a little annoying.

I like to call him the man of many voices. Just when you think you've heard them all WHAM he comes out with one that's even crazier than the last.

Excellent teacher. I think he is the smartest prof at LU. Amazing knowledge on the Bible. And he makes his classes easy too!

Dr. Hindson knows how to bring the Bible to life! When you enjoy reading a book written by your professor that really says something about them! My parents are alumni and advised me to take his class and they were right! If you are taking OT take Ed Hindson!

He really made the Old testement come to life for me. I enjoyed reading the book he wrote and how he applyed it to his own life. Easy class but worth every minute that you sit in there.

I enjoyed his teaching so much many years ago. Wonder about his photo of probably 30 years ago still on publications from Liberty.

I learned a lot about the OT in that class, when I managed to stay awake. The voice impressions were grating and irritating, but I was very impressed by him immense knowledge of the Bible.

Great teacher.. can fall asleep on the days you didn't get enough sleep cause the classes were so big.... but. he is very smart and knew a lot!

Pay attention-- you'll wish you did later when you don't understand the OT! He is very knowledgable and there is no reason to not get an A if you pay attention and study for a couple hours before the exams.

Awesome jokester and corny voices but you just gotta love him. Totally EASY class. Just show up for the quizzes and get an A.

Very Hilarious, and lectures are very interesting. Always learn something from the history of how God has impacted our World today.

He was a very good teacher who communicated well, and answered questions as clearly as possible, offering time outside of class.

Loved him with the OT Survey for DLP students. I learned a lot of stuff I didn't know and he was just happy to be doing what he was called to do. Everyone should be so lucky nd I hope that I am able to love my job as much as he appears to love his.

Oh my goodness, I love Dr. Hindson. I had this class at 8 am, but it did not matter, I enjoyed every moment of it, especially because Dr. Hindosn always makes his littel character voices, and his books oh man, Courageous Faith is one of my favorites!

Awsome class. He helps you to understand certain stories that never made sense before. Great Professor.

Fun, easy class. If you know anything at all about the Old Testament going into this class you should do fine. Even the book he wrote is interesting and clear. Just don't buy the Knowing Jesus Bible if you already have a good study Bible. Like his voices or not, he really tries to make it interesting for the students, and usually succeeds.

really easy class if you read you book, the only reason you need to go to class is to take his daily quizzes. you will learn a lot about the bible if you read you book. personally i fell asleep to his voice almost every class, but as long as i read my book i didn't miss anything

i was skeptical going in, but he knows so much about the old testament and tied it to the rest of the bible! absolutely amazing. the voices should keep you interested. if you actually listen, you will get a lot out of it.

This man is FANTASTIC. Truly the best course and the best teacher/professor I've ever had. He has an incredible understanding of the material and could probably talk for years about this stuff. I love it.

Ed Hinson is one of my favorite professors at LU. He tries to keep you awake and he does some pretty cool voices. Everyone should take a class with Hinson, it should be required.

I loved Dr. Hindson's class. He is by far my favorite teacher here at Liberty!! He really made the Old Testament come alive for me and he is such an amazing man of God. I love him!! His class is very easy too!! Take him!!!

Dr. Hindson is a great teacher. He is very knowledgable about the subject and adds humor to it to keep it interesting. The class is very easy so I got a 100 on the midterm. He's not too super on a one-on-one basis though. I think that's because he has 800 students to deal with. I highly recommend him anyway.

This guy is great. I thought Old Testament Survey was going to be the most boring class in my life but I absolutely loved it. The other raters are right, the voices he does are great. I laughed during almost every lecture. I saw him on TV the other day and I was like HEY THATS MY TEACHER!

Hilarious teacher. Awesome voice impressions of Bilbe characters. His quizzes are simple if you listen to how he reads the questions. And even easier if you do the reading. His tests are difficult cuz there is a lot of information. But if you study the outline book he gives you all the answers in the review sessions.

Awesome professor, I completely recommend him. It was worth going to North at 7:50am, and thats saying a lot. Read over the assignment once, and the quizes are easy. Read over the notes a couple times, and the exams are easy.

I love him as a teacher. It is my favorite class. I have learned though that you either love or hate him as a teacher. There is no inbetween. His pitch changes take some getting use to sometimes, but he is such a genius!

Hindson is an amazing teacher, even though his voice can sometimes can lull u into sleep. But getting taught by the legend himself, someone who truly and completely understands and believes wat he believes in is totally worth it. Very great teacher.

This guy explains the Old Testament really well. He is clear and gives good information your typical preacher neglects. His voice can be annoying to some, but seriously don't dwell on it. He always has "fatherly advice" to give. If you know anything about the Old Testament, this class will be easy for you.

He was very entertaining, and he's got so much energy that he keeps you awake even if you are in the early class. I'd defintely recommend him to anybody.

One of the best professors at Liberty. I had this class at 7:50, so I did almost fall asleep a few times, but his fun voices kept me awake. You should be able to get a good grade on the exams if you really review what he said to know. He is an overall good teacher and great man.

Hindson is amazing. Keep up with the lectures and readings, and you'll be fine. His voices are indeed interesting, but they keep things light and from getting too monotonous. This man definitely knows his stuff, but he's fun, too. I recommend him to everyone I know and will continue to do so.

Hindson is amazing! I learned so much from him. Even if you think the OT is hard to understand and kinda drags out, Hindson expounds on it, bringing out things you didn't know and at the same time, makes it interesting to listen to. You will WANT to take notes, even if there aren't any blanks to fill in on the workbook...take him!

Dr. hindson is the man! I am a Religion Major and will be taking him for more classes. He is very smart. You have to go to class because he gives quizzes every day. Exams are easy if you actually study for them.

He's a great prof. I learned so much about the Old Testament, he actually makes you excited to learn about Biblical history. His knowledge on prophecy is amazing, well his knowledge on everything related to the Bible is, actually. His quizzes are easy and his tests can be hard. Just study!

Good teacher, smart. has two voices for everybody. they sound like a male and female scooby-doo. pretty funny though.

Dr.Hindson makes OT really interesting... you learn a lot in the class... and as long as you read just a couple pages for every class you will do fine on the quiz (they are straight forward and pretty easy)... and before the midterm exam and the final exam, i recommend that you go for the review section.. then you will ace them!!

Dr. Hindson is one the BEST professors at Liberty University. His knowledge of the Bible is superb. He loves what he does, enjoys what he does, and is sincere about what he does. Phenomenal person, most of all a MIGHTY MAN OF GOD (you should hear him preach). Take his class if you really want to learn about the Old Testament.

Dr. Hindson is a phenomenal teacher. He is engaging and entertaining as well as informative. I mean, who else can keep the attention of 350 students at 7:50 in the morning by using the voices of the characters from the Bible? Not many, I can tell you that. If you're interested in an in-depth hard core study of OT that is entertaining, take him!

Great old testiment teacher. Yes he is a little obsesive about Daniel, but otherwise very informative. If you dont like the voices dont take an early class, my friend did and she hated them. Keeps attention pretty well. We are lucky to have him here at Liberty.

old testament survey w/ hindson is a must! learn so much and you get to laugh at Hindson's crazy voices he does for all the Bible characters. As a funny side note- if you open your book during class to the chapter he's discussing, you realize that Dr Hindson has memorized his book and will WORD-FOR-WORD quote huge paragraphs out of it lol

Easy quizzes!

Hindson is by far the BEST professor and teacher of the Word that I've ever sat under. He goes very deep into the scriptures for a survey class, he takes you back to the original language and context of the text in which it was written, and he puts it all in a very down to earth, absolutely clear way. He loves what he does and his voices are great!

AMAZING TEACHER! He knows the Old Testament really well, and if you thought OT was boring before you went in he will change your mind. His voices are hilarious and he is just a funny and nice guy in general. One time I couldn't stop laughing in his class for like 20 min. Tests are really hard, but as long as you read the quizzes are pretty easy.

TESTS WERE HARD! I got A's on all my quizes and C's on my mid and final and ended up with a C....know biblical geography!! can be boring in the morning. on the quizes, which he gives everyday, remember details like names, places, and numbers. the grand scheme of the readings dont matter!

He makes the Old Testament come alive

You had better take good notes while he's teaching because the tests are hard. He wants you to know names, places and dates in detail. At least half the questions on his test are in his lecture, but are not written in the workbook. You've got to write it down as he speaks. The study guide only helped with about 20 of the 100 questions.

He has forgotten more about the Bible then I could ever hope to learn. This man knows the Bible inside out. Class was a little boring at times. No laptops. Daily quizes. Easy grader. At the end of the course I had a B which he rounded to an A.

Dr. Hindson knows the Bible extremely well. He teaches it with clarity and makes it interesting. You have a quiz everyday, so expect to come every time. Just a mid-term and final, which are pretty easy - just study. Loved the class.

Dr. Hindson is a very great man of God. In class, you have a quiz everyday on the readings you need to do so do them, and u must study for exams because they are somewhat difficult. His voices get annoying sometimes but overall he is a great teacher and a great man of God, take him!

I think this man is a very gifted teacher. I was completed bored by the OT before and found it confusing and difficult to understand, let alone apply to my life. He was able to do all these things and make 1500+ year old texts come alive, apply to your life, and allowed you to see the "big picture" of the whole Bible. Favorite class and teacher!

Dr. Hindson is the best professor I have had in my life, and I have a master's degree, going for a second degree now. It has been a blessing to attend the courses and I have learned so much! Thank God for him, otherwise I would have remained an ignorant reader of the Old Testament.

Awesome prof. I've read the Bible 4 times prior to taking his class, and I had no interest in taking the class whatsoever. He finds ways to make the material interesting and fresh though like with his various hilarious impersonations. Take him for 105, he's great.

I did enjoy the class for the most part. It was not THAT easy but it's manageable. The text book is huge and really hard to understand. He is usually quite entertaining. He does move very quickly so you can't fall behind.

Hindson is a hilarious and knowledgable professor! He makes the OT easy to understand, especially with his funny voices. Recommend him 100%. Only downside is the large textbook, but he said they are working on creating a new, shorter book. Take Hindson :D

Hindson is ridiculously knowledgeable and takes you through the entire Old Testament fairly in depth within a semester--something most of the other O.T. profs don't. His mannerisms can be a little "much" at times, especially if you have him early in the morning, but overall he is very good and you will learn a lot!

Dr. Hindson really knows the Old Testament well and also teaches about the physical evidence proving specific events in the Bible. He is very interactive and cares about your spiritual life as well. He doesn't just teach the Bible as a class, but as an application to our life. Very interesting class!

Hindson is a walking Bible. The man doesnt use notes, lecture plans or anything. He knows his stuff so well, that this isnt even a job for him, its a hobby! I would highly recommend him if you want to learn a lot about the Old Testament!

Dr. Hindson was absolutely 100% fantastic! Though the class takes a lot of hard work to succeed in, Dr. Hindson was extremely informative and great at teaching the material. Get this, he was one of the translators involved with the New King James Version of the Bible, and this kind of expertise is evident in his teaching! I recommend him any day!

Hindson is the best, and greatest professor I've encountered so far. His lectures are quite funny, yet very informational, so don't sleep through them! Yes, you have to study for his tests, but the work won't kill your social life for Old Testament. His class is enjoyable, yet you still are working. I would suggest him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Hindson is the BEST Old Testament teacher to take at Liberty. He has kind of a monotone voice, but he has such wisdom and knowledge about the OT that you want to listen. He relates the class to everyday life, and shows how Jesus is in every single book of the OT. The tests can be hard, so study at least 3-4 hours for each, but it's so worth it!

Hands down my favourite prof in the world. This was the best class I had all semester. Dr Hindson knows so much and it's always amazing to listen to his lectures. He's also hilarious and always makes class fun. You'll need to do some reading and studying to do well in his class, but it's so worth it. Do not take ANYONE but him for BIBL 105.

Hindson is terrific. One of the best I've ever learned from. I've listened to alot of pastors and professors over the years and he, by far, exceeded my expectations and hopes. Besides the classes I've taken at Liberty taught by him, I have sought out many of his books and I feel the same about him. I can't recommend him enough!

Dr. Hindson is a great and interesting teacher! He is very intelligent and knows just what he is talking about. What's more he loves the subject, making the class even better. He tends to follow the notes, which is helpful in making the quizzes predictable, which is always a plus. The only potential downside is his voice is slightly raspy. Great!

He is funny and clear. If you study the study guides there is no reason not to get an A. You have to do all the work which means watching lectures. If you do this you will get an A. If you Love the Bible you will Love this course however, if you have little interest in the Bible or mild interest stay away.

Hindson is probably the smartest man I know. You will learn so much in this class! You definitely have to work hard to get an A!

Dr. Hindson's lectures are legendary. His personality shines through even on his recorded lectures. Absolutely hilarious, made the material easy to understand, and kept my attention. The man's knowledge is phenomenal.

Ed Hindson merely was in the lecture videos for the course I took. Grading was performed by a different instructor. Hindson does a great job in contextualizing OT history. His workbook assigned for the course helps a student stay on task. Hindson also does a great job of working world history events in where they are applicable to context.

His lectures are really funny and he is the dean of the School of Religion so this is a field he is really into. There is alot of reading and the test can be tough but only if you don't read and pay attention

Hindson will take you on a journey in his lectures that will make you feel like you knew nothing about the old testament in the first place. If you want to learn more about it though, you'll have to really study to get it, but when you do it's actually a very easy and fun class. Also two of his books were not needed, just the workbook.

Hindson is one of my favorite profs. He is super interested in the old testament. He is an interactive teacher. Read the text & you pass the quizes. The work text is most of the test, right down what he says. The lectures are fun the test stress you out, but they really aren't that bad. GO TO THE STUDY SESSIONS W THE GAs. Those saved my semester.

Hindson is by far the best professor I have ever had. He has extreme knowledge on the subjects he teaches and cares for his students. You must read and work in his class but with effort it becomes an amazing life long investment. So far I have had three classes with him and would have every class with him if possible. Great man, great professor.

Dr. Hindson is simply amazing. He is not afraid to be funny, and gives multiple chances to succeed.

Dr. Hindson is awesome. I had him at 8:15 which was rough but he has a ton of insight and I rarely got bored. He kept us engaged and was fair with the work required.

There is a quiz every single day over the reading assignments. The questions are oddly specific, often asking certain numerical details, names of obscure kings, or things of that nature. I recommend this Dr. Hindson if you are really wanting to learn- and are willing to work to do so. Not an impossible course, but not an easy one either.

There is a quiz after every lecture, so always do your reading assignments. In class he tells stories and will sometimes give answers to questions if you are present. The in-class quizzes make the class difficult but not impossible. Over-all good teacher but I would rather he had the quizzes online instead.

Entertaining lectures-he uses role play and humor. Definitely introduce yourself if he doesn't come talk to you first; he is very friendly and will likely have a lively conversation. Only thing I wish were different about this class is that the lectures were not very interactive; I prefer discussions to keep everyone focused. Easy A if you do work.

I found his classes and lectures to be mildly amusing, yet detailed information was given. If you pay attention, this class is fairly easy and you will actually learn a few things.

I love Dr. Hindson! His lectures helped me learn so much about the Old Testament and I appreciate it so much more because of this class! He made an 8:15 class worth it! Professor Hindson makes learning the Old Testament very easy and interesting. Workbook to take notes during class, as everything is on powerpoints, but do not have to turn workbook in at end of semester. Quizzes twice a week over reading material.

I took Dr. Ed Hindson for upper level and lover level Bible courses. Still using principals and information he taught me to continue studying the Bible. He really established a personal connection which is hard to do in a class that big.

Prof Hindson: lectures-amazing-jokes & are interesting. Knows much about Bible/conveys it simply. Too many books 2 buy (4). 2 online quizzes every week (10 questions-10 minutes-open book/notes). 2 online exams-on first 1/2 of course nb & 2nd 1/2 of nb, 100 q's each-1 hour-open notes/book. Dr. Ed Hindson taught very clearly from the textbook we used. I had no difficulty passing the class after the resources given to us. He is also very funny at the right moments of Biblically centered teaching.

He knows more about the Bible then anyone I've ever heard and I found his lecture style funny and engaging. You need to fill in the notes for sure to do well on the exams. He's kinda strict about eating and drinking in class so watch out for that. He will also call you out in front of the entire class if you talk to anyone you and he sees it.

Dr. Hinson is the best Professor I have taken at Liberty University. He gives amazing lectures, he jokes throughout the class time and makes the class go by very fast! The tests and quizzes are easy if you pay attention and read the textbook, as the schedule is laid out so you don't get overwhelmed with too much work! I would highly recommend!

Dr. Hindson is such a fun professor to listen to! At first I wasnt sure Id be able to pay attention, but he does an amazing job of making you feel like youre a part of the stories being taught. Hes very funny and very knowledgeable as well! I would love to take a class with him again!

Dr. Hindson is one of the most knowledgeable and caring teachers I have ever had. He knows so much about the Bible and loves to share it. He also does some funny skits however there are lots of quizzes and they have lots of reading that they are based on. Overall great class and thankful I took it with him.

Dr. Hindson was a great professor with a sense of humor and genuine understanding of Biblical studies. He made lectures engaging and easy to comprehend. Quizzes and tests are open book and open notes, and there is one large assignment due towards the end of the semester. Easy A!
