Dr. Thomas is a good teacher teaching a hard subject. This class isn't an easy A or an easy B, you have to be willing to work. He drops the lowest test grade which is nice, and he also scales the grades needed to pass. You need roughly a 55% to get a D, 65% for a C and so on. He's not trying to fail you, but you need to do some work to stay afloat.

Dr. Thomas clearly loves Physics II, but he's just too smart to be teaching the subject. He has a hard time dumbing things down enough for them to make sense, and tests you as if you understand the subject as much as he does. He does drop a test and some quizzes/homeworks, but he doesn't like to curve and will make you work hard for a good grade.

Very tough class, mainly because I'm not great at physics. I managed to pass because Physics II was the last in my physics sequence and Dr. Thomas changed the grading scale to make a 54 a D. He rarely does examples in class, only concepts. Tests are normally half multi-choice concept questions and half long answer applied problems
