Eddie is quite possibly the most approachable prof I've ever had. Yes he's funny. Yes he's young and let's you call him Eddie, but more importantly, he knows the material and how to teach it. I had the pleasure of having a great calculus prof before and Eddir is right up there with him. Given the chance, I would take any class Eddie teaches. Any.

This guy is absolutely AWESOME(with capital letters). He knows how to teach, and does his best to be clear. DO attend his lectures not only just to hear a funny quote, but also to get a free cookie :) He is more of a friend rather than a prof. Don't be surprised if your email gets stalked by his funny messages :))

Jesus of Calculus as someone previously put sums him up pretty well. Made getting up at 8:30 for his class worth it. Also had some great movie and tv show recommendations. Midterm was brutal but the final was reasonable and the assignments were all very very helpful.

Great prof! If you get him you are very lucky! Makes everything very easy to understand, assignments go along with exactly what was taught in class that week with a few challenge problems that bring even further understanding. He's hilarious and enjoyable to listen to as well :)

Probably my favorite prof so far. He is really good at explaining concepts, even tougher ones, offers extra help to anyone who needs it, and makes class really fun with his humor and voice tone. His lectures were the ones I would actually look forward to going to! Attend his lectures then review his notes and you'll do well in the course.

The best prof I've had in all my math and cs courses. He makes every lecture interesting and he talks in a way that will never bore you to sleep. He's pretty much always available to help with assignments and he made the course in general so much easier to understand.

Very clear explanations most of the time, occasionally some topics are explained to a lesser degree. Always available during office hours unless someone else is there. Very helpful, shows you the logic behind the code and expects you to try it on your own. If that fails then he walks you through the code. One of the best at waterloo.

Amazing person and lecturer

Lectures were engaging, easy to follow, and very useful. Dupont also was very entertaining before, during, and at the end of lecture. He has an intimate understanding of the course, and made you very prepared for the examinations.

One of THE best professors at UW, great at explaining and understands the content very well. Office hours are always available and sometimes you can just drop in and ask questions. Very patient and can explain concepts in the simplest way so anyone can understand. Very funny and engaging lectures, and you can never fall asleep in his class.

He makes his lectures clear and engaging. He emails you the codes that he did in class with additional notes in them so you can go over them easily. He also attaches strange yet amusing gifs in his emails. His examples are memorable and different from the course notes. He has a nice beard too.

One of coolest profs you'll ever meet. His jokes are hilarious and he explains concepts very well while providing very helpful examples in class. You won't ever regret having him as a prof and I highly recommend this guy.

EDDIE DUPONT IS THE BEST. CS 116 is an extremely annoying course and he made the lectures fly by at 8:30 am. Seriously, I can't say enough good stuff about him. He's also really funny.

Eddie is one of the best profs I've ever had, and I'm an Arts student! He cares about his student's success and keeps classes entertaining and engaging. Something I really admire about him, is that he answers student questions without ever be condesending.

It's really hard to describe the prof, since there are soooo many good things I have learned from him. Just in one word, the BEST prof I have ever met!

My favourite prof at UW. He uses amazing examples that keep you interested in the subject but also helps you learn extremely well. Class is a great time, and he helps you do well in the course. Great in-class clicker questions that get you thinking, and his notes are very helpful. 10/10

Honestly probably one of the best profs our class has ever had. His lectures and notes are very clear and easy to follow, he never answers questions condescendingly (even tho we asked some stupid questions) and is always available outside of class for questions. He responds to emails super quick too, at some pretty weird hours lol

I am so lucky to have had Eddie in my first semester at uni. He helped me a lot to adjust and he was so caring. I could tell that if you make yourself known to him, he views you as one of his children. Eddie is a gem and idk if any other prof can top him. Thanks Eddie

A really great prof, who is able to simplify some really abstract concepts. I requested extra practice problems for quiz preparation and when neither of the books that he recommended were available he went to the library himself to find a good calc book and sent me the problems via email. It's nice to see that amount of effort put in by a prof

Eddie was one of my favourite profs in my entire undergrad. I absolutely hated CS 135, but he made CS 116 an absolute pleasure. Eddie is interesting and effortlessly funny, but still makes it clear how much he cares for students. He always did a great job of answering any questions I had and was simply the best.

Great teacher with lots of enthusiasm. I love all the unique suits he wears to class. Sometimes his lectures get too technical, so I stopped going to lectures after midterms. However, he has really good course notes that he wrote himself. They're condensed and very easy to follow along if the lecs get too confusing.
