Energetic and tries to keep people's interest. However, I frequently found my mind wandering because his ever-occurring examples never seemed to end. Word of advice take the 1040 class in the summer. Much easier. No New York times quizzes and your homework counts 40% of the grade. I took it in the Fall and got a D, took it again in the summer and got a B even though I miserably failed all the test. Just do the homework correctly (super easy) and you can make at least a B in the class.

This class was very difficult. Unlike most core classes, this one taught by Prof. Meaders forced you to learn and study much more intensely. That would be fine, except that me and most people are not actually interested in this class. Prof. Meaders was a lawyer, which is reflected in how he lectures. He's a nice guy, just gets off topic sometimes.

This class is a joke. Especially if you are not in Political Science Major. Those exams are ridiculously long. No practice exams from him. He will give you bullet points on an area to study. Oh you must read, cuz if you don't you are screwed. But long story short, this class absolutely doesn't even matter if your major is not related.

This class is beyond easy but I feel that his lectures can be very pointless at times . He tends to get off subject and lets other people take over his class at times . We also have lots of quizzes that I couldnt seem to always keep up with and everything is due at 12pm always and theres no making it up. The exams are super long can be passed.

Dont read too much into the bad reviews; Meaders is a sweet guy and his lectures cover all the ground for test and quiz materials. He gets off topic sometimes, but thats a perk of being in his class. Dr. Meaders is a really nice and caring person but I don't feel I learned anything from this class. He gets so off-topic every lecture and is so slow-moving through the information. It makes it extremely hard to stay engaged in class. There are very few grades in the class, just two exams and a 12 page paper.

Dr. Meaders is very well versed in political science, making him a great resource for those interested in the field. He is also very funny, although his lectures tend to be more anecdotal and example-heavy than content based, which can be frustrating at times. He offers extra credit on tests by asking questions regarding current political events.

I cannot stress this enough avoid taking this professors classes at any cost. Youll be teaching yourself the content as he gets off topic most of the time, so READ THE BOOK. He seems like a fun and cheery guy, but there is literally no need to attend the lecture, except for the fact that attendance is calculated into your final grade.

Even though he is a very nice person/professor, I struggle to pay attention and soak any useful information in class. It can take him up to 2-3 weeks to go over a whole PowerPoint as he goes off-topic often. Assignments take time but are easy but exams are the worst as you had to study on your own to do well as class lectures were barely useful.

Dr. Meaders was an amazing professor and I loved his class. He gave us very unique insight on the topics we learned and I appreciated his down-the-middle view on topics that we would turn. One thing that I wasn't too crazy about this class is the lack of a review for the test which made it very difficult to study for. I would take his class again.

I'd stay away from him if you can. It isn't like he is a bad guy, he's funny and nice. But his lectures are so drawn out and he talks about nothing of the actual materials or anything on the exams. Furthermore, the exams account for 65% of your grade, so you can easily tank this class. I mean he's not horrible but stay away if you can.

Lectures were entertaining when I went (attendance not mandatory and early class, didn't go a lot lol). A decent amount of online textbook work but they're not due until the days of the tests, so it's manageable. Wasn't hard but some test questions were based off lecture tidbits (I guessed and still got As, so they're not hard).

Lectures can be hit-or-miss - the professor sometimes goes off on tangents, but when he's on point, the content is engaging.
