Not being so great at math, I was worried that I wouldn't do well and my GPA would be trashed, esp. since I couldn't get the textbook. But Mrs. Donahou is a good teacher, if class ended early she would stay the full time to help anyone who needed it. She cares how students perform. I understood the material and actually achieved an A in this class.

Mrs. Donahou is the best math teacher I've ever had! She teaches very well, and if you do not understand, she's happy to help. HW is optional, and her study guide for tests are based on the actual test. If you miss a class, you'll be lost. So go to class! Very easy to get an A in her class! Would take her again for sure!

I hate math and i was not looking forward to this class AT ALL when i signed up but when the class started i actually felt like i knew what i was doing because her lessons are so helpful! She is strict when it comes to noise level but its good because she wants her students to succeed.

Aleks program was very complicated. A live instructor explaining what Alek didn't is a must. Wish I had taken class w/out Aleks. Mrs. D really cares about her students & wants everyone to pass. Not your typical math teacher. I called her the "hummingbird" as she can flit all over the place at rapid speeds. Made me nervous at times. A+ instructor!

I have Dyscalculia and Eden was kind enough to take extra time to help me understand things better. Even though I got a C+ in this class, it wasn't for her lack of trying, Math is just very hard for me. I took the ALEKS course, I was able to only come in for exams, otherwise she didn't mind if I just did the work at home. Very nice and caring prof.

This was my 1st college class in over 20 years! Math scared me to death. Professor Donahou is by far the most AMAZING math teacher EVER!!! Her explinations were incredible and she is SO kind and patient. If you put the time in on Aleks you will be sure to get an A!

Took her online class using Aleks for summer term. She answers emails same day and holds several on campus sessions for people needing help. Has a pencast explaining every topic, and I found these very helpful. Offers extra credit often. If you take Aleks class, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! It is included in the program. If you go through class quickly, she will let you start the next class so that you can possibly test out.

Grade is based on whether you do your work. Did the class through ALEKS, but I'm a super lazy student and turned everything in late. She is so sweet and super helpful; she replies to emails immediately and does pencasts for each lesson. I was scared to take an online course, let alone a math one and was satisfied with this course. I recommend her.

Best Professor I have had to date at Seminole State. Math has never been easy for me, but she bent over backwards to ensure I understood. She holds math labs for those who need extra help, and is willing to meet you in her office for more help. As for those who think she gets off track, I disagree. She simply has so many questions to address.

I never did well in math but she makes it easier for me to understand and she doesn't pressure her students with unrealistic deadlines +extra credit all the time.

Professor Donohue is an awesome professor! I am taking her right now for intermediate math. Let me tell you this, come to class, pay attention and do the work and you will be fine. She is great, she does get off topic a bit sometimes but some how she brings it back to what she is teaching on the board. No text book to buy, you have to use ALEKS which is a online code for class. If you are going to be taking more than one math class in a year you should buy a year long code. It will be cheaper for you in the long run.

She stays after class to help. Does a great job connecting this crazy Algebra stuff to things I can actually relate to. The content isn't easy but she definitely works with you till you understand. Surprisingly, I actually get most of this now. ALEKS gives all I need including a a lot of her videos & notes & only work on what you need to learn.

What an amazing professor and a person Ms. Donahou is. Only because of her I like math. My only frustration is that she is not teaching College Algebra.

Although this was a tuff class Professor Donahou is there to help with what she can. This course requires the ALEKS program. Many instructional videos are available I suggest using them when you are struggling with a problem. If math does not come easy to you studying is a must, but with the aid of Professor D and study material you can get an A.

This professor was one of the sweetest that i have ever had. She made asking questions or speaking up in class very easy. She was always and i mean always there to help whenever needed. If you show up to class and ask for help when needed, you would easily pass the class!

Cares for his students, sets you up for success.

She will correspond through email and will let you meet her in the office to discuss the issues that you are having with some of the formulas. Be ready to devote at least two to three hours a day on the objectives to finish them up and make sure to gets 100 % on the reviews in Alek's it makes a difference.

Always quick to respond to emails. Presented material in a logical way that I could understand. Willing to help when needed. Goofy activities actually made it somewhat fun. You will learn in spite of yourself. I came in hating Math and left with a greater appreciate and understanding!

She tries to make learning fun, and doesn't look down on you no matter how much or how little you know about Math. She is easy to get ahold of even outside of class, via e-mail if you need additional assistance. All-in-All a fantastic teacher and I look forward to taking another class with her in the near future .

SHE IS AWESOME!!! Easy teaching & explains things until you get it! Give you half the class to work on what she just went over which ends up being your homework and will go around class helping students 1 on 1! Not many like her out there anymore! She puts together tutoring sessions for you and will even take time after class!

Online. Great teacher. Aleks program can be hard but explained it well . Knowledge checks (relearn topics if you fail them) +quizzes every objective. Great syllabus . Each week had to have 5 hrs + 10 topics done but in order to pass course you'd need to do more than this a week. Have to pass final exam with a 70 or you fail the class. no midterm

Online./ This is the second class I have taken with her. She's amazing but this class was alot harder than Dev math Complete opposite, 50% of the grade for the class is based on 4 test you take in ALEKS which are proctored in the test center. Then you have practice test 10% Class work/Pies work 20% I don't think ill pass the first time honestly.

No textbook, but you have to get aleks code, that's were you have the homework and pretty much all the classwork, she teaches in a way that you understand it, she does teach many ways so you have to have patience lol, and also she looks up when she talks like she rarely will look at you.

I took Professor Donahou for intermediate algebra and she was just great! She is willing to help if you do not understand. I used aleks and I really loved that program. Gives out some extra credit, gives take home quizzes before tests, and provides a 15 minute study session before tests to ask questions. 10/10 recommend taking her for intermediate.

She is the best professor in my math class. She is very caring and gives a lot of extra credit point. She makes sure you understand and take time with her student. You not need a textbook but have to buy a code for Aleks. Take her if you are looking the professor of math.

If you're not a fan of online homework and tests then I wouldn't recommend. She is a great professor that does her best to help you understand and actually enjoys teaching. if you do all your work and do well on tests you should be fine. Ask a lot of questions.

It will take time to earn your grade and cramming didn't work on my 1st test. I changed gears and used the practice tests and great videos attached to the topics & finished with an A! Never have I passed a class with a 100%, let alone a math class. The ALEKS practice tests exact material that your tests are on, you're allowed to retake what you missed if you get a 100% on the practice test. This teacher is an Angel. She puts in meticulous videos to explain everything, links you to tutors, and emails you back always + reminders

Professor Donahou is a great math professor! She teaches her students different ways to solve problems and makes sure each student understands the lesson. Her class uses Aleks and it is not difficult to use. If you need more help understanding a topic she will work with you one on one in class.

This is by far the best teacher so far I came across at Seminole State Miss Donahue really cares about her students. This is more than a paycheck to her;I took her class online and she has tons of videos to help you . If math is not your strongest subject after taking this lady class you will be more confident with math.

My professor for Math class was Eden Donahou and I must absolutely rate her phenomenal skills of teaching. In every interaction with her and in her classroom, I felt loved, and cared for each time! She went always above and beyond to help us understand the material she was introducing and also have the chance to enjoy it! I really am going to miss

This Prof. is very heplful and checks the class as a whole to see which are struggling and help build on that. Will let you do homework in class and you can ask her when you are stuck on a promblem. The test are very weighted so you need to do good on those test but don't slack off on homework.

Uses Aleks system. Very helpful. Has teacher videos to further explain things if you don't get it through Aleks materials. Sends notes on your progress. Tests are taken at school (5 in total), but you know when to schedule them in advance and you have about a week to do it. If you get >80% on the test, you can do a quick retake to get a 100%.

Prof Donahou was born to teach Math! After being out of school for 20yrs, she helped me refresh my Math. She has over 400 videos available for different types of problems. If you are struggling on a problem, she will send you a video walking you step by step. She goes over and beyond! I chose her for Int Alg as well, she is that good!

Math is not an easy subject for me but she makes it so much easier to understand. All the work is done through ALEKS and she puts multiple videos with step by step instructions on each topic and is ALWAYS willing to help you in any way she can! Eden Donahou really loves math which makes it easy for her to teach the class. Everytime she teaches a class, she always compares it to a life event which made it easier to learn.

Math is tough and I had to really work for my A (108% was my final grade, I'm still in shock). She has videos attached to every topic that walks you through how to do the problems. You can take the practice test, for each objective, as many times as you want and you have several opportunities to get extra credit! This class is set up for success!

I took professor Eden Donahou last summer and I really enjoyed being in her class and appreciate her. At first I was a Little scare to take her because this was my second time taking Intermediate Algebra but Professor Eden made it more than understandable . Her practice Test are similar to the Testes . Shes always available to HELP! TAKE HER!!!!

I can't say enough about Professor Donahou. I have a learning disability with math and I very carefully researched Professors that were kind and understanding as well as helpful. In the first week of class, my husband suffered an Aortic Dissection and was in ICU for a week. She was very helpful and kind and encouraged me not to give up. Take her!

Excellent teacher! She responds quickly via email and has supportive Webex meetings twice a week for assistance on problems, tips/tricks, or general questions. The entire course is a self teaching style through ALEKS. She provides videos on every single problem that are very helpful. She gives extra credit. I would highly recommend her class.

I loved her! She's funny and very nice, will tell you exactly what you need to do to pass her class. Meets with everyone to let them know where they stand in progress etc. Willing to work with you as long as you are showing effort. I wish I could have taken her for every other math class I had. She had a tutor come in the last half of every class.

Excellent teacher! Completely Online using Aleks. Prof Donahou provides 100s of videos to help learn Objectives , provides extra credit for each Test, and PDFs with worked examples. She also hosts weekly voluntary Webex meetings to help with solving math problems. Extremely responsive with good feedback.

Professor Eden Donahou is such a great professor, despite being strictly online now, the course is via Aleks but she is very well organized, has videos for every chapter to better help understand and also soffers extra credit. I was finally able to understand algebra with this professor and the program she uses. She was very nice and gave us check ins to let us know how we were doing and was very encouraging. I would definitely take her again. Course required a lot of work but it was worth it.

Took this hybrid, once weekly, class. It was like having an online class but with support. Lectures on the most needed topics which was soooo helpful! Her examples and connections to "real-world" really helped me understand and learn. All work is done in the ALEKS program which I really liked. Got immediate feedback. Can't say that I've had a better math teacher. She is super supportive and caring. She knows that college isn't the only part of our life and she respects that. Her qualifications, show through her teaching and I'm surprised she isn't teaching at better schools. That should tell you where her heart is. She also explains the math very well.

She was very quick to provide help when needed, both with zoom sessions we could schedule and through email. She often made videos for me of the problems I was stuck on. I even got videos from her without asking on some things that I just couldn't get. She really wants us to "learn & earn a passing grade", as she states...and it is true!

Professor Eden is very helpful and makes time via zoom for all her students she also helps you via pre recorded videos for all topics! Professor Eden is very understanding and she makes sure you understand everything she is explaining to you via zoom before moving on. She have a great grading policy and also let you know how you can view your grade

She offers a lot of help and even does ZOOM sessions. Great teacher. ALEKS sucks, but what can you do when you have to take remedial classes. It can be a lot since the exams can be any math topic from over 300 topics. That means you can have very easy questions or really complex math problems in the exam. Good luck.

Amazing teacher! If I could take her for the rest of my math classes I definitely would! She does one on one zoom tutoring with you to help you with the homework and quizzes if you are having trouble.

Though hesitant taking an online class, it exceeded expectations. Very quick to respond, often making videos of the topics that I struggled with, which were easy to send through ALEKS. I hope that whichever student needs to take this class chooses her. With her help, I have a complete refresher on algebra!!! I can happily say I passed her class! Totally recommend!

I am so happy I took Prof. Donahou! Math has kept me from having my career and I decided to give it another try and to say I passed the class with 106%. I learned so much! Prof. Donahou responds very quick and is always available for one-on-one tutoring. Don't hesitate to take her class!

I put in the time/effort to "learn/earn" a successful completion (her words), over the summer. I took College Algebra in the Fall and was well prepared, seemingly better than many of my peers. This was all thanks to Prof. Donahou. She responded quickly creating videos explaining the steps and even the Why of the problems I struggled with. TAKE HER!

Super flexible with her tests as they are 70% of your grade. If you are polite she might open them again so you can fix your mistakes and have a better grade.

I cannot say enough good things about Prof. Donahou! I am horrible at math and always have been but she has made this course so much easier. She is attentive, understanding, caring, and really wants to see you do well. I highly recommend her!

I am absolutely horrible at math and have had my share of horrible math teachers but Prof. Donahou is NOT one of them. She is ABSOLUTELY amazing and if I could have her for college algebra, I totally would. She is so caring, she genuinely wants to see you do well, and is a reliable source for help. Professor Donahous is amazing!! She gives so much extra credit. Also, she dropped a couple of my bad test scores so that my grade would increase. All around amazing! Put forth the effort and she'll help you pass!

Honestly a lottttt of work. The entire course was on Aleks, and there was a ton to do. But proctoring was very chill and it was overall a very very easy course if you have time. She is really nice and has a ton of resources available to help you learn. She sends a ton of emails.

She's a really nice professor, she does have you show your work, but this helps because if she sees you're on the right track she will help you with your test. There are extra credit options as well which helped me a ton. There is a lot of homework but that is to be expected with it being a math class. I loved this professor.

Professor Donahue was a very involved teacher, sending emails with help on subjects each week. She was easy to reach, very friednly and accomodating.

Great professor! She gives out alot of extra credit and gives you a chance to boost your grade up. Her class is so easy and I suck at math so I was nervous but all we do is online math work on our own and quizzes. She such an easy teacher. Wish I could take her for college algebra

Ms. Donahou was incredibly easy and always reiterated her availability, which says everything about a good online professor. Impressively, she let us out of the course halfway through if we had a B or better, making her class both manageable and supportive.

Professor Donahou is an amazing online math instructor. She's incredibly supportive and makes extra videos to explain tough concepts. Using Unstuck study along with her resources really helped me succeed in this course.

The class was fairly easy Im usually bad at math but with the materials provided i was able to do very well in the class. There is tutoring and office hours available but it wasn't really needed. I was able to learn the concepts quickly and was very prepared for test. as long as you do all the assignments the test are easy to pass.

This professor makes math an easy A. i'm not the best at math, but passed with an A. exams are proctored.. but still easy. would recommend

Professor Donohou was an amazing math professor. She has tons of videos and is willing to help you. Tests are worth 50% of your grade and the final is worth 20%. The tests use honorlock so you're not allowed to use your notes which makes it harder. She does accept late work with a small penalty and she has practice tests similar to the actual one.

Every homework assignment came with a helpful video explanation, and each test included a practice version plus opportunities for extra credit. The final exam counted for 20% of the overall grade and could replace your lowest test score if it was higher. I truly appreciate Professor Donahou for helping me finally understand algebra.
