This guy is a really good teacher. He's not really hard but you do need to come to class, pay attention and do the homework... which is not too demanding. He's funny and makes the lectures entertaining and makes himself available for questions before and during class. Tests are very fair and so are quizzes. I would recommend him. I had a lot of fun

He writes his own verbal lecture on the board and provides examples. He?s pretty sociable and keeps the class interesting but do not mistake that for it being an easy class. By definition this is a weed-out class, and can be quite challenging if you?re not putting the work in.

he is pretty youthful for his age, passionate about mathematics. i liked the way he taught, a lot, although i can see why people don't like it. he grades fairly, he gives partial credit for problems you totally screwed up. the comments below about him belittling you for asking question, it's just his personality he's just off the wall hippy.

If you show up and do your homework, you'll pass. Easy as that. Half my Intermediate Algebra class dropped. Most people didn't do homework so I'm guessing lots of bad grades. If you're looking for an easy A take someone else but if you want someone passionate, playful and sometimes hilarious I reccomend this guy for sure.

Excellent teacher. Wont annoy u by writing EVERYTHING and going extremely slow as if it was a mentally challenged class. Explains the logic behind the math for much better understanding and appreciation and then MOVES ON. His teaching is excellent and he's very helpful. No mandatory homework and a quiz almost every day. Def worth taking his class.

Best algebra teacher I have ever had. He is sp clear and easy to understand! I would love to have him again!

Im currently taking him for Cal I and i will DEFINITELY take him again for Cal II. He makes class interesting with his nerdiness (correct?). Homeworks are not required but encouraged. For people complaining he is hard, Cal I is a "weed-out" class. Which means if math isnt your strong point, your gonna get "weeded" out. But overall, great teacher.

I am currently taking his class. He is AWESOME! Very helpful. I would take him again next semester but he is not teaching at NRG. Let me say it again he is such an AWESOME professor.

I have him for class this semester and he is so funny. He always throws a piece of chalk when he gets down the end of it, towards the trash can,but always misses. haha. Out of all the times I have seen him throw the chalk, he made it like twice. haha :) I so recommend him. Of course he great at teaching us math. :)

I have Fisher this semester and I think he is a Great teacher! Funny, charismatic, and Very Helpful, and also a very good teaching method. He throws little facts in there every now and then, likes to joke with us, cares about his students. I highly recommend this guy.

One of the best math teachers I've had- Cacl II is very hard, and he explains things very well. The class itself is unrelenting and you need to stay on top of things, but you will have plenty of help through Edgar.

He is an excellent teacher. He has a great sense of himor and mkes algebra fun. He makes a lot of funny jokes, but always sticks to the point. He offers to help and always tries to make a student understand. I highly recommend this teacher!

this is best math teacher i have ever had. him and his wife both teach at acc. Julie. i took him for intermediate alg. he explains the material very well. he answers questions about the homework and any quizes. He teaches, trig and cal as well. this guy is smart. you can tell he really cares about his job. he's pretty funny too.

Amazing math teacher. Extremely willing to put in the extra time to clarify things if ever there's confusion. Wish he taught Calc III!

If you have any trouble with algebra, this professor is sooo awesome that you will learn to at least appreciate it. Awesome lectures - the notes from these are what really helped me study for tests. He makes it fun and it is obvious that he loves math and wants you to get it. I'm so grateful to have taken one of his classes.

he is an excelent teacher who loves his job. he cares that his students understand his tecaching. in his class i found out that math can be fun to to learn,he makeds the class fun with his jokes. i highly remmend him for any student,specially if you have problem with math.

Calc II is hard, but he makes it fun and interesting. I have always hated math and after taking his class, I found that I might like it more than I thought. Strongly recommend him.

This professor loves math. He really wants you to love it too. He doesn't collect homework, but he gives quizzes every day from the homework. He wasn't hard, but he wasn't easy. Do well on the tests and you'll do fine.

Fisher's class was the only math class I've ever enjoyed.

I HATE MATH. And this guy is the absolute BEST math teacher I've ever had. ever. He's great. Goofy, funny. Well organized. You have to show up to class to make a good grade. *Good notes are a MUST because he gives open note quizzes every other day* Overall great teacher.

I went from all A's in every Math to a C in his Cal 1. I would recommend taking Cal 1 with him ONLY if you're already familiar w/ CAL. Pros: Great notes, makes class really interesting and you learn some cool tricks. Cons: Test are challenging(very challenging), Talks extremely fast. No Extra credit period. It felt more like an HONORS level class.

By far the best math teacher I've ever had. This guy is hilarious! Even though I got my first B ever in his Calc 1 class, I've already registered for his Calc 2. Material can be frustrating but he's always willing to help if you ask. Quizes every other day and exams are no joke. Be prepared to work!

GREAT TEACHER! He is extremely helpful, always answers any doubts you may have and takes time so ACTUALLY understand what he is saying. Super funny and personable. Makes you see the importance of why he's teaching you all these crazy things and how you use them in real life. Buenisimo!! I would take him for all my other math classes.

Best teacher I’ve had at acc by far. I hated math before this class. It's not easy, but he positions you to be successful as long as you put in the work. I didn’t even get a book and still pulled a B. Just show up to EVERY class, take notes, and ACTUALLY STUDY for tests!

I hate math but he is an amazing teacher!! He helped me understand problems that I did not quite understand, he also helped me to slow down and take my time. better to get it right the first time then having to try over and over again! love him as a teacher wish all my math teachers could be like him

Great professor, explains clearly, goes fast sometimes, but will help you during his office hours. Tests are challenging but doable if you study. This course is much harder than Cal 1.

Professor Fisher is hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. He expects more of his students and challenged us so that we really learned the material. I hope to take his classes again.

Prof. Fischer is amazing! He is helpful and loves seeing his students succeed. His class was extremely challenging for me, a non Math person, but I still got a B. Study the material and GO TO OFFICE HOURS.

This guy is awesome! Had him for Calc1, got a B and still took him for Calc2. Test are challenging and he gives quizzes just about every other day but if you try you'll learn a lot. Definitely recommended!

Edgar takes a developmental approach to teaching calculus. Most professors know the material but can't teach it. Edgar knows the material and teaches it with patience and makes understanding the material pretty easy. Don't fool yourself, it's still calculus, but he makes it painless. Highly recommend.

AMAZING TEACHER! Super funny and really cares, if you do. His notes and quizzes are straight from the test. I will be taking him until I'm finished with my math classes through college. Not bad on the eyes either. ;)

Fairly funny and definitely entertaining. He does a wonderful job at keeping the class interested and does a good job at making confusing topics clear. Easy to understand. The cons with him are that it is really, really hard to achieve an A. You have to do everything and study your butt off to get an A. He offers no bonuses on tests or extra credit

Not an "easy A" for most people, but it was a little easy for me. Calculus has new concepts in it that people won't understand their first time. This guy made it more bearable. He's funny and entertaining. Don't give excuses, he doesn't buy them. He is a little harsh on grading, but he's looking for specific steps and reasoning to help you later on

Best math teacher I ever had. Before taking this class I hadn't taken a math class in 2 years. Even with that hurdle I was still able to do well in this class. The tests are hard but he gives you plenty of opportunities to seek help at his office hours. He is snarky in a funny way so be careful about asking dumb question he will poke fun at you.

I took professor Fisher's class during summer thinking I was going to dread it. But, he's an awesome professor and knows what he's doing. He's extremely helpful and clever. Despite the fact the class was fast paced I must say he definitely covered everything in an efficient way as opposed to other professors. Totally recommend him.

He's a great professor; perfect balance of having high expectations of students yet is accessible when they need help. Has an open door policy with his office hours and encourages students to stop by to work on homework. Needless to say, his office is always full. Lectures are extremely organizedconcise. Lots of quizzes and worksheets, which help.

Mr. Fisher is amazing. I have never had a math teacher make me laugh as much as he did. He keeps the energy up and makes class go by super fast. I took a five week course, and it was the easiest class I have ever taken. He gives worksheets and quizzes every day, but you can use your notes and help each other. Easy A or B, and good prep for algebra.

The kind of teacher that makes you forget you're at community college. Writes important material on the board for easy note-taking and explains clearly. Answers questions succinctly without derailing lecture. My next semester is scheduled around him being my Cal II teacher. Attendance is optional but you'll regret not showing up. Had a day 1 quiz.

I love Edgar Fisher. Thanks to him I love math again. Pushed me to do my best and I did. Great, amazing teacher. Super fun, funny, kind of crazy but in a great way. I took his class early in the morning when I'm usually sleepy and it was great to start the day with someone soooo full of energy. I recomend him to anyone looking to do great in math

Love this guy. I took a 5 week algebra class with him over the summer and he actually made this 7:30 AM, jam-packed knowlegde-cramming class enjoyable. He's funny, upbeat, and helpful. Quizzes every day. Homework optional. Gives partial credit. His personality and general happiness make up for the fact that you're doing math.

Best math teacher I've had- ever. Took Mr. Fisher for my necessary Elementary Algebra course (I've always been bad at math). The quizzes the next day are over the previous day's lecture and homework, so you can get easy A's on quizzes! Very understanding of needing extra explanation. Got an A in the class!

If you have a chance to take this class, take it with Fisher. He enjoys math and is a really fun teacher. He writes out the notes on the board and follows with plenty of examples. As with any math class, you do need to show up but it's not hard to want to go to class with him (I hate math). Homework from the book isn't checked but it's a good idea.

Homework is not mandatory, you do have quizzes everyday but not on days before or of tests, he lets you use your notes for them! You do have worksheets almost everyday except days before or of tests. He also grades fairly: show work credit! I would definitely take him again!

He is really great at teaching math. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask them in class. There are worksheets for (almost) every section, usually due the next class period. Textbook homework is not collected, but you should do it anyways for more practice. As long as you copy down notes during class, you will be fine!

Great, funny, clever and entertaining professor. Knows his stuff. Really drills the material into your head. Gives HW pretty much everyday but it's usually just 1 sheet of HW. Gives Quizzes practically everyday over previous sections, only a few questions. Took 370 with him and made a great grade, this one not so much.

He's a fantastic professor! He makes math not miserable. Expect a quiz every time you have class. Practice practice! Very helpful with homework during office hours. Awesome class!

This guy is an amazing professor. He makes sure you enjoy math rather than dread it. He gives a quiz every class and lets you use your homework and worksheets on the quizzes. He does not collect homework and lets you know that it is optional but helpful as most of his in-class examples and quizzes are derived from the book.

Great professor. Clear lecture, good examples in class. Non-calculator part of a test was not hard at all if you had studied. i went by his notes and read the book only if needed. I had dropped Pre-cal before I took this class. I am confident that I will do well in Pre-cal after taking Fisher's class. Wish he taught Pre-cal.

One of my favorite professors of all time! Of course the material is going to be hard but he makes it really easy to understand and gives you lots of opportunities to practice. The tests are too hard at all and there is a quiz every class but they are short and helpful in reminding you of material!

Took him for algebra! Moves quick, but very efficient! Be ready for those daily SUPER easy quizzes, and don't miss class bc you really won't pass.

Fisher is very witty and smart. The way he approaches his teaching is different than any other professor I've had thus far. This is not an easy class and like all math courses, expect HW. However, if you put the work in, you will do well. If you didn't do well in Cal 1 I would suggest not taking him but a solid choice nonetheless. Would take again.

Perfect teacher. Very attentive during lecture; notices confusion on people's faces and addresses it. Constantly makes you laugh. Delivers the material in a very clear way, but he moves quickly and gives lots of quizzes. I find this to be helpful as it keeps your butt in gear. You have to stay on top of math. Will take for cal2!

Favorite professor I've had. Absolutely hilarious, loves what he teaches, wants everyone to succeed. There's a quiz done in class and a worksheet to turn in virtually every class. It's not an easy class, but he's an awesome guy and if you're willing to work a little bit then you'll have a great semester and really understand what you're learning.

Okay, I know that most people would complain that Professor Fisher does his lectures pretty fast. But overall, I think that he is really funny and helps a lot of students out by giving them tips and tricks with their Calculus 2 homework. We do have quizzes everyday (each 15 minutes long and 3-5 questions), but I still would recommend him for Cal 2.

You have to work pretty hard for an A or B in his class but not impossible. Hes always available in his office hours and willing to help you even in the dumb questions. Hes test are long but if you understand the concepts and know the steps, you should be fine.

Calculus is very hard and this teacher knows that and is willing to work with you to help you understand and pass. He's hilarious, inventive, and patient. I took his CAL 2 and 3 classes after having to drop CAL 2 bc of the boring lecture style teacher. Me and my classmates would all go to his office hours and do the hmwk together with his help.

Amazing teacher! I never liked math whatsoever, but Fisher's teaching is so funny and extremely helpful! I was never great at math but his teaching skills have help by so much. He's entertaining and always makes sure you understand what goes on, especially if you're shy to speak up. (never calls you out) would take again!!!

I am NOT a math person, but professor Fisher is the best math teacher i've ever had. He is so engaging and makes things easy to understand. I want to drop the math I am taking now just to take his class again. He is truly an amazing teacher and he genuinely cares about his students. Yes, he does give a lot of homework, but it is reasonable.

Professor Fisher is amazing!! I had him for Calculus 3 and he made it so much fun!! I looked forward to going to his class even though it was at 9 a.m. He honestly cares a lot for his students and will help you in any way. He does go fast in lecture but he is always availabe in office hours and will help. We never left a class without laughing!!

Edgar is the most real, energetic, inspiring guy you will ever meet. I always struggled in math, but after Edgar's course, I love it. He made math organized, teaching in a way that allows you to categorize problems and follow step-by-step paths a result. ABSOLUTELY TAKE HIM IF YOU GET THE CHANCE. (He bakes cookies for the final <3)

So engaging, kind, and funny. Made calculus easy and for me. Office hours are awesome hell walk you through the problems. Answers hw questions fast thru email, even on holidays and weekends. Truly cares for his students. such a positive force of energy and fair grader, partial credits. Best!

Professor Fisher is a great lecturer, always working through the material thoroughly. He posts all lectures and notes and is always available during office hours to help. He can be a bit brusque, but he's very friendly and funny. He grades tough but fair, show as much of your work as possible and ask questions and you'll do great in his class.

Edgar Fisher is very funny, caring, and a wonderful teacher. He cares about his students. My class was an online class and I used to think I loathed math, but he made it fun and I looked forward to class every morning. If you don't do your homework, get tutoring early on, or don't show up for class, you will have a much harder time in this class.

He does really well explaining concepts and techniques and making them seem way less intimidating. He's funny and energetic, gives a lot of opportunities for class participation. He's always willing to help students. Generous grader and gives weekly quizzes, 3-4 exams + final, and a lot of homework worksheets that all help out your grade chances.

If i could take Mr. Fisher again i would!! This was my 1st math course at ACC and i was so nervous i didnt know what to expect. He makes class fun and doesnt rush through it. Gives lots of examples of diff. problems. He takes off 1/2 points for silly things but youll learn. Tests were hard, quizzes were easy. SHOW UP FOR TUTORING HOURS!! he rocks

Professor Fisher is great, his lectures are never boring. He gives a lot of homework worksheets but make sure you do them because it is very similar to the exams. I really enjoyed his class although I am not good in math, but I made it thanks to him. Quizzes are open notes, very short, and not hard. Make sure you take him!

I highly recommend anybody to take Prof. Fisher's class! He's funny and has very structured lectures. Expectations are straightforward, and the only homework you have are worksheets not finished in class. I've always been the type to be scared of math, but he really cares about his students and helped me like math.

(taken at HCC) Precalculus is a scattered topic, but you get a sense of its unity from Fisher's course. The amount of homework is overstated: it takes an average of 20 minutes daily. He writes worksheets that are just difficult enough to make you think. His grading system, though harsh at first glance, turns out very generous. Attendance is key.
