You have homework every day besides the days to read the chapter.
I took an 8 week online class. There were manyyyy assignments. Each week there were 2 chapters, 2 discussion boards, 2 problem sets, 2 chapter tests. It was a lot for a full time student. She is a tough grader when it comes to the DBs and they made no sense and were not helpful at all. Save yourself the headache and don't take her class.
Incredibly helpful. Actually cares about students who prove they care, so show up and show her you're working hard, and it'll get you more than just benefit of the doubt from her. I'd take any class she taught.
I took her brain and behavior class, it was much more biology than psychology BUT I really loved it. Her class is extremely structured and she knows what she's doing. She's willing to help with anything and honestly cares about her students. One of the best professors I've had. She didn't grade on attendance but tests are based off lectures!
Be prepared to work hard and read a lot. Regarding the discussion questions; they're not an opportunity to simply "talk about yourself", they are designed to help you apply the "self-reference" tactic and really remember the material so you will do well on the quizzes and exam. I would highly recommend this professor and class to diligent students.
I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I had taken Psychology before and decided to retake it for a better grade, but her lectures truly helped me grasp the concepts so much better. Although it was online, she was very clear on her instructions and gave work that helped you understand the material very easily. I would highly recommend her for this class.
She was the worst teacher I have ever had at Macomb. Test were online timed and hard. I never skipped class and I read the book and still could not get a good grade. This teacher is a teacher that expects you to learn everything on your own not teach. Do not take this class I suggest all psychology classes taken at center campus if possible.
This class is not that bad. You just have to apply yourself. She's a tough grader for DB and I didn't catch on to that until midpoint. I took her for an 8 week online class. She's not very helpful though. I noticed on one discussion board people go to to ask questions, she would just post a link for them to read. What happen to ANSWERING questions?
The most challenging On Line class I have ever had. I did learn a lot. Expect lots of watching videos, reading, quizzes, discussion boards, assignments and a extremely hard 100 question Final Exam. Time Management is important for this class to make sure all work gets done and submitted on time. Not a blow off class. Need Book.
I took her class online, wasn't too hard, discussion forums were very easy!
she's very disrespectful to me saying that by my English typing I seem from another country. I'm born and raised in Detroit mi and I felt like she gave too much work at one time. She made this class very confusing to me. I will never waste my time with this woman ever again. I wouldn't recommend her either.
While I did not agree with the book selection for this class, the teacher was awesome. I went in with the intent to get an A and she helped me to achieve that (albeit barely). Really appreciated her caring enough to walk me through nonsensical coursework.
This was the hardest online class I ever had. There is an absurd amount of material that is covered in a week. You have two discussion board questions, two mastery training exercises that you have to work on every day, including weekends, to receive credit for, and there are two chapter tests.
There is a lot of reading within this class. Especially online because its only 8 weeks. I expected a heavy work load though. There is a lot of material to cover. You have to pace yourself and really understand the material before taking the quizzes. Professor Wakevainen was pretty absent through out the class. Only a few comments left from her.
There is way too much homework per week. Its very difficult to pass. Its quite impossible to memorize 2 chapters a week. She provides no details about what is or isn't important in the chapters. 2 tests a week, very difficult.
I took this class online & I felt that there was a decent amount of work, but Dr. Wakevainen is both clear & fair. If you are irresponsible with your time & unprepared, your grade will reflect that. If you use your time constructively by preparing for the weekly exams, doing the HW, etc. there is no reason you shouldn't get a very good grade.
I took Dr. W's online course. The class was difficult, but she gave us ALL the tools possible to succeed. She made individual study guides for each chapter, provided videos for additional (and optional) understanding, and answered questions quickly. Feedback was given on all assignments. Dr. W is a lovely, helpful professor! Just do the work!
The advice I would give to a student taking PSYC-2750 online is too really have time for the class and make sure its suitable for your schedule. You have to show up, do the work and take tests to earn credit. If you don't have time or can't be fully engaged in the course, the class isn't for you to take online. Overall, an amazing class to take!
Dr. Wakevainen is very helpful, provides awesome feedback, and gave extra credit which was awesome. The tests are not hard as long as you read the text and do the study guides which are required and definitely for your advantage. An A is not hard to achieve as long as you read the book and aren't afraid to ask for help. She responds quickly!
I took this class online, and I had a pretty good experience. At first the work load seems like a lot but its not. Just got to put in effort. Need textbook though.
I found this class to be pretty tough and not what I expected. Dr. W was very fair in her grading. This was my first time having her as a professor and I enjoyed it. The study guides took time but I was able to complete them in a day a couple times. She also gave good feedback on incorrect answers or questions on something. Always available too.
One of the best professors I have ever taken she always cares about what's going on and a great person to be around. A teacher you enjoy taking the class. Would recommend taking.
I've had Dr. Wakevainen for two classes now -on campus, and online- and you can tell she knows the material inside and out, and is passionate about the subject. If you have any questions, she's there - happy to help. And her feedback is always given in a kind and encouraging manner. Her classes are a lot of work, but they're worth it.
Really learned a lot in this class. Had a great time. Highly recommend Professor. W!
A LOT of work; 2 assignments, 2 quizzes each week, which would be okay if the assignments werent 100+ questions each and very difficult. It wont be easy finding the correct answers without dissecting each word of the chapter. & the prof doesnt answer questions in a timely manner. Wouldnt recommend to anyone that doesn't have A LOT of time to commit
Dr. Wakevainen was an excellent online professor! She cared about your work and gave great feedback. Out of four summer classes this was my easiest class due to the prof. There were two study guides along with two tests each week and a final at the end. Study guide answers were in the book as you read and test answers were from the study guide.
Dr. W was a great professor and KNOWs this material. She has a very clear grading criteria that is discussed in the syllabus. The book was super beneficial and interesting content. If you read, do the study guides, and study those study guides before the weekly quizzes, you should have an enjoyable semester in this class. Manage your time!
Online classes can be really tough because you aren't face to face with the teacher, but Dr. Wakevainen was very involved in the class. She responded promptly in the question boards, and always promptly graded the study guides with corrections. It made it easier for me to see what I was having trouble with, so I could go over that material again.
Really understanding, will answer any questions you have and gives good feedback on her online classes. If she sees you've worked and tried hard on the class, she'll be more lenient with late assignments and such.
She knows the material, and grading was straightforward. I took the course online, and each week had 4 assignments: 2 study guides and 2 chapter test/quizzes. Study guides do take time, and the quizzes are timed. If you turn in the study guide early enough, she'll grade it and include corrections without taking points off.
PSYC 2600 Social Psychology is a fairly challenging class. I took it online and spent a good amount of time on reading. That prep work made the tests much easier so I would definitely recommend reading and taking notes before taking the tests. This class was well worth taking and Dr. W is very helpful and gives good feedback.
I found Psyc 2600 to be challenging but very interesting. I took it online. It was a pretty busy time but I think that was because it was an 8 week course. The key to doing well in this class is prep work. Dr. W was very prompt with her grading and follow up.
This was a very educational, informational class. No, it is not a breeze, it is not supposed to be, I work 40 hours a week and have a 4 year old son, I was able to complete the class with an A and I am no genius. Dr. W, was very fair and informational, if you have questions ASK THEM! She will get back to you in a timely manner. I enjoyed her!
Dr. Wakevainen was easily one of the best professors I've had at MCC. It is clear that she truly cares about her students as she gives detailed feedback on class discussions. Her discussion topics were absorbing, and her lectures were thoughtful and well written.
Teacher has done an amazing job. I been out of school fir about 8 years. she is very helpful. gives great feedback. all you have to do is apply yourself. she gives a decent amount of homework assignments. For test you have to look into notes and book. gives a good study guide that helps.
Dr. W gave clear directions and helpful feedback. The workload seemed overwhelming at first but it became easier once you get adjusted to it. If you follow her suggested schedule to accomplish assignments and listen to her feedback you will do great. Was overall a great class
Dr. W is definitely not a professor to overlook, this class was perfect for working full time. This was my first college class & she made it so enjoyable, not to mention understandable. Even though this class is online you feel as if youre in the classroom with the involvement and her quick response times. I highly suggest this class & professor.
Dr. Waikvanen was encouraging and made the class interesting and challenging. I enjoyed class discussions and hearing classmates relate the material to real life situations. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and Dr. Waikvanen. Dr. W was very clear about what she expected from her students. She responds quickly and gives useful feedback.
may seem tough as she doesnt accept late work but it really makes you work hard and helps you in the long run. Also at the end if you show excellent work in final & discussions you get your grade bumped up. Makes it very clear on what is required and when everything is due. It was a fast paced class yet I learned easily due to helpful course tips
She was always available by email responded quickly explained things that was unclear to me. She was awesome to have for a teacher for my first online class.
I absolutely loved how the discussion board was set up by my professor. Very unique way to learn more about my classmates and how we all can relate and learn from one another.
I took this class online in 8 weeks. I absolutely loved it. Every week we had 2 study guides, 2 discussion posts, and 2 tests. For participation we had to reply to one person in each discussion forum. Dr. Wakevainen is easily one of the nicest teachers I've ever had.
Make sure you set time for 20hrs +/week for this class. You will have to submit 2 chapter study guides , 2 chapter test, 2 discussion post and responses/week. You have to be on top of your work. If you can not complete a certain amount of questions within the time frame, just bypass her class. There is a lot of reading and writing. Good Luck!
Honestly reading the reviews before I took this class made me fear taking it. She is an amazing teacher and will help you if you are willing to get help and actually do your work. you actually need to read to be able to take the test and understand what you are learning. If you arent willing to take the time and read this class isnt for you. :)
I loved Dr. Edie Wakevainen so much that I am considering taking psychology! The class was easy, if you apply yourself. She is understanding and really worked with me. My favorite thing about her class were the discussions. In the discussions, you really got to understand your professor and classmates better.
She is a great teacher! She honest, caring, patient. I would defiantly take any class she taught.
Such a good teacher! Would take her again for anything. She is so helpful and willing to do anything for you to help you succeed.
Amazing professor! Will be taking her class again. Her tests are easy as long as you study for them, as usual! Over class layout was nice. The project and the homeworks were very beneficial. She's very kind and helpful and loves to see students who love to learn!
Will to work with you if you put in the effort for the work. Very down to earth and knowledgeable.
Great professor! Assignments are important and in order to pass, you will need to understand them clearly. Also, gives good feedback in regards to giving the correct answers. Nice professor (:
Dr. Wakevainen really cares about her students learning the material that she is teaching. She goes over course material that will be on the exams in class, and she is the only professor I have had so far that uses Canvas. She goes out of her way to communicate with students on Canvas, and posts videos helpful to help students get better grades.
I picked get ready to read too. However, if you are taking biological psychology, you should be ready to read. Actually its my second time taking the class to up my grade. She did change the study guides this time and they were very helpful to study with. The layout was perfect, easy to understand and helpful for the material.
I really enjoyed having Dr. W as a professor. I feel this class was more than I expected but really enjoyed it. She is willing to answer any questions you have and explain things so that you understand it. She really wants all of her students to succeed. I would take her again!
Absolutely wonderful teacher. Gives great feedback and will definitely help you if you don't understand the material, however, she will make you work to understand the correct answer. It is a class that requires effort and thought. Not a class you can just fluff off to pass.
I loved Dr. W. All of the work is designed to help you prepare for the weekly tests (do it trust me!!!) and we have more than enough time to get it done. You for sure will need the book for this class! She also provides videos for us to watch every week on the topics that are easy to follow and really helped me understand the material better.
Do the Study Guides and you'll pass with flying colors.
Wonderful teacher. Very helpful when asked by guiding not telling the answers.
Thanks to the proffesor this is one of my favorite classes i ever took here at macomb, if u want to actually enjoy the work you do instead of have tons of irrelevant homework than this is the class to take!!!!
I would suggest this professor to anyone I also had professor Wakevainen for the intro to psych and loved the way she put the assignments together. It is a lot of homework but well worth it. She grades assignments fast and she leaves great encouraging comments on all discussion posts, which I loved and looked forward to reading.
Dr. Wakevainen is an amazing professor. I also took her for Social Psychology. She is very educated in her field and is eager to answer any questions you have. She really pushes students to succeed and try their hardest. 2750 is set up a lot different in the sense there is no note taking, power point lectures but it still was easy to learn.
For the online class you get two discussion posts, two study guides , and two tests. I wanted to rip my hair out every week doing these study guides that were so long and barely helped on the tests.
Do not take this teacher, I spent hours reading material every week and doing the study guides which I didn't mind, my problem was when they barely pertained to the test. Every test is like this and my classes averages were so bad on tests. She doesn't care about her students success.
Mrs. Wakevainen is an awesome person! But she doesn't really deliver the material in an exciting way. I found myself almost falling asleep every class, this also made it difficult for me to retain the information. I really like psychology that's why I took this class! It ended up being more like a biology class which I wasn't too happy about.
I loved taking this online class but you have to be on top of things and be able to learn the material on your own. The Exams are some what difficult but the study guide should be very helpful. There are 2 discussions, 2 study guides and 2 exams due every week and a final exam worth 20% of the grade. DONT BOTHER TAKING IT ON CAMPUS!!!
Dr. Wakevainen is passionate about what she does, and you can tell. However, I took her intro psych course ONLINE. I'm a straight-A student, and this is the first class that I've received a B+ in. The workload is a lot especially if you work full-time as I do. You're expected to do two study-guides, chapter tests, discussions, and read every week.
She was an extremely nice teacher replied to all of the discussions with good feedback and cared a lot.
It's obvious Dr W wants her students to succeed. The syllabus and expectations are all very clear. I took the course online but found communication through email quick and helpful. I've learned a lot of study skills from Dr W that will benefit me in other classes as well. I would love to take another class with Dr W!
I took brain development online. This professor cares about her students and their education. She is understanding in times of crisis. She also responds fast which is great. There was a lot of reading and some parts of the study guides were confusing. However, if you try your best and ask questions then you are sure to do great!
Professor Wakevainen is amazing, great communicator, and passionate with students. In her course, discussions were set up not only to cover what was in the chapter but you had to dig into your own experiences. This truly made me think and reflect and solve some issues I have had in the past with others. She is a wonderful Professor for this class.
Great class & Professor! The classwork was very straight forward and consistent every week. Tests & discussion material always based off of the weeks reading, so good grades are easy to get if you put some work in. Discussion material was also based off of personal experience, which was a nice change compared to other online classes I've taken.
I would not recommend Ms. Wakevainen to anyone. Although I passed the class with flying colors she was a TERRIBLE teacher. Any time I asked for help I was always just referred to my textbook, slow grader and didn't really learn much from the class. For her to be a tough grader she sure doesn't help teach much of what you're expected to pass.
Took Psych2750 Online. Not for the faint of heart. Be prepared to Read. read, READ. She seems like an extremely nice professor, but is extremely tough in grading. If you don't have take to study DO NOT take this class. Exams are semi-hard, and the final is extremely difficult. SPENT 30+ hours just preparing for the final just to receive an B.
This teacher is an okay teacher. She will answer your questions quickly when you email her. Get ready to learn the entire class on your own. There are no study guides and notes must be taken on your own with little idea of what exactly you're going to be tested on. This class suggests that you dedicate 20 hours a week but you need more like 35.
She is horrible. I took her for an online class and halfway through the semester she was suspicious of people cheating so she changed all of her tests. The class average on these tests (two a week) was a 53% (on average). Did not care that students were failing, did nothing to help anyone. Do not recommend for online at least. Horrible.
she uses videos to futher explain concepts from the book. The problem is that she chooses speakers with heavy/thick accents that are difficult to understand. You can fail one test and it drops your grade 3-5% at a time. However passing tests, LL's or video quizzes wint raise your grade more then 1-2%. This is a biology class, not psychology.
I really enjoyed her class. She gives great feedback and interacts with the weekly postings. Very responsive if you ask a quick question. The chapter tests could be a little hard sometimes but if you read the chapter thoroughly then you should be good. I actually retook this class and specifically registered for her class because I liked her a lot.
I took her online intro to Psychology class over the summer. She always had really fast responses through email, even pretty late at night. The class requires a lot of reading, more reading than most other classes I have taken. There is also a good amount of homework. All in all, you read the material and follow the course guidelines, you can pass.
I have taken this course twice previously and did not pass those for a variety of reasons. I greatly enjoyed the format of this course and the way it was presented. She is tough on deadlines and the criteria she wants you to meet but if you follow through and read the instructions you should be fine.
This Professor was great! Always willing to work on concepts for extra understanding and always provided real life examples to correlate with the class. It was a heavy study load,be prepared to take on extra work. However, Mrs. Wakevainen is always willing to assist. Overall, I would recommend this Professor in a heartbeat, but be prepared to work.
Be prepared for a lot of reading and homework, but it's all very intriguing. Dr. Wakevainen is sweet, cares for her students' mental health, and gladly answers questions. Her grading system is fair and lenient, with plenty of ways to maintain your grade. This asynchronous class bonded better than any of my synchronous classes did. Recommend 100%!

Dr. W is truly one of the best professors I've had at MCC. Each assignment given is helpful for understanding course content, and Dr. W doesn't waste your time with busy work. The grading system is lenient and fair. Dr. W is super understanding, and she's willing to make accommodations to guarantee your success in the class. Overall, great prof!
Professor W is wonderful and will help you in any way. She is great at emailing you back as soon as possible. Get ready to read and everything is important. I recommend getting a head start at the beginning of the week. Your grade will appreciate it. Do not turn anything late in and put 110% in everything. Great class!
This professor is outstanding. There are extra credit opportunities every week and increase your grade by a lot! It is worth doing them and they are very quick quizes and you get two attempts for the problem that are counted for extra credit! The class was easy and fun to do. Persuall was ACTUALLY interesting for once, and I never think it is.
Yes there is a lot of work, but she gives homework assignments that will make you learn. There wasnt an activity that I did that I didnt learn something. I had her class 100% online, and it wasnt like a normal read the chapter and write some discussion posts. We watched educational videos every week that helped me learn a lot! She grades fair
Prof Wakevainen provided several resources for each chapter to make it easy to understand. She provided extra credit opportunities so it was easy to maintain an A. If you do all your work you will most likely pass with an A. She also provided personal feedback with each assignment and seemed like she genuinely cared about her students.
Makes use of online resources and platforms, gives you plenty of small points to earn to boost your grade. She drops your 5 lowest scores in each category of assignments(if i remember that right). I really enjoyed this class and I would definitely take it again!
Professor doesn't care about ensuring students are getting their moneys worth during COVID. Doesn't have lectures and relies on software to essentially do her job for her. Homework is excessive in this format to try and make up for the lack of teaching! MCC is promoting laziness and a decline in quality of education by employing this professor.
This by far has been one of the most challenging psych class I've ever taken. Because of covid, I had to take Brain and Behavior online. This course definitely focuses on every bit of notes from the textbook and it will literally save your grade to write it down. Despite the challenge, I have learned a lot in this class and would consider it again
I thought some of the questions on her tests were meant to trick you. When I pointed that out, i felt my grade suffered. I did all my work in her class, including all the extra credit, which i felt she gave plenty of, which was nice. My tests that were graded on opinion were all A papers, imo, but 2 were given much lower scores.
While this was a very difficult class, I feel that she did her best to make sure we could still learn everything. The workload can seem like a lot, and you should really read the chapter and take notes every week and office hours are also helpful. My only complaint is that I wish she would have given us the review for our final exam a lot earlier.
She has everything prepared for you. It is not difficult to find or question assignments/ assignment due dates. If you have any questions she will answer your emails within the day. If you do the required homework for the week, then you shouldnt worry about your grade. She looks for effort, so just do your work to the best of your ability.
While this class was a difficult one for me, Dr. Wakevainen worked with me to help me understand how to improve my weaknesses. All I needed to do is reach out to let her know I was struggling and she gave me several suggestions on how to make improvements. I highly recommend taking this class with her.
Professor Wakevainen wants you to do good! She gives proper feedback and is willing to help you with any material you need. Class involved weekly quizzes and TED talks to watch, which were fascinating! Take this class, you won't regret it.
I feel like it's pretty common for students to get a little nervous when starting a new class but what I absolutely loved about Dr. W was that she made you feel welcomed and acknowledged your hard work. She was very encouraging and honestly, once you get the hang of her course, it'd fly by and before you know it'd, you'll be finished! :)
While I wasn't a fan of this class's structure (it relied heavily on an online textbook and website), Dr. W went above and beyond to make the course material interesting. Assignments and quizzes were regular and clearly stated in the syllabus, on Canvas, and via email. For assignments, you got half credit just for trying. Great class, great prof!
Best Professor, so glad I had her. I was online but wish I had her on campus. She was very detailed and interacted with the students. She made the class easy to follow and understand.
Take her class! Seriously, an outstanding Professor. Dr. Wakevainen is very knowledgeable, caring, and willing to help. I learned so much in this class and it was loads of fun. Discussion boards on tedtalks that connect to each chapter allow for critical thinking and expansion of learning outside of the book's material.
Above and beyond Professor. Read the book, watch lectures, take detailed notes or make quizlets and you'll be more than fine. She knows her stuff and will help you and is available during her office hours. Take her course, you will not regret it! I wish I could take more of her courses, that how great she is.
A few online assignments every week that are due on fridays and saturdays, and a quiz every sunday. We had ted talks assigned every week that we had to relate to the chapter we were on in the book. It is an interesting class, I wish I could have taken it on campus instead of online. I would have gotten a lot more out of it.
This class takes a lot of hard work and careful studying. She has the class organized in a nice way so you can always find what you need. Each week's module has a list of the assignments and due dates. If you stay on top of your work and take good notes, you will be more than ready for the finals.
Super easy if you take her online, didn't even have to study for any of her quizzes and homework and super easy. She's also really nice and gives a lot of positive feedback.
Professor Edie is amazing! Her class is structured in a way that it makes it easy for you to find what you need. Everything is open note but timed, but there is enough time to get you tests and quizzes done if you stay on track. Her class is very reading heavy but don't let that stop you from taking her class. She is a great professor!
Welcome to my Ted Talk, in this class you will be watching a ton of them and have to write about them.
lots of TED talks 1 every week and 2 replies. gives the book online with a lot of reading then activities and a quiz every chapter not a bad class just has about 20 assignments a week if you count the readings activities tests and ted talks all together
I recommend taking the online course. There was a quiz every week along with homework for the assigned chapter. There were 3 unit tests throughout the semester. Also there were no discussions or much ted talks. This class was a breeze. Highly recommend.
She studied physiological psychology and this is Brain&Behavior-she wants you to know the subject. This is not an easy class and you should be ready to read chapters and take comprehensive notes because you can be tested on anything. TED talks are fun, she gives great feedback and links to interesting studies, and is a kind and caring professor.
Her expectations are a bit to high 6 comment on the talks I made 9 & didnt get full credit cuz I did them all in 1 day 3 days b4 the due date also test are on lock down browser & seem to be over stuff that isnt important i take notes made flashcards watch lect & havent got more than 50% on a test take this class by itself n devote all ur time to it
We were mainly guided by the textbook during this course. There's very high expectations that are almost impossible to maintain if you have other responsibilities and classes. We had a Perusall assignment where we had to make 6 comments, be replied to by others, work on 3 separate days, etc. and it's extremely difficult. I wouldn't take her again.
Has way too strict criteria for discussion assignments, and bases our grade off whether people reply to us or not. Makes us write 6 separate comments, work on 3 different days, etc. Feels like our time isn't being all that respected in the name of "having an actual discussion."
Brain and behavior is NOT just a psych class but also a biology class. Dr Edie class requires a lot of reading as it is online. You need to put in a lot of time and effort into this class. Dr Edie is quick with responses and will provide feedback where need be. Though this class is mostly textbook based on discussions and quizzes. Final worth 40%.
Teacher is nice and responsive, but reading is a lot! I did good on quizzes and home work but I sucked on the test. She did give the option to retake twice
You can learn a lot from her! But you'll spend a minimum of 4hrs each week going through the material (NOT including note taking/lectures/studying). The formatting is nightmarish to navigate if you dont do it all in one sitting. Prepare to spend way more time & effort than you expected. Don't take it lightly! It's really a biology class, not psych.
Worst professor I have ever taken. Material is all over/messy, lectures are pointless for studying, book is a lot on top of extra hours of work to take 15-question quiz that is auto-generated and extremely hard to take without. the final is almost 40-50% of the grade. your not gonna pass and if you do its not going to be the grade you were hoping
Lots of reading, TED talk discussions, and lockdown browser quizzes. This class is more like a biology class than a psychology class. Interesting information but lots of work. She is also very particular about the discussion post grading. Definitely not a blowoff class.
More bio then psych. Lectures are just her going over the handouts, no value in watching. Expects you to memorize everything, tests are proctored - no notes allowed. Lots of homework. Weekly videos are impossible to get a good grade on. Demands participation but hardly participates herself except to be condescending and rude. VERY stressful class.
Professor gave lots of homework and reading assignments. Quizzes were out of 10 question you could only get the max of three wrong to get a passing grade. I did good on the quizzes and home work but the midterm and finals I failed. They were 100 questions each. Professor was nice and very responsive.
Unrealistic workload and expectations especially if you are enrolled in other courses. Be prepared to spend 12 hours a week on one chapter. Heavy and vigorous material. Lockdown browser is required which invades privacy and has AI tracking you for data collection. Not a student friendly course.
Taking her online class was amazing. She keeps the weeks consistent and doesn't change the schedule. She makes sure you have time and always makes sure you can get the work done. I would 100% take her class again. One of the most flexible and respected teachers I have had.
Edie's class is heavy on bio, but unstuckstudy helped me ace the tests. Lots of reading and participation required, but worth it for the valuable insights.
Not a very memorable professor. Class is not difficult just pay attention.
This is a very challenging course and she really cared to do her best to teach it. However, Idk if she had agency over the tests which are most of the grade but they were unnecessarily specific and seemed more centered around memorization of random facts in the textbook. She's a good professor, just dont expect the coursework to be easy.
