Makes psychology interesting-integrates funny stories into her lectures-actually kept my attention span-highly recommend her
funny and helpful
Dr. Ross makes Psychology exciting. I actually looked forward to going to her lectures.
LOVED her when she taught it! Very entertaining. Whenever she taught it I got all A's in there. Very funny teacher, absolutely clear on everything she teaches.
A great professer, and fun to listen to
Dr. Ross is a completely amazing woman. She is probably one of the best professors at the university.
She has a great sense of humor and is a good at holding your attention. I made all A's when she taught.
Tons of fun to listen to. Helped me a lot with changing majors. Take her.
She's so awesome and she keeps class interesting!
I love this woman. I wish I came out of her ****. I highly recommend her.

Mrs. Ross was awesome. she is one of my favorite teachers. she was so funny and made class really interesting. she is the one who got me interested in psychology.
Awesome lady! I wish every professor could explain everything as well as she did with the same amount of enthusiasm as her!
I love her! She made me WANT to come to class and it wasn't boring at all. Makes me wish I was a Psych major so I can take more classes with her!
Very good professor, she makes the class material (which was probably the most boring of all of the PSYC 201 material) very interesting!
Great professor. Easy A and not much studying required. Made psychology so much fun.
So funny! Makes class so interesting. You want to go just to listen to her lectures. Read the material, listen in class, easy!
She is a riot! Her discussions are enlightening and enjoyable. Very helpful with questions and knows her information! She is also very down-to-earth. I am a psych major and am looking forward to more classes with her!
She's a very good professor. Easy to understand, connects stories she tells to what she's lecturing on. Very funny. I looked forward to going to class when she was lecturing.
Really entertaining and makes the lectures worth going to.
She is my favorite professor! she is so funny and makes class so interesting. Tests are kind of hard but if you review her notes you will be fine. i didnt think id like psychology but she got me interested!
Boring, bland. Bad lectures. Easy to do.
In a class of 350 people, Doctor McCall is extremely engaging and effective in teaching the material and keeping it interesting. I actually looked forward to coming to her class. While the lecture is a supplement, you HAVE to read the book to do well in the class.
In a class of 350 people, Doctor Ross is extremely engaging and effective in teaching the material and keeping it interesting. I actually looked forward to coming to her class. While the lecture is a supplement, you HAVE to read the book to do well in the class.
Her lectures are very entertaining. Exams are not very hard if you read the textbook and look at the study guide she provides.
Dr. Ross was one of my favorite professors! She is nice, funny, and makes the information interesting.
She is a delightful human being. The tests are easy, the lectures are fun, she's very approachable and you will miss her dearly when her section of the class is up (She only teaches chapters 1, 5, 6, 7 and 9). You won't regret taking this class as long as you read. It really is an easy A and its such a fun course.
She knows her stuff. Funny, engaging, makes things incredibly easy to understand. I would recommend her to anyone taking a psychology course. Just fantastic.
She only teaches chapters 1, 5, 6, 7 and 9. BUT she is the most amazing teacher ever. I loved her and always wanted to come to class. She makes everything relatable to college students, and has a great sense of humor. I loved her section!... But you do need to read, and I suggest getting the study guide with the book and working through it. A+
She's awesome. You'll wish she was your professor, but sadly this class has three professors that teach three separate subjects
Dr. Ross is completely hilarious and straight to the point. I definitely recommend that people take her classes!!
Dr. Ross is a great teacher who loves what she is teaching. Her enthusiasm is contagious and makes class enjoyable. Go to class to get the iClicker points and study what she tells you to do study and you'll do great!
Dr. Ross is an absolutely amazing professor. She's funny and loves what she does. If you read the text and study psych portal, you'll get a good grade.
Class is absolutely amazing. I found the info really interesting, however the class was a lot. You learn a lot about how to be a good student. I definitely recommend to anyone especially first year students. Just be sure to print the lecture notes and read the text. Do the PsycPortal Activities as well and you will be fine!
Ross is hilarious and definitely makes the class a lot more fun that it would be with another teacher. Almost all of her clicker questions are on her tests, which are pretty straightforward, but you really need to study and read the required pages.
Good teacher. Her tests are hard, you must really really know the information to get an A. Overall, not too hard of a teacher. You can tell she really loves what she teaches. She definitely keeps you interested. Really explains the Information. Make sure you read the assigned readings or else you will be completely lost!
Professor Ross was awesome and super engaging. I was worried about Psychology before the semester, but she made it easy to understand. Take this class!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I really recommend you to take her class. Her lectures are always interesting and funny. She doesnt text you in anything she hasnt cover in the lectures. She makes the lectures funny and interesting.
There are a lot of tests but your lowest score is dropped. There are also research credits and clicker points that help your grade. Just show up to class, pay attention, and read the assignments and you will be fine. She is a great & interesting teacher.
Take. This. Course. Dr. Ross is a WONDERFUL professor. She is hilarious, very clear on what she wants you to study, and has fun discussions. I guarantee if you come to class (which you will really want to), study the assigned chapters, PowerPoints, and take lecture notes you will leave this class with an A or A+. I promise.
I took Psych 201 my freshman year fall semester. She was the first professor I had in a 3-part taught lecture. Lectures are easy to understand, it would be to your benefit to read the chapters though prior to the class. Funny and very sweet. Make sure you go to her class or give your iclicker to someone else you trust because those points matter!
She is a good teacher, however she gets off topic a lot in lectures. Make sure to study really hard and basically analyze the chapters or you will not pass the class. STUDY STUDY STUDY.
Professor Ross is a great lecturer and will make you want to come to class. All you have to do is come to class, do the research experiments, do the launchpad homework, and study for the exams. That may sound like a lot of work, but I promise it's not at all. Easy A. (2nd favorite from the tri-taught class).
She makes the class fun to be in and she is hilarious.
Dr. Ross is a hilarious professor and her lectures were never boring. The tests were impossible. I read each chapter over and over again and could still never get an A. You must show up to class because there are clicker points. Good luck
Dr. Ross was a great professor. She was hilarious. Still need to read for her tests
Had her for the tri-taught class and I loved her. She made lectures very interesting, and I always wanted to go to class. Very hilarious and very sweet. Make sure you go to class to get clicker points, read through the chapters, do launchpad activities, and do the research credits.
she was the first to teach out of three for the class, and was my favorite out of them. She teaches in a way that you will remember the content.
I had Ross for the tri-taught class my freshman year. She is really funny & explains things really well. Clicker points are super important in that class, so make sure you show up. The tests aren't too bad, but make sure you spend a few hours studying. She gave the whole class full clicker points for a few class periods when the tech messed up too.
She makes lectures really interesting by trying to keep the students involved and shes hilarious. She gives clicker points so you should go to class, but you can afford to miss a few. There is a test every two weeks and theres usually a question you can only answer if you read, but you can get an a with good notes. Offers extra credit as well.
Definitely one of my favorites so far, she makes you want to come to class.
Amazing teacher! I had her in the team taught course and she was great. She goes over the information and makes sure the students understand. Always lets you know what you can expect on a test. She's hilarious and makes you want to go to class! The course consists of 5 test grades, online homework, research participation, and some extra credit.
Best professor I've had at UofL. She goes out of her way to be helpful, caring, funny, and engaging.
Dr. Ross is a big fan of clicker questions, so show up to class. She's really entertaining though and interacts with the class a lot despite there being over 300 of us in the room. Her exams aren't that hard as long as you show up to the lectures and study. However, you won't get a 100 on the exams unless you read the assigned chapters.
Dr. Ross was my favorite professor in this team-taught course. Her lectures were always entertaining. Her exams weren't very difficult either. She did have clicker questions in class, so make sure to show up. She was very sweet and passionate about psychology. Would recommend
She was funny and tests weren't too difficult. Does require clicker questions do attendance is a must
Dr Ross was my favorite professor in this team taught course. She's funny and makes all the lectures interesting. She uses clicker questions a lot so attendance is mandatory. If you show up to class and actually read the chapter the class should be an easy A. The only assignments are on launchpad and are easy as well.
Wonderful Prof. They're all great, but her humor made her my favorite. She does clicker points religiously so go, or get good grades where the 10% wont hurt you. I made a C with little effort put toward the class. Extra credit is offered at the end of the course (12 points added to test percentage section). Free T-shirts for 100% exams!
Professor Ross was by far the best of the three teachers that we had throughout the course. Her lectures were very interesting and she used good examples to help us understand. Throws in test questions directly from the lectures so you need to come to class, clicker questions are very often. Study for tests and go to SI sessions and then get an A
She makes the lectures very interesting and is a great teacher!
One teacher that will hype up your mood. Tests are semi hard because there is a lot of applied questions and tricky wording. Flashcards helped and study tools the SI posts online. No big final, but you do take a test every two weeks.
Dr. Ross was very caring and the lectures were interesting. She really explained the material in depth.
Very unorganized. The group project is worth majority of your grade. Tests can be difficult.
If you have the chance TAKE DR. ROSS! Shes an amazing lecturer that keeps things interesting. I loved her and will be taking PSYC 363 with her as well. Shes very fair and passionate about her field of study. One on my favorite professors.
Edna Ross is one of my favorite professors. She explains material very well and is hilarious! She actually cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed.
Dr. Ross is an amazing professor. She provides numerous examples during lectures which make it easy to relate back to the concepts she's trying to teach. The tests are very fair, and there are no surprises. She is amazing at explaining the material, and is very good at engaging the class. She makes it easy to pay attention, and most people do well.
Dr. Ross is a great professor. She explains the topics in depth in a fun way, she gives examples so you can relate to your life. She wants you to pass the class. I really enjoyed taking Dr. Ross for Psyc 201 and 363.
She definitely makes lecture enjoyable and worthwhile. I definitely didn't study much for exams and still did fine on them. Do the online assignments because they definitely help cushion your grade. She also offered several extra credit opportunities that were helpful to my grade. She's hilarious--I definitely recommend her!
She's a great professor. She makes lectures fun and interesting. Also, her power points are easy to follow. Make sure you go to class because she takes clicker points as a grade. Work hard and you'll get an A.
Great prof and great class. Probably one of my favorites. My class had three profs and each gave two exams, with one optional at the end. Tests were easy. Lots of homework in all portions, and mandatory studying helped a lot. She is very funny but talks a lot more than necessary on topics, which can be helpful but also very boring.
Dr. Ross was truly an amazing and inspirational professor! She made the transition into college super easy and welcoming. It may seem a bit intimidating at first but as long as you read the chapter and takes notes before the lecture, you'll be fine!
Dr. Ross is a true gem. I absolutely loved her as a person and as a professor. She always made learning interesting and easy to understand. Hands down one of my favorite teachers I've EVER had. Wish she taught my class all semester. She made the switch to college super easy and welcoming. 100% recommend Dr. Ross.
I love Dr. Ross. Her lectures are super engaging and fun. Best professor I've had so far!
Great teacher. I enjoyed attending all lectures and it was easy to pay attention when she was teaching. Pay attention in lectures, and it will be easy to pass. All information is usually on the slideshow.
Dr. Ross is amazing! She is very thorough and kept students interested! She's very funny and a nice person overall. You can do well on exams by reading the chapters and studying the different definitions and concepts well! There are a lot of questions that are straight definitions from the text and lectures!
Dr. Ross was simply amazing. She always lectured the material so well during class, and always reminded students of upcoming deadlines. She clearly cares for her students and wants them to pass. I would highly recommend Dr. Ross.
Dr. Ross is excellent. You can tell she cares about her students outside of the classroom. Her teaching style is a little eccentric, and she'll often deviate from the text in lectures. However, all tests are based on both text readings and lecture material, so don't skip. Overall a good class and a great professor.
She is a great professor! This was the one class I didn't ever want to skip. She kept things interesting. The class and concepts were not hard but it did require effort when it came to studying and doing homework. Dr. Ross is definitely passionate about what she does and makes for a great learning experience!
Dr. Ross is a wonderful person. We have talked many times outside of class and she acts more as a friend than a run-of-the-mill professor. She really does care about how well you are doing with the course and tries hard to make it engaging and understandable. I would love to take this course again! Textbook is needed and do the quizzes in it!!!
AMAZING teacher, super animated and humorous!! iClicker questions go a long way, don't skip unless you HAVE to. If you do, give someone else your clicker. The experiments you sign up for are easy, some were interesting. Exams are moderately hard. 6 exams, she drops the lowest one end semester. Don't forget Launchpad modules (great study tool)!!
The best teacher I have taken at UofL. Made me consider switching my major because she makes the material so understandable
6 exams total, lowest score is dropped. Accessible outside of class. Lectures are super entertaining and notes are posted before class so you know what the content will be before hand.
One of the easiest classes I haven taken at UofL so far. 6 exams, and your lowest is dropped. A big amount of extra credit is offered. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you want free clicker points then you should go. Some online homework but it isn't that hard. Overall an easy A as long as you put in some type of effort.
I loved Dr. Ross! She is caring even though the class size is large. Her lectures are interesting and not just straight from a book. I didn't have to touch my textbook and I got an A. I do recommend not missing a lecture bc half of her tests come from lecture that she does not post. But it's worth it. She spends time with you outside of class.
What can I say about Dr Ross that hasn't been said before? She's an amazing professor and she's downright hilarious. The course I took easily had over 200 students, but Dr Ross still managed to make her lectures engaging for every student. She makes the lectures fun and easy to follow along. A real gem.
*continued* I literally needed a boost of 0.72% to have an A. I desperately need that A for med school, so I emailed her. She wouldn't give me the tiniest boost. Also, in her emails, she is formal, but not very polite. The only good thing is that her lectures are really engaging.
She is so awesome, I really enjoyed having her and so did my friends that were in the class with me. She doesnt get boring and you can tell shes really passionate about what she teaches
Dr. Ross is easily one of my favorite people in the psychology department. She's funny, caring, and honestly makes learning interesting. As long as you go to class and are mildly coherent and review before the exam, this class will be a cakewalk.
I enjoyed Ednas lectures. She was really enthusiastic and you can tell she is very passionate about psychology. I would recommend her to everyone. The tests were based off of the PowerPoint slides, vocabulary, and textbook readings. Theres online homework but its based out of the textbook and it wasnt that challenging for me.
dr. ross is an AMAZING professor. she keeps you engaged through the entire hour, she makes class feel comfortable even with 200 people in there. the course material is easy to grasp and not at all a challenge if you show up and do what you're supposed to. overall this course is a piece of cake and she is the cherry on top.
Dr. Ross is an awesome professor that is highly respected at UofL. Her lectures are very entertaining and she communicates very well about her grading procedures. Overall, the class wasn't too difficult but you definitely need to show up to lectures, read the book, and take notes for exams and graded clicker questions. Exams are multiple choice.
She is very joyous and makes the content more fun, thought its already interesting content. She also highlights social issues and makes you think.
Tests every two weeks, but they're not bad. You must go to class though because there are questions during the lecture that are worth some points. Its good for your grade if you do well, but very bad if you don't. She's a pretty solid prof. The only thing that really bothered me was her yelling into the mic lol. other than that I liked the class.
I had this as a hybrid class and iClicker is a big portion of your grade, and if yours didn't work she said she has no time to help you and you just don't get a grade for that day. Her lectures turn into rambles and she gets far behind so has to rush through slides making it hard to understand. Since it was hybrid attendance wasn't mandatory
I did well in this class and I didn't think it took a whole lot of effort, but I do know people who didn't do well on tests. There were 3 professors for this course so it was nice to have a fresh start every couple of weeks. There are clicker points so you have to be present in class.
Dr. Ross makes lectures very engaging and helps make this class fun. She truly wants every student to succeed and will help you along the way. Iclicker is done during every lecture so it is important to go to class. Tests are often easy as long as you pay attention in class and do the homework. A good amount of extra credit is also given!
Dr. Ross was a great professor. I feel like she did go a little easy on us since we are in a pandemic, but I would totally recommend her! Just make sure you are going to class, paying attention to lectures, and reading the book and you will be fine.
I loved psychology with Edna! Shes super fun and makes the class interesting. Her exams arent too tough but you definitely need to study a little bit (or just pay attention in class) she has a lot of knowledge on the course. There are a lot of assignments that dont take very long and they can help your grace if you arent good at exams.
good professor. the class was simple, half exams were in person, half were online. i never physically went to class but she does ask questions on iclicker for a grade during lectures
I took the course with 3 professors in Fall 2020. It really threw me off having the three, but I definitely enjoyed Dr. Ross the most. I hated enduring a new teaching style every few weeks w a new professor, but that's not Dr. Ross' fault. It made me struggle on exams... a lot. But, I'll be taking Dr. Ross next semester!
Dr. Ross is the BEST!! This is my second time having her and she is one of my favorite people in the whole school! Youll love her!! and dont be scared to talk to her after class, she loves to talk to her students.
Very lively and kind professor. If you put in the work and go to class there is no reason you should fail. The tests are manageable as the quizzes beforehand prepare you. Her lectures are always thorough and entertaining and the concepts are always explained in a clear and understandable way. Would highly recommend Dr. Ross to anyone.
Dr Ross is a good teacher. She gives good examples of what she is teaching which makes the lecture easier to retain and makes more sense. She does do clickers questions every class day which counts for 15% of your grade, so i would suggest showing up as much as you can. Grading is clear and there are some extra credit opportunities.
There isn't a textbook but you do have to purchase Launchpad and i-Clicker for this course. It is very lecture heavy and there is an exam every 2 weeks but no final exam. You cannot miss classes due to i-Clicker and you can only make up one exam. I will take her again but she is not my favorite Professor. There is a lot of launchpads...
Everything that comes out of her mouth will immediately be absorbed into your brain. She explains things so well and is obviously passionate about psych. Shes also hilarious. 306 requires a lot of reading but i passed all the exams just from the readings without studying (still study before tho). Lowest of 4 exams gets dropped. Offers extra credit.
Dr. Ross is enthusiastic and helpful when giving her lectures. She even points out some things that will definitely be on the test so pay attention. Theres also some room to mess up since the lowest test score is dropped. Just keep up with the launchpad homework (use it to study too), SONA credits and iClicker. Then youll be good to go. :)
i dont even know what class i am in because she talks about so many random things i think im at taco bell
Dr. Ross is one of those educators that you will always remember for drawing you into the lecture material. She made class interesting and I felt that I could recall more information because of the way she described concepts. She also reminds you what will be on exams so pay attention.
Dr. Ross is a wonderful lecturer, and offers interesting perspectives on the topics she discusses. The tests are not too difficult as long as you pay attention during lectures or do the textbook assignments.
lots of reading and writing every single week, but its fun and interesting stuff. the essay was difficult and not as fun in my opinion. quizzes were straightforward and easy. overall it was a lot of work, but easy work! i got an A
I absolutely adore her! Her lectures are so engaging and she's a hilarious person. She makes the concepts easy to remember because she makes the teaching unforgettable. Some things she says in her lectures may be on her tests and it won't be on the book. So take note and pay attention!
She's an amazing professor and she makes everything easy to understand. She shared so many interesting stories that are still stuck with me. The content is a little hard, but she makes it easy to learn and she simplifies things. Make sure to read the textbook because there will be questions on the exams that weren't discussed in lectures.
Dr. Ross was honestly an amazing professor. As an incoming freshman, it was really scary for me to be in a lecture with a lot of students but Dr. Ross made it very enjoyable. She is very enthusiastic, kind, and overall great at conveying important concepts. Attendance is mandatory and tracked through iClicker. Show up, pay attention and STUDY!
Dr. Ross is definitely the best professor out of the 3 that teach PSYC201! She is funny and makes lectures enjoyable. You have to show up for iClicker points and complete the homework readings and assignments and you'll be fine. Do the work and show up to lectures, what's in lecture is mostly what's on exams.
Dr. Ross is an amazing professor! Shes hilarious and makes the content worthwhile and rewarding as a student outside of the major. However, One thing I didnt like is when she included politics into her lectures. Aside from that. Take good notes, complete assignments early. EASY A if you ask me.
Dr. Ross is the best professor you'll take at UofL. She is very kind and cares deeply about your education. Her lectures are very interesting and engaging. Tests are easy as long as your prepare yourself, though she likes to throw in some trick questions. Attendance is based in iClicker points. Take her class if you can!!
An absolute sweetheart! Definitely recommend!
Dr. Ross is an incredible professor. Her lectures keep you engaged and she gives great examples. She is very clear with how to succeed in the class. She is also a kind down to earth person. I recommend taking her if you can!
Though she is very popular and funny, her lectures were not very engaging to me. She rambled and made it hard to focus in her classes, and I felt that pretty much everything I learned was from the textbook, not her lectures. Lots of work, but it's not difficult as long as you put in the time.
Dr. Ross was very kind and her lectures were very informative. She is very knowledgable and it makes the lectures even more entertaining just because she is passionate. The tests aren't that hard if you study and pay attention in class.
she was perfect she really cares about her job and finds a way to make everything fun while still teaching the material
Dr. Ross is by far the best professor I have had so far. In PSYC 306 we had a total of 4 exams, but Dr. Ross dropped your lowest exam score. Attendance does matter as she uses iclicker and counts points for correctness, but it's not necessarily required. Her classwork is easy. She is very kind and caring of her students. I highly recommend her.
Very informative and entertaining lectures. You can tell she cares deeply about the subject and is well-informed.
Dr. Ross is phenomenal. She knows her stuff and is not afraid to show it. She has the class structures very well and is setting her students up for true success in college. This class takes a lot of work, but by far is the most informational class that I have taken in a long time. Lots of ties to everyday life as well.
To say that Dr. Ross is an amazing professor would be an understatement. Her lectures are absolutely amazing & she's one of the funniest professors I've ever had. She gives study guides for exams, clicker questions & offers extra credit. She also starts class discussions which are super interesting and help reinforce the material. 100% reccomend!
Take her! Her lectures are amazing, and she loves her job, she teaches and what she's says is actually on the exams so all you really have to do is pay attention to her lectures. Attend class to get clicker points.
Awesome professor. Cares about the students and will talk about real life issues that impact students and their futures. Exams may be hard but if you put in the work and come to class you will do fine. I would highly recommend to take any of her courses.
Dr. Ross is an amazing lecturer and makes lectures interesting, followable, and engaging. There is a lot of in-class material that is necessary for exams as well as iclicker being an important aspect of your grade/attendance, so you will need to show up to class. There are also extra credit surveys that go towards exam grades.
Great class. Lots of notes, you do have to read the book for better test scores. Lectures were fun, explained things in interesting ways. She will use real world examples to make things more relatable. Research studies are easy to complete as well.
Great lectures, look at the lecture slides before class. You need to use the iClicker app for attendance and part of your grade. Do the homework and skim through the book before tests, you'll be fine.
Challenging but manageable. Highly recommend this class!
AMAZINGGG. Lectures are so entertaining and her tests are fairly easy. If you come to class every day and pay attention, you are almost guaranteed an A.
Ross does not need to teach online classes; she does not teach this class just posts the assignments to Blackboard with minimal instruction. She is a hard grader on discussion boards. The class is not that hard she just does not make it enjoyable.
Dr. Ross was an awesome professor, made it fun and easy to follow along in class. Attendance is mandatory since she uses iclicker and tests are based on book and lecture material. 100% would take her again.
This is my girl!! She was so funny in class and let you know exactly what you needed to know for the exams. Make sure to go to class because she gives out points in class that will count toward your grade. Kind of heavy on the reading but this class is very manageable and she makes It easy to enjoy.
Loved Edna Ross. She made the class enjoyable and memorable by the way she teaches. Definitely take her class if you are able to.
She was my favorite professor. I took her class in my first semester. She cares about her students and loves what she does. She makes class fun and entertaining. Although attendance is mandatory, you will want to go to class with her as your professor. The class is easy, and grading is easy to understand. Would recommend her to anyone.
6 total exams lowest score dropped. One of my favorite professors and classes
Dr. Ross is not only knowledgeable, she explains things great and makes class interesting
Edna Ross is by far the best professor I've had at UofL. She is incredibly knowledgeable and makes every lecture entertaining and engaging. You are graded on 4 exams, 13 chapter quizzes, 6 annotated articles, and iClickers for every class. The lowest grades are dropped in every category and 10 points extra credit are available. Highly recommend!
She gives out lots of extra credit in her class. Im not a psych major so that's first off. If you study for the tests you will get a better grade than I did. But it was just too much studying for me with all the other classes I took. Tests are 55% of your grade and their are 6 of them. The HW ass. are easy Just show up for class for grade.
Dr. Ross is a very good professor. Her lectures are very content heavy but doing the textbook assignments help you understand the information. She uses Iclicker which is a very important part of your grade so make sure you show up to class as much as possible to get all the points. Overall a very good professor
dr ross does not do online courses well. does not explain assignments well, grades too difficult and doesn't teach the class she just gives out assignments
I LOVED THIS GIRL. Her lectures were so entertaining and she made class so enjoyable. She does extra credit opportunities. Be sure to read the textbook and go to class because iclickers add up! Overall great class and great teacher!
Her lectures were interesting, but not helpful. In those 75 mins, you could instead go for a walk & listen to a chapter of the book you MUST read anyways (audio feature ily). That's 99% of what I did to study. She also reuses chapter quiz questions. Does also have a very large political lean within the class which can be a little much sometimes.
Good but hard
She's an amazing professor. Her lectures stick and she's one of the few that actually teach instead of reading directly from a text book. Definitely a course that requires a bit of studying for but other than that its not too demanding. Drops lowest exam grade and no final!
Edna's lectures are so engaging - she really brings the material to life. While the class has a decent workload, using resources like Unstuck study along with the textbook made it very manageable. Definitely recommend for an enjoyable, informative psychology course!
She is a very good teacher and she is funny. Also be aware of taking exams every two weeks but if u study u will definitely pass.
Everything is laid out for you to do and nothing changes from the syllabus. Drops lowest test grade, 4 attendance points, and 1 homework assignment.
Dr. Ross makes learning Psych incredibly fun. She presents concepts in a way that's understandable, and sometimes absurd ways that it catches your attention. She also hands out helpful lecture slides at the beginning of the unit which contains over a quarter of the info you need for the tests. The class is very test heavy, so those really help.

This class is lecture-heavy, with attendance tracked with iClicker. You can miss up to 4 classes without penalty, but missing any will put you behind. There are 6 exams, accounting for 55% of your grade, with the lowest exam score dropped. Exams are paper-based with Scantron. Study lectures, PAL sessions, homework, and the textbook to do well.
Professor Ross is one of the greatest professors I've had at UofL. While her classes are hard, it's easy to tell she's passionate and cares about what she's talking about. From Day 1 she sets the expectation that her course is very fast-paced. Very enjoyable and I loved her lectures
I LOVEEE Dr. Ross. There is a reason everyone loves her. But I will say for 306 you have to be prepared to read each chapter in order to do well. She goes over a lot of content in the slides, but the readings are necessary to pass with above a C. Which sucks because each chapter reading takes about 3 hours for me because its so content heavy.
She's a very captivating lecturer and she does a great job of making students prepared for tests. The tests are very easy if you just pay attention in class to the iclickers and practice the homework questions on Macmillan. I would and will take her again.
Took AP Psych but didn't get credit for a 3 . Dr. Ross is solid make sure to do all the clickers and SONA credits early. Exams can be kind of tough, but her study guide helps a lot. I didn't take notes, just reviewed slides before exams and went to REACH. If you moderately pay attention, you'll be fine. Ended with an A.
Dr. Ross gives amazing lectures; it's obvious she is very passionate about what she teaches. She is kind and funny as well. I will say there are a lot of exams and lots of studying. Six exams throughout the semester was a lot, so if that's not your thing, this class may not be for you. They are also tough when grading the journal analysis.
By far one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so good at explaining topics. It is very lecture heavy, but the ways she teaches is very understandable and concise. She knows her topics really well, she's very respectful and respected, and she is very nice.
Lectures in this course were my entertainment for the week, very easy to understand and follow along with. Could not recommend more.
I loved having this professor and honestly learned so much from her content / work format. We mainly just read and wrote our thoughts (annotations), which was super easy because the reading was interesting. Easy summer class, learned a lot. 10/10
So amazing
so sweet, talks a lot, but so amazing of a professor!
Loved her, no complaints.
