He's a funny down to earth guy. Loves what he does completely. He is very understanding and ver easy to listen to during lectures. He kept me motivated and interested -extremely helpful, and the course itself lecture wise isn't hard...the labs are tedious.

great easy going professor!! really gets the point across. alot of work, but if you do it all it is guaranteed you will pass. show up to all the classes (their fun & interesting), do all the work, take notes, and study for the test (it's easy - straight from the notes) you will pass. take his class!

Hypocritical - he tells you never to give your opinion during a class discussion but he gives his opinion about everything!

Super nice professor! His lectures are actually interesting and he makes 2 hours and 45 minutes seem like nothing. He kinda scares students on the first day of class by telling them that the labs are hard and that many people fail the class because of them. HOWEVER, they're really not bad at all. Just do lessons as he says to and you'll be fine.

bovo is AWESOME! he makes the labs seem like they are SUPER hard but they are actually super easy... everyone should take him. his class is super interesting too and he always makes you laugh...

Very nice professor. He makes the class go by fast. Has a lot of discussions with the students. Assigns about 4 activities during the semester that are not hard, but tedious. Easy A if you go to class.

Mr. Bovo is a great teacher has alot of knowledge on the subject make class fun and I a great educator, easy A if you do what you asked to do.

A very realistic teacher. Listens to others opinions and offers his own only when asked. Read the syllabus. It tells you how he wants things handed in. Consistent grader. (More work does not mean better information.) Discussions are intersting and he has many stories from the foxhole to share. Highly recommended.

Best teacher yet! His lectures are actually interesting. His tests are pretty easy if your listen in class & he reviews. You will take a lot from this class. Definately take him for any eduactino class!

This is the best professor I have had in my 2 years at FIU. Pay attention to his lectures and write down notes and you will not have a problem with him. He is funny as all hell and his lectures are extremely interesting. The teaches are not conducted by him and are time consuming but if you prepare correctly there will be no problem. A++++ teacher.

Bovo is an amazing teacher. Very helpful. Attendence is not necessarily mandatory, but go to class. He is funny and makes the class interesting.

it was an interesting and fun class. he's a good teacher and makes the class enjoyable. the labs are great for getting past stage fright and learning how to teach using the structure of lesson plans and creativity.

Luckily I had the opportunity to take two courses with him. He is simply the best. Fun, smart, and makes the material interesting. He was always willing to share his personal experiences as a teacher, professor, and AP. HIGHLY recommended.

He is awesome. I took his class friday nights and I still wanted to go! You learn things that you will use as a teacher. The onoly bad thing are the teaching labs wich are being eliminated as of the summer, so you have nothing to worry about.

AMAZING the best teacher at FIU I was always interested and I never fell asleep. He gives two simple assignments and mid and Final. Tests are easy too. I would recommend to take him

Great Professor. Very informative and helpful. Crystal clear and doesn't have a problem going over things a million times. Has a great personality and lots of motivation! It isn't a super easy class but then again, the class is not easy at all. He prepares you to the max for the lab teaches. Got an A and enjoyed the class every minute.

Professor was amazing! He is clear and to the point. Midterm/Final straight from lectures (extremely easy). Must take, you will have an enjoyable time.

good class, nice prof, didnt really put much effort into the class and i got an A-. i was too worried about other classes but i was able to pass his. just pay attention in class and actually go to class and u will get an A. plus the teaches r fun :)

Its not a easy class, but the professor is reasonable make sure you go to class beacause he notices everything. very smart teacher and kind of cute.There are 3 pop quizes 1 Midterm and 1 Final and 3 Mini teaches... Again its not hard its reasonable work. :) Good luck

This class is fairly easy, as long as you show up and take notes you will be fine. If you work or have a full load of courses Bovo is the guy to take, he makes the course very straight forward 3 lesson plans with 3 micro teaches one group assignment, 3 quizzes,a midterm and final. He's very helpful might come across as a jerk,but trust me he is not

Over all this was a very easy and understanding instructor 3 quizzes that come from the lectures, an individual case study, a group presentation, a midterm and a final. The class secondary management but we always end up taking about elementary school, but other than that take him.

Great professor!! He is funny, outgoing, and just makes you see teaching in a positive way:) You will have to do 3 teachings a 3 min, 7min, and a 15min. There are many little projects here and there!! The class is time consuming, but by the time you get out you'll know exactly how to design the perfect teach with the perfect Lesson plan guaranteed!! Professor Bovo is wonderful. He is very intimidating but that is just the exterior. He is a very down-to earth guy. I had 3 teaches for his class (3 minute, 7 minute, and 15 minutes). Some people in class said he is a very tough grader...I don't know why they would say that. I blank out, and stutter during presentations and he gave me A's.Take him!

My favorite class of the semester. I never missed a class, he gives easy unannounced pop quizzes. I didn't have the book, but i paid attention to his class and took notes. And I got an A. Pay attention to the rubrics for each assignment. You definitively won't get bored in his class.

This man is the BEST education professor at FIU. His experience and knowledge shows in every class. Course is 3 teaches (3 min., 7 min., & 15 min.), midterm and Final as well as two very easy papers (code of ethics and reflection). Highly recommend his class if you intend to be a teacher!

He tells really long stories about his teaching experiences. However, between his anecdotes he conveys his lesson. This semester was only 2 microteaches (supposed to be 3). Very specific make sure you read rubric and take notes on the different parts of the lesson plan. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

Lectures are informative with light humor. He explains everything many many times. Yes, I have worked very hard, but that should be the expectation. This is college! If you are used to turning in mediocre work, don't bother. And that is what I like about him. He sets the bar as to what we should aspire to be, great future educators with substance.

I took Professor Bovo for Secondary Classroom Management. As others have said, he seems a bit intimidating at first, but once you understand his humor you realize he's a cool guy. If you must take this course, i recommend him. The work load was not overwhelming at all, and his explanations of the assignments were very clear.

This man got me motivated to be a teacher. Tells a ton of interesting stories about his career as an educator and really gives you a perspective on the field. Class is far from difficult. There's 3 teaches which make up the bulk of the grade which are mildy stressful, but he lays everything out for you and is willing to help if you ask. He's great!

Actually enjoyed coming to class every day, and this was a nearly 3 hour night class. He keeps you interest the whole class with stories about his time as a teacher and engaging, sometimes funny discussions. Also the easiest class Ive taken in Education- He tells you exactly what u need to ace every assignment! Few very easy quizzes too. Take him!

HA. Prof. Bovo, what can I say about him... This is THE class i've learned the most in, it's a 3hr class and he keeps you till the very end, but you're so interested in his prior experiences as a teacher and his lectures on assignments, that theres no time to look at the clock. The class is work, yes. 3 teaches but he's there to assist. TAKE HIM.

3 teaches, few assignments on taskstream, and a final. the teaches were the hardest because they're timed, he asks for specific things, and grading is strict. I felt like he could've prepared us a little more for them. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS. He's very helpful, talks to you as a friend rather than a professor, but expects a lot from you.

He was my 2nd favorite professor at FIU, my 1st is cayce wicks. He is good at explaining stuff and making things easy to understand. He's not boring at all. He's also nice. He is funny and is a good teacher. Do take him! He's great.

Professor Bovo was probably my most favorite professor I've ever taken. He only gives a few assignments, 3 teaches that require you to put in work, a couple Taskstream artifacts and a final that if you study you'll pass with flying colors. He makes you stay the whole time but its worth it, he's super entertaining and funny and helps you any chance.

Very engaging professor. Expected because, after all, he's teaching you how to teach. Nothing short of inspirational. His lectures are more like conversations. He encourages classroom participation, very personable, and goes out of his way to help. 3 teaches that sound much more intimidating than they actually are. 2 tests and a bit of homework.

The teaches for the class were the biggest grades and they were really easy. He grades fairly just make sure you follow instructions.

Overall a good professor, not the very best but not the worst either. If you show up, you will pass. Super hard to reach outside of class never replies to emails, but if you show up early or stay later, he will answer any question you have. So the reviews here are misleading for the most part and seem like a personal attack. Overall, not a bad guy.
