I have to agree w/ the previous comment, he is all over the board. But if you read the assignments the lecture makes sense in the end. Sometimes it takes him too long to get to the point. He lets you know in advance what will be on the exam (all essay) He's a fair grader and he has a great personality.

Very good GUY!!! Knows a lot and his lectures, papers and things what he will teach you, will be very usefull in the future, while raising your kids and understanding people!!! One of the best professors ever!!!!!!!

He is very helpful, but he gives alot of reading information which you have to understand not just memorize inorder to pass his exams; they are all essay questions that requires explaining. I consider his class to be difficult.

For an intro class I think it was hard but I find that he gives students a chance to do better. He is always ready to give extra credit to help a student out. He is a fair grader

Prof. Vianna is a really cool instructor. He is really into the material and wants his students to understand and grasp what he is teaching. Very ready to answer questions and hear opinions. Good sense of humor makes his class enjoyable.

Although he gives alot of reading and writing assignments, he is an excellent professor. People complain how he gives too many essays but it does say that its and INTENSIVE WRITING course. He gives 3 written exams and a couple of quizes. I learned alot from him and I used to have psychology. VERYY POSSIBLe to get an A in his class. gives xcredit.

I took his both SSY 101 AND 240 with straight A's.His class is interesting,fun and materials are really challenging.If you are looking for great professor then he is the one.I bet you you won't regret taking his class.

I thought he was a great professor. It is very reading and writing intensive. When students were confused he went over the material. He was nice and friendly, and seemed to always be in a good mood. My only complaint is sometimes when a student asked a specific question he didn't seem to understand and it wasn't clearly answered. He is great!

If you truly want to learn then his class is for you;he is not your traditional professor. LGCC is lucky to have a professor like him. I got an A. Just pay attention in his class and read. Remember this is a psychology class and requires lots of reading.

He is a good professor, he explain everything clear. I took SSY 101 at the short semester and got A. I will take his class SSY240, because I like way how he teaches. I recommend his class for everybody.

Great professor. He sometimes loses time looking for examples of what he's teaching. As long as you pay attention and do your reading, you'll be fine. He wants to see you succeed and gives you opportunities to revise your work if you're not satisfied with a grade. You really will love psychology once you finish this class.

He has an affinity for technical text, so regular handouts discussing interesting case studies make it seem like you're reading a foreign language. Do all the work & reading that he assigns, participate in class, & you'll get a good grade.

Very knowledgeable, caring, and charismatic. Gives a lot to read but and the material is challenging but it's well worth it. He will take you to a whole new level and in the end you realize you are more capable than you thought. He really walks you through the material, just read it and participate in class.

Great teacher, his exams are only four questions.His class is a bit boring since he only reads information of powerpoint but the homework is light. He is a easy grader as long as your answer makes sense...I got an A ! Love this professor !

While quite bright and highly enthusiastic, Professor Vianna does tend to cover too wide a range of topics at once, thus confusing his students. He frequently jumps from point to point w/o finishing a thought. he also tends to skim through student work instead of giving it a thorough read.

Prof Eduardo is one of the best professors at LaGuardia. Just pay attention be prepared for the exams and you will get an A. He is the best.

At first,I thought he was way to hard on us. As the semester went on I realized Prof. Vianna not only wants us to learn and succeed but is one of the best Prof. at this college. His lectures may be confusing but if you take the time to read the material it all makes sense. You can't expect an A without putting in effort. One of the best Prof. here!

great prof. at first I really thought I was going o fail his class. because hes so into what he teaches and the information for assignments are unclear. also I failed the first test but he let the people who fail retake the exam. I still end up getting an A on my final and a B in the class. just pay attention. the Test questions r up for u to see

Professor Vianna is an outstanding individual, he is really in it to help his students and you can tell he has a passion for it. The class requires full participation and is a fast paced environment. If you can't stand the heat don't come into the kitchen, but if you are ready to RECONCEPTUALIZE YOUR LIFE, step right in. Very rewarding class.

You don't need to buy textbooks because it is everything on blackboard. He provides copies of his lectures by blackboard. He helps you when you are interested in his class.

Take him and you would love him. He is very passionate and knowledgeable. At the beginning, he might scare you with biological lectures but HANG ON. If you can survive this class, you have nothing to fear anymore. Three exams and one long research paper.

He's amazing, all these comments on him is true. Cocky, makes you feel like you aren't good enough, lots of slides, lots of work. But, its all a bluff... He's a nice guy. He gives makeup tests if you're absent for whatever reason. He does teach a lot of Biology at first. 3 exams, 1 research paper. Just study, study, study... It's an easy A... Trust

Proff. Vienna was a funny person, a lot of my classmates did not like him since our lectures would sometimes be controversial. He will challenge our minds and some students didn't like that, I guess. His review questions for the exam are exactly the same questions lol. You just basically need to memorize your answers. Overall Great Proff.

I took him in a 6 week course and got a 100% average. I seriously did not understand a majority of what he was talking about in class but once I found the pattern to each test, the class was very easy. Just read and use your mind to connect the dots and you'll be fine.

In the beginning you'll want to drop the course theres a lot of work to be done in this class, you'll have to read A LOT. This class really makes you think and you'll have to think outside of the box.

At first he would scare you with Biology Lecture but after that he would just talk about a lot of stuff. I missed one class and there were alot of information I missed on that day. so just show up and bring your coffee then you should be good to go

The professor provides all the readings so at first when you look on blackboard the work seems overwhelming but its honestly not. Its not an easy class, you have to put the effort in and come everyday and take notes of everything he says. He will go over it if you don't understand, all in all the class is good.

One of the best professors Ive ever had. With the whole pandemic going on, he was VERY understanding. Easy and fair grader! Cares about students thoughts/comments and suggestions. He provides ALL the text (dont have to waste time buying/renting or searching online). He definitely cares about the African American and Latino race. Best professor!

Great professor, although he may not be for everyone. Tests are HARD. However, I learned so much from his class which is definitely not always the case with many professors at LaGuardia. Makes you think outside the box. He also can be kind of grumpy in an endearing way. He challenges his students and treats us like real university students.

Mind you, his test are hard. Its not like your regular textbook test, his test will make you think hard and read a lot. I honestly can say that I learnt a lot and he was genuinely passionate about his teaching. If you are looking for a easy Professor, maybe he is not the one but if you want to learn about psychology, then he is the perfect start.

If you are taking this professor be prepared to read a lot! Professor Vianna does not play when it comes to participation, he will literally get so angry if no one responds and assign pop-up quizzes on material no one understands. He makes a simple question into something much more difficult, making it harder to understand. Attend class it counts.

get ready for him for homework and essays. a bit difficult but if you pay attention you'll be fine. He does not answer emails asap be prepared for that too. apart from that he's a nice teacher

I had to take this class as a prerequisite.I hate having to thinking outside the box especially with psychology however the professor was absolutely incredible and it's so refreshing to meet someone who is so passionate about what they do. I would strongly recommend professor Vianna as I finally 'got it'! I found the whole semester fascinating.

Professor Vianna is an amazing professor that provides readings with pages numbers along with questions to answer. No exams at all and played two films for us to understand and connect what we've learned to the character. Show up to class, participate, write papers indicating you've thought about the material and you'll do well. Easy. Be ready to participate, even if you disagree with him. He's ok with disagreements, I think he likes it. But if you don't participate, your grade will show it.

Great professor, he's very knowledgeable in his field. His assignments are straightforward and easy if you do the required reading. He loves participation in classes and feedback. Only downside would be that he jumps around a lot from topic to topic.
