Prof Delean's class was easy and was always willing to help you learn the various MS applications.The tests were not all that difficult if you showed up to class and did the easy homework that was assigned.Overall,take the class,do the work and take the easy computer tests and you should do well

well he is not good at teaching, he move on 2 fast..well i think the class it self depend on u to learn..but he is very chill with homework. No such a thing as a late HW. just i think do yr work, try to figure them out, and ull be good.. also he doesnt care if u show up or not..just turn in yr work.

If you want an easy A, take his clasees. He will help you set up the online account, then after that he lets you work at your own pace. Attendance is only mandatory for tests, but those are online as well and he cant tell the difference if they were taken at home or at school. he is helpful when you have questions though.

Easy class, Attendance is not mandatory. Practice your assignment during the week and just come to class to take the test. Don't buy book, just buy the code for it, save yourself money.

I needed this course for my degree/not a computer major. It was super easy. This guy is super easy going and helpful when you need him. He makes it clear, don't by the book save some money just get the code. Super easy A. If you need the class take him he only makes you show up to take the tests and the rest you can do on your own!!

This was the easiest A I've ever gotten. TAKE HIS CLASS! I already had a firm grip on MS Office but this was a required class. Tests are online and IDENTICAL to practice tests. I only went to this class on test days and spent about 10 minutes from log on to log off. Final is optional if you don't like your grade and you must present a powerpoint.

Easy A. Half of the code/method is online. No test, just in class assignment and homework. Easy grader. Does not care of the way you code. As long as it works it is fine. Textbook is on NVCC site; he will explain more on the 1st day. Really laid back guy. Take Him!

He is such a nice teacher. It was my very first semester at NOVA and I was bit confused but by taking his class I felt relaxed. Through his class we get to know new things which I think makes us smarter than before.

The class was an easy A. If you need a programming class take him! There is only class assignments (which he does in class) and a final project due at end of semester. I liked Mr. Delean and he is very helpful. The last project is a little time consuming but he will certainly help you if you ask. The grading criteria is very clear. You definitely know what is expected of you.

Based on the reviews here. This professor has been CHILL and respect his students. He is always willing to help his student in this class. There are 14 assignments total which he goes over in class. Final project which is worth MOST of your semester grade but he will help you. I wouldn't take this class if you want to learn Java b/c of an EZ "A"

Extremely easy class. He does all of the hw assignments during class, you just have to copy what he's doing. No exams, just a final project. Don't wait until the last minute to start the project. Beginning of the semester I didn't do too well due to family issues and then started working harder towards the middle of the semester. He saw improvement in my grade and was able to get an A in his class. He also took time to get to know me and talked to me about my family issues, he really does care for his students and wants to be there for them

Professor Delean Edward has rich knowledge and experience. We like his classes because they are easy to be understood. Professor teaches Java through programming practices and lecturing. He helps us correct any errors in programming very patiently and offers extra credits. Therefore, classes of Professor is not hard, and he is a nice professor.

He nice, and helpful at times, but he goes to fast. Take pictures. At first he made assignments due at the end of class, and homework due at the end of the day. And I did not like that, now he gives a little more time. Just follow along and you be fine. Java is hard, but he makes it easier to learn. He the only easy one. Take him.

Had him over the summer, the chillest teacher ever he will only do attendance one, teach once and the rest your on your own. The only difficulty is taking the quizzes or practice on your own but other than that you just do the quiz and test for word/Microsoft then your done. But overall hes a nice teacher though he looks like he doesnt care

The class was very easy and I went through it on my own. Hes very chill and responsive and is there to help you if you need it (especially in the beginning when I didnt know what I was doing). All assignments, quizzes and grader projects (tests) are through myLab. Look up the grader proj. on Youtube. I passed with a 99%

Professor Delean is a really laid back guy who goes over material each class in order to help you. I'm taking his class online and he usually finishes up earlier than end of class time which is nice. Some information can be common sense so lectures sometimes get boring but he's a good teacher overall.

there are not daily quizzes, he uses Cengage for the textbook, but if you find it for free somewhere I would use that instead you submit assignments through canvas not the software, he literally goes over the homework and work in the class so if you just do as he does I wouldn't buy the textbook. I got an A just doing this.

Not a tough grader, if you do your best. At first I always use to email him to post zoom meeting but than he started sending it without forgetting. I wish I could take all my classes with him. He will go through all the assignments. I learnt a lot from him. Just follow him you will learn a lot and get an easy A.

Professor Delean is the BEST!!! He is so caring and understanding!! There is a lot of work in the class but it is very simple. He goes over how to do the assignments during class so it should not be that hard to anyone. I took a similar class in high school so I had the advantage but for other people who have never used excel it should be E-Z!!!!

This class is like every other programming course, if your already knowledgeable in coding than you should be fine with his class, if you are not you will struggle. He is a very tough grader, small errors can lead to a lot points being taken off but he will allow you to fix it to get some points back.

Semester starts with just quizzes on readings and then turns into excel, word, powerpoint, etc assignments but he literally does them along with you in class. Hw barely took up any time if you watch and do it alongside him. Final exam was just on use of microsoft office.

he was really nice! he didnt take attendance when i took him (spring 22) but his class is based on lectures. i wouldnt say lecture heavy because its not but you will definitely take notes and have to read the chapters assigned. theres quizzes and we used Cengage for the textbook & quizzes. hes very lenient but also caring for your grades!

I had a pleasant experience learning Java with Professor Delean. He is very patient and caring. Whatever material he goes over in class is also the homework. If you can't keep up in class, he posts the Zoom recording immediately. Open book coding for midterms and finals instead of proctored exams. I highly recommend him to everybody!

This Professor is easy and nice. The homework and projects are time-consuming, but they are not hard and he is an easy grader as well. He walks through each step for the projects in class which really helps. He ends class early as long as the lecture is done, giving us time to do homework and projects in our own time.
