He is a really great lecturer. Engaging, funny, and knows what he's talking about. He often uses outside references to help people understand concepts; video clips from experiments done in the past or even tv shows today. His lectures are basically word for word his power points, kinda annoying. But it was a good class and I recommend it.
Not only was the content of the class incredibly fascinating, but Dr. Hansen integrated the use of many different engaging learning methods to make the class approachable and interesting to all. Also, the fact that he would play us music before the class started was greatly appreciated by all.
Very helpful in many different circumstances. I had him for Developmental Psych and I think because I enjoyed the material more, I enjoyed the class a lot more. In research methods, the topics could be incredibly boring, but he had a good attitude as well as good teaching methods. His tests are hard, but nowhere near impossible. Avg: B- on tests
Gives amazing lectures and always throws in some great videos for us to watch. Gives up to 5% of extra credit on your final grade. Only three exams for the semester. I literally just went to class and read over his powerpoints (which he puts on BB) before the exams and always received an A. Barely used the book. Online quizzes are easy also.
Do the study guides for the tests and you'll get A's!! Easy quizzes each week, and you raise a virtual child which is simple if you do it all on time. Definitely take him! Go to class for extra credit
I absolutely loved his class. He is a young professor and tends to be relatable. His tests aren't super difficult and if you're regularly attending class you don't have to study much. There are a lot of grades through the semester and he does both in and out of class extra credit. I would recommend his class to everyone.
I was bored most of the time, but it may be because I just didn't enjoy the material. It's a very easy course though. You do need the textbook for his weekly quizzes, but if you dig around you can find the PDF version of the book. (free!) Quizzes are easy. So are exams. Not a hard class, just long, boring lectures.
Awesome professor. Lectures are a great outline for the chapters, since a lot of the questions on the exams are from the book. He gives lots of extra credit which definitely makes a difference, along with easy weekly online quizzes, and the My Virtual Child. Keeps class interesting with videos and makes a lot of jokes. Would definitely take again.
The lectures are boring but the class is an easy A if you actually keep up with the weekly My Virtual Child and Quiz deadlines. There's only three tests and he gives you study guides so if you do them you'll be fine. If you go to class, he also gives extra credit.
Dr. Hansen is an amazing professor! His lectures are essential for understanding the material and when you pair that with book readings, you're sure to do well. He makes the material as interesting as he possibly can and provides study guides to prepare for the exams. He plays music before class which is nice as well.
Ed is great! One of the best at FSU! The book is required, but it's really only required for some questions on the online quizzes, not really for the test. The tests are fairly straightforward if you put in some effort studying the powerpoints. If for some reason you don't do so hot on the tests, his quizzes/virtual child will bring your grade up!
Dr. Ed is a great professor. His lectures are long and sometimes boring, but worth showing up to. His quizzes and tests are strongly based on his lectures, and he gives in class assignments that count as extra credit. There's online homework quizzes and you have to raise a virtual child for homework. Would definitely recommend taking him!
Interesting Class - Prof makes it better - Exams are taken online and you get immediate feedback - decent work load - completely manageable. I would take any class he teaches.
Fantastic professor and person. Make sure you take the quizzes, because they account for 40% of your grade along with the virtual child. Such a genuinely fun, friendly, and understanding professor. Find a reason to take him.
Dr. Ed is really helpful and has very interesting lectures. Reading the textbook chapters helps a lot on both tests and quizzes. There are multiple extra credit opportunities available. The tests are easy as long as you take notes on the lectures.
Great professor. Lots of extra credit. He makes sure you understand the material, by giving examples and study guides before the exams.
Dr. Hansen is an awesome professor. He makes the material interesting and always explains everything very well. As long as you attend class and complete the study guide then you will do well in this class. I would definitely take one of his classes again.
Ed Hansen is a great teacher! He tries to keep his students interested by using funny video clips and telling stories. The class is very informational and sometimes the lectures can get long, but if you pay attention and take notes, you will pass the tests. He gives extra credit and you raise a virtual child which is a simple way to get points.
Tests are very hard. I studied all the lectures, read the book, and filled out the study guide and still got C's on the exams. Exams do not reflect what was learned in class. Exams go into more depth than his lectures. Must read the book to pass exams.
Nearly every week there was a quiz on BB. Many times it was very difficult to find the information in the book/slides. The lectures are very long, and he talks about himself more then the material. The textbook is HORRIBLE. He takes almost 2 months to grade assignments. Exams are hard due to poor presentation of material in class and on the slides.
He brags about himself most of the lecture. He is entertaining, UNTIL you realize the things he was lecturing you about are BARELY on the exams. I had him for two classes back to back so he used the same jokes, maybe that's why he wasn't funny to me as everyone else, but I mean read the book & you should pass. Gives random extra credit in class.
Dr. Hansen is a good teacher, his lectures seem pretty long but it's not hard to pass his class. Read the book and his PowerPoint slides and you'll do fine on the tests. He gives extra credit. if you do bad on the first test and do better on the last two he will replace your grade with the average of the other two tests. He really wants you to pass
He is seriously awesome!!!! The subject matter is confusing, but he is the best professor to take this course with. Super clear, and helps you understand! Although, his tests are kind of tough, so make sure you study!!!!
He makes a very boring topic tolerable. Enjoyable, even. He makes complex concepts easy to understand . He doesn't seem to be a professor to show off how brilliant he is, rather to inspire and educate. He is enthusiastic and understanding. If you want to learn in a less traditional manner- take every class of his that you can.
There are three exams, and ten online quizzes throughout the class. He also offers a lot of extra credit. There are two small writing assignments, as well as a final project. The class is fun. It sounds like a lot of work, but it is manageable-- and he is very clear in his instructions.
Such a nice guy! super helpful if you need extra help. all around great teacher
Great Instructor. He cares about his students, and makes material interesting.
He's a great professor all around. For this course there are 10 online quizzes, 3 exams, and 7 'MyVirtualChild' assignments. Extra credit in class, & out. The exams are a bit difficult, but he provides study guide outlines beforehand. He's a stellar professor, this is my second time having him as a prof., and would take another course w/ him.
Best professor I have EVER had. His knowledge of the subject is extensive allowing his personality to shine in every lecture! The man is extremely considerate of his students and will gladly assist you with any difficulties you may be having. As long as you study the powerpoints you will do well on his test but i would strongly advice attendance.
Great teacher! He's hilarious and shows a lot of videos in class which helps understanding the concepts. The lectures get pretty long but there is a lot of information in the course. The tests aren't too bad if you study the textbook and his notes. Homework is easy and he provides study guides.
Dr. Ed is the bomb. I loved his I/O class! If you are given the opportunity to take it, do yourself a favor and go for it! You won't regret it!
Dr. Hansen is one of the best professors I have ever had. There are 6 in class extra credit opportunities that you just get credit for being there for. Attendance is not technically required but the tests are basically the lectures. If you review the slides you will pass the exams. Great class. Taking another class with him next semester.
Amazing! His class is very simple and interesting. He really cares about his students and offers plenty of extra credit! You'll need to read the chapters if you want an A on the 3 exams.
Dr Hansen was great! He gave enough extra credit opportunities for the whole class and enough assignments for the students to pad their grades with the three exams for the semester. To do well on the exams, use the lecture slides with the textbook and highlight what Dr Hansen says that fits with the textbook information. Use flash cards if needed.
Dr. Hansen is funny, but he is not the best teacher (At least for this class). It is very dry material and hard to pay attention, mostly since it is his area of expertise. He takes FOREVER to grade things and doesn't always keep up with everything. However, I would suggest taking him for a different course.
I hear he's a good teacher in other courses, but I didn't enjoy his Psych of Personality class. My main complaint is the homework component. His instructions are vague, there's no real example, and forget feedback-- he takes forever to grade things. I'm still waiting for a grade on an assignment I turned in on March 1st.
Dr. Ed is a really great professor. He is pretty funny and really nice. A lot of people don't go to class, but he gives a lot of extra credit if you do. I used the textbook a couple of times, but it isn't really necessary if you feel confident in psychology. I would recommend him.
Such an all around amazing professor. Genuinely cares and wants his students to do well. I was out of town for a family member's funeral and without hesitation Dr. Ed was okay with me making up an exam on a later date. Highly recommend him as a professor for Research Methods or I/O Psych. Ps Go to class because he gives extra credit and it adds up!
If you're a psych major PSY3213C is required anyways, so you might as well do yourself a favor and take it with Hansen. The topic itself isn't too interesting, but he livens it up in lecture and gives LOTS of extra credit. Seriously, if you go to class, read the powerpoints and skim the book, you'll get an A. People who didn't get A's didn't try.
Dr. Ed doesn't give grades back in a timely manner (so you don't know what you have in the class until AFTER the final exam). Everything he says in his lecture is irrelevant to the topic at hand and he puts such specific questions on his test that you wouldn't even have known what to take notes on to get that information from his lectures.
Apparently he's a good teacher, but I did not like his Psych of Personality class. The stuff was on the test is stuff that you wouldn't even think to take notes of. He is TERRIBLE at giving back your assignments so you don't even know if you're doing well in the class. He even took too long to give out a study guide so we didn't even get one.
He's kind of a dry person in general, but he's really nice and is willing to help out with extra explanations. His lectures are long, but he tries to keep them funny with memes and recent events. His exams are kind of difficult due to the fact that he pulls random, specific things that he'll mention in class. Quizzes are straight out the book.
Didn't receive credit for work that was tuned in or extra credit assignments.
Hansens Persoality psych class made me love him so much that i also took Child Psych with him. He makes lectures easy and interesting to listen to so if you attend class you really even don't need to use the book. He cares about his students and if you listen to lectures and at least skim through the book you can get an easy A.
Dr. Ed is one of the good ones. He clearly knows the content, and he's got jokes. This course is tedious no matter what, but he made it as painless as possible. We had three tests and a poster presentation, in addition to the separate weekly lab.
All his tests were based off his powerpoints and he gives plenty opportunities for extra credit. Such a nice guy, would definitely recommend him!
Gives out lots of extra credit. 4 exams, 5 written assignments (2 pgs each), 6 quizzes, and a project on your self. Personality psych class was pretty cool. Barely went to class.
Took him for Gen Psych and Research Methods and for both classes he was a great professor! Study guides and lecture material are super useful. Tests were easy as long as you made some effort to study for them. Shows a lot of respect toward students.
Really great professor. Gives a lot of extra credit, but you do have to work for it. The tests are easy if you study the lectures and create your own examples of each topic covered as that is what's on his tests.
Eds the best professor I have had at FSU. His lectures were fun, interesting and informative. He gives a lot of opportunity to make it up if you do poorly on one assignment too.
Take him for as many classes as you can, he's phenomenal with relating his lectures to real life stories. I truly enjoyed every second in his class, but memorize his powerpoint or you won't do that well on the tests.
Dr. Hansen is a great person and very passionate about what he's teaching. I don't love the lecture styles. They can be messy and a little all over the place and makes it difficult to study. He only posts the powerpoints after the lecture, so if you're someone that likes to annotate on the slides, he is not the professor for you.
He gives extra credit that'll help a lot. Its a hard class and Dr Hansen gives hard tests. But if you read the power points and do the study guide you'll be good. If you have the choice of taking Dr Hansen you definitely should! Very respectable person.
Easily one of the BEST professors at this school!!!!!! Grades are based on exams, attendance, participation and extra credit... so VERY EASY points! Study his lecture slides and you'll be good for the exams. Also, I suggest taking notes on his examples (he explains each concept and gives some background info) because that's how he makes his exams.
Pros: Gives amazing lectures and explains everything well Gives a lot of extra credit Gives credit for attendance and participation Can get an easy A if you attend class and study his power points Cons: None Take him!
Overall, I really enjoyed taking Dr. Hansen's personality psych course. His lectures were a bit erratic at times since he used different formats each time. Tests accurately evaluate what you learn in class and read in the textbook. The one thing that bothered me was how long he takes to grade assignments. Difficult to know what grade you will get.
Hes a quirky dude that has a weird sense of humor but uses that to help you understand the content his teaching. Takes forever to grade things but he always ends up giving As on everything. Gives a lot of extra credit. Study Guides help with the test. Didnt go to class all semester and got an A, you can do the same.
Dr. Hansen is a great instructor and his lectures are interesting. The homework assignments and online quizzes are easy, however his tests are difficult and will catch you off guard. The class average was a 70 on the first one. Read the textbook in depth, some test questions are about small details from it. He posts all PowerPoint slides online.
I enjoyed Mr. Hansen's class, it had the right amount of work that did not add more weight to my school workload and made the class interactive. He does give extra credit which I found very helpful, and it would be best if you find psych studies early to get them out the way so you aren't worrying about them at the end of the semester.
Dr. Hansen was a wonderful professor! His lectures were funny and interesting and he truly cares about his students and their learning.
I took Industrial Psychology and it was a tough class. The tests were very challenging but he gave a ton of extra credit. I did averaged low C's on the exams and did well on quizzes and other assignments and ended up with an A in the class. Very easy to talk to, super understanding. Very knowledgable and willing to help if you go to office hours.
Super easy teacher with study guides that are identical to the exam. Makes funny jokes throughout class a lot. Gives extra credit, in class and out. I have had him for three classes now, kinda go to class (kinda dont) and still get As.
I love this man with all of my heart.
Hansen is by far one of the best teachers I have ever taken. I have literally taken every class possible with him. Although he makes you work for As on his exams (like you have to review PowerPoints and read the book to get an A) his tests are reasonable in difficulty and he provides study guides. TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT.
Dr. Hansen was one of the most caring teachers I've had, both for Research Methods and Psych of Personality, however, his lectures are really hard to pay attention in and he LOVES examples - in his test and his lectures, which makes the class harder than it needs to be
He is a super nice person and was really lenient when Corona hit. He does not put all of the information you need in the slides though and will not upload the power points until the day after lecture. You have to really pay attention to what he is saying and be a really quick note taker/multitasker.
Dr. Hansen is great! He always manages to spice up boring lectures with jokes here and there. The class can be difficult, but if you attend class (mandatory), pay attention and study from the book and his powerpoints, you will do well on the exams. He also offers extra credit for SONA participation. Don't underestimate the difficulty of the exams
Very boring teacher. The lectures are really hard to sit through which is why most people don't come to the class. The power points aren't helpful in test or quizzes most material will come from a textbook with really long chapters. There are more assignments than just quizzes and test and even though they are not that hard they can be very tedious
I bombed the first exam, but then I talked to him and studied and did really well on my next 2 which brought my grade up. He also offers EC and he is really fair about how you earn your grade. But his tests are pretty difficult so you really have to read the textbook and do his study guides. Also don't skip class cause you get graded on attendance
He is a great professor and made this class feel easier than I expected (still difficult but he helps). His lectures were easy to follow and keep you engaged. I do not recommend skipping this class because he is much better at explaining the subjects than just reading the book and you get participation points for showing up.
He did not finish grading until after grades were due. He graded EC months before every assignment. Although he was very knowledgeable, the material in the class did not reflect the test. His lectures were so brief, and instead of learning the material he would just give you examples. He gives a lot of extra credit. Don't take if you don't need to.
Book: yes you absolutely need it. lectures: he goes off topic often and wastes a lot of time in class. tests: hard for me even after studying. (I'm not good with tests) emails: Not good with answering emails. I have emails from last month and a week ago that he hasn't responded to. He does not support your learning even when you ask. fall 2020
This class is not easy, his lectures do not help with the exam and even after studying and paying attention to class you still do not do well. He does not answer emails for the life of him, I emailed him multiple times and did not get 1 response. He clearly does not invest in time with his students.
I enjoyed the class. Took Social Psych for honors and it was interesting. No tests or quizzes, just student led presentations on book chapters and once a week we had some readings and a google doc to talk to other students about them. He's a little awkward, very nice, and willing to work with his students.
He is a good professor and you are expected to study to pass. You have to work for an A but it is doable. I found myself teaching myself at times but he gives great examples and is straight to the point in his lectures. He held 1 zoom class a week where he went more in depth on the asynchronous lectures which helped if you were lost!
His lectures are pretty boring but super nice guy. I studied straight from the textbook and passed with an A. The only reason why I wouldn't take him again is because he does NOT reply to emails. I had to email him 4-5 times until I got a response. Very frustrating especially since everything is online now!!
Dr. Hansen is one of the best professors I've had at FSU. He tries to make lectures fun and really cares about his students. He also offers multiple chances for extra credit. There are homework assignments through the textbook due every week but they are not difficult. 10/10 guy.
Prof Hansen is really great. He is a great teacher who uses a lot of examples and analogies. His class is relatively easy, just make sure you do well on exams. Good balance of grades... lab assignments, discussion boards, exams. He is very engaging over zoom. I would take him again!
This class can be tough, but Dr. Hansen breaks the info down to make it easier to understand. He teaches in examples which make it seem easy, but you will need to study to do well on his exams! Be sure to do as much extra credit as possible.
I took him in Spring 2021 and I felt like he didn't care about the class. He was gone for the first couple of weeks of class (for good reason) but then failed to adjust for his absence in his grading. Plus his lectures, both pre-recorded and live, were always being interrupted. I would have dropped the class if I could have.
Few tests in his class, but he teaches everything in class. Recorded lectures for people who don't want to show up in person. Didn't have to buy a textbook but did have to buy a Tophat subscription. Super great prof, will be taking him for more classes.
I did not like his style of teaching. He is boring and talks extremely slow. His powerpoints have very limited information so going to class is important so you can take notes. His class was only based off of 3 exams and the lab portion. He is a caring professor but over all I would not take his class again because I didn't like the way he taught.
Prof. Hansen is a very nice guy. If you study hard and pay attention, you should be able to do well. There are many different factors that make up your grade in this class, so you can't slack on anything if you want an A. Overall, not a bad class if you focus. P.S. All questions in this class are made by him, you won't find anything online.
Professor Hansen is great! Going to lecture is the easiest way to do well. He is kind of boring but his exams are based off of lecture material. He cares about his students and he gives out extra credit and rewards improvement throughout the semester. This class was combined with lab so doing well in lab will help if you do poorly on an exam.
I'm writing his because he brought this site up in class and said something like "1% of all of my students actually have left a review, and they tend to be either extreme positive or negative while most people are really in the middle." or something. Overall he's pretty okay. He let me interview him for an essay elsewhere which was really helpful!
prof hansen is definitely an average professor at FSU but I found his lectures to be sooooo boring and part of that is bc this is just a class with boring subject matter but his PPTs are really bland and there's not a lot of info in them. cool guy though!
Professor Hansen does a great job of making his content engaging. In a class like this, not everyone is going to be interested in what he's talking about, but if you find the material interesting it is super fun to learn about. The tests are very easy if you go to lecture and he cares about his students. Great guy.
Prof Hansen has some great lectures that really help you understand the material so I recommend attending them either in class or online. He offers a bunch of extra credit and as long as you watch the lectures and take good notes you're set up to pass this class easily.
Ed is a really sweet professor. I had him during Covid and did his class via zoom. At the time his wife had their second child so he was pretty busy but ironically I was in his Child Development class so you could tell he was very passionate about the subject matter. I found the course to be really easy and super interesting.
If not for the lab section with a TA I would have earned an A, but it was a really interesting course. Dr. Hansen is very engaging and really funny. His lectures are interesting and you can tell how passionate he is about psychology and the material in general. I'm excited to take Psych of Personality with him in the Fall.
holds zooms, but they arent recorded. exams were open note (except final). Questions are applied. Material can be confusing and power points arent very in depth. Has study guides. Dont need textbook to pass. Focus and have good notes will make this class easy to pass. drops lowest grade with average of other 2 grades.
Dr. Hansen is one of the best professors I've ever had! Class wasn't mandatory, and you can choose to go on zoom if you're sick. The powerpoints and lectures are clear with lots of examples. There are a few small assignments and 3 open note exams with study guides provided. If you end up liking this class, I would also recommend PSY4930 with him!
Professor Hansen was so nice and caring! He gives so many examples and makes it so easy to understand the material. Tophat during class so attendance is recommended, but he keeps them open for 2 weeks in case you missed some. Overall extremely knowledgeable and an awesome professor.
I loved Dr. Hansen! He lectures very well and is super knowledgeable in many areas of psychology. Class isn't mandatory but he gives a good amount of EC so make sure you go! He offers in-person and zoom. You do have to put in the work on the HW assignments, but he provides good feedback so you know what to do next time. I definitely recommend him!
Best professor I have had at FSU. He truly cares about his students and the lecture material given. All lectures were super interesting. Exams were given in person, but online and was open note. All assignments were super easy. There are tons of extra credit assignments. Highly recommend Professor Hansen.
Very caring and passionate professor. Didn't find the lectures super engaging but he tried to make the material more interesting. So much extra credit, open note exams. Read book and fill out exam study guide and you'll do well. Zoom option for lectures. Sweet and funny guy.
Standardized course so any PSY3213C professor will have the group projects in the lab. Material can be difficult, he tries to simplify it. Zoom option and some extra credit. Very knowledgeable and fun. Hard class but more than fair prof. Open note exams will save you but HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing study guide using book and notes--necessary to do well
Funny prof, does his best to make a tough class fun. Uses memes, jokes, etc in lecture; it's better to go to class than not go. Make sure to study for exams because material can be confusing, but they're open book/note. Lab is mostly easy, but pray you get a good team as its mostly group work. Participate and study and you should be good.
I loved having Dr. Ed as a professor! Genuinely cares about his students and will help them in any way he can in order to help them succeed. Would definitely take him again!
Took this class over summer B Kind of unorganized but he gets there eventually. A lot of extensions offered, very understanding. Online textbook included with free code. Reading and quiz almost every day. Takes me 2 hours as a slow reader. Lectures are interesting with personal stories and videos, but all criteria is covered in the textbook.
Professor Hansen is one of the best professors I have ever had in my 4 years at FSU! He is so understanding and makes the class more engaging and leaves you wanting to learn more. HIGHLY recommend this course and any other course with him.
I loved this class! Hansen was an amazing teacher and very understanding. He was very kind, hilarious, and never made class boring. There are no tests or quizzesThere are also, just weekly homework and one big project that isn't bad.
Professor Hansen is a great teacher! He was very understanding. All of our exams were open note and half ended up being an at-home exam. Attendance is not necessary to do well in the class but his lectures were fun and entertaining.
Gives opportunities for EC, able to talk to him after class with any questions, allows for makeup time on assignments, nice, funny. I have had him for 2 different psych classes.
Very caring professor and makes lectures very interesting even when content isn't super exciting.
grades consist of weekly assignments that are easy to get through, no exams, and a semester long project that is easier than you think if you even slightly try. i dont know why you wouldnt pass with an A. i went to maybe 5 classes total and ended with a 101.
Professor Ed tailors his class to promote student success. He is engaging, and assignments are meant to be interesting. I took the honors section, which was discussion/project based with no tests/quizzes. I learned so much with minimal stress. He's funny, understanding, and wants you to be able to apply your knowledge to your daily life. Awesome!
One of the best professors I have ever had.
Took this class as a psych elective and really enjoyed it. Attendance wasn't mandatory and exams were open notes. Very easy class.
Dr. Hansen made the class very entertaining and enjoyable. Tests were open notes and we had one project that we worked on throughout the semester.
Always super nice and caring towards students. He was happy to work with me when I experienced some technical difficulties. You can tell that he is very passionate about child psychology which makes lectures a lot more engaging. I hope to have him again!
Dr. Ed Hansen is a great professor! He is really passionate about what he teaches and is super caring towards all students! Would definitely take him again he's great!!
Dr. Ed Hansen is one of the best professors I have ever had!! He is so caring and you can tell he is passionate about teaching the subject material. I wish more people would come to class because it makes me so sad that only a few people engage in his lectures! He is entertaining to listen to, and tests aren't hard if you read the powerpoint.
An amazing class with an amazing professor. Dr. Hansen is inspirational and I am sure most people in this course can agree that this class was more than just taking notes and exams. Dr. Hansen provided effective outside examples with each concept and has a great way of teaching. I knew I would leave class learning something new to apply to my life.
easy and interesting class. dr hansen is very knowledgeable and accommodating. you get what you want out of the class and attendance is not mandatory
The tests for our class were online and open note. There was a bit of busy work but nothing too hard. I enjoyed the class and would take again.
Took Dr. Hansen for the third time in his I-O psychology course. Class is such a great and informative time, it's sad not a lot of students show up. Easy A, will put you on a path to success and enjoy the class content. You will always learn a lot, and I-O will set you up for understanding psychology in the business world. Exams are open book/note.
Dr. Hansen is a caring professor who makes lectures engaging. Open-note exams, extra credit, and zoom options make this class manageable. Unstuck study and the textbook are helpful study tools.
Child Psychology is one of the most important parts of my career path so I had high expectations for my professor. Dr. Hansen very much delivered and taught a subject I'm very passionate about so well! He's a very understanding professor with super interesting homework assignments. He's super funny as well!
Super sweet guy. Really cares about students' success and makes it very easy to do well. Interesting lectures, gives good feedback, and helped me learn a lot about the topic. Definitely recommend taking him if you can.
Very kind professor and is open to discussions during lectures. His homework isn't too heavy and is sometimes enjoyable. attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going regularly to gain extra insight. he provides extra credit as well. Would 1000% take again
Hansen is GREAT. Easiest class I took all semester. Late work accepted/grace periods for basically every assignment. Stopped attending class like 3 weeks into the semester and finished with a 98. He is super easy, and the class is interesting, def recommend child development with him! Super nice guy as well!
Okay so this honestly the easiest class ever, but he NEVER ANSWERS EMAILS so it was so frustrating to need to reach him about any questions you may have because he will simply never answer.
Dr. Hansen is amazing!! Its clear he cares a lot about his students and is really passionate about what he teaches. His lectures were always interesting and engaging, I always wanted to come to class even though attendance didn't matter. The class itself was super easy too and exams were open note. I would definitely recommend him!!
Worst class I ever took (Motivation). No syllabus until wk 8, things from Jan. had no grade in May, he is horrible at responding to emails. Can confidently say I learned nothing but he thinks that he taught and will yap the whole time. He will make you participate/share to the entire class. Still a very easy class (no exams) but its not worth it
Super nice professor who teaches very clearly. Exams are open note and if you take notes you'll know it all. I've definitely learned a lot about research methods.
