Kluger gives so much work that it is life- consuming. You will lose sleep, but learn the material from all of the HW problems. Not a genuine, frindly guy. Super intelligent. He is tooo anal at grading work.
Kluger is a very hard Prof and assigns alot of work, but, if your serious about Chm you will learn. He is a tough grader, but you are allowed to drop 3 of 8 quizzes, 1 of 4 tests, 1 lab and 4 HW. Get a 95 test avg-exempt from final. Also took his chm1045
study quizes & tests are easy.lets you look at answer key at ofice b4 you turn in home work great teacher grades everything show your work apply you self study and take your A.
GREAT TEACHER!! WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST TAKING ANY CLASS TAUGHT BY HIM
Does not believe in partial credit. Too anal retentive when grading all of the ridiculuos amount of work. He even says he wants to torture his students. One class with him is like a full time load because of all the work assigned.
Very biased teacher. If you take him in gen thru organic he will give extra points, if not beware. Asks you to show your work down to long division and basic algebra. Step by step by step. If you miss one step you didn't show your work. Very unhelpful.
if you want to learn chemistry this is you man knows his material caution work required he is fair and he cares he is alway willing to answer questions
The Best, This man knows his stuff.
Where are people getting off rating Kluger as good. This guy assigns more home homework than all classes combined. He also has some phobia with looking people in the eye. Extremely unhelpful, and a fanatic over small details.
This class is HARD!! The amount of homework he assigns is crazy. I dropped this class, it consumed way too much time. He also has a problem with eye contact and its easy to fall asleep in the class.

Kluger is the hardest teacher I have ever had. He is not good at explaining ideas. Expect a ton of homework, enough to equall 4 classes. His grading is very, very maticulous. His problem is he requires more work than is required of any other chem teacher.
Anyone we says this class is too much work is just lazy! He drops so many grades that if you mess up a little bit it's okay. You just need to keep up.
Good Professor. Lots of HW. Do your work and study. You will do well. He tells you up front, this is college and what he expects. Very flexible w/students once they prove they are serious.
He's not easy, but he cares. He will work with you if you are a good student. He has no tolerance for people who just show up and take up space in class. Must do homework and study.
be prepared to do, re-do, think, dream, everything about chemistry for the semester because that is all you wil have time for with this guy. 20 bucks to whoever can make eye contact with this guy.
If you study, this class isn't bad at all. Tests are based on the quizes, so there are no suprises. Must take if you want to LEARN chemistry.
Dr. Kluger assigns a lot of homework, but if you go to his office he will give the answers. Labs are easy. PAY ATTENTION in class. He explains all of the concepts clearly, but you cannot day dream or you'll miss it. Goes over problems several times.

If you want to learn about Chemistry, he is the man. He is very meticulous on his grading. Every little decimal and exponent has to be in the right place. Get ready to put in work.
Dr. Klugar is the man when it comes to Chemistry. He knows what he is doing and he takes the time to really go through and explain everything step by step. He helps you out when you need it and he give a lot of free bees, but dont take it as a joke

He gives a lot of hw but also drops a lot of low grades. The class was extremely hard, but he tried to make it funny. He tends to make students feel stupid when they ask a question. If you do your work and go to class, you'll be fine bc attendance counts.
Very hard teacher...I hated him...It is hard to get good grades with him
He's tough, even and especially for a CC professor. He assigns WAY too much work & he's too picky about showing work. I can understand why it's important, but he takes it a tad bit too far. He tends to lecture to the floor & he's not a very nice 1 on 1.
This man is the greatest chemistry teacher ever. Prepare to work, work, work, and you cant help but learn, learn, learn. Not an easy A but if you need chemistry where you are going then you wont regret haveing his classes behind you.
How dare he? He is the worst professor I have ever taken! Expects you to show work as if you are in 3rd grade, definitly plays favorites and will make u feel very stupid for asking a question
He has a PhD in Organic Chem so don't expect anything to be easy! Attendance counts, and so does showing your work. If you can work hard it is a great class, if not you are destined to fail.
This man is brilliant! His class is challenging, but he is more than willing to help you out. He drops a lot of low grades. He does make you feel stupid sometimes, but overall, he is just a brilliant man.
The Klugernator kicks ass! Knows his stuff. Screw up and prepare to get BONGA'd by Klugie. Herr Doctor will prepare you well for future classes. Only take Klugenheimer if you're serious about learning chemistry. (Or Kung-Fu!) A+++
Very rude if you ask a question during class. If you don't understand something he's talking about, too bad. He won't answer it or he will make you feel really stupid. Gives tons of homework but you can check the answers if you go to his office. Seems nicer in lab. Funny when he talks about Kung Fu.
Oh look, another teacher that moonlights at UCF and wont do the one on one that you expect from a comm. college because he has no time. Instead he gives more homework than you can get done and expects you to figure it out from the book and lecture. If you don't understand, your screwed.
Combines the bad things of high school, with the bad things of college into one class (insane amounts of busy work paired with college level tests). How he expects anyone with a job and other classes to succeed is beyond me. Be prepared for him to ridicule you for not understanding things.
Not the greatest teacher. The lectures are very choppy & fast-paced. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS!- he will make fun of you!- even if the questions are well-founded. Lots of busywork. It isnt impossible to do well in the course, but you would gain better knowledge with another teacher.
KLUGAR IS AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!!! SUCH A COOL GUY AND A SMART ASS PROFESSOR!! You have to really try ull have no problem...Cant say one bad thing about Klugar....id take the class over and over again if i could
Do not be fooled, he's the hardest Chem prof on the East Campus with the worst penmanship, but he makes up for it in providing lots of HW assignments, labs, and take-home quizes for practice, not to mention having notecards for ALL tests (final included). P.S. Perfect Attendance doesn't hurt.
this teacher is a goof ball, he stares at ur feet while teaching. when u ask a ? he rather TRYS make u feel dumb or just stupidly answers "That's not important" even when u r askin bout wat he is doin. his handwriting stink and he gives ALOT OF HOMEWORK and his class seems to b forever and not end!
Dr. Kluger is the BEST teacher you'll ever have if you want to know chemistry! I plan on taking him all the way to Organic II if possible. Though he isn't always approachable, I guarantee you'll know your stuff very well after you've had him! Highly recomended for the serious learner only!!!
This professor is very smart and makes the class easy to learn
If Chemistry is your major, then he is the one you want. I struggled like crazy, but worked hard and received a very good grade considering I failed two tests. His course is set up so you can get a good grade, no matter what (unless you don't give a sh!t). A good professor who prepares you!!
A LOT OF HOMEWORK!! He looks at the floor while lecturing, you cannot read his handwriting, he cannot/ will not answer questions and belittles students in front of the class. Do not take this professor.
If you work hard Kluger will match your determination with just as much dedication to your learning. If you don't study this class will blow you away.
Difficult to say the least. Hard class, fast paced. If you haven't taken chem in a long while, try intro. to chem first. Lots of homework, but if you actually study it, you'll get a glimmer of understanding. The first 2 tests are murder hard so kids flunk out.The work is worth learning, but its hard
Kluger is a great profeesor! He is completely dedicated to expanding his vas array of chem knowledge to any student eager and willing to put in the time. If you listen to his recommendations his class is an easy "A."
Dr. Kluger is really smart. he really knows chem. If you read the chapters and do the HW you will pass the tests. I slacked off at first and failed a couple tests but as soon as i started trying it was cake. I failed a few tests and quizes and still got an A. he drops alot of stuff. You will learn!
BEST CHEM PROFESSOR ON CAMPUS!!!This class does requires a lot of time and dedication, but if you do your homework and pay attention in class, the tests will be SO easy!He offers time in his office if you need extra help and also allows you to check you homework and labs with his answer keys
The best professor ever, it teaches you what you really need, very clear, a lot of assigments make it so easy you do not need to study for test, and you can get a lot of point for this.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!
The man is everywhere. When he shows a problem it takes him so much time so many steps he gets confussed by his own work. But he is really wierd but nice, and he gives you awnsers but takes points off for stupid stuff. Should be able to get an A if you spend ALOT of time working for it.
He is not smart, he confusses himself, he takes was to many steps, unorganized, mean, hypocritical, make a very easy class IMO harder then it is. His grading is wack to say the least. Lots of H/W. Does give you take home quizes but just because you got the right awnser you not get credit! His way or wrong Freethinkers Beware!!IE: 1+1 doesnot= 1x2
The only people who do not like this professor, are the ones who dont have a clue. It is hard, and grades hard, but lets you check all of your homework before you turn it in. If you do the homework, and dont slack, it is easy to get a "B". If you get behind, you'll never catch up. No surprises on the tests, you know what is expected of you.Great Prof!
This is a TOUGH teacher. If you make an A, you EARN an A. He covered EVERYTHING in the summer short term, just like a normal semester. A LOT of hw assignments (take like 3 hrs.), take-home quizzes, drops 1 test grade, don't take final if you have a A average, VERY picky grading tests, labs, everything. Always show your WORK or you loose a LOT of pts
If you are looking for an ease road out of chem, this is not the teacher for you. If you want a teacher that will baby you, this is also not the teacher for you. Dr.Kluger is a great professor, who knows his stuff. While hard to follow at times, he gets the info into your head and keeps it there. the take home quizzes and hw are lots of help, and really prepare you for his tests. If you want a teacher that will challenge you to do the best you can in chem, take Dr.Kluger!
He is very hard to follow. I can't stand his voice and if you take him you'll get tired of hearing "bongo". He tries to be hip by wearing name brand clothes, but he should jsut stop trying. I would never take a class with him again.
He's a character. I had him for intro to chem. I can't think of a time where he looked at any of the students in the eye. He teaches to the floor. I got a C in his class I think it's because I had never seen chem before. He prepared me well for chem I.
Dr. Klueger...Man people complained about him but I liked him. The class was not easy by any means but he cracked me up. He's a really nice guy and he will definately prepare you for chem I. He gives a lot of HW and theres about 8 quizzes, drops 3 and 5 tests but one gets dropped! However, even though there is a lot to do it only helps you !
This man is a very nice person who is, Im sure a brilliant chemist, but this was the hardest and most confusing class I have ever had. He gets lost in his own lectures. He does give opportunities but to get a good grade in this class you will have to eat, sleep and breathe chemistry.
Dr.Kluger is very knowledgable in his subject area. He does not necessarily pass on this knowledge in an understandable manner everytime, but he tries to. All in all, he is a good professor, but his classes are very challenging. If you are not up to homework and quizes, don't take him. If you don't want to work hard, don't take him.
Dr. Kluger is the most helpful and fair professor I have ever had. On that note, his class is not for wussies!! You will earn your grade with him. However you will also have the confidence of knowing he's infintely available to help you. He only grades half of his quizes and homeworks so if you bomb a couple, or don't do them DONT FRET!!
Dr. Kluger is Great # 1. Ok Guys pay attention to the class, do all the crazy ab works(check the answers w him, he has copies)any questions come from the HW. and labs. He is the best chem prof. believe guys!!!I gat a B in his class and never...took chemestry before...study!
Don't take him on Summer B. He gives a lot of homework that is impossible to finish, so you end up copying everything. He explains well the subject, but when he explains the exercise, he is also telling things that are going to be on the test. For me didn't work, he was too hard. Maybe will work for you. I prefer Dr. B.
BONGAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!HEHEH....he talk a lot, but needs to pay attention to the problems which he will focus a lot on, and take it from me, to do the multiple choices, READ THE BOOK!
If you are looking to fly through a Summer B class, dont take this. The tests are easy but there is a lot of homework and way too many labs. This class is pretty simplistic for Chem 2 but it is filled to the brim with busy work. If you depend on good lecture to get through a class you are in trouble.
If you are easily annoyed by professors, then don't take him. He is also not teaching an easy subject. If you expect ANY chem prof to be easy then don't take chemistry! On the flip side, he is also willing to help you understand the concepts and sets aside many office hours. He will also give lots of quizzes that are basically "pre-tests".
Though the professor does know his stuff he is very annoying, not only is he annoying, but he can be rude as well... you always have something to do for this class, and it gets to the point that even he has too much to grade... at the end of the semester he still hasnt handed back our chapter one homework.
If you expect to learn anything in this class you are in this is the wrong professor. you have know everything about chemistry before learning it. he goes through the material way fast for the reason that he gets behind with the class, worst of all gets upset when a question is asked he is lecturing.
Dr.Kluger is the best instructor I have ever had. He alwasy helped me whenever I asked. If you think this class is easy you better run yo punk ass on up to the registration office & take a PE classes or psychology classes. This class is for true chemestry students & allied health service majors. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!
He do not like to explain.
he is a good teacher and wants students to do well, always in his office easy to get ahold of, gives answer keys for homework. If you aren't willing to work hard don't take him STUDY HARD and get a tutor!! Doesn't look people in the eyes but you have to learn to ignore it, if you need chem for your major take him
Dr Kluger is an excellent professor, a bit quirky perhaps, but I learned a lot in a very difficult subject. He is not very encouraging, but will give you the tools you need to succeed.
A lot people complain about him, but he does everything he can to help you, gives you answer keys in the lab and hw, gives manatory hw(helpful for grade and prepartion). The only reason you possibly would not like this class is b/c sometimes he is hard to understand(you can buy lecture notes) or you dont show your work. He also drops many grades.
The only reason why anyone would say that Kluger isn't a good teacher is if A.You're a slacker or B.Your schedule was too full to handle this class. You HAVE to study and you HAVE to make time for this class. As long as you study you will do well. This man is a genius! I go to UCF, this man is the BEST teacher I ever HAD! So dedicated to his class
like said before, been doin organic for 30 years or something, he knows his stuff, hard class but not cause of him, only problem is i felt we took to long with the review material and flew through the mechanism towards the end, dont take this class with a heavy load, and he keeps injuring himself with martial arts
excellent teacher, i got an A in his class very good teaching, many assignments
AWESOME!!! THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF AND IS WILLING TO HELP SO TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!!
terrible a lecturing and assigns an improssible amount of work. it's never clear when assignments are due and topics on the test are not covered in class
Pretty hard teacher.Cons: Enormous ammount of homework, labs and take home quizzes. Pros: His lectures are pretty straight forward, he goes over sample problems that are exactly like the tests and he provides answer keys to the hw as well. DO NOT MISS ANY LECTURES OR LABS!!!. They are key to getting a good grade.
Very nice, willing to help, hard class, but lots of homeworks, quizzes hard, but tests are based on quizzes, will erase the lowest test, counts only the 6 best graded quizzes and will give you extra credit work, hard class, but lots of help.Funny teacher too.
Awesome professor! Although he gives a lot of HW, it will help you with the quizzes and exams. He's very clear and he does example problems that will be on the HW, quizzes, and exams. You'll only fail this class if you don't study. Other than that, he's great and not boring.
This is one of the best professors that I have ever had! Dr. Kluger is willing to help explain anything that students do not understand. Homework is mandatory but he leaves the answer sheet in his office for students to use before turning in assignments. The exams are difficult, but if you study you should be ok. I definitely recommend him.
I love Dr. Kluger for Intro to Chem! I wish I had him for Chem 1. He has some quirks you have to get past, but once you do you find he is so helpful. He does a lot of problems in class which make understanding the subject so much easier. He gives his tests in the testing center so you can have as much time and you want/need.
HUGE workload. Can't afford to have more classes or it WILL affect grade. Another CHM prof that covers problems and no theory. You learn the real stuff from your time with the awful book. DAY before final, he skimmed over a new chapter (normally a week per chap) and it counted 18% of final. NO time to read this chap and do the HW before the final.
I would absolutely NOT recommend taking Dr. Kluger. At first his quirkiness is affable, but after awhile... you start to become downright concerned. He acts as if his class is the only one his students are taking. I have a B.A. and came back to Valencia and I have never had a more disorganized professor.
I took 4 classes when I took him & it wasnt that bad. Its college! If you dont do the work then you will fail, but thats any class. He does give a lot of work but you also learn a lot. He is a lil weird but hes a scientist so it suits him. I really enjoyed him & his class, it was fun & I really understand the material & feel very prepared for Chm 1
Chemistry is hard in general. You have to work your butt off for your grade. I recommend taking only 2 or 3 easy classes when taking a chem class. He is awesome though. I will miss him. Great humor! He knows his stuff. He is flexable with assignments when they're due. But do not fall behind. Show up for class or you will fail. Take him! I got an A.
the best chem prof...i will miss him because he retires after this semester.
we need you back!!!
