very nice and very helpful. explained each step on how to do the right way. Nice teacher.
He is a wonderful teacher. Very helpful and explains the math problems very clearly. I would 100% recommend this teacher!!
Great teacher!!! This was his first semester teaching at century and will be staying here for longer, which is good news for you wanting a good teacher. He is super nice and sweet. He cares about his students. If you want to learn the material, and get a good grade without having to do tons of homework, take his class you wont be sorry.
Very polite and respectful instructor.
Very helpful. If needed I would definately take another of his classes. Higly recommended.
He's an overall great teacher: personable, friendly, funny, respectful, helpful, clear, professional, knowledgeable, and patient It's also cool that he doesn't take himself too seriously... very humble and not condescending.
Good teacher. Highly recommend
Awesome teacher! Very clear, helpful and fair with grading.
Professor Kruszka is a very informative teacher. He is able to teach in several different ways. Very clear on what he is teaching. It is easy to stay focused in his class! Really enjoyed his math 10 and math 30 classes! Two thumbs up!:)
Good Professor. He gives lots of samples for test and quiz. Nice, smart, and knows what's he's doing. Overall an easy class if you go to class, take notes, and ask questions.
Great teacher. I will definitely take him again. Explains very clearly and test were easy and what learned in class. Recommend for those who want a nice, patient, helpful teacher.
Very cool guy! I've never seen a teacher so chill-axed. Very helpful and patient with all his students. He makes sure that you don't just do the work, but that you understand it all too. Great demeanor day in and day out. I wish he taught 1061 next semester so I could take him again. I highly recommend!
Awesome teacher! So sad that he isn't teaching Calc 1 that I need next semester! Very patient, not tricky at all, very knowledgable in Math, and truely seems to enjoy math! It's weird, it makes me enjoy math! And the hour go by so fast!
Great teacher! :)
One of the the easiest Math Professors I have ever taken.Although I never went to class that often, but when I do he does an excellent job of showing a lot of examples and most often before class would ask the class if anyone needs help first before starting the class. I would recommend taking him if you need any math classes.
He is a very good teacher and I usually suck at math! He was very helpful. I wish I could have taken all my math courses with him. He will take time to explain things thorouhly and not get frustrated. Easy on the eyes too.
Reminds me of Harmon Rabb from JAG. Sounds just like him. Totally easy on the eyes :)
Very good teacher fast paced homework designed to help great class
GREAT Teacher!!!!! I took his math 30 class last semester. He is very helpful and nice. He explains things well and is willing to show a lot of examples. He actually teaches the class, unlike some teachers that just hand out homework. I highly recommend Mr. Kruszka for your next math class.
very fast paced teaching style. show up, do the work, earn your grade.
Great teacher! You earn your grade in this class. Dont expect for him to show you sympathy. Your in a college level class and he expects that from you "which he should" do your assignments prior to tests, and show up for lecture and you'll be fine.
GREAT TEACHER...take him if at all possible. Really knows his stuff especially when it comes to differential equations and lin. alg. Nuff said
Mr. Kruszka needs to go slower when presenting new material. He jumps around a lot during his lectures and forgets to show us important information. Mr. Kruszka is also moody. I question if he still enjoys teaching.
fast paced teaching style. had to do a lot of work (understandable since it is math). i would highly recommend him. Attending class and completing all homework assignments is highly recommended. AWESOME professor.
He's really good at teaching. A teacher that wants students to succeed and know how stats applies in the real world. Tests are exactly like his worksheets and he tells you what he will be testing you. Attend class to understand the material.
Awesome teacher!! TAKE HIM if you have to take math. He seriously wants his students to succeed. Tells you exactly what will be on the exams and when he will give out quizzes. Attend his class, take notes, do your work & you'll earn your grade. AWESOME TEACHER!!!!
Mr. Kruzka is awesome! I loved taking statistics from him. I found him to be clear, helpful, and patient. His classes move at a good pace, but he stops and recaps things so it's the perfect balance. I wish more math teachers were as clear and helpful as him. He wants his students to succeed and that's what makes the difference. Take him if you can.
Really nice and easy going, but super picky grader on tests.as long as you do every problem on the homework you will get full points.
He has to much home work required. Hes a nice guy,a good teacher. But expect WHY to much from a math 70 class. I would say look for a different teacher if you dont like doing math homework if you learn better without homework like me then dont take him.Tests every week and a 2 hours math class is a joke. Look for different class to cover the credit
Mr. Kruszka is probably the best math teacher I've ever had. I honestly don't want to take anyone else ever again. He explains things thoroughly and has you do problems along with him instead of making you watch. I highly reccomend him.
Very good professor. I learned a lot in his class and he was always friendly and helpful. He spent most of the class period working out problems which I found very helpful. I would highly recommend him.
One of the best math teachers I have ever taken.
He is awesome! One of the best math instructors I've ever had. He is very helpful.
He was by far one of the best math teachers I've ever had. I would recommend him to anyone! I took him two semesters in a row to get me through my math requirements. Even though I'm terrible at math he made is somewhat bearable and I passed with flying colors.
Taught in a mostly clear manner. Friendly and sometimes funny. Class almost never lasted the full hour and a half. The lectures are long and boring but necessary to pass the class. Homework almost every day. Fair, straightforward grader.
He is the best teacher I have had in terms of Math class. I have taken calculus 2 last semester and he made easy for the class. I would absolutely recommend to take it him.
Best math teacher ever.
Has a great knowledge of algebra and will always welcome questions and inquiries with a helpful tone. Cares about his students success. You will work on a good amount of your homework in class in order to clearly learn the concepts. Those will little self confidence in math shouldn't need to worry. Missing a class or two isnt going to hurt too bad.
He is a great teacher I would recommend him to anyone.
Great professor I enjoyed taking his class. Even though it was in the summer we managed to get through a lot in 6 weeks. The best part was he understands the material is rushed but he doesn't rush the students. Tests were just like Homework and lectures he did the homework for you so you can't complain, hes always willing to help. Would take again!
Awesome math teacher! Truly cares about student success and is always willing to provide extra clarity and help. Would take him for every math class if I could and don't think you could run across many better math teachers. Take, take him and take him some more!
Id previously taken his Math70 class. I was impressed with his teaching skills so much that I took College Algebra in the summer even though I could've waited and taken statistics. He inspires confidence. Everything people are saying on this website is accurate. Take his class .
Great teacher. Always willing to help. Best be showing your work because he'll nail ya every time. Great sense of humor and definitely easy on the eyes. Just sayin-
Overall great guy. He's got a great sense of humor and he's always there to help. One of the best teachers I've ever had. Very approachable and patient when asking for help. The subject matter is difficult but his lectures are very clear and easy to follow. If something isn't clear he will take as long as necessary to ensure a solid understanding.
He's one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He goes into the subject detail step by step and explains each step. He's a pretty laid back dude and cracks jokes from time to time. Would recommend!
This is the first time that I had a math class and actually enjoyed it! At first his teaching style is odd because we jump right into the material, but it works. Doesn't seem bothered if you ask questions in class. Tells you what to study for on the exams. Has a deadpan sense of humor and speaks softly. Highly recommend.
Actually genuinely cares about his student's success. He let us use a formula sheet for our tests. His class was pretty easy and the homework was spaced out so that it was manageable. The lectures can be boring but he is good at explaining how to do math. Pretty good teacher overall.
Statistics can be a pretty dry subject, but Professor Kruszka tries to make it as fun and relevant as possible, sharing current articles and trying to help his students gain an understanding of the use of statistics in life. Easy A if you do your homework and pay attention in class.
I had diff prof for math 70 and withdrew right away, then took him for Math 70 and passed with an A. Inspired, I took him for my stats that I'm currently in right now and I love his teaching style! He does worksheets & examples with you(that later will be found on tests), and that's how he teaches doing work with you!
Kruszka is awesome, great, and very patient when teaching math. Students tend to ask him the same question 2-3 times and he'll still reply/repeat calmly. He's through at explaining math. He taught at an elementary school before in a bad neighborhood of Chicago and seems to care a lot about those students, which explains why he's so patient.
He goes over problems quite well I understand the first time over and if I don't he's always happy to rerun the problem for you I've emailed him for help once and instead of having to wait for class he emailed me the formula and solutuons.
teaches well, will help you in class and answer any questions you have, very nice and funny, laid back
He goes over problems pretty fast, He calls on people to answer questions, His handwritting is too small and not neat. Hes good at teaching; however, not my style of teaching. He understands that students have lives outside of school. Dont take him if you want a slower paced class.
Edward's stats class was really easy to follow. Does worksheets and example problems from the textbook itself. Problems that are exercised with is 99.9% on exams. Explains things clearly and wants his students to pass! Learn how to ask for help and he will definitely aide in the best way he can. If I could take him again for another class, I would!
You'll receive the test score couple days after the test was taken but youll receive the test paper later normally later due to extending the test for some students who haven't taken the test. (May guess you can make up the test if you miss the day of the test)He run through the problem simlair to homework queation & some time work with homework qs
He is an awesome professor, he makes statistics understandable. Super relaxed and nice.
He is super nice and funny and goes over every single thing that will be on each test. There are no surprises in this class when it comes to material for the tests. He prepares us by giving lots of example problems and homework problems. You can ask him anything at anytime. Great prof! Highly recommend especially for the summer course.
It is very easy to fall behind if you miss a class, I had a Mon - Thur class so we met almost daily. Although Ed teaches at a fast pace, he is extremely patient & always willing to answer questions. He tries to make the class "interesting" by relating coursework w/ everyday life. Expect homework daily but always due on test days. Go to the MRC!
I have a traumatic brain injury, so learning is difficult for me. I also have always struggled with math since I was a child. Needless to say, math is nearly impossible for me these days. But Ed was VERY helpful and encouraging and helped me believe in myself again and pass his classes. I have to take 1062 a second time, but 1061 I passed with a C.
Ed is a great guy and the class was pretty straightforward. There's lots of homework for this course, but the test questions are very similar to the problems so there aren't any surprises. Would recommend attending every class if you're less math inclined, but overall wasn't super difficult. Always answers questions and will help outside of class.
awesome dude
Not the best teacher but a great guy overall. You learn most from doing the homework then go over question in class. His exams are stupid proof. He basically gives you the bare minimum difficulty questions to see if you are worthy of passing. If he taught addition, on the test, instead of 11 + 37, he'll put 2 + 2. Basics and bare minimum.
Amazing teacher with a great personality and straight forward teaching style. Excellent lecture pace and is happy to answer any questions you have in class. Attendance isnt required but you really shouldnt miss more than a handful of classes if at all, but that goes with the subject. Also see him in his office if you need Extra help.
He's a nice and approachable guy that is really good at explaining calculus. All of the tests were pretty easy too so overall the class was pretty enjoyable.
Kruszka is a great guy. You can tell he enjoys what he does and it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. He's chill and won't criticize you if you don't understand and will defiantly take the time to help you if you seek him out. Definitely take him again if I could.
Taking his class during the COVID19 pandemic has been a great relief. He has been great at adapting all of the material and is great at explaining topics both in person and online. Very approachable for help, even though you won't need to do that very often. Very manageable for a math class.
When I took Calc 1 with Prof. Kruszka I was really nervous because I had struggled with it in the past. I really lucked out taking it with him, though. I loved his teaching style, he lectures new content but also goes over any homework questions with the whole class. His exams weren't overly hard, and he's a pretty sympathetic grader. Great prof!
Mr. Kruszka is very nice and enjoyable in class. He makes jokes and has articles about real life situation that link to what we are learning. He also uses the textbook for some lectures so be prepared with the book. Attendance is taken before he starts. He is very good with questions so ask away!
Ed is the best professor I have ever had. I highly recommend taking one of his classes if you get the chance. He is very accommodating and responds to emails quickly. The class isn't hard if you just do the homework. Test problems are very similar to homework. He is a great teacher.
Great texting style, but you need to actually put in a lot of effort to understand or you will get lost. Make you you understand each section because it build off of it in the next section.
Willing to help outside class and even offered to let some classmates take the final on a different day if it worked better for them. There's a lot of things to remember, so I suggest saving classwork (he also posts stuff online). He also has review days where he helps with any problems you ask, so if you struggle with statistics, you should attend
I took his stats class and it was extremely easy. He tells you what's on the test and gives out worksheets that have similar problems on the test. He's a great person and very understanding.
Professor Kruszka is probably the best STATS professor I've ever had. The way he explained the material made it so easy for me to understand, and I was able to get a 90 or two on some tests. I've never gotten an A on a math test before, so it was really exciting for me, and I think that Professor Kruszka helped so much with that.
took college algebra in the summer. He's a great professor. A lot of homework from the text book but he will provide answer keys. Make sure you do his homework and you will go great on test.
He is a very fair teacher. he gets to the point and ensures you know what you need to know. He is personal and friendly with his students. Responds quickly and is a great communicator.
He was a great guy but not a great teacher. Taking calc 3 was difficult because his lecture style was hard to understand and he packed a LOT of information into the 2 lecture days a week. I had to seek out tutors and his office hours and that helped me scrape by. Very stressful class. He graded tests fairly though. If you take him, do IN-PERSON.
He is a challenging teacher but you walk off knowing the content and feeling like you got your moneys worth. Tests are harder than the homework so it's difficult to be prepared but he gives half credit for showing the proper work, but as a balance he doesn't curve the tests. Very fair. He has good lectures and good supplemental videos. Good teacher
I think he's a great professor. Sometimes he is a little fast, but will answer any questions without hesitation.
Took his online class during summer. Depending on the unit, there may be more or less lecture videos. Open notes and textbook during tests.
Edward was great. Very helpful and easy to follow. I am registered to take another class with him next semester.
Ed is a solid choice for an instructor to take a course in College Algebra. The videos he posts are straight to the point and he shows many examples that simulate the homework problems. The lectures include him solving problems and showing how to use the calculator for graphing. Ed is one of the best Math instructors I have had so far.
I took College Algebra 2 w/Trig as a synchronous course. Mr. Kruszka was really good about showing what type of questions would be on the tests. This class was easy for me because I had taken something similar in high school. The only negative thing is that his videos are bad quality and hard to understand because of his lack of editing captions.
I'm going to be honest, this guy is kind of a mid professor because the class average was like a 70% which is kinda sad. I'm not sure what to say except he really is mid af.
He posts a syllabus at the beginning with suggested pacing for each assignment that I found to be very helpful. He posts lectures for each lesson and explained the harder topics in more depth too. Overall I enjoyed taking his course, and I don't really even like math. 1 assignment per lesson (5-10 per chapter) 5 chapter tests 1 final exam
Very kind teacher. He posted a suggested pacing schedule once the semester started, and had heavily detailed recorded lectures. Easy to reach out to him, and since it was an online course, he frequently kept in touch over email. My only complaint is his grading can be kind of nitpicky on tests, which is understandable though
His lectures were clear. The book was great too. Exam grading was tough, but you have a full day to do your exam. I would love to take all my math courses with him.
This professor is low-key inconsiderate. When taking his class, make sure you know what you are doing, and don't even try to clarify anything with him. He will point you to the rubric and will not help you with anything after it's been taken.
I'll be 100% honest when I say this, This professor is kinda mean and inconsiderate. I was taking a test and used the letter I instead of the Integral Symbol for an exam as I typed it all in Google Docs, I was docked 2 points per question for a total of 20 points off the exam which was 20% of the entire exam. Now I understand why he did this but 💀
I was very nervous to take a math class online, but this professors class was very organized. As long as you watch every single video and take notes on the examples you will do very well. If you ask for questions on email however, he is not the most friendly person, but he will answer it well. Overall I would take this class again.
