I honestly hate online chemistry assignments, and I suck at math because of eBook is confusing for me to follow the rules. I had to get help with tutor for math problems. Concepts are pretty easy to understand and memorize. Just partner up with a classmate or get tutor if you are struggling with math. Anyways, professor is pretty chilling guy.

I enjoyed this class. It wasn't terribly hard, but studying is needed, the book helps. Attendance is not needed but it's easier to understand the concepts. Hw was way more difficult than the exams and didn't fully match lecture. Lab wasn't hard but the practicum was fast-paced. Very easy to reach for questions tho, nice professor who truly cares.

Means well and cares about students. Lectures are important; tests cover a wide range of topics (basically anything mentioned in lecture, book chapters, etc). 102B is "Forensics Science" but it is just regular chem with a few case studies. Couple extra credits. DO THE HOMEWORK (graded heavy). Hard to contact via email; prefers in-person or calling.

hw was done thru digital textbook and it was very faulty and very difficult / time consuming for literally no reason. everyone else said his class was easy but apparently he switched up this year bc we were all struggling. his lectures are repetitive and his exams only Mostly match the material covered in class. if u have him good luck, i hated it

Brilliant individual. Expects high caliber learning. If you put the effort in it will reflect the grade. Great lectures that relates chem to real life csi style forensics. Homework and Quizzes online due when completing chapters. Well organized and knows his stuff! Answers all questions and genuinely wants students to do their best. He is great 😃

Meisel is smart and passionate about science. He made chemistry easier to learn & was helpful in lab. Good teacher and genuinely wants to help his students. His only downfall is that he can be hard to reach, he doesn't care for email, so office hours are important. Exams weren't too hard and I felt prepared for all of them. Overall great professor.

Great professor, but I'm awful at chemistry so I struggled a bit. He is passionate about chemistry and teaches it well. He's evidently a smart guy, and talks about his inventions a lot. Lots of exams, but they get curved quite a bit when people fail them. He's pretty nice and understanding, and I would take him again as long as it's not chemistry.

The class was him standing at the front of the class, elaborating on slides, which was quite boring. Many exams that aren't that difficult, just be present and take notes during class, and the class will be easy. Lab section isn't too difficult either. He is sympathetic and nice, he isn't the greatest about replying to emails though.

We had 10 labs throughout the semester, but the lowest one was dropped. He was very willing to help out during class, and even when the labs did not go as planned, he was nice and considerate in helping figure out what went wrong. The only thing is that he requires graphs for most of the labs so I would recommend knowing how to make them correctly.

Professor Meisel is very nice. The material seems a bit complicated but the exams are easy. He's passionate about chemistry and is open for questions or conversations during and after class. I'd recommend him to anyone first understanding chemistry.

He is a very nice guy! His lectures are a tad boring and you'll rarely get out early, but everything else is great. There are discussion boards and online textbook homework due every week but they're pretty simple. His exams aren't hard if you study. I can tell he's very passionate about this field and he's a great start to college chemistry!
