A good, but difficult, instructor.
Ed was a great instructor and a really funny guy. He wore sandles and cargo shorts to class everyday and was really chill when people started getting confused. I would definetly recommend his course, although it is tough (I got a C when I usually get A's)
He has a grest voice, it helped me stay awake for math, he's challenging but good at explaining concepts and is also very patient.
Tests are fair and he is very funny. I enjoyed going to lecture.
he is pretty easy, as long as you do the hw..he lets you see the last years midterm...gives good expamples..always makes math fun to learn in his class.
Ed is a cool guy. He makes algebra very easy! Although I do caution to be careful on the midterm, because 35% is a big chunk of your grade. He cracks cynical and sarcastic jokes and keeps us awake. Sometimes his voice is really weird though!
Good guy, fair guy, funny guy, smart guy.
Easy class. Smart guy. Witty. The class was enjoyable.
he is a great teacher because he makes jokes during class which keeps you awake, yet i think he moved to fast for me because i was barely understanding one thing when he moved to the other and then i was completely lost.plus i hate math
He makes the concepts simple for everyone to understand and grasp. If you have trouble in math, he's a good teacher to have.
I never thought I would get an A in a math class but with this guys help it happened. Very chill and very helpful teacher.
THis class was way easy and the teacher was really funny. His lectures are really clear and easy to understand
VERY VERY easy..GREAT teacher. Makes the class fun. TAKE HIM!!!
Funny man!!!
I loved Ed. He was the best math teacher I have had of all time. I understod everything he was talking about, and it really got me prepared for my next math classes.
his tests were ridiculously hard. i har he is easy for math 2 but for this class....wooo! more than half the class either dropped, failed, or withdrew. he gives the worst possible questions on the tests! BEWARE!
Hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. Incredible sense of humor and an uncanny ability to connect with the line of thinking from students. Hell, probably the best of any teacher I've ever had.
He made a fool out of himself to make math as less scary as possbible, which is an unique and helpful way. His TA is fine, and lectures are very interesting.
Good teacher one of the best math teachers i have had ever.. makes class interesting by being funny.
migliore (pronounced mill-yor-ay, so you won't be caught saying his name incorrectly the entire quarter like i did) was pretty chill. hes clear most of the time and easy to approach if you have questions, but hates when people talk in class. hes also a pretty funny guy.
Umm, try and its easy. He's cool. Offer him some morning coffee sometime and money. lol :)
Ed is the only reason I ever graduated from UCSC. I took calculus 3 times and failed before taking his class, where I got an A. He made everything easy to understand and with his laid back surfer attitude and infinite patience I forgot I hated math. Best math teacher ever.
Best math teacher I've ever had. He's clear and concise. It's a pretty easy class too.
Ed is the best math teacher I've ever had. His lectures are super clear, easy to follow, and cover all the material in the book. His is open to any questions and homework load not too bad. Can't say anything bad about him and if you want a solid foundation in math take his class.

Super easy class. wasn't hard or anything and ed made it bearable.
This guy is great. Great sense of humor, totally laid-back style. He can take a complicated subject and break it down in a way that makes it relatable even to students who generally struggle with math. He isn't here every quarter, but I'd recommend him if you can get into one of his classes. Go Ed!

I cannot believe how lucky I am with Math teachers at UCSC. This guy is amazing. His lectures/syllabus are extremely organized and clear. The homework load is perfect. He is very helpful and attentive to students' needs. It actually looks like he enjoys teaching. He is also very funny. I always go to class because they are very much worth the ime.
It made math easy and almost fun. The homework load is just right and the math sessions really help to understand and apply the techniques he teaches.
This guys hates his job and won't hesitate to tell you that you are lazy and stupid. His test's are somewhat predictable if you do all the homework and teach yourself how to do the problems b/c his lectures are worthless, oh and did I mention he hates lecturing? He's a total jerk towards his students when they have questions. Try to avoid him!
He made the material even more understandable and clear than it already was; his humor kept me awake in lecture; he presents the material in an extremely organized fashion.
he wears sandals and old guys rule t-shirts, total old surfer, super relaxed and really chill. if you have up to pre calc in high school this class is cake. no big deal, the beginning half of the quarter is SUPER easy, second half gets tougher but no big deal. only bad part is that hwk is online and doesn't work on macs...only pcs.
Was disappointed in curve and grade, vague on certain topics. TA was really good, saved me on tests/HW. His 2nd midterm was friggin ridiculous and seemed to be his attempt at being difficult.
ed is awesome! for being a math class i was very entertained. He presents the material very straight forwardly. He has great quotes, you just have to listen for them.
His humor is super cynical, which is entertaining, but it gets really condescending and makes it sound like he doesnt want to be there. This is frustrating when you're confused by the math and just need someone to be patient with you and at least act like they care if you understand it. His teaching is okay, but he moves FAST in lecture!
Cool guy.
Ed kept the class interesting. He has a great sense of humor and communicated the material very effectively. I got a lot out of this class and I always thought I suck at math. I guess it just takes a teacher like Ed to make things click.
Ed is a GOOD teacher. He is funny and I think he organized the lessons very well and clearly. The sucky part of the class were the twice a week mandatory 2 hour sections. they were over-kill, however helpful. try not to get the 8am one like i did. so... don't be afraid- take math with ed!
Lecture was very clear and he did a good job of illustrating concepts with graphs and models. Section was helpful only if I was confused about something but otherwise kind of a waste of time. tests were pretty straight forward but in generel the more tricky of the types of problems were on there as opposed to more simple ones so that kind of sucked
Despite doing poorly in his class, I felt I learned a lot more than in 11A. He is for the most part a clear lecturer, and his jokes are very entertaining. However, he comes across as condescending and mildy abrasive when it comes to questions.
GREAT TEACHER!!!
His lectures were so boring. He gives lots of homework problems, and grades only the hardest ones. His tests are diffult. Effort does not matter. It is all about the points in his class (the midterms and final). He is unapproachable, as he brushes you off. Do not take a class with him. Take Jamey Bass's classes. Jamey Bass is really good.
Great guy. Very helpful. Easy to understand. Interesting class.
Best. Teacher. Ever. Though granted I'm pretty good at math, his tests are VERY easy. He gives out sample tests before and the real ones are just like them. He assigns homework which is very helpful in doing well. Lectures are clear, but you dont need to go to do well. Do the homework and go to class and you'll find yourself with an A.
Ed was super funny and kept his lecture entertaining.
Good teacher, I was able to understand what he was teaching.. unlike the situation I'm in NOW...
Loved Ed. Makes every math teacher I've had before this seem like they didn't prepare/didn't know what they were doing. Am excited to take 11B with him in the winter.
Great teacher. makes lectures very entertaining and easy to understand.
Migliore is probably the best professor I've had yet at UCSC. He actually made math FUN, he kept things interesting, and his expectations of his students were totally reasonable. He has a great sense of humor. Strongly recommended!!
He's a very good lecturer, very approachable, writing is a tad bit messy. If you actually listen to what he says in between all the math talk, you'll find that he cracks little jokes that keep the hour a somewhat entertaining. Very fair with tests and grading. I found this class easier than 11A.
HE IS AN AMAZONG TEACHER.... YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND THE EXAMS SHOULD BE PRETTY STRAIGHT FOWARD!
Entertaines you while he teaches. Clear and concise, but if you miss just one lecture, you will fall behind quickly. Midterms and Finals are pretty much spelled out for you, but you need to study none the less. Very much recommend him
Even though he told my class we were the worst he'd ever taught, I still thought he was a pretty good teacher. He was nice, but he wouldn't start lecturing until everyone was silent. His tests were fine as long as you went to lecture. Definitely the one of the better math professors I've had here.
Miglior and Baurle are possibly amongst the best math profs here. Miglior is funny, interesting, and great at explaining the material. Lectures and sections were so useful that the book was hardly necessary--> The book was a waste of money and the online hw prgram that came w/ it was not compatible w/ mac, a major pain. Otherwise a GREAT class!
Definatley the best, most understandable math teacher I have ever had. He actually made calculus really easy. DO NOT MISS CLASS, if you do you fall behind and going to class ensures that you know what you are doing. Tests were really straightfoward (if you went to class). Super entertaining and laid back guy.

Awesome professor. He's not intimidating at all and is really easy to approach to if you have any questions before or after class. Funny guy and gives amazingly clear lectures that are easy to follow. I can tell the professor genuinely cares that we understand the material. GO TO CLASS!
3 words: easy, helpful, and funny. He knows it's lecture class and understand people aren't math material, so he made it easier for people to understand in "very simple" way of explaining. And sometimes he puts on some jokes to keep people awake even the hints. HW is easy. Section are mandatory, but focus on reviews then you all set.
Clear and comprehensible; he helps me understand what is really going on.
Amazing teacher. He tells you what you need to know and and gives you losts of examples to do in class. He's straitforward. He wants you to know the math, he's not trying to torture you or pick at yourbrain. He's the best professor I've ever had the pleasure to have and he's amazingly kind.
Ed is awesome. I came into this class hating math. By the end I not only understood it, I also actually liked it. He slips in jokes during lecture and if you pay attention you'll be cracking up like i was. Also my TA Bryana is extremely hot so i never missed section :) Go to lecture and do the homework I got an A and was totally ready for math 3
Ed is most definitely a horrible 19B teacher. Lectures were horrible, though he is entertaining, going to lectures just made you more confused about an already confusing topic. His midterms/final were very hard and unfairly long and full of mistakes. Homework is hard and online. Take him for 11A or 11B (he's supposedly good) but avoid him for 19B!
An overall good calculus teacher. Funny, a little messy, but knows math. One time he did not proof read his test and screwed most of the class over, but besides that his tests were relatively easy compared to AP tests and other 19B teachers who I've heard were very hard. Math 19B is hard subject in itself but Migliore makes it wayyyy easier.
Ed is the best! He is aware if how the class is doing, and will slow down as needed. He explained things well, tests were fair, and he was usually barefoot on Fridays. Wish he were teaching 11B next quarter :(
He is very laid back. The key to doing well in his class, is go to class, and listen to his lectures. Lectures are funny, so it makes class easy to get through. Tests are fair.
He was cool. Funny guy. Let's you out early on Fridays.Tests were fair. Just study. DO HIS HOMEWORK. Homework helps you be prepared for his tests. His TA, last name Peterschmidt was a beezy. Hated her. Not useful.
He's the best math teacher I've ever had, he made me actually enjoy and understand calculus. I've never gotten an A before in math and with him I got my first. He's very clear and very simplistic; doesn't try to over-analyze math to show off how smart he is like a lot of math teachers do. Do homework, go to lec&disc and you'll do fine with him
Great teacher. Really funny. It's actually fun going to lecture because he enjoys teaching. He's happy to help. Best math teacher I've ever had.
Ed is definitely the best math teacher I've ever had. Super clear at explaining concepts. Lectures are really helpful.
Ed was a fun teacher! He put humor into math which made it less likely to hate yourself for not knowing. I disliked all of the homework but if it wasnt for the homework then i dont think i would of done good. He was a great math teacher and you should choose him!
He is seriously one the best math teacher's that I've ever had. He was very useful and extremely funny. He made math breathable. I highly suggest taking a class from him! =]
Ed is one of the best math teachers I've ever had! He makes everything easy to comprehend, even the more complicated lessons. I would definitely recommend taking a class with him!
Ed is very patient, articulate, and the way a math teacher should be: barefoot and with a ponytail! A rare down to earth approachable and nice professor.
HE IS VERY QUICK WITH HIS TEACHING, HE FINDS SHORT-CUTS TO UNDERSTANDING THE MATH, GOING TO CLASS IS VERY IMPORTANT. EVERY FRIDAY BEFORE THE MIDTERMS HE GIVES OUT HINTS ABOUT WHATS ON THE MIDTERMS. OVERALL HE LOVES MATH AND IS VERY MOTIVATED BY IT!
good teacher, very clear. really liked his class.
Definitely the best Math Professor I've had yet at UCSC. He saved my ass on the Final too.
Migliore was the best math teacher I've ever had. Lecture optional but I STRONGLY recommend it because his lecture style was fabulous. All of the exam questions come from his lectures. HATE MATH loved this class, it was amazing.
very whitty.. he cool
Migliore is the teacher who changed my opinion of math. He's a good lecturer, he's clear and he doesn't lecture on a bunch of confusing math theory. He knows how people learn calculus: throw practice. All he does during class is practice problems and they're actually really helpful.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I am so excited to be in his class again!Had College algebra with Ed and going to have him again next quarter for Math 11B. Hated math till this teacher taught me. He makes math that seems complicated seem so simple and easy. I highly recommend those who hate math to take him. You won't regret it.
Wow. I hate math but he made things pretty clear. I did well on Midterms but failed the final and ended up with a B. If you attend all classes you'll end up with a B or better unless you really don't focus
Great guy. Really funny and keeps you entertained. Material was kind of tough but i got Cs on midterms and final and ended with a B. Rarely did the hw too, probably could of got an A. Go to section thats where i learned almost everything
Awesome professor! Always go to his lectures...he gives hints. Exams are fair. Plus he's a funny guy. He wears a shirt that says "Old guys rule." He has a distinct voice as well. :)
He's hilarious. The best thing about Ed is that he'll say, "this problem will be on the final" or something similar to that. He's very helpful. I really enjoy his class.
First off I hate math and am horrible at it. However, I passed this class with a C. That sounds bad but I haven't gotten a C in math since grade school. Great prof! Scratch that, AMAZING prof. Cuts the BS out of lecturing and gets to the point. Has a sexy (though at times odd voice). Plus even though he's an older man he is hella fine!
Great teacher IF YOU USE HIM. He is more than happy to answer questions so when you get confused SPEAK UP. You are responsible for understanding wtf is going on. It's a hard class, and his lectures are best attended AFTER reading the section from the/a book because he goes fast and assumes you understand the context completely. YOU CAN DO IT fo sho
Probably the easiest and most helpful calc teacher you are going to get. Makes lectures funny, yet stays on track. Lectures straight to the point. Discussions and lectures aren't required. Material is definitely doable. Fair amount of homework, but not difficult by any means. If you show up, do homework, and review practice exams, you will excel.
Ed Migliore is avery laid back guy which carries over to his teaching style. He assigns a lot of homework, but he prepares you for the exams well. Exams are exactly like the practice exams he supplies.
He is a very funny teacher. He goes through a lot of examples in lecture and explains things really well. The tests are pretty reasonable. He gives out study guides which are very helpful. Don't buy the book, I never used it. Homework is all online and there's a button that teaches you how to do the problems so that's very helpful. Good professor!
I don't like the subject (Calculus w/ Applications), but Migliore made it easy to learn through examples and thorough explanations. He was also very approachable. I opened the textbook maybe once or twice - not worth the money. Do homework if you want to succeed in the class.
Very good professor. kept me awake through lecture. Grading system is confusing but don't worry, do the HW,review sheets and go over your notes and you'll be fine.
Migliore set up his grading/tests to reward those who put in effort. I have terrible algebra but got a B by doing all HW and studying early and hard to get the concepts. In this class they are very forgiving on algebra as long as you can apply the concepts correctly and speak intelligently about the material. Ed is one of my favorite profs so far.
Migliore is awesome!! i actually ENJOYED going to lecture, and his practice tests were EXACTLY like the midterm/final
This guy is great fore a math prof. He answers emails, has reasonable office hours, but the best part is he gives out harder questions on the practice midterms so you know what to expect, and can do it even better on the midterm. Def take him if you can.
gives lots and lots of examples without much of an explanation.
One of my favorite professors so far and he is actually entertaining in lecture. His midterms aren't that difficult really, his review sheets for the midterms are far more difficult. He assigns a lot of online homework though.
Great professor. His lectures were packed with information but also very clear. I wasn't sure about taking calc at first, but I ended up doing well because he's an awesome lecturer. Just go over your notes a lot for homework and tests. He's chill and has a good attitude. The TAs are iffy sometimes, so I would say go to his office hours for help.
Ed commands your attention, likes teaching, and loves math. Raised lots of kids, so won't put up with disrespect or noise. Tests were tough, and the final had some hard material that was not covered on the midterms, but was from way earlier in the quarter. But then 19B is a tough course, not really Ed's fault. If you go to lectures you should be OK
Ed is an outstanding professor who demands attention. Ed teaches both the 11 and 19 series, and he's incredibly easy for the 11 series! Yet,he's very rigorous with his 19 series students. Then again, 19 series is way more challenging than 11 series so, for those taking the 11 series, this class will be a breeze; if not then prepare for hell!
His lectures are very fast and don't always make sense. I got by in this class by going to tutoring and sections. I never really understood the lectures how he taught them, but you should still go. He is always willing to take questions after and before class. Nice guy, just a tough class.
He went really quickly through his lesson, which I understand is necessary in a quarter system, but I think he went a bit too fast and sometimes it was hard to follow and fully grasp what he was doing.
Migliore is one straight shootin cool dude. His class was totally fair, if you go to class every day, do all the homework and study (like you should in any class..) it's not too bad. 19 is hard though, a lot of people get lazy and think integrals is the end of it. you wont get off easy, it is a challenge, but a very fair class and prof in general.
A very good professor. If you do everything you are supposed to do, everything you signed up to do for this class - i.e., go to section regularly, go to all lectures, do problems from the book and all homework - you shouldn't have a problem, because Migliore tailors his exams to allow anyone who does the required amount of work to succeed.
One of my favorite professors so far, he's really engaging and passionate about the subject. He's straight forward and pretty much tells you how to do well in class, you just have to actually show up; he'll give you tips and his favorite problems. The last few weeks are challenging and whether or not you keep on it can and will define your grade.
Excellent teacher!! Don't necessarily expect to keep up with him in lecture, but scribble down your notes and look at them later and they'll be very intelligible and useful. He assigns a buttload of homework, which forces you to learn but is a major inconvienence. Overall, would definitely take more classes with him in the future.
BEST Math Teacher EVER! I had him for Math19B and again for Math22. He assigns A LOT of homework, but he makes it worth it towards your grade. HW is around 20 - 25% of your grade depending on which class you take with him. Math22 with him this quarter was great! He's funny, laid back, and fair with grading. You NEED TO study if you want an A! :)
The class is totally doable if you pay attention and dont yell UP at him, hes a little slow on the uptake with note placement sometimes. He is kinda a meany if you ask a stupid question, but remember kids there are no stupid questions, only stupid people. But really, great teacher and cool guy. Straight forward exams.
Best math teacher at UCSC. Had him for 19B and 22. Uses a lot of examples to make sure you understand concepts and how to solve types of equations. Doing homework is a must, both for huge chunk of credit and solidifies your understanding.
Great math teacher. I had him for 11a and 11b and he's awesome.
He is a funny straightforward guy. Enjoyable. Tests are hard. He only gave practice test for the first midterm and some practice problems for the second one and the final. The practice problems were not helpful! Curves not so great. Class is hard!
Goes through examples to help you understand tests. Straight-forward dude. Tests are harder than practice exams, but that's expected. No final review given. Watch out, he doesn't like cheaters; he will fail you.
His homework assignments take forever and his class is very hard.
He likes to keep it simple, and if you listen to him during lecture, you'll have a good understanding of the material, but you'll still need to do problems to prepare for tests.
Migliore is very down-to-earth and a decent lecturer. He walks the class through examples that are very similar to his tests. Exams are very straightforward if you do the homework well. Homework is not overwhelming.
Not an easy class, but if you work hard it is doable. I found him to be an entertaining guy. Lectures are of good quality and he wants you to understand the material rather then memorize formulas.
He's a decent lecturer. Tests aren't too hard as long as you do the practice exams, but they still aren't truly that easy either. He grades on a bit of a curve, so at the end, he adjusts the grades pretty nicely. It isn't too hard to pass his class.
He knows his stuff, he explains it as if it's easy, but still thoroughly. Homework is irritating, but tests were fair and close to the practice tests. Overall a good teacher. Better than Eastman.
at first his lectures seem pointless after you try to do the homework alone, but if you really listen to him he makes sense. his ta's were great and he was funny and enthusiastic about teaching. great experience.
useless, confusing, boring teacher. didn't learn a thing in his class and noticed i was fighting to keep concentration in his lectures. worst teacher ii've had in my three years here
While Professor Migliore is a decent lecturer and his tests are clear/fair, I couldn't stand his snarky comments. I think he's pretty disrespectful to students, especially those in 11A, but I guess if you can put up with that sense of humor/negativity you'll be fine.
Ed was great at clearly explaining concepts and going through steps to make everything understandable. He's hilarious if you actually understand and appreciate his humor. He's a no BS guy and some students are intimidated by that but I thought he was great and SO much better than my Math 3 professor, Berman. Do your homework/attend sections.
Take him for 11A! He explains math in a clear and easy way to understand. I like that he gets straight to the point and doesn't waste time on the little details that confuse people. HW is optional but I would still do it. His midterm was really easy and the final was hard, but doable as long as you really knew the stuff. Great professor!
Go. To. Class. I don't think I can stress this enough. I was lost at the end of the quarter because I skipped and had to learn everything by myself. Personally speaking, Migliore seemed like a nice guy and seemed open to discuss grades and material with students. Obviously if you struggle with math this class will be no different. But Ed's great.
He is never clear and explains everything in a confusing way. Don't take his class if you are not the type to self study all the time. He once has a sub take over his class everything was clean when the sub explained. I think it is just Ed that need to be more clear. I think his test are fair but you can not do well on them if you don't understand
Ed is probably one of the most awesome Math teachers in the whole department. If you pay attention and take notes, the class is pretty easy. His exams are also very straightforward.
If you fail math, take his class. If you want to get an A don't take this class. He hugely favors students that just want to pass. No curve for A and B students. And he acts like a couple points aren't a big deal in the grade. Had this tophat program instead of iclicker that didn't even work half the time. Attended 75% of the class and got 2/10.
He's very knowledgable but sometimes expects you to grasp the info immediately. Show up to class. It'll be worth it. Huge curve for less ambitious students. If you're striving for an A, it'll be tougher for you than for someone on the D's to get to a C. He's alright.
Migliore's teaching style is analogous to the English language. If I were to say (the big, fat, blue ball) you wouldn't know what all the first words were describing until "ball" Similarly, Migliore will randomly start deriving something elusive at the beginning of class making you EXTREMELY confused until finally giving you the formula.
Migliore is brilliant- but the sort of brilliant where he's too smart to be able to explain concepts well. He'll start off with ambiguous examples and eventually get to some concept or principle, but most of the class zones out before he gets to the punchline. Not a very difficult class, and dorky and lovable professor!
He's fair. The midterm was SO easy. The final exam had a few curve balls but as long as you study and keep up, you will be fine. Final is cumulative, but focuses more on the latter material. Don't skip class, if you do you deserve the grade you get. He's also pretty funny.
DO NOT take this class for 19A. If you have complete confidence in understanding and excelling in calculus 1 then go ahead and take 19A with Migliore, otherwise I strongly advise against his class. He had one midterm, section was mandatory, lecture notes were not posted online, sloppy unreadable (at times) handwriting. He fails most of the class.
I'm not saying it's a hard class, but he moves on fairly quickly. Just follow along with the book too and you should be able to understand the formulas. He does review before the midterm and he, or the TAs, grade somewhat generously (I got points even though I just derived a problem).
Migliore is very unclear and dispassionate in the 11 series. I had to rely on youtube and section to get by. Still go to class, because participation is 5% of grade (at least in my class), but just sit in the back and do something productive like your math WebAssign or watch helpful youtube videos. And go to section. This is how you do well.
He is very straight forward. Great teacher, awesome sense of humor. Most people complain about his handwriting but its readable. One midterm, its pretty easy. Second part of the class before the final get very confusing. Sections are mandatory but very useful. You have to put effort.
This teacher saved my interest in math. Explains things really well, tries to make the tests relatively easy; he's just checking for what you know. Go to lecture and go to section, you'll understand the material. Also he's funny and I think he's the bomb.
I think Migliore is a good teacher, however the way he teaches Calculus is pretty confusing. Honestly, I learned more in my sections and getting extra help from the internet, than I did in class. I always shown up for class, but I would always get confused. However, he is very funny and kooky which makes him interesting.
Avoid this teacher. He makes the average at 65%. So anywhere below that means you will fail regardless of how many students are below that too. He doesn't curve much. His test are worded weirdly but fair when you understand what he is asking for. His lectures are fast, not that clear and he does make mistakes. Only take if you understand withou Ed.
I didn't take math for two years and jumped back into it with this course, so I struggled at the start. On tests, the answers are not as important as the work. Forgetting small details can make you lose points easily. Once I figured that out, I was able to ace the final, so it's not that bad. Tests are straightforward and don't stress about proofs.
The worst professor I've had at UCSC. I'm a math minor so it's not like I'm not into it or don't get it. If you have the misfortune of getting him, make sure you get a nice book for linear algebra and self study. He will never explain the concepts, he'll just teach you how to do stuff in the abstract and if you've read the book, he'll confuse you.
Easiest math class I've taken thus far. Migliore doesn't waste time and is good at answering questions. My biggest problem with the course was that it was so easy and formulaic that it was hard to remind myself to do the work. The textbook he assigns can teach you everything you need to know without once showing up for lecture.
His class is the worst math class I have ever taken. I learned more from 19A when it was online than his lectures. His lectures are boring and unintelligible if you want to study. Self study is the only way to do well since he WILL NOT teach you.
Professor Migliore is really attractive but otherwise his class is unbearable. I'd rather just stare at him for a few hours than have to make it through one of his lectures. Not very helpful or interesting. He also doesn't seem to enjoy teaching very much.
He explains everything just to confuse you. You should get ready to read the book and self study as the book teaches more than he does. He only gives 5 tries to homework problems and expects you to learn from them. DO NOT TAKE MATH 19B WINTER QUARTER!!
Good things: no graded quizzes, in hindsight, the midterm was super easy (there's only one midterm by the way) Not good things: his teaching isn't great, he makes you buy iclickers so attendance is mandatory. this is a really challenging class, so i wouldn't take it with him, honestly.
Vector calculus is a tough subject. He taught well and at a good pace. The mandatory sections took up a lot of time but were very helpful and necessary. I did not do well on the midterm and somehow scraped up an A-. Do well on all the homework, show up for section, and go to class!
Good professor. I had him for Math 23B and Math 21. He can seem a little disorganized but his lectures are clear. His tests are not all that hard if you understand the ideas. He's always happy to answer questions. He was especially enthusiastic towards the end of the quarter for 21 when we were getting to the cool ideas like abstract vector spaces.
Be careful when answering a math problem out-loud during his lectures, he can make students feel bad if they get the answer wrong. His tests are very manageable. Generous, even. There won't be that many problems, so you'll have plenty of time to finish at your own pace. If you failed your midterm but passed the final, you can still pass the class.
Lectures can get very confusing. Missing a class isn't a good idea because you'll fall behind quickly. Attending sections is helpful though.
He goes really fast in this class and pushes you in the homework. His lectures do cover what's on the homework but it's not any easier. It doesn't help that he covers the hardest sections last so you have less time to learn it. His grading system is unclear and you don't know your grade until the end. Midterm and final is curved if needed.
Migliore is the professor who you want to respect. Few things to keep in mind: his handwriting is not the best, his lectures are a little bit unorganized, and the homework is really difficult. I am not a math genius so I spent a lot of time studying and got the grade I wanted. Take this class if you really want to learn.
Midterm and Final were extremely straightforward. Just go to class and you will do fine!
Migliore is okay. He seems to care more about math than students, and often explained things in overcomplicated and extremely hard to understand ways. The saving grace of this class was webassign, which had guides for every type of problem we had to do. Without that, I'm not sure I would have done so well. For the most part, tests are fair.
His letter is horrible and his final is very difficult, with an average of 60% of points earned by the class. His first exam is super easy. A lot of homework, like 20 exer every 2 days. Do all the homework and go to section which will give 20% of all points. TAs are helpful .
Professor Migliore is humorous and explains concepts well. The class is mostly slow notes and solving problems, giving students time to digest the material. While he complicates some explanations, he does a great job in simplifying problems. His tests are not difficult, especially if you attend class and do the homework. I really enjoyed his class!
Go to class, do his study guides, do the homework where you actually understand it and not because you want it to get it done. His test are straightforward.
Grades out of 200 points (midterm, final, hw, and section participation are worth a certain amnt of points). Doesn't curve. Not good at explaining. Not easy to talk to, as he comes off as rude and dismissive. Would pass on taking his class and take it another quarter with another professor. Got an A on midterm and C on final and got a C+ aka L O L
Hated that the class was at 8 AM. Sometimes, his explanations and proves of formulas are confusing, but the example that he give are extremely helpful. Those examples are so similar to the problems on tests. Got an A- on midterm and final. His curves depending on test averages are around 88% an A, 77% a B, 65% C. If thats not good, then...
Migliore is a nice guy and wants his students to succeed. However, his lectures are not helpful and you have to rely almost completely upon TAs and MSI to learn. He isn't great at explaining and the class itself is very hard if you can't focus all your time on it. His grading is fair, but he makes tests tricky. Overall, you get out what you put in.
Fantastic professor. Curves a lot for exams and overall grade. I enjoyed his teaching style despite his writing skills. I know many students don't like to go to office hours but that is what saved me this quarter.
Ed is an interesting professor. His lectures seem pointless, but really he makes clear the general topics the midterms and final will contain. Going to MSI, and section are critical if you never taken CALC before, but overall, tests are challenging.
Migliore is great. His lectures can get confusing at times since he likes to show proofs for everything. Definitely recommend MSI and attending section. Midterm was straight forward and super easy; the final was a little more difficult. Overall is a great professor though. He makes awesome sassy comments in class too.
This was my second time taking Math 11A, my first being with Eastman. I 100000% recommend taking Migliore's class over Eastman. He is a very clear lecturer and provides useful examples. He also provides study guides for the midterm and final that were extremely helpful. Make sure you do these and go to section!!
Easy class for an essay A, my high school calculus test were harder than his midterm and final. Study and pay attention it's an easy A.
Migliore is better than other math professors here at UCSC, but not without some flaws. He will go over a concept one day and never go back to it again, not even mentioning it. Beware of what you write on the test. I had the correct answer for a problem but still lost a third of the points because my work wasn't what he wanted to see. Slight curve.
Ed has a very specific teaching style and demeanor, that really works for some students and really doesn't for others. I found him really easy to understand and funny, and he's also very easily accessible outside of class. His grading on the tests is a little nit-picky but it's clear what he's looking for too. If you do what he asks, you'll be fine
Easiest Class
This calculus class is easy IF you PAY ATTENTION & have a good TRIG& ALGEBRA background. His midterm &final are mostly out of the notes & study guide. PAY ATTENTION when he says "This would be a good exam question" there is a high chance it'll be on the test. Does a lot of practice questions for you to know the topic. You also have to put in effort
Had him two times for both 11A and 11B, hated him the first time, liked him somewhat the second time. I seriously wouldn't have passed these classes if it wasn't for the TAs. The exams aren't necessarily hard, but he makes it hard because of his extreme harsh grading method. TRIPLE CHECK YOUR WORK BECAUSE EVERY LITTLE DETAIL MATTERS. He's funny tho
So I think Migliore is a very fair grader. He makes it clear what will and will not be on the test. If he gives an example of what might be on the exams he actually does put that exact same problem on the exam so go to all the lectures. He does NOT curve so you have to work for your grades. He has horrible handwriting, but he's better than Eastman.
Lectures are very dry but as long as you study from his study guide (midterm and final), you should have a solid chance of passing.
He may not be the most interesting professor, but he clearly states what he expects on the midterm/final. Has terrible writing (chicken scratch writing) but he is such a sweet soul.
This dude knows what he's talking about but he is terrible at delivery. He talks about certain subjects as if you were someone who is excellent at math and assumes you will catch on. He doesn't go through things thoroughly and often avoids students' questions and makes them feel stupid for asking it or not knowing. His writing is terrible too.
Ed teaches expecting you to have a good background in trig and pre calc. If you struggle with understanding math of course calculus is going to be hard.. which may make his lectures seem confusing if you're not paying full attention or putting barely any effort in. Do the homework and put his test reviews to good use and you'll be fine
Migliore is a very solid choice when choosing a math professor at UCSC, his lectures are clear and concise and his tests wont leave you reeling. That being said, he will still give ample homework and follows the same teaching/grading system he has been for years.
Writing is terrible. Lectures insightful but isn't thorough at all. Skips small steps and if students ask questions, sarcastically replies and doesn't take them seriously. Makes students feel dumb for asking. Expects students to know math very well. Final way harder than MT and no calculator or cheat sheet on tests. Go to MSI or teach yourself.
Migliore's lectures are dry, but he provides the resources you need to pass his class. I was able to get a C from only doing his practice midterm/final. If you want to get an A/B, make sure you understand the lectures and redo the hw repeatedly. My mistake was that I did not attend any class other than day 1, and the day of the midterm/Final.
Ed was a pretty solid lecturer first half of class. After the first midterm, it's integral applications, which are obscure and he tails off and goes on tangents during lectures. The first midterm is really easy. The final is really hard, but not impossible. Check the coursehero for hard examples and pickup as many section/hw points as you can.
Ed is a good lecturer and all of his exams were FAIR. He didn't put anything on there that he doesn't have on the practice midterms and finals. I've never taken a calculus class before this one and I managed to get an A+ with a bit of work. If you have trouble with the class go to MSI or office hours.
Took a W in his class because I couldn't learn anything from him. Be ready to try to teach yourself everything through the book. 3 out of 4 people I know who took it failed. He is a bad lecturer and doesn't really test on the main points, but instead on specific random stuff. Has a weird voice and super hard to follow- not organized. Uses chalk.
In class examples are usually on the test. Everything is crystal clear and Ed will grade fairly
His classes are a waste of time. He can't teach for his life. Take any other professor.
He doesn't go over and explain the steps in between math problems. Just makes classes confusing.
Migliore expects a lot from students so he isn't very sympathetic towards people who aren't doing well in the class. Be prepared to work hard because if you don't apply yourself you will not do well, and don't count on a curve or extra credit opportunities because there won't be either.
His test are worded weirdly but fair when you understand what he is asking for.
Ed cares more that his students come to understand the basic concepts of calculus than anything. His tests are very fair. Tests emphasize on the concepts more than testing your algebra skills (though this is very important too). Read the book or go to class, you'll do fine. Do both, you'll do great.
Hardest class I've ever taken at UCSC. Had to take it twice and I barely got the C on my second try. Took Migliore both times. I would not recommend him if you struggle with math. I worked so hard for this class but he assigns 3 homework a week with lots of hard problems. He seems like a nice guy but he makes it very hard for students to pass.
Migliore is not a very good lecturer, they are hard to follow and boring. His exams are a cakewalk because of that. If you're worried about passing calculus, take any course with this guy his tests are like high school level difficulty, and he even explicitly tells you they are
The material in 11 A is not difficult, but even with intense time and effort put into his class to make sure I really understood the material , I only received a C. I was really confident in the material but because the tests are free response, 1 or two points off on each question, due to small mistakes, got me from a B to a F on the final.
I was going to take a W in this class after FAILING THE MIDTERM HORRIBLY. His class is on a point system and he does not curve for anything or anyone. I was determined not take this class again so I started going to MSI and using the textbook to study for the final. GO TO MSI YOU WILL LEARN more than you think if you go consistently each week. :)
UCSC doesn't have the best professors when it come to calculus, and Ed Migliore is the most consistent professor offered for Math11a and 11b. His class is much easier if you already have some background in calculus, but he is very strict about his grading. No curves for anyone, and it all based on points. He's very homework heavy.
Gives WAY too much homework, expects you to do 20+ HARD problems on average every 2 days
One of the better Math professors on campus. He sometimes is intimidating in class but is known to be very focused and kind one on one. He really cares that you understand the subject and improve over the quarter, so if you do terrible on the midterm but pass/show improvement on the final, you should pass if you've completed hw and gone to section.
Taking this class as an 8am is not the best idea. Attendance wasn't mandatory but lectures would probably help. Gives a lot of homework and homework is due every Mon, Wed, and Fri night usually. Section is mandatory and test scores impact your grade heavily. Santa Cruz in general does not really have great math professors :-(
I honestly didn't even go to lecture for most of the quarter, but whenever I actually did, I had to sit through a boring lecture and his bad handwriting. Homework is due every other day. Section is mandatory and there are quizzes every other week that affect your grade.
I wouldn't have passed this class if I didn't take calculus in high school. Ed is a great guy and a solid teacher, but his lectures are kinda boring. Section attendance is mandatory and the tests are completely free-response.
Had to take him twice for 11a and 11b. The first time around was terrible. I couldn't learn anything from his lectures, so I just taught myself from the book and barely passed. For 11b I felt like I knew how he wanted you to answer things and did better but still wish he was more clear on what would be tested on. Use the book!!
This professor is very boring and has the most awful handwriting. 8 A.M classes doesn't help either. Sections are mandatory, but lectures are not. There's a LOT of homework, so be ready to do 30+ calculus problems every 2 days.
Lecture's aren't very helpful and there was a couple questions on the midterm that had not yet been covered in class (which was super annoying). Ed's pretty funny and seems like a nice guy but not a great lecturer, although its obvious that he knows his stuff. Homework's not too bad, sometimes its pretty heavy but other times its super light.
Bless Ed. He's a good guy lecturing a class of 400. Because of this, though, homework is through WebAssign, and questions are through Piazza. There's usually at least two assignments per week, with an average of 20 questions each. Make sure you remember EVERYTHING, from this class and from pre-calc -- you never know what will come in handy.
midterm 35% of grade (multiple choice), final 50% (written + multiple choice), section 5%, hw 10%. Teacher seems to be more helpful in person than during lectures, which are very fast paced if you don't review the text on your own time. Ask the TAs for help, MSI isn't worth it. Test is straightforward, HW is harder. Ask other students (piazza).
For my class, he made the midterm very easy and the final very hard. We used webassign for the homework and some of the homework assignments were hard and some were easy. I would say that you should make sure that you get a good TA for the lab. Overall, you should attend his lectures and not take his class lightly. He is funny and knowledgable, tho.
Great lecturer, but you really have to show up to lectures and pay attention to get anything out of the class. Doesn't post lectures online, and usually only answers questions from the front section. Gives fair tests and doesn't curve.
Midterm and final were much harder than he prepared us for, the lectures didn't help at all for the homework or the exams, and also didn't seem to care if you passed or failed
Be Optimistic. I made several mistakes in the easy midterm but earned a very high grade in the relatively hard final. Work hard. Good Luck!
A very good teacher. His classes are always full of laugh. A little bit fast on lecture but you can catch up at the discussion section. Homework is harder but not too much. But exams really worth a lot. The good thing is he only tests those basic cases instead of special ones.
Lectures are a snoozefest and his handwriting is abysmal. The midterm was fair I thought. The final was way hard.
Ed really doesn't go into much detail in his lectures about why things are way they are. He also expects you to learn things all on your own and can be harsh when you don't know the things he believes you should know.
Ed is a really cool guy. Although the material can be quite difficult, his lectures are pretty clear and hell make you laugh from time to time. His grading is pretty straight forward, just make sure you go to class and do the work.
Class was difficult. Went to every lecture though it was optional. He doesn't love to curve, but will and did for Fall 2018. Got a C+ in the class after the curve, but he gave me a B- I think because I studied really hard and did better on the final than my midterm, so that's a plus. Overall, he's ok. Over $100 for online book and HW.
Horrible professor worst I have ever had at UCSC. Hes rude to students and shows no respect to them on an in class setting. Does not know his own point system changed it the last week of the quarter which dramatically changed my grade. I passed but still. I dont know how hes still a professor here with his poor attitude and disrespectfulness.
Ed is sort of sassy and not really helpful if you ask questions in class. Concepts are presented clearly though and the homework isn't too bad. Tests aren't very long/hard and multiple choice. Section is required but really helpful.
Easy if you have already taken calc. Not as easy if you have not as he does make assumptions that you are familiar with certain concepts. He still explained concepts fairly well though and If you go to section and put in work you should be fine. his tests are the easiest math tests I've taken in college so far. Good amount of homework.
Despite his dreadful handwriting, Migliore is overall a good professor. For Fall 2018, we used WebAssign to do the homework and could ask questions about the homework/course on Piazza. The breakdown will likely be 45% Final, 40% Midterm, 10% Homework, & 5% Participation (Aka Attending Section). Doesn't like curves, but will do it if necessary.
Lectures aren't bad but he can over explain concepts which makes them way more confusing than they are. Reading the book is good a supplement.
Solid choice for a first year math class. Go to class because the examples he gives during lecture always end up being on the exams. He recently changed his midterm style by making it all MC and adding a 2nd midterm. Beware of cramming the night before, and make sure to look at the resources he gives for exam practice.
I really enjoyed Ed Migliore, its a shame he got into a traffic accident halfway through the quarter and that affected a lot of students. His lectures are clear and concise with plenty of examples so you will understand what hes teaching. Homeworks are tough and not something you can finish in one night (atleast for me) so start on it early.
Ed's teaching style is essentially showing rather difficult concepts during lecture, medium difficulty questions on homework (do the homework it really helps) and medium questions on the exams. I found his auditory-teaching style enjoyable but understand its not for everyone. Respected and pretty entertaining prof.
Horrible professor, no sympathy for students what so ever. During the pandemic we are STILL forced to use the Proctor U even though it has very bad feedback.
Terrible instructor that can't write clearly to save his life. I almost had him for math 22 and once i saw a different teacher (he was in an accident and didn't teach for the quarter) I was so happy that I wouldn't have to suffer through his unhelpful lectures. Avoid him at all costs.
He's not a good professor, period. Confusing lectures and doesn't explain well. I took him spring '20, right in the beginning of Zoom U, and he refused to adapt to any of the students needs during the pandemic until the very end. Forced to use proctor u. Did give ample opportunity for extra credit if you participated in "lecture."
The only reason I got an A was because I did a lot of self study and referred to resources apart from the ones Ed gave. His went in circles about stuff completely irrelevant to what shows up in the exams. You ask him a question, he won't directly answer it. He might know math well but he seems to care more about rubbing that in than teaching.
Migliore and the other profs teaching the class don't do much to teach the concepts. You have to self-learn as their lectures are irrelevant and unhelpful. The main issue though is their use of ProctorU, an invasive and problematic proctoring service that even lead to some students failing the class. Despite many complaints they refuse to budge.
All the profs basically ghosted us. They rarely interacted with the students. I DON'T recommend this class. All they give you is a textbook to pass the class. Math textbooks are always confusing. The class was a lot of self studying! Prof's lectures do not help. This class was very time consuming and a very upsetting experience.
Unbelievable that he still has a job. He does the absolute minimum and snaps at what he thinks are "dumb" questions which are perfectly valid. You have to self teach and he only confuses you more so I wouldn't even go to class. He doesn't clarify anything he's doing in his miserable lecture videos and doesn't follow the syllabus. HORRIBLE teaching.
Most confusing class I have ever taken because of the unorganized and unclear structure. We had to watch pre-recorded lecture videos (which were difficult to follow and not helpful) and could attend optional 8 am meetings for extra help. Ed is old-fashioned and simple so don't expect compassion or detailed instructions. ACE saved me!
I expected him to accommodate his students despite this course being taught online but all of the lectures are just recorded classes from 2019 back when classes were LIVE. it's been tough trying to engage in the material for this class because lectures r 3 times a week and are all an hour and 5 mins long PLUS the scheduled class times. pain
He really does the bare minimum to help the students and your homework is only worth 12% of your grade, the other 88% is just our midterm and final.
Took this course online and only watched the recorded lectures and it wasnt bad. I am good at math so i understand how this class can be difficult to others BUT he wants you to watch the recorded lectures then go to class with questions for clarification which i thought was cool. He also has a lot of dry humor jokes which i loved, cool prof tho :)
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. He does not help his students and just expects them to know the material when he doesnt even teach it. Its funny youd think a teacher would be understanding and accommodating but for Ed that just isnt the case. All his lectures are rushed and he expects students to teach themselves based off of other videos hes done.
WARNING! DO NOT TAKE! Does NOT help his students, doesn't reply to emails, and uses pre recorded lectures from past quarters. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Class was difficult and the professor wasn't very helpful. He used recorded lectures from previous years to cover the material, but not very clearly. Class time was used mostly to answer questions about the hw/material. Also, your grade is pretty much entirely tests. Only reason I did well was because I took calc in hs and the TA was really great.
He has very clear and strait forward instructions about homework and exams, but isn't very flexible. 85% of the grade was from the midterms and final, so make sure to study the practice exams/other practice problems.
No offered extra credit despite the class average being low for our midterm 1 (67%). There are 2 midterms + a final, you are graded based on this and WebAssign H.W. I wouldn't say that he's a 'bad' teacher but he isn't particularly good/helpful either. Like most classes, you are more likely to learn things off of YouTube/ get help from a good TA.
Professor was a good manhe always answer our questions in discuss group. Howeverhis class is more independentmuch of the self learning materials. But if you finished all HWs and practicesyou will get a good grade on his class.
Overall, a very well run course - content was of moderate difficulty but that's what you should expect if you're taking a vector calc course. Biweekly quizzes and weekly readings/homework assignments. The midterm was similar to all the quizzes but the final took me by surprise. Half of the final covered theory which was a bit difficult and new.
Ed provides a very good introduction to calculus. He structures his curriculum so you don't get overwhelmed. Very encouraging, very communicative. Don't procrastinate, and you'll be fine.
I won't recommend you take this course because he set it up asynchronous and you won't get help from his email or personal meeting. He always uses the Macmillan Learning Tools and you have to pay for the textbook (Yes, not for free or open source!!!). Basically, your progress is self-taught without any help from him.
The whole class was done though online videos and textbook, both of which did a poor job at explaining things. I essentially learned all the content by watching other videos, mostly by mitopencourseware. Besides this he is almost entirely Inaccessible, and won't explain things as easy as how partial credit is given.
Course was quite easy because it was fully asynch, and used an online textbook that gave unlimited tries on homework. Quizzes and midterm were very similar to the homework. Lectures were moderately helpful and provided a start for homework, but also didn't cover everything & were drawn out. Easy A but not a good class for learning/retaining info.
Do not recommend. Fully asynchronous with lectures that don't cover most of what's on the homework. Had to watch other videos and he would drag out his videos when he didn't have to. You have to basically teach yourself without him helping you at any point.
DO NOT take this class asynch if you are looking to actually retain any information. The lecture videos provided give no foundation to any of the topics, you have to watch youtube videos to learn. Basically paying thousands to teach yourself. You also have to pay $70 to turn in the homework, no way around it. Overall do not take this class online.
Took him for Math 19b and it was fairly easy. The written hw was kind of difficult but its only worth 6% of your grade so if you don't do well its not that big of a deal.
Always take online math, really easy class if you do the homework on time. The quizzes are the same questions from the homework and the final and mid-term. Amazing professor, i guess.
It was online, so there was little to no interaction with students, but on Piazza (used for students to upload questions/have them answered by the teaching group), he was short with students, answered questions with the least amount of words (which was confusing), and was arguably a little rude (all I have to base on him). Class fine I guess :/
A self-taught course where the professor is hardly accessible. We used Piazza as our platform to post questions related to the homework or classroom logistics, where students were often met by short, dry or combative replies. the reader is the only useful resource in this class. Pair this with YouTube and you will pass.
You're basically teaching yourself, the lectures posted are barely any help (some helped). Usually three homework a week and a short quiz every two weeks. There is written homework sometimes and it's wayyy more difficult than regular homework.
Pretty easy math course as long as you stay on top of work. Very predictable and consistent structure throughout with no surprises. Profs were fairly hands off but were there if you needed them.
Make sure you don't fall behind. Even with resources like Piazza, I felt like my learning wasn't too well supported.
This class was online and asynchronous, so there isn't much about the professor as a teacher, but his class was easy. There was a lot of work, since I had to teach myself the concepts, but everything is online and the tests and exams are not proctored. There are some assignments where work is required and you need to submit a pdf of homework.
Online class, the professor pretty much isn't a presence, but the video lectures are helpful and generally cover everything you need to know, with good examples. Tests and quizzes are almost identical to the homework, and pretty sparse. Very manageable class, just make sure to not save everything till the last minute.
Professor Migliore was involved in the class only as the voice of pre-recorded lectures, in which he did a good job. Overall the class was challenging at times, but due to the online nature of the work was not too bad. The online format was difficult to motivate around, but it's not a bad way to just knock out the credit.
The class is online and work has unlimited attempts it's so not too difficult to get full credit on homework assignments. I would not recommend taking this class if your goal is to deepen your understanding in calculus because the textbook can be difficult to understand and Migliore is virtually inaccessible and his feedback on piazza is useless.
Class was pretty easy. Midterm and Final were much more conceptual than homework and quizzes. Written homework assignments were graded very tough. Professor was basically absent throughout the class. He would respond to Piazza posts, but often pretty rudely. Did have lecture videos but the lecture videos were not very helpful.
Homework doesn't take long and the professor is pretty chilll.
The 19a,19b, and 23a classes are all in the same format. Everything is on Achieve with weekly hw, 4 quizzes, and exams hosted on there, plus 3 written HWs which can be tricky but only are 6% of your grade. Little interaction with prof, but TAs on piazza are helpful. Good class if you self-teach and just want credit, bad for deep learning.
Online class was just lecture videos, often rehashing stuff from the rather bad textbook. Terrible if you actually want to learn (0 information retention), not too bad if you want to pass. Occasional written homework assignment that can have some pretty nasty problems, and tests were surprisingly conceptual for such a blandly-taught class.
Homework and material was all online, easy A if you just did the work, the exams were exactly like the Homeworks and review, including midterm and final exam. If you ever need help, there are TAs that have ample sections, or you can just watch youtube.
This online math class was self-paced, with predictable assessments. Staying on top of the work is key, as the professor is not very accessible. Unstuckstudy AI and the textbook were helpful for understanding concepts on my own.
Dude was oblivious weirdo
