Great Class. Only gives essay exams, but he gives you the questions on the first day of class. All you have to do is answer the questions on note cards and bring the cards with you on the day of the test. He also requires an oral presentation- very essay. Got an A in both classes. Highly recommend driving to Oak Hill for class at Pinnacle.

TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE! I thought it was going to be some super difficult internet class at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE. But the class was actually not bad at all. His tests are pretty easy! The best advice I can give about those is TAKE THE PRACTICE TESTS! They are VERY helpful! He's a nice guy, I had a problem and he was quick to respond and helpful too!

Took this class online... AWESOME! In my experience, distance learning is usually much harder, but this class was a BREEZE! A discussion over each chapter read (10) and 4 exams. Take the practice tests provided and you will ACE the exams easily! Even though it was easy, I learned a TON! Text is super easy to understand!

P.S. Distance learning exams are 25 questions and multiple choice. The only downside is you have to take them in a testing center which requires a little schedule manipulation if your not single or your life involves more than school and work. BUT... it's understandable... too many dishonest people around today.

I liked his tests, since they were essay and you got to write them all out before hand, which meant that you didn't have to actually study for the tests. I thought that having to do a present wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed this class because he would always talk about current things that might be going on. I would reccommend this teacher to anyone.

The whole class is just discussions and arguments. Even if I just listened to everyone, I liked it. It wasn't boring. His exams are essays. All the questions were given at the beginning of his class so you can do them ahead and just copy them during test time. There's no reason not to get an A.

Boring lectures. Exams are essays that you are allowed to write ahead of time, copy word for word to notecards, then copy in class to paper. One easy presentation to class. Only reading necessary is to write essays. Only reads your first page and grades essays based on length. Super boring class but super easy A.

Sometimes he comes off harsh, but he is always fair. Tests are essays, but you know all of the questions beforehand. Every student is required to give a 5 minute presentation to the class. Professor Mullen was an okay professor. His chapter reviews are pretty long compared to the tests. It's also a little confusing because he will add chapter reviews for chapters we don't "discuss." Do all the discussions and focus on the practice exams. 4 multiple choice tests, 25 questions. Emailed him once and he responded within a day.

Great professor! You wont NEED the book but it's worth having, and you can bring note cards for the tests. His lectures are entertaining and always pertain to the topic of the day. He's likable and is generally non-biased, especially for the tests. Debates are welcomed as well. 10/10 recommend and would take again.

Dr. Mullen's exams are extremely easy-if you prepare the way he shows you. Yes, he does you how to take his exams. I'm not being sarcastic, either. He has many stories to tell, and even though he may go down a rabbit hole once in a while, he easily gets caught up. There is a lot of reading, and it's impossible to get it all done. Worth every penny.

I recommend this class if you like to teach yourself or if you are comfortable writing many essays in the span of a week or two. This class is not for students who need structured lectures or prompt feedback because you will not receive either. The textbook is included and you will have to use it occasionally. I highly recommend his online classes.

Research the topic well, provide sources, and you will do well. There were no exams in this class, but I suspect a full 16 week semester will likely have them. This professor is worth taking.

Great professor in the sense that it's pretty easy to pass. No real grading criteria but not difficult to understand. This is the 2nd class I took of his. Made an A+ in both. You don't really have to read the txt book but you MUST do research on your own. Each week he posts a question and you must provide your opinion backed with citations.
