This is my third year with online courses, and here are my criteria for a good professor: begins the course with clear goals; has organized lesson plans; creates engaging discussion questions that solicit thoughtful answers; is engaged directly; and is easily available and willing to help. Professor Rush "batted 1.000" in my opinion.

I just took him for business writing. He is great at responding back within 24 hours. I'll my emails were returned within few hours. His assignments are not difficult at all and easy to understand. I would definitely take him again and I recommend him 100%!

Great Professor!

Professor Rush was very helpful and would respond to emails quickly. This class wasn't too tough, just do the work and you will be fine. He is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. The course includes 4 multiple choice tests that can be challenging. A research paper, and few other short essays and discussions each week.

Weekly reading, discussions and bi-weekly non-proctored exams. The exams have one attempt. Three assignments worth >100 pts. They're not hard as long as you follow the rubric. I learned a lot in this class but wasn't overloaded with work. Definitely recommended.

Professor Rush graded quickly and fairly, gave good feedback, and answered any questions I had. One of the assignments was supposed to be turned in on another site and he have me another chance to turn it in correctly after the deadline. Not and easy A but do you assignments and you'll be fine.

Be sure to have a book to help you with quarterly exams. There is a big paper too but it isn't too bad. The work is pretty straight forward. Not a hard class at all.

This instructor was very good. He provided a lot of assistance when blackboard was not working properly and was understanding too. Text is required to do assignments correctly. Most of your work consists of discussion boards with the occasional paper. I would definitely take a course with him again.

I took this Business class online and it was not a hard class at all. Just make sure you have the book and you're good. Tests are easy (if you have the book and study) and discussion boards are easy as well and very interested. This class will really get you thinking hard about the professionalism in the work field.

I took Business Writing online with Professor Rush. His expectations were clearly outlined. Book needed in order to do well on quizzes. Easy class to pass if you do the work and meet the deadlines. I would definitely take him again.

All I can say to anyone who needs this class, take this Professor. His Syllabus is clear cut, he grades fast and the course load is very manageable. All you have to do is follow directions and do the work. 8 discussion boards, one 6 page paper Apa, 8 quizzes, and a cover letter and resume. Take the class you won't be sorry. I learned so much!

I took this professor course during the Summer term in a 7wk online course. The workload was completely manageable and the exam questions came directly from the book. But with any online course you have to be self discipline. Pay attention to the due dates on the syllabus. I missed a DB because I got complacent with the structure of the class.

I took Professor Rush for a 7-week online course in Business Communication and he was very fair. I was not a fan of the Discussion post required every week (1 week we were required to complete 2) but the assignments were manageable.

I took 7 week online course this summer term with professor Rush. The assignments are manageable just don't wait last minute to do it, because he was very fair. Upset with myself that I missed one of the big assignment since due date was on Friday instead of Sunday, so pay attention to HW due dates. Good luck!

Business writing is one of the more boring subjects to learn about, this online class was a breeze and Professor Rush well to be accessible and explain what is expected of students. There is one significant research paper and two simple one page assignments. Late policy of 10 points off per day. That is pretty much it would recommend.

For a 7-week online class be prepared for a heavy work load weekly 2 chapter readings, discussions, assignments, 1 essay and 4 quizzes. Quiz questions are confusing. You MUST read the book, Quizlet will not help you in this class. Overall, I would take him again. Stay up on your due dates and you should pass the class.

Professor Rush was very informative and helps you to understand to communicate across various levels of the organization. It's particularly helpful and giving you insight on how to draft, deliver and respond to good, bad or neutral requests.

This is by far the best professor at FSCJ do the work you will pass.

Professor rush is a wonderful teach I wish I put a bit more effort and I would have gotten an easy 100 plus extra credit. Completely fair and respectful teacher he will respond an email quick.

I would absolutely take his class again. He makes it easy to take more than one class at a time. Honestly I turned in a discussion late one time and he didn't even penalize me. However, he does take his time grading. But this could be a good thing if you are like me and make mistakes sometimes.

Great teacher! I would definitely take another course with him. Very informative and makes you think. My first APA paper I had to write I was sacred and not sure if I was doing it right, but he guides you and helps you through it. The APA manual is a must and helpful.

Professor Rush is a great online teacher. His syllabus is straight forward and easy to follow. Discussions only require 2 days to post so that I can do all of my work on the weekend instead of during my work week and consist of one thread and 2 replies. Tests are one try, 25 questions in 1 hour time limit.

This class was one of my first business classes and he was very helpful and understanding. A lot of writing and reading though. The exams were not hard if you read. The professor was also very detail oriented and graded fair. I wouldn't take this class in the beginning and especially if you aren't a good writer.

Solid class, clear expectations. Need to put in the work for the grade, but can be done with ease. Considered an "easy" course by advising group, they weren't wrong. Not too much to manage in 7 weeks.

The professor could be more specific as to what format he is looking for in the APA paper... you're instructed to buy an APA manuel book which is 300+ pages and no page numbers to reference for formatting.
