Professor Rush is one of the two very best instructors I have had in college. He has a genuine desire to teach. He is responsive and accessible. He is very fair. I would recommend him to anyone for any course he is teaching!

Professor Rush does not change the requirements of good business writing to please the class; he encourages and gives you the necessary knowledge to help you meet the standard of good communication through business writing. If you cannot communicate effectively with others through writing, you will not keep your management job long!

Great teacher. Very nice and helpful. Easy A, only need 550 pnts for an A, and 200 points are from participating in disc boards. Test questions can be somewhat subjective, but are open book. He lets you know what is expected in your essays, no reason not to get a great grade.

Grading is fairly strict as he chips away at specifics. Tests are open book but timed (30?s in 1hr) and cover extremely detailed info straight from text (tests hard and info extraneous). Prof very thorough, clear about requirements and quick to grade/respond. Not an easy course but certainly passable.

This was a writing class but felt more like a business communication class. 5 Tests, email, memo, letter, APA Research paper, and weekly DB. Gives credit for doing the DB. Grades somewhat strictly on writing assignments but not too bad. The tests are a pain and answers are difficult to find from the text. Not a hard class but the tests are a pain.

I enjoyed Mr. Rush. The assignments & DBs were applicable. A robust lecture & occasional group work in the classroom would have made the course more interesting. I had difficulty with the exams & in my opinion, the questions were worded in a way that was confusing & the distractors required interpretation of the text. An A is very doable.

Given the option, I would take one of his classes again.

Professor is a fair grader and quick with responding to any questions. Class consists of 4 exams, 7 discussions, 3 smaller assignments, an oral presentation which he lets use you use a narrated PP for and a research paper. This is college, put the effort in in this class and you will learn a lot and pass easily. Definitely recommend taking him!

Great professor overall

The class itself was hard. There is a lot of reading and tests every 2 weeks. There is also an introduction email, memo, and 6 page paper due. Every week there is a discussion post and you must respond to 2 different people on different days. Overall, put the work in and you will be fine!

Professor Rush was a tough but fair grader. I would take him again because he was very easy to understand. Also, he responded very quickly to emails which seems to be a rarity at FSCJ. As long as you do you work and take the time on the papers you will get at least an B if not an A in the class.

Professor Rush was a great professor, especially for an online class. Make sure you follow the syllabus, turn in all assignments on time, and read all the class announcements - If you do all of those things you'll be fine. You will use the books - Course consists of 8DBs, 4 Assignments, and 4 Online Exams. I've learned a lot of great information!

There were 8 discussion boards, 4 Exams, 4 writing assignments. When doing the writing assignments make sure you follow the correct outline. Great professor I would take him again.

Professor Rush was very organized. His syllabus was precise and I always knew what was expected of me. I read every chapter that was assigned so the tests were not too difficult. Anytime I had a question, the professor was quick to respond. I would take his class again.

The work is straight forward and the expectations are clear. If you have a decent background in English Comp, this is an easy A. On top of that, the professor is caring and the content is useful and pertinent to today's business world. Overall great class! I'd totally take this professor again.

I took the 7 week course. It had a fair amount of work. Weekly mandatory discussions, quizzes and assignments due on alternating weeks. He grades fairly and answered the phone every time I called.

Took the 7 week online class. Fairly straight forward grading and assignments. Would like to see assignments opened up earlier however. Makes it easier for working parents.

Took business writing online over 8 weeks. Just do the coursework and stay up to date and youll get an A.

Professor Rush was a great professor that I would highly recommend to anyone. All of the information and due dates were very clear and organized. He graded in a timely manner and provided helpful feedback. Great Class!

Professor Rush is a really good professor. He answers emails really quick and almost all your questions can be answered from the syllabus. As long as you follow the calendar of activities, you should be fine.

Four writing assignments, the most work was an APA ethics paper. 4 multiple choice tests. If you do the reading assignments, the tests are not bad, but if you don't, they can be tough. Grades fast, and gives good feedback on assignments. Discussion boards are interesting topics, but work can add up quickly, especially if you take the 7 week class.

One of the things I liked most about professor Rush is that he is a fast and fair grader. To succeed in his class follow the syllabus, and read all the announcements since he does provide insight on whats coming up the following week. Course consist of 8 discussions with 2 peer reply's each, 4 online exams and 4 writing assignments.

Professor Rush has designed this course for success. I work full time, so online classes are meant for me to create my own schedule. The assignments were clear and I didn't need assistance. I would DEFINITELY recommend this Professor.

He is very clear in his expectations to pass the course. If you require extra attention, he is extremely helpful (during and after hours). His course content is relevant, which makes it more interesting. I highly recommend you take his course.

If you do the assignments the way the descriptions are written out, it's not hard at all to get an A. You do have to read the book but the chapters are super short and easy reading. It was a great class to take over the summer!

Edward is a by the book grader. I lost 6 points on a discussion because I didnt repsond to 1 out of the two students I was required to respond too. If you do the work and put effort into the course, you will pass.

Gives extra credit and plenty of time on the exams. Discussions are easy as long as you have credible sources. The research paper was 6 pages including the cover, abstract, and references.

We followed the syllabus and as long as you turn your work in on time every week you will pass the class. The discussions werent hard and he is an easy grader when it comes to assignments.

I would not hesitate to take him again and felt that i learned a lot this semester that will not only help me in future coursework but in a professional setting as well. Professor Rush, Is very quick to respond even after office hours. He's very fair. You must respond to discussions-if you forget, as I did once, it'll cost you a good amount of points. His class will benefit you no matter what your degree will be in. Communication is extremely important, I learned much more than I thought I would.

Great instructor, would definitely take again. Make sure you follow the syllabus to the letter, he spells it out for you on how he wants things done. Quick email responses and always willing to help. You will get out what you put in this class, not an easy class if you are not willing to apply yourself.

Due dates are solid. Points will be deducted for late submissions. Make sure to stay on point, especially in the 8-week class.

Professor Rush is an amazing professor. As long as you do your work, you will pass his class. Exams are online and are like 25 questions on every exam. The only thing you have to really focus on is your writing a paper but everything is easy. All assignments are due online. He's very understanding and if you need help he will assist you.

This class very good. The discussion topics were from real life. No matter how much or little you participated you always get something out of class. He is open to questions even if you feel like your questions are stupid. Very easy going teacher that will take the time to explain things if you do not understand.

I am a full-time banking associate and mother. I took the 7 weeks summer class and i am very confident that i passed. I want to look him up and take every class he teaches for my major!

Professor Rush is one in a million, in my book. He is very thorough in his requirements and expects everyone to do well, but in turn he is very helpful, responds to emails in a timely matter, and goes the extra mile to help you if you are struggling with an assignment due. I recommend him most definitely and would take again for certain!
