Teacher will make you work for your grade. Good luck on getting an A. The class was ambiguous at first but after the midterm it was clear on his test requirements. More is better for the essay questions make sure you write at least 2 pages/question. Good class

This class is a lot of work, but very interesting! Professor was great and expectations were appropriate for graduate level course. Will definitely take class with him again!

Very difficult and demanding. He wants you to right a 2-3 page paper summarizing each chapter of the book for "home work". That 23 papers before you do any course work. An insane workload.

Best professor I've had online. He is tough and demands lots of work, but I will tell you, after you are done with his course you are pretty prepared to apply what you learn in the real world. A very atypical professor. More like a business colleague.

GREAT INSTRUCTOR! As long as you ask when you have a question. He is a little slow to respond but he usually does well and will help in any way that he can. The topics he covers are great and interesting. I have taken 3 courses from this instructor and I wish I could take him to the next class, but I can't. His classes are by no means easy.

Didn't find him to be that hard at all. Wasn't a push over, but by no means was he that hard. A little slow grading, but was very fair in the db's and assignments.

Definitely requires graduate level work and answers. Use journals and real life examples (businesses) in posts and assignments. If you think your answers are too short, it's b/c they are (especially on the exams)! And he will doc you for it! He told me he doesn't like giving 100's, just fyi.

Dr. S. is an exceptional Prof who teaches not from the Ivory Tower, but from a real-world practical business standpoint. He treats students more like business colleagues versus subordinate students. He is very demanding, but that's what makes us better prepared. Always willing to work with you on issues whether personal, professional or academic.

As long as you meet assignment and forum requirements, it's an easy A. Don't try to short change the length of your forums, assignments, or tests though...length is pretty much key in this course.

Dr. Sakiewicz is a very good professor. He cares very much and was very understanding, very professional and always accessible. He was very active in class discussion and extremely knowledgeable in the course material. He shared so many real world experiences ( successes and failures) that taught me more than any textbook, theory ever has.

I was skeptical about taking this class with him per the reviews however it went well. Passed the class with an A and feel I learned. One of his things is backing up your work "references" even on forum posts. He will mention this to you and if you comply you will not have a problem. I recommend him. Good Luck!

This was my very first Master's class with AMU. Dr. S was amazing. There was no tests nor quizzes. Expect a 3-5 page paper due each week and on week 8 a 15 page paper. He is a great teacher and would take him over again!

Yes, there is a lot of writing. However you will learn the importance of researching your information. I really enjoyed how he pointed out important aspects and graded our papers with intellectual feedback. My writing improved tremendously in this class. I also have been able to use this foundation course in many other classes and forums.

It still amazes me why any student would give Dr. S. a poor rating. This is the 3rd time I have taken him. I had him once in my undergraduate work and twice in my master's work and I can say without hesitation he is among the top professors at APUS. He has the heart of a teacher but teaches more like a mentor and a colleague. A real professional!

The first class I have taken that felt like a Masters level course. Prof. Sakiewicz expects and promotes quality participation in the forum and on all assignments. If you do the minimum, your grade will reflect it. He provides feedback you can use to improve your products and work but he will expect you to do your part in learning.

The best part of this course was Dr. S. He was always quick to answer any of my questions and he was extremely active in our discussion forums and his grading and feedback were very fair. Dr. S. is very encouraging and makes his students feel more like peers or colleagues in business. I now feel more prepared than ever in my degree and career.

Dr. S. was incredible! This is really the first graduate course where I actually learned how to apply my new knowledge in my field. As a young entrepreneur starting up my new company, Dr. S. gave me an incredible toolbox filled with great tools to use. Dr. S. is a great instructor! He was very patient with me as I transition back into school after being out for a long time. Learning the APA 6th style of writing was tough, but Dr. S. gave me useful tools, example papers, and templates, and was specific in his feedback. I am now totally proficient in APA. 8 Forums 275 word discussion and 150 word reply, no test or final just 7 assignments due each week containing either a paper, PowerPoint or Essay, very easy to manage. Grades fair and fast gives great feedback just use references on discussions and assignments and you will be fine. Take the course you will learn a lot and should pass with an A!

Dr. S. delivers a great entry-level entrepreneurship course. While there is quite a bit of reading, there is an engaging discussion component. I got more learning out of that type of course than what you find in a static boring test-driven course. Dr. S. mixes it up with awesome real-world information and training. Dr. S. is the consummate pro!

Great, fair professor. Ensure to follow APA 7th edition! Learning the material is on you, but that how online works anyway. No problems with his grading comments. Everything was straight forward and easy to follow.

In my opinion, solid professor! Second class with him and I would definitely take a third. A couple of quizzes plus a mid term and a final for this class. Then a pretty long final paper, ensure to follow APA formatting and youll do fine. Nothing to get too worked up about though.

One discussion post per week, plus one paper due on Sunday every week. It was alot of writing each week between the discussion posts and papers due each week. No tests or quizzes just papers. He was very responsive via emails and his prompts for each assignment are interesting and thought provoking. Very easy to meet his writing requirements.

Dr. Sakiewicz was great. There was one big project and quizzes with a midterm and a final. He was easy to get ahold of if you have any questions and had a great personality for the course. Asked questions in the discussions throughout the week and was very engaging.

Anyone who gives him a score less than 5 on this platform, is either very mistaken, did not apply themselves, or just don't get it. Assignments I put a lot of effort into were marked low. Assigments I put zero effort into, I recieved 100%. Inconcsistant in grading, but easy grader. Assignments were straightforward. 1 midterm and 1 final, all multiple choice. Two papers. Weekly discussion papers. I missed one discussion, which led to my B grade, otherwise I had an A.

Of all the instructors I've had during my master's degree work at APUS, Dr. Sakiewicz ranks amongst the best. He is a straightforward teacher who doesn't teach from the proverbial 'Ivory Tower' but treats his students more like business partners and associates. His goal is to show us how to apply our learning at work. A great Professor and mentor!

Dr. S. helped me like no other nonprofit leadership expert (professional or academic). His experience in building NPOs is impressive. The techniques and strategies I learned from him are invaluable. The fundraising plan I developed in class garnered rave reviews from my Board and staff. We have implemented it with great success! I'm excited!!! :-D

This was the hardest class I have taken. Discussions each week, two quizzes, midterm test, final test and final paper. The quiz answers very from what you find when you do a google search with the question. Overall, he was very easy to contact and helped out if needed. Just be prepared to work hard for your grade.

I must thank Dr. Sakiewicz for making this class so engaging by adding real-world examples. I appreciate how he takes his professional experience and incorporates it into the weekly discussions. The class is challenging, but I learned so much. It's one of my favorite courses I've taken at APUS and, by far, one of the most interesting. Incredible!
