He is full of common sense, which is definetly a plus, because John jay professors lack lots of it. He is interesting, and very entertaining. At first you might be a little confused but don't worry he explains things well. He knows his stuff.

Easy going class. One of the few classes I enjoyed this semester. Class discussions were on point, and the man knows what he is talking about. Very interesting and informative class. I recommend it to anyone.

Very easy class. A wonderful professor. He gaves easy exams. Some of the books you read in class are based on documentaries and there are a few documentaries you have to watch in class. The class is a bit boring but he makes it interesting. I am taking him again for another Anthropology class.

I agree i haven't even finished taking the class and i know im going to pass, he is a great teacher and very funny! he makes the class interesting and i will be taking him in another class... as long as you do the reading you will be okay :)

This professor is great and nice but sometimes his lectures is boring and you can fall asleep in his class easily. You have to do a lot of reading in his class to keep up. Make sure you dont miss a lot in his class because his exams are based on his lecture and the books you read. There are three books in total.

omggg.. i love him. he is jus so cute with a great personality. the class is also easy tells u everything that is goin to be on the exam which is easy. such a great funny personality, and did i mention he is great to look at. but really the best!!!!!!

Lets just say i wish he taught math english history and all of the above he is very clear and yes its true he's a looker.. but most importantly he knows what he's doing unlike other professors! :)

I am still taking the class but so far the professor is great and helpful. The videos he shows are actually interesting.He doesnt care about attendence and is very helpful. Agree with the others.. he is very cute and I love his voice! lol

Great teacher and fun guy.U dont have 2 read the book or even buy it. He gives u notes and shows movies. Reviews before the mid-term and final. Gives extra assignments & is not strict about due dates. Just study before the test and u ll do fine on it. I enjoyed his teaching and u ll do 2. Take his class its fun.

he is the best professor ever, i had him for two classes, easy A if your looking to uplift ur gpa, but he will teach u alot and his very funny...midterm paper was easy and so was the final..

Snajdr is truly a great person. He is extremely helpful to students. Attendance in his class is not even mandatory. There is only a midterm, paper, and a final. He makes the class very interesting with movies and also does a wonderful job of making the course interesting. Highly recommend him for any class he is teaching. Overall great professor!

Great Professor, really knows his stuff. He is hard, but fair.

This Professor puts most of th responsibility on you, but makes up for it by holding awesome lectures, showing movies, and being very lax about attendance. Midterm,Final, a paper, and a few homework assignments. Its really an easy A if you put in some effort. His lectures are fun, upbeat and you're guaranteed to have a good time in his class.

He's a great professor and an easy A! Very knowledgeable and knows how to teach very well. If you don't copy notes, watch his videos, or read the textbooks then it will be hard unless u had prior knowledge to the class.

Remarkably outstanding! While the course is challenging, Dr. Snajdr's lectures always provide for thought-provoking analysis. A word of advice: I would strongly recommend reading required materials before exams. It was certainly an honor to be in his class, and an opportunity that I would extend to all?

GREAT INSTRUCTOR! I had him this past semester (Fall 2008) and his class was fairly easy and very interesting! Just make sure you come to class, take notes, and just study for the Midterm and Final and you'll be ok. Also he tells you what's going to be on the exams. He even gives extra credit assignments to bring up your grade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What? I love snajdr he makes the stuff as interesting as he can considering some of the books are blah! his 300 level classes are a bit more challenging as far as papers but you gotta take him at least once before leaving JJay.

Very knowledgeable and explains things well. I hate anthropology but he can usually keep my attention. He tries to make it interesting and he is funny. Make sure you read the books-tested on one mid-term and one final. Sometimes he talks about things he doesn't really know about and tries to play it off when a student confronts him about it.Oh well

This professor rocks!!! Absolutely brilliant and inspiring! A word of advice: While he does not mandate attendance, I recommend attending the lectures. Not doing so throws you way behind! Regardless, I would recommend this Professor for any course he teaches!

He's a very good professor. You have to give one five minute presentation in his class. There's also one midterm, one final and one 6-8 pages term paper.

OMg He's awesome! attendance is not mandatory but Ive yet to miss one of his classes. Hes hilarious and really clear with explaining the material. Im gunna look for him when taking future classes

attendance is not mandatory but try to go to all his classes because his exams are from material given in class. He is a very easy prof and handsome. He makes the class extremely interesting, would definitely take him again. An easy A class

Fascinating professor. I've recommended him to anyone who needs to take Anthro. He has you read three books but he gives you everything for the midterm. He was definitely a wonderful teacher to have and the assignments he gave us were actually quite fun. He emails back pretty quick.

THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER. He is super funny and great. Attendance is not mandatory, but you won't want to stay away since he is so interesting. He gives you the material that's going to be on the midterm and final. Only three easy assignments. Do the reading and you'll do very well. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

I took this class in the winter session. Intensive course, 3 books to read, but learn how to do selective readings, and you'll be ok. Very interesting class. Extremely funny and encouraging professor. I highly recommend him

Professor Snajdr was a good professor. The class consists of a TON of reading that APPLIES TO THE TESTS: MIDTERM & FINAL. There's one paper which is easy (six pages) and one presentation which is talking to the class for 5 minutes. The class was definitely boring at times, Snajdr can be funny at times and his lectures are super long and repetitive.

He gives four writing assignments, but the majority of your grade comes from the midterm and final. The midterm is a bit easier since the topics are not demanding, but make sue you study hard for the final. Buy the textbook and the Yanomamo book. As for sidewalks, its your choice but you must know the story for the final. Overall, hes a funny guy

He is an AMAZING professor. I purchased three texts. He does not go over the readings in class. He may reference them. Reading prepares you for better understanding of the lecture. He gives review sheets. The exams will only be easy you read and attended class, good luck! Laid back down to Earth Professor!

Professor Snajdr is as previously stated AMAZING. He does not take attendance but trust me you will not want to miss his class. Make sure you are always taking notes because most likely it will be either on the midterm or final.

Loved this professor. Very easy going and super hilarious, which made everyone interested in his lectures. I think he is one of the best Professors i've ever taken. Participation isnt really mandatory, but do all of the homework and do the readings and youll do well. The midterm and final is easy and gives out study sheets.

A Prof. I will genuinely miss. Cares about his students and is willing to help his students succeed. Do all your assignments, follow any suggestions he gives you and you will pass.

Professor Snadjr was an amazing instructor for Anthropology. He was very clear and understandable, very funny, knowledgeable, and easy going. He knew everyones name very early in the semester, which shows he actually pays attention to those that show up to his class . He also takes his time to make sure everybody understands his lecture.

Professor snajder has really simple lectures and makes it easy to learn. Take good notes and you should be good. he doesn't give more than one or two homeworks. no extra tests just the midterm and final test. all based on his lectures. overall hes great, funny , interesting and easy to learn with.

read each week!!!!, it helps a lot for exams. although it was an open note it was hard trying to find the answers when you didn't read/watch the weeks assignments. homework isn't that hard. this is an easy A class.

Professor Snajdr is truly great. Very caring for his students, always responsive, and a fair grader. I enjoyed taking his class so much. Though, there is a lot of reading and videos, it is easy and all very interesting. Put the time in, I promise its not that hard. Also, there are three Test and very few blackboard discussions as homework.

Lots of reading that becomes very crucial to you passing the three test that are given. Please read and watch all the videos. Youll pass with an easy A! Hes a delightful teacher and very interactive. Good Luck!

Professor Snajdr's lectures are pretty straight to the point, easy to understand and informative. As long as you take good notes, watch the videos, pass the 3 given test, and participate in the attendance questions, you'll do fine

I took Prof. Snajdr for an online class and it was pretty manageable. Prof. Snajdr didnt assign a lot of work and his tests are not hard especially if you read through his lectures (which are posted onto blackboard so its accessible at all times) & watch the assigned videos.

If you need to take ANT 101, take Professor Snajdr!! This was an asynchronous course but I really loved it. He gave really interesting readings every week but gave us a break during the weeks with major holidays which I appreciated. The readings were short and simple, plus I loved that he used his own personal experiences as an anthropologist.

prof snajdr is actually a really great professor and he applies a lot of his own experiences and research into his lectures as an anthropologist. he is a very helpful and understanding teacher outside of class too. lectures are great but aren't for those who hate to read :P

This professor is extremely organized and you can always ask him for help in his office hours and is responsive to emails. Two quizzes, four assignments, and just the final. The lectures are organized as well and with minor articles and readings. The assignments due dates are spaced out. Not bad at all.

Prof Snadjr is responsive to emails and has zoom meetings! Assignments were 2 quizes, 4 mini-projects, and 1 final project/paper 3-4 pages. I like how each lecture is spaced out divided equally. No textbook required, he provides links to readings and videos. His goal is not to stress us out so I would recommend taking him for ANT325 & ANT101.

Professor Snajdr is super knowledgeable about the material he teaches and includes his own experiences. Workload is light and his lectures are informative. Everything on exams were discussed in class. Super kind. 10/10

Professor Snajdr made this course very effortless, very easy class to pass if you listen to him and take notes. His exams were online and we had until 11:59 to hand it in as well as little to no work throughout the semester.

Professor Snajdr is a gem. So sweet and understanding of his students. So clear and reasonable with grading. 3 take home tests and 3 discussion board posts. Easy and to the point. Would definitely take him again! He's funny too and has a lot of anthropological experience which makes class interesting :0

Class is a lecture, prof makes it interesting but the material can be a lilttle boring but thats just me. Few blackboard hws and some tests that were easy if you copied down notes Def recommend

I thought this would be a hard class as a freshman but It was easy and interesting. He is really understanding and doesn't give a lot of work. All you gotta do is participate once in a while, do your work and take notes. He will make you laugh, such a good man, you'll watch a movie and watch videos for hw.

Professor Snajdr was very helpful during the class and after the course when I needed a recommendation letter. If you listen carefully and invest your time in the assignments, you will pass the class.

Professor Snajdr is very caring and kind. I absolutely loved this class. He cares about his student and he is funny. This is the only class I actually showed up to EVERYDAY. I would 10000000000% recommend his class. He has amazing experience as an anthropologist and his lectures are amazing. The work and tests are very easy if you pay attention.

Professor Snajdr is amazing I took him for ANT 325 and I took him for the capstone class. He makes sure everything is organized to help you. There are mini assignments in place to help you with the topic of your paper and he is willing to help you every step of the way even if you're unsure about where your research is going. Good luck!

Professor Snajdr is very understanding to your time and doesn't give much work. You take three test and theres two attendance questions that can be done. He mentions to take notes and you should it will be on the test but also say to take your notes on paper then on your computer.

This class was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Prof. Snajdr gives really good lectures and makes the information easy to understand. He's funny and understanding. As long as you take notes, you'll do well on the tests and class assignments.

He is genuinely a great professor. I'd still suggest that you go to all the lectures because all the notes you write down will be used for your tests & essays (in these essays you do not need to have the most outstanding writing skills). Also, watch every film he assigns. This class is an easy A!

Best professor. He gives a few homework assignments here and there but they are fairly simple. He is easy to reach, should you need help with anything or to just let him know you will not be present in class. Extremely caring and always brings good energy to class. If you have to take ANT 101, take Professor Snajdr!

I took him for ANT 101 Summer 2023. Just read the pdfs files (no textbook), and you will do excellent, because the open book tests multiple-questions are in the readings. He's very caring in response to BB or emails. Plus, learning culture is fun.

Great understanding professor. Took his class over the summer, in 3 weeks. About 3 movies assigned each week and you just have to write a summary for each. Very easy A.

For exams, read posted lecture notes, watch films & readings! Goes over review sheets with specifics before exams, EC opps. Easy class! Prof Snajdr is amazing! If you're late, just email, you'll get attendance points (done randomly). He's caring and funny, extremely interactive class and he gives candy sometimes!!! Take him if you have the option!

Oh what a gem this professor is! The course work is easy to follow and keep up with due to his amazing organization, he is also the most understanding professor I've had when it comes to lateness and difficulties. Highly recommend!!!!

Professor Snajdr was awesome! Gives a good amount of films/readings each week, but I recommend actually watching/reading because they will be helpful for exams. Had 3 tests over the course of the semester, 4 short assignments and occasional attendance checks. Super kind, and cares about your success in the course. Take him!

Professor Snajdr was a great professor for ANT 101 in the summer. The course was three weeks, with three attendance and lecture-based discussion questions each, along with three tests. There's some reading and a few films to watch, but it's manageable with consistent effort

Prof. Snajdr is a GREAT professor, very clear on what you're graded on, his class is very interesting and he teaches in a way that keeps you involved. He's funny and I would definitely retake this class. Three exams total, 1 (simple) essay per test, if you read the readings and use his review sheets to study its hard to fail.

I enjoyed taking my capstone class with Professor Snajdr. The majority of the work is done outside of class as you create your ethnographic project, so you only meet a couple times throughout the fall in order to give you time to do field work. He was very responsive to emails and was overall very supportive throughout the process.

This is my second time taking Professor Snadjr, he is a very nice and caring professor! He gives good feedback and is accessible outside of class time. The class was pretty much a hybrid course, so we did not have to meet every week. In general the work load was pretty manageable and not difficult, you just have to dedicate additional time.

I learned a lo from this class, the information is easy to process and the lectures are fun, I would highly recommend you take his class. You will have a midterm, and a Final, both very easy if you pay attention, participate too whenever you can. You will also have attendance questions so be present.

Personally, Anthropology is not something I'm typically interested in but Prof. Snajdr made the class very interesting and fun. He is clearly passionate about his work and his lectures are done in a very entertaining way. Just make you read the materials and study well for the exams and you should have an A. I'd never been interested in anthropology until I took Professor Snajdr's class. His lectures were very interesting, and he gives you much room to succeed. As long as you do the work, you'll be just fine.

I would take his class again if I could, his lecture were always interesting, he has a ton of stories to tell from his own anthropology research and overall his class was fairly easy. The assignments were super simple questions, and the tests were mostly remembering certain stuff based on lectures and talking about your own culture.

I've never been interested in Anthropology before his class; he makes it interesting and actually makes you want to learn. He barely gives any assignments, only three tests with study guides and short classwork assignments. However, be ready to take notes the WHOLE class as he does lecture for the full time. Overall, take this class if you can!

super awesome prof, genuinely so interesting, engaging, and all of his tests are very accurate to the review sheets he provides. I love his sense of humor. his assignments arent really allat + theres not that many.. just go to class

You are going to read a lot in his class and watch films but it is very worth it. Even though it is online through his lectures and discussions on attendance you sense his amazing personality. It makes his online class feel less online. There is Three exams and 10% of grade is attendance. Love his class!!
