Professor is very nice, helpful, and funny. The class discussions are interesting. I would take him again and recommend him to others.

You can't blame the guy for trying. Psych can be very dry (especially at 8am) but he made it interesting. I definitely absorbed everything he taught us. He was a little corny, but harmless (and is VERY lenient with lateness and absence, so don't freak out.) Lots of power point notes.

He's such a good teacher! He has little tricks to get you to remember things that are so much fun you learn without even realizing you have. He's also very sweet and compassionate with his students. If you have to take these courses take them with him.

Vinski is a really nice guy and a really good teacher. He is very understanding if you are late with things, but don't take advantage of him. You get a cheat sheet for your tests. Definately take it!!!!!

Prof Vinski is a great teacher. The material in the class sux but he makes it bearable. He's always smilin and has a good sense of humor. There are a lot of notes but he makes the tests fair, open book or take home :)

the tests this semester have all been take home so far. class is the same every day - he uses powerpoint presentations, but i never get bored [and my class is at 8am too!]. tries to make class fun by adding in humorous stories. i would def. tell anyone to try to take him.

If I had to take this class with any other professor I think I would die, or drop out of education. He is great, holds the classes interest and is realistic with his expectations. I wish I could take him again.

Very interestig and engaging lectures...great job ED! ...here's your PEPPER!!! notes allowed for exam but you don't need if you pay attention to lectures and read the text book.

Clear, fair, nice, exam assistance sheets allowed, Vinski is the man. Another pepper for being so cool!

papers are easy, tests are OK...half questions from text, half from lecture. i got an A and i never read for the class (just reviewed vocab in bold). he allows an "exam assistance sheet" for tests which is helpful. he humors peoples stupid questions which gets to be very annoying. probably an easier class for psych majors. hes a nice guy.

Vinski is a great professor. He is helpful, funny and makes lecture entertaining. Essays are easy. Tests are OK. He allows a "test assistance sheet" which is helpful. Write all the bold words from the text on sheet. He has 2 debates, say anything and he will give you an A. Vinski lives for peppers so here is another one. It was a really fun class.

He's a good teacher-but he means what he says when he wants APA format!! Don't mess with the APA format!

Awesome teacher! Would definitely take again. Was a little nervous in the beginning because it's not my major but it was definitely worth while. Pay attention and study and you'll enjoy his class.

Funny guy, the class time goes by so fast. I feel like I'm learning a lot. Read the book for the midterm though!! Only thing I didn't like was that he grades your papers accoring to APA format not content, but at least he warns you!!

The Pepper is because he told us to. Cool guy although he has a tendency to kill great psychologists...no literally, he's the Psychology Angel of Death. If you plan on becoming a psychologist don't let him mention your name, you'll be dead the next day. Otherwise awesome guy, APA format strict but can be checked over early without penalty.

Amazing teacher!! kept class fun, and i actually learned a lot through his class. Was not into psych until this class, and cannot wait to take EDU 234 with him. Tests are a bit hard, but you get an assistance sheet, and APA format is strict, but if you work hard and come to all the lectures you can get an A. Highly recommended

Excellent teacher - somehow makes being at school at 8am seem not AS bad as it is...he's truly a great professor who keeps the class going and is very interesting. Very helpful, fair teacher. Exams are pretty hard - make sure you study and don't just depend on the exam assistance sheet. He does offer extra credit, though. Liked the class alot!

I look forward to Professor Vinski's class. This is the first semester of EDU121, and he's had to start from scratch. Although the student-run lectures can be a little boring, his comments, stories, lectures, and real experience in the field make the class interesting. The class is at 8am, and I still want to go! Very fair professor.

1st semester of a class is hard. but vinski is a kool guy. he understands that its a lot of stuff to learn. he work with the students for their benefit. hes got a lot of stories from being in the field and if u have a class that likes to talk and share experiences its amazing.

He is actually pretty interesting, I was not looking forward to the class but he explains everything really well and allows for a sheet of paper on midterm and final. He is a very fair grader and tries really hard to connect with his students. Remember though half of the questions on the exams are from the textbook so write key terms and ur good

It's really just a boring topic to teach, but he really tries to make it interesting.Has power point notes on blackboard. Make sure u used APA in ur papers. He tries to connect 2 students and uses good examples. DO NOT USE UR CELL IN CLASS!!! He flips out. I would take another class with him though, he is fair n u get a cheat sheet for MT n final.

He is an excellent professor. It's a boring class but with him you actually want to learn because he uses real life examples. He is extremely intelligent and very helpful. He allows a cheat sheet and you can hand in your papers earlier. He is really easy going and I would def like to take another class of his.

on the first day, he apologized bc he "knew he would put us to sleep" at some time. honestly, i cant remember a single day when i was bored. he really made class very interesting, and i would def recommend him to everyone here! we had a few papers and a midterm, and will have a final. everything on midterm was on review ditto, so take notes!

For the person who said 'it is not fair that questions were on the test from the book, he never told us' HAHAHA LMFAO.i thought i heard everything, for 1 he toes tell us that, and its common sense that if u have a book there will be questions about it, i just wanted to say that. He was one of the best teachers i have ever had at this college. As long you pay attention and participate in discussions its almost impossible to fail. He lets you redo all papers as long as they are handed in before the class period its due. And he allows you two bring a double sided, full piece of paper to use on test...and he's Hilarious!

Vinski is a nice guy. Class is not too hard. Only take a midterm and a final. One research paper to do and the observations. Notes are all on blackboard and they are PowerPoint.

Hilarious teacher! always jokes around, Ive never been to attentive in class.if you have an interest in psych at all you'll like it, and he discusses current events that could lead on to a tangent for a while. In order to do the field work papers you'll have to read ahead in the book, but most of the stuff is common sense

Incredible educator and human being. I'm currently a teacher and he was practical and foundational in my classes. After I graduated, he went above and beyond to help me out when I was looking for a job. He's very much into touching base on your networking in your fieldwork and connecting the theorists to education today. SJC is lucky to have him!

He is an AWESOME Professor! I highly recommend him. He is very clear with the topics he goes over in class. He jokes around and makes the class worth while and interesting. He always brings personal examples to the lessons which I love. He always wants to hear what we have to say about what we learn in class to see if we understand the topic.

Vinski is one of my favorite professors this semester! He makes class fun by keeping us all alert & making jokes. He goes over each power point slide very thoroughly, and makes you want to pay attention. I never want to miss that class.

Gotta love Vinski, one of the best professors you can take. Vinski is the MAN.

He tries to make the class the best it can be while also trying to transform students into upcoming teachers. Teaching the lessons was the benefit but the cost was having to listen to everyone else's presentations and not understanding them. He does try to improve the course and does want to help his students anyway possible.

Prof. Vinski is the man. You show up, you do the assignments and you pass. He gives more than enough time to do projects and is reasonable if something comes up. Highly recommend especially if you enjoy a Prof. who talks to you instead of lecturing at you. One of the best.

Vinski is one of the best professors here at St. Joe's. He loves his students and is straight up hilarious. His assignments are very easy, and he is willing to give extra time to any student who needs it. I would recommend you take him if you need one of the classes he offers.

Vinski was absolutely a pleasure. Was SUPER accommodating to every single one of my needs. Tests were tough, but required studying. Gave us a "Test Assistance Sheet" which practically saved my entire grade. Wish he would cut down the lecture time a little bit more, and would've liked to get out early for once, or have a cancelled class. TAKE HIM!

He is awesome!! If you show up and do the work you will most definitely pass. Made lectures interesting to the point where I wanted to come to class. Encourages discussion and opposing thoughts/views. Easy to talk to if you have questions.

THIS CLASS IS GREAT. The entire semester is basically taught by our peers. There were 6 groups, each group gave 2 presentations in order of the chapters, at the end of those presentations they gave us questions and answers based on the chapters which he then used for the final and midterm. Essentially we had all the questions and answers

Was not in anyway interested in taking an education psychology course but he really made it interesting and made it exciting to be there. Hes a very smart normal guy and you will enjoy being in his class everyday.

Take Vinski if you can. He actually teaches you useful material to use in the field. He is hilarious and cares about his students and gives extra credit if you need it. His tests are hard but if you GO TO EVERY CLASS and READ THE TEXTBOOK it's an easy A. Attendance and participation are not factored into your grade but they do help.

Prof. Vinski is a great teacher, he cuts out the "fluff and stuff" and teaches you what you need to know. He keeps us during the lecture and lets us voice our opions. Very happy I had him as a professor.

He's truly a great guy. He gives you the midterm and final in a review sheet and picks 3-4 of the questions for the actual test. He is someone you can hold a conversation with and he makes them enjoyable. Participation is easy. He really is a great professor! I wish I took him for more of my education classes.

Professor Vinski is an amazing professor! Classes are very lecture heavy. Test are a bit tough, you need to study!! Aside from that, he is hilarious, very understanding with field work for adolescent ed majors, and he is very smart and knows what he is doing! P.S. hand your papers in early and he gives an extra week to get them back to him.

Professor Vinski is great. He gives work and readings that you can understand and follow along with. He makes psychology fun and the lectures are interesting. A bit of reading but nothing that isn't gone over in class. I would take him for all education classes if I could! Great guy and professor, he's very understanding and overall a real person.

This is the professor that you will remember years later. I have taken a number of classes he has taught because he is that good. His lectures are always interesting. You have to show up, pay attention, and take notes. The way he teaches makes the classes easy as long as you try. The lectures tend to be relatable and usable in your field. A+ Prof.

This class was focused on a lot of questions where they had no correct answer. Professor is understanding and known students are under a lot of pressure. Weekly blog post on classmate and one time for yourself. It is not hard but need to be open minded and ready to ask questions. Exams are all take home in a paragraph format.

He is a nice guy, and understands students stress and complications. Lectures can be on the drier side, but he tries to make them interesting with discussions. He assigns discussion boards weekly which are super easy if you use your head and refer to the textbook when needed.

Discussions every week, one reading report, and a group project where groups of 7ish teach a chapter of the textbook to the class (around a 50 min presentation, but split up). He's so caring and understanding. He relates everything we talk about to his own experience as an educator and he shows how important special ed it. Definitely recommend!!!

AMAZING PROFESSOR

This professor is amazing. I didn't want to check the "difficulty box" because I wouldn't say he's just an easy professor at all. He has high expectations for his students, but it's also apparent that he had high expectations for himself. He is an excellent instructor, he has excellent notes, super-engaging lectures and class discussions.

If you are an AE student, try to get your placement asap. Also the anthology website is very confusing so don't think its just you. Looked forward to this class!
