Mr. Watkins is a wonderful teacher he explains math in a way that the student can achieve. I was in his elementary algebra class and I was able to pass with a high score.

If you are afraid of algebra this is the class for you. This guy loves to teach and does not make it difficult to learn. If you take really GOOD notes and KEEP ALL tests and quizzes for study material, at the end you will be very surprised at how much you learned and how easy the final exam is. He puts no great demands on you or your work.

Prof. Watkins is an easy teacher for 1033. You have 4 lab worksheets, 4 quizzes, 3 tests & a final in a full semester (you can use your notes). He can be disorganized often he gets behind, then rushes through course material to catch up.

The class was a pilot class for a non lecture, self paced course. Prof Watkins did his best to help us with the online class work. I believe he did the best he could with 13 students all asking different question because we were all on different levels. Good Job Professor Watkins

I just finished college algebra summer semester. Didn't have to do that dumb my math lab. He just has you do several problems out of your book for homework. The quiz he gives you is the exact same thing as the exam, slightly changed numbers. Hate math he made it very easy. Dont miss too many classes,I am taking him again for fall semester

Prof. Watkins is the best professor I have ever had! I am not mathematically inclined AT ALL and he made Algebra an approachable and do-able subject. He gives you excellent notes that prepare you perfectly for you quizzes and tests. TAKE HIM!!!!!

Prof. Watkins is a good teacher, he teaches well. The problem is his grading system. The final exam (which is accumulative) is 30% of your final grade which means if you receive anything less than an "A", it would be extremely difficult to receive an "A" in his class. I had a mid "A" before final, made a "B" on final...final grade "B", not fair.

Great professor, If you are not comfortable with ALG, I suggest him as the person for you. You will not regret it. He makes learning ALG simple.

TAKE HIM FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN. I took him or all of my math classes. He is very helpful breaks it down so babies can understand. The book he uses helps becuase it shows explains of the math problems. You will have a homework packages that will be due the day of the test. Would recommend!

Being a student that strongly dislikes Math, I was nervous to take this class, but Watkins made each student feel confident and reassured that he could guide them and that's exactly what he did (and continues to do). Take him if you're not great with math. Did I mention his quizzes/tests are ALL multiple choice ;) ???

Professor Watkins is great!You must complete homework and packets in order to do well on the quizzes and tests. He drops the lowest quiz and test grade. The only negative, the final counts 30% of your final grade, so you have to do well on it!

Prof. Watkins was a great teacher! However, kids in the class struggled from non attendance. Must attend to understand. I made an easy A with him. If you don't comprehend he is more than willing to help during office hours. DO THE HOMEWORK! It pays off; tests and quizzes have problems all similar to the ones you do on hw and lab sets. I rated this Prof. to the highest. He is very easy for he will ensure you understand the material which makes it easy. He even comes in an hour early to help who ever needs additional help. I love Prof. Watkins! I was nervous about algebra and was hopeful for a B at best. Not only did I understand everything, I walked out with over 100% for an average. He's a wonderful, wonderful professor. He is extremely clear and concise. He does not tolerate classroom foolishness though, which is great. Attendance is mandatory for a reason though.

Omg!! He is the greatest professor I have ever taken. If you don't understand math, this is the class for you. He breaks it down to a T. No steps skipped, and he explains it to you like no other. Homework and quizzes are online. He is the bomb.com. He is very laid- back, cool kinda dude. If you do the work, you will walk out with the victory.

Super easy, took him for college algebra, it felt like High School Algebra 2 all over again. He only gave about four homework assignments, four quizzes, and four final exams that are all due within four weeks.

If you struggle with math he may be a little difficult because he teaches pretty fast. All test multiple choice plus extra credit points. My class had all quizzes online but they were more difficult and included more problems but you had 2-3 weeks to complete. He doesnt calculate grades until the end of the semester so keep up with your average.

Fast paced but covers all the required materials in the time allotted. He reviews material before a test and they are multiple choice tests. He hates people being late, so plan accordingly and don't be rude.

Advise: Even though he drops your lowest test grade, take the first test. Also, be prepared to do a lot of online HW (that you can guess over and over till you get it right). My class acted like a bunch of babies because we had 30 questions in one module. Like quite whining like a babies, it's college. Expect to work. Overall, Great Professor.

Professor Watkins is AWESOME! Yes, I received a C in the class but honestly shouldn't of even passed. I am horrible at math, horrible! But, he allowed you to bring 2 pages of notes for each test (even the final) and he dropped your lowest score. So all you have to do is complete the H.W. assignments and pass 2 tests and the final and you are good!

I aced every exam. By "aced" I mean 100%'s. Guy gave me a "B" because I didn't show up to class very often. It's college algebra!!! Needless to say, I was pretty upset at getting a B in the course, esp. since his class was a complete cakewalk. If your looking for an easy A, its here for you. If you're intelligent, he will not like you very much.

If you avg. an A on all three exams then you are exempt from the final. Study, complete the homework, and show up to class and you should make an A. Do yourself a favor and take him.

Make sure you do all of your homework (which is online) and do well on quizzes (also online) and you will do well. He is a very fair and helpful professor. Im am horrible in math but I passed. Highly recommend!!!

Alot of subject matter, but he breaks all concepts down into lameness terms to really help you understand, all hw and quizzes are done online. He also drops 1 of first 2 tests ( a total of 3 regular tests and 1 final)and automatically drops lowest quiz. Also offers an option to be exempt from his final exam. Allows 2 pgs of notes on tests.

Loved Professor Watkins. I am terrible at Math and found his teaching method easy to follow and I got an A in the class. For me attendance was really important (and you get graded off for not attending). Make a 90 or higher on your first 3 exams and you can exempt the final. I'm taking him for Statistics in the fall.

I took Professor Watkins for both of my required math classes. I am horrible at math and made an A in both of his classes. Attend class, do your homework and you will do great on your tests. His grading criteria is extremely fair. He is the BEST!

Professor Watkins made me like Algebra. If you work hard in his class, you'll be rewarded. Do not hesitate to take this professor. Hint: Stay with or ahead of the lecture in your assignments. It pays off in the end.

Most of the work was on Webassign and if you met a certain criteria with competed work, you were exempt from the final. His lectures were helpful and he explains everything thoroughly. Make sure to do the practice exams he gives out, those definitely help with the actual exams!

Professor Watkins Respects hard work and is very clear in his lectures and instructions. He is willing to help outside of class, he understands the class is difficult and does not pull any punches with his lectures. You will hit the ground running but if you are there every class and do the homework, quizzes and test you will do well.

Professor Watkins was awesome! It was my second time taking college Algebra and he made it possible for me to pass with a B. Coming from a person who's not good with mathematics, he exceeded my expections as a professor & made algebra EASY. Not too often you find genuine teachers who helps you grasp the concepts. Professor Watkins is one of the best math teachers I have had. He allows you to use notes on your test (3 total and exam). The quizzes are online and easy. He also gives you an opportunity for extra credit on your final exam. If you average a 90% on your 3 test you are exempt from the final exam. I am taking him for sta2023. Awesome professor!

Professor Watkins is the best math teacher/professor I have ever had. He breaks everything down into the simplest terms that anybody can get. All 3 tests are done in class on paper. Profesor Watkins is an amazing teacher, he makes the material easy to understand. If you don't understand he will stay at that section until everyone is comfortable. He is by the book but he will work with you and your schedule. Again you will not regret taking his class you will end up taking every course he offers.

This professor is the best professor ever and college algebra was my least favorite subject, but with this pro. it was so happy and understand easily and so easily. i highly recommend him to anyone who is taking mathematics . you can interrupt and ask question very friendly. you will not regret if you take him.

Great Professor. He tries to help you understand the process of college algebra. Any questions, he is there to help during office hours. 4 exams and if you have an average of 92% on the first three you are exempt form the 4th, the final exam . You can use two pages, hand written, front & back of notes on all exams. He reviews before & after exams.

No textbook, but you have to buy the pearson access, everything was online, hmwk,quizzes and tests. You go to class and do work on your computer and ask questions if you need. Really easy class, work at your own pace, no due dates so you have to make sure you don't get behind. He helps make you understand something if you don't get it. Recommend.

All I have to say is that it has been 10 years since I've attended any College and have only completed College Algebra all those years ago. Professor Watkins is awesome;) I did not exempt the final, but finished with an A:) He is excited and passionate about his skill and is good at it. Highly Recommend! Hes more on the older side so he really takes his time with things which is good, he gives the option of exempting out of the final if you have an A in class which isnt hard to achieve. The homework videos are really helpful so definitely take the time to look over them.

Please please please take him! He is a very caring and understanding professor. He makes sure you understand everything before he moves on. If you ask him questions, he does his best to explain everything without sounding condescending. He also exempts you from the final if you score an A on all your test! Absolutely wonderful professor!

I took him for the hybrid statistics class and he's amazing! The class is very clearly outlined and only had 2 exams. (Open note and study guide). There are multiple homework assignments online due at the end of the class however you get unlimited tries. He really wants each student to pass his class and he genuinely cares. Take him!!

Professor Watkins is everything I want in a professor. Breaks it down to a remedial level and truly wants you to understand the equation your solving.

Professor Watkins is pretty straight forward. Do the work, practice it, study for the exams, and you'll pass. Many people blamed him for their poor test grades, yet wouldn't ask questions. Average an A on the first three exams, and you're exempt from the final. Overall, great professor who cares for his students.

I would recommend this professor for STA2023. He is nice, straight forward, and easy going. His class was good and be sure to come to class for notes. homework was simple and easy! study and ask questions. He is very understanding and helpful. He loves the gators (bonus points lol jk) I would take this class again. Thank you!

Attendance for the first few weeks are necessary. He is always open to questions and answers emails in a timely manner. Lectures during class help a lot and you have more than one attempt on quizzes.

Just when I thought I couldn't do it, professor Watkins proved me wrong. I never would have imagined earning an A, so thankful for his extra credit. There is (4) homework, unlimited attempts (4) quizes unlimited attempts, (1) mid-term proctored at home, and (1) final proctored at home (4) pages noted front and back allowed. so much respect for him!

Professor Watkins is awesome. I was hesitant to take College Algebra without prior tutoring, but he made it easy to follow along. His lectures are awesome. He responds to your questions in a timely manner and offers extra help.

I love Professor Watkins. He is such a kind and caring man. If I could go back, I would take his class as live-on-line or in person because you get so much more info directly from him than the software gives you and I think I would have mastered the content much quicker. He is a great professor though and helped me overcome the obstacles I faced.

Best math ive ever taken

All online course. He didn't seem to like the fact that we were online. Has optional check-ins before tests in case of questions. All learning through the book. 3 proctored tests and 4 hw 4 quizzes at home. Notes are allowed on tests. Easy to pass.

One of the best math teachers I have ever had. He goes directly from the book so if you're ever confused, the online book helps. The homework he assigns is straight forward, easy to follow, and very helpful towards the test we take. Would recommend him to anyone who genuinely wants to learn.

Professor Watkins is a phenomenal teacher. He explained things very well and took his time working out problems on the board. I didn't like the online homework because many of the questions were not on the test, but he does offer help on it so it wasn't too difficult. He distributes practice tests whose questions are similar to the test.
