Best teacher for macro

He's a good teacher, I like the class. The concepts are just kind of hard. He tries to help you understand them though. He's energetic but not in an annoying way. Tests are not too bad, just make sure you understand the work.

His tests are quite challenging but the notes are helpful although I didn't need them for 80% of the questions. Because of his drop the lowest grade replace final exam policy I got an A.

Dude, this guy is HOT! Ok- Notes are very straightforward and essential. Two tests and two assignments for the semester. He is willing to go over and give correct answers to the assignment if class makes an effort to discuss the answers.

Very good at dumbing down economics for us slow learners. Makes the class interesting and of course it helps that he is nice to look at. Tests can be hard. That is speaking for us slow learners that don't study much either. Stay to get answers to the assignment and also for the review for each exam.

I didn't like him. The class was easy... but it was so boring. I never went to class. If I did go, I left early. He treats us all like we're 5 yr old "special" kids. He thinks that we have no brain capacity and breaks everything down to the last detail (ex. 1 hr lesson on how to sell a bike).

Took Macro...wont lie, it was hard, but not due to him. He's a nice guy and makes it as easy as possible. Tests are hard, but he curves, and if you showed up "the assignment" was a given. I made it out with a B+, so its not bad.

The subject may be a tough one to keep interested, but Wolpert's examples made class interesting to listen to. He tries to relate the subject to college student's life. Open Book tests are not as easy as you think, but doable. Over all, he's an awesome guy.

Dr. Woleport is a great teacher, definetly take him!!!. Economics isnt the most stimulating of subjects but he does a great job of making it interesting, plus he lets us out early! He grades very fair, but even though his tests are open book/notes you still need to study.

GREAT TEACHER! for a boring subject he tries to make it as exciting as possible the tests are open-book but there is a time limit and u should still study b/c some of the questions are kinda difficult, the final is voluntary to bring up ur grade, hes a nice guy, lets u out early, i totally recommend

Great teacher! Down to earth, and not fast-paced. Willing to explain things and uses great examples. 2 tests (one take home) and final is optional. 1 assignment (answers given in class!). Come 2 class and you'll easily get an A or B

He made Economics easier to understand..just go to class (you will want to because hes HOT!!) and you can easily make it out of there with a B.

Dr. Wolpert was an amazing professor. He knew what he was talking about and made a difficult subject easier to understand. If you have to take this class take it from him!!!! He is also absolutely adorable. I can't say enough nice things about him! He's such a hottie!!!

Good Teacher, Nice guy

He truely wants his students to do well in his class. He breaks down economics into the simple terms and uses tons of examples to make sure you understand the material. Out of all the macro teachers, definitely take him. There are only two tests and one assignment the whole semester - go to class he gives you the answers to the assignment

pretty easy but if you dont really try to understand you wont. 2 tests and 1 assignment. all assignment answers are given to you. at the end you can try to raise ur grade by retaking both tests. easy class nice guy take him.

Good teacher, make sure you go to class for the notes or get them from someone else. Also, be sure to do the assignment, he gives you the answers in class. Tests aren't easy, expecially the second one. I recommend you take your computer to class, he is a fast talker!!!

The Best Economics teacher I've ever had!Not only does he actually care about us undertanding the material, but he is also a very cool guy. If you have a question or a problem with the material he is always more than happy to help you. His tests are fair, and if you study for them, you should have no problem getting an A in the class!

HE IS AMAZING!! Very clear, very helpful. Tests are int he testing center, but if you're followiing the lectures they're easy! I never opened the book, I studied the notes for the tests and got an A. LOVED this class

Dr. Wolpert is a great professor. He knows his stuff and explains it very clear. Go to class and do the homework since he gives you the answers anyway. Study the notes you take and briefly read the book if you buy it, and you should have no problem getting a good grade in his class. Take him!

Great professor. Takes boring and somewhat confusing material and breaks it down enough that its simple. Gives the answers to the homework before its due and if you pay attention in class you will do good on the tests. Very approachable if you have questions...what more do you want in a professor?

Wolpert is the man, he makes it so easy if you just go to class and LISTEN. If you do, don't even need to read the book to get a B+. Study the book? get an A. Crystal clear and will go slow for people who are lost. Please don't interrupt him in class or you will be wasting his time, he hates that.

WOLPERT IS AWESOME! Highly recommend him as a teacher, he made economics interesting and way easier than you would think it ever could be. I took it from 6-850 at night and we never stayed past 8, Assignment answers are given IN class so it is definitely worth your time to go to class. TAKE MACRO AND TAKE IT WITH HIM!

THIS TEACHER IS THE BEST ECON TEACHER EVER. i took econ in highschool and this teacher far surpassed my old teacher. Stay after the fifteen minute breaks he gives, and he GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUIZ QUESTIONS! if you don't want to buy the book, all you have to do to study for the tests is study the quizes and his notes. STUDY THO!

Very clear. Very funny/sarcastic. Very friendly. One of the most enjoyable lecturers I've ever had. Highly recommend him. Only four tests, so don't mess up, but a nice 3/100 extra credit for doing the online assignments in full.

prob. the best economics teacher (although that's not saying a whole lot). really nice guy pretty interesting. not too hard of a class. the hw questions are a lot of the regular test questions...STUDY for the final tho. i didn't study anything but the hw and got a C. go to class to get hw questions. would recommend it

Tests were very, very hard. He is a good professor and pretty funny, and he makes the very long classes seem not too long. I did learn a lot, but he really does not help prepare you for the tests well, and their hard enough as is. Be prepared to study a lot.

I found this class really easy. It was long but he made things very clear to you. If you didn't get it he would go over it. Also tests were pretty much based on the worksheets he gave you with the answers!!! I didn't even go to class all the time and ended up with an A. His class isn't difficult for what it should be!

Took his Macro 2013 class. Made material extremely easy to unterstand. Great teacher, would recommend to anyone. Only issue was only once a week night class when I took it, but we hardly every stayed the full time, usually done by 8 (class was supposed to go until 9)

Macroeconomics is a difficult subject, but Wolpert makes it a lot easier and stress-free. His real world examples are awesome; definitely write them down to help you remember on the tests. If you show up, he gives you the answers to the homework at the end. Ends his night classes an hour early yet you still get all the info needed for the tests.

One of the best teachers at UCF. His grading scale is set up to help you. Don't really need the book, bcus he explains everything so well. Do all the assignments( he gives the answers) even the 1 thats extra credit. My 3 tests avg were a low c almost a D, but I did well on the final with a B, which got me a B in the class. Take this professor...:)

He gives great notes and is very thorough, but man the tests are hard. I bombed 2 tests and the final, but with his grading scale I still pulled off a C. Attendance is not mandatory, but GO TO CLASS or you cold be SOL

Really pay attention in his class and take good notes, study the notes and the homework assignments, do the extra credit and study hard on the tests. He drops the lowest test score and make your final count for it, the class isnt to hard like others are saying, i got an A, you just gotta study and try to understand concepts.

Does the best he can to make the information clear. It's a hard subject but he does well at making it understandable. MUST go to class and take very good notes or you'll be lost. Pay attention and take the assignments as a blessing as easy points. Gives u the answers after class

One of the best professors you can take! Notes are extremely helpful. GO TO CLASS or you will get lost! Biweekly assignments, but he gives you answers in class and it really does help your grade. Its a really hard subject, but I cant imagine passing this course with any other teacher besides Wolpert. Absolutely take him with out any hesitation!

Hard class, nice professor. he's very clear with his notes and they help you tremendously on the tests. Just be sure to attend EVERY lecture, take diligent notes, and complete all the assigments on time. Overall good professor, I would recommend him.

It's a great night class, only keeps you for about 2 hours with a break in between. Speaks with clarity and shows the concepts as best he can. He gives you the assignment answers which help, but do well on the tests! there's only 3 and then a final. If you follow the lectures, you don't need the book. I really liked this class, great prof.

MACRO- Best professor I have ever had, great speaker and uses examples you can remember. No need for the book if you go to class and take good notes.

Best professor ever. Always gets us out about 8, (6-9 class). He gives great, comprehensive notes, you don't need the book at all. His tests are decent, he's very fair, and always open for help. He gives bi-weekly assignments online that he GIVES THE ANSWERS TO. You learn a lot, and the workload is terrific. Definitely take him for macro!

Awesome professor. If you are reading this, don't even consider taking any other Economics class. There is no need for the book because he gives such great notes. He gives relevant examples to help you remember the topics. He is a great professor and a great guy. Go to class and study an hour or two before the exam and get a solid B at worst.

Probably one of the best professors at UCF. He takes a dull subject like Macroeconomics and actually makes it interesting, providing awesome examples throughout the class. If you have to take an economics class, definitely take Wolpert.

I HIGHLY recommend Prof Wolpert if you are taking micro. Economics isn't the easiest subject to grasp, but his lectures are interesting and easy to follow. If you go to all of his classes and take good notes you will learn a lot. Tests are fairly easy and he gives the answers to the homework assignments. Easy A if you pay attention!

GREAT Teacher! Go to class because his teaching style was good enough to help me actually understand the hard topics. He gives hw answers in class and even though its a hard subject, makes it easy. Don't waste your money on the book because he not only explains everything perfectly but gives great funny examples you wouldn't find in a textbook.

All the good reports about this teacher on this site are true! I would not have gotten an A in macroeconomics had it not been for this teacher! He makes a boring and tricky subject extremely interesting in his lectures, and gives you the answers to the weekly assignments explicitly at the end of lecture. The tests are difficult, but doable!

Macroeconomics. Definitely take his class if you need this for a GenEd. He is to the point and very understanding, does not ramble on about every topic. Only challenge were the tests, and they were not that bad if you study. Study with the book. He gives answers to the assignments, it can't be easier.

Never got the text. Got an A. If you got the basic concepts in Microecon, you'll be fine w Macroecon. He's really helpful and funny. Great guy. Great professor. Fair amount of studying. Take his night class, lets u out within 2 hours. DEF a hottie. 3 exams plus final and they're in the testing lab which sucks. Whatever u do, attend his lectures unless u can teach urself macro. He explains concepts well and this the course material is hard if ur not into eco. Study hard for exam 1 cause u have the best chance at getting an A on it

Three tests, and a final. Nine or so HW's (he gives you the answers): the last hw is extra credit if you've aced every other one. No textbook. GO TO CLASS. Use his notes and you'll do well, specially if you took AP Macroeconomics or took ENC 2023 (Microeconomics). Can easily get a B, study and you can get an A. He's funny, charming, and really hot.

Great Pfoof, made macro understandable. Class itself is a challenge but he makes it as easy as it is going to be.there are 4 test you take in the testing center. Dont really need the textbook his notes cover everything. Would deff take his class again!

You can basically study the day before the exam and pass it. Do the quizs they help your grade. Nice funny dude. Take good notes. Don't miss a class bc he doesn't post his notes online.

im not going to lie... its a HARD class but he makes it so much better! I sat in on Euzent's class and it was completely horrible. He makes the material understandable by relating it to our lives. You NEED to go to class or you wont understand anything. I know its a bad time but SO worth it. he looks like hes a guy from Law & Order!

if you take macroecon at ucf you have to take it with Dr. Wolpert. hes the best. he simplifies macro and actually makes a lot more interesting than it is. we never go for the full 2 hrs and 50 mins. normally its about 2 hrs and 15 mins, sometimes less with a 15 minute break half way through. Dr. Wolpert is a must take for macro!

Edward Wolpert is a very easy going Professor. He explains the material very well. I bought the book, went to class every time,did all his homework and I ended up with a B. If it was not for the homework as extra credit I would have ended up with a low C or maybe even a high D. He is also very helpful with stuff that you don't understand.

This class is easy if you attend class and take good notes. You don't have to buy the book. There's 4 exams, he drops the lowest exam grade. There's 6 homework assignment, he give the answers at the ending of the class. i did bad on all three exams and still pass the class with a C.

This class is hard just bc of the subject, so do urself a favor & take this prof. I did horrible every single exam, but he designs the assignments to help ur grade. I would buy the book it helps, especially if u miss a lecture. Final exam is cumulative. Wolpert lets u out within 2 hours and he is not bad to look at either.

I didn't buy the textbook, I just went to class, took really good notes, studied all my notes before the test, and passed the class with an A. On a side note, you may end up needing to buy the textbook or getting help if you're not so good at math. But if you are good at math, then don't buy the textbook for him, just go to class and you'll be fine

If you go to class, take good notes, and study them efficiently, you will get an A. He gave some hw assignments that were reviewed in class. You got grades for them and got some EC if you did all of them. The exams are reflective of the hw. I didn't use the book at all because his lectures were good enough.

Dr. Wolpert is a great teacher and keeps things straight forward. 6 assignments he give you the answers and if you do all 6 you get EC. 3 tests and final exam. If you study you will pass. I would definitely take him again.

The guy is entertaining, easy-going, and very knowledgeable. A lot can be learned in this class and it's not hard to get an A or B. If you have the chance, take his class.

Really enjoyed this class. Don't let the time (6-8:50) scare you, because the class flies by and we never stayed later than 8:20. Prof. Wolpert makes the material very clear and keeps Macro as entertaining as it can be. Practice assignments help for tests and if you go to class and study some it's a very easy class. Didn't touch the book.

A really great professor. Succinctly summarizes the chapters into easy to digest lectures. He's also a fun and easy going guy too which helps keep the lectures captivating especially when it is dry material. Gives you the answers to the hw assignments and they are a good tool to study for the exams which you have a week window to take. I recommend!

Go to class!! great teacher, crystal clear, as far as explaining things, no office hours, tests suckk, he's willing to help. Its not impossible to pass, but if macro isnt your thing, you're gonna have to study your ass off. 6 assignments, which he gives the answers to plus 1 extra credit assignment. not bad, but not easy.

Take him if you can. No better or easier macro teacher out there. You will save yourself hours of study if you just go to class...although I only went to two classes and got an A in the course, but I studied a lot on my own. He designs the grading to maximize the chances of you doing well, so if you don't do well it's because you're just lazy! :P

Very nice professor and made Macro as simple as possible. Tests were tricky but not too hard but you have to take good notes and study them to do well. Homework answers were given in class which was like an 18% curve to the overall grade so it does help. Textbook is a good idea. Easy to earn a B but it does take some work to earn an A. Recommended!

This class isnt the easiest. He does his best to make sure everyone does well. I got a B+. At the end of every class he gives you the answers to homework. Go to class and study and you should get a B easily. The book isnt required but does help you study. Hes nice and funny and will help you with whatever you need. Take him!

Great teacher, funny, uses good examples. Really helpful. Talked with him after class for a while about some related material and his explanations were very compelling and helpful. I wish he taught everything.
