he is actually really chill. he can be kind of picky on grammar but as the semester goes on he doesn't stress it as much. oh yeah and the essays you turn in you get to revise them and then turn them in again! don't wait to do the writing center at the end, get it over early!over all he is really great take him!!!

Professor Yoo is great! He's really laid back and has an open mind about writing and everything else. Everyday we discuss really interesting topics like the use of iPods and the meaning behind songs like Empire State of Mind. He offers lots of comments on your essays too and his office hours are really helpful. Take him!!! You won't regret it.

Prof. Yoo is the best! This class was definitely my favorite this semester, and that's coming from a non-English major. I'd say I'm an average writer, but Mr. Yoo helped a lot and I got mostly A's on all his papers. At the beginning of the semester he said he'd be flexible with attendance and he has been if you have valid reasons. BEST PROFESSOR!

Professor Yoo has the most encouraging words that I've ever had with any teacher. He shows true interest in his students. If you ever see him as an English/Composition teacher, GET HIM! I can't stress it enough. I had him for an online class and even that was fantastic! The only way you won't grow as a student with him is if you are not interested.

Probably one of the best English professors I've ever had. His essay prompts are kind of complex but very interesting. All of our readings were on a single website. He was so helpful and approachable. Attendance is mandatory, only because we do a lot of in-class activities that help with the essays and writing assignments.

Professor Yoo is great when it comes to giving clear directions, helping students with essays, and responding to emails. You don't need a text book for his class, all reading assignments are online and easy to read. He can be a hard grader but you will definitely see your essay grades increase over the semester with his writing critiques!

He can be somewhat of a hard grader and have a strict policy on attendance but despite that, he's easily approachable and extremely helpful. You can tell that he actually cares about his students and wants them all to succeed. And even for a 7am class, he was still able to make it interesting. Definitely one of my favorite professors!

Professor Yoo is an awesome English teacher. I took Eng 301 before with a different proffesor and failed the class. When I took Professor Yoo's class it saved my life. We only wrote 3, 4-page essays and one was on how to survive a zombie apocalypse. He did mention he might change it to 4 essays in the future. I would recommend him to any student

He is the best English teacher I've ever had! He assigns us four essays, and gives good feedback. He is very helpful when it comes to feedback because he tells you what you should focus on for your writing. His class is also interesting and he is very engaging. Yoo is seriously the best. He's always welcome to read your paper and give you feedback on what he expects out of them. He's a reasonable grader so as long as you follow his guidelines, you should be fine. It really helps to have him look over your paper before it's due, so take advantage of it!

Great Professor, gives awesome essay topics that are fun to write about. Spends a lot of time walking through the essays and how they should be written. I thought this class was pretty easy, no busy work, 90% of the grade is 4 essays throughout the semester. Lots of conversation and less lecturing, great class enviroment.

I love his class! Easy A. All you have to do is 4 essays and 1 midterm. All of the four essay topics were relatively easy. You have a month to complete each essay along with the time in class to discuss what can be included in your essay. There will be peer-reviews in class time. He grades really easy. He takes attendance, so show up to class!

One of the best English teachers I have ever had! He is such a caring professor and is really helpful. I always went to his office hours to review my essay and it helped a ton. All 4 of his essay topics are interesting and he gives a clear grading rubric. He always goes over in detail how to write each essay so you know what to include in it.

Edward Yoo is a down to earth, incredible professor! You could really tell he loves what he does, and he dedicates himself to his students. Personally, I hate writing essays, but he made the essays fun and different. I felt I really learned a lot in the most enjoyable way possible.

Best english prof I've ever had. All essay topics are fun and interesting. He is funny and does well to involve every student in conversation. This class is challenging. Professor Yoo truly pushes you to do better than you can. The assignments that are given allow for you to broaden your mindset and overall take your writing skills to another level. There are a couple big essays, but prof made them fun. The discussions are also v engaging for anyone. 10/10 recommend.

Professor Yoo was by far the best English professor Ive ever had. He pushes you to be the best writer you can be, but doesnt expect you to get there without help. He makes himself available nearly 24/7 and goes out of his way to make sure every student feels like theyre getting the help they need. Ive always hated writing, but Yoo changed that.

He's very straightforward with what he wants in your essays. Make sure to read the rubric and pay attention to the expectations of the assigned paper. You can skip up to 5 classes after 5 you'll get a penalty. But he's cool and very responsive. He gives good feedbacks and clear grading criteria like you'll know that you deserve the grade you got.

I took this class for Spring 2019. He is an easy grader and tells you exactly what he is looking for in his papers (which makes them easy to write). The class consisted of four essays and one timed-midterm. The midterm had MANY prompts (8 maybe?) which also helped A LOT. TAKE THIS CLASS!! HE IS SO CARING AND COOL.

His homework consists of one discussion every week on Canvas that takes a max of 5 minutes. Around every 4 weeks, you have an essay but you get a lot of guidance and time to write it. Best English class I've taken in my life. No exams, grade is based on 4 papers and one timed write. Essays were the most fun topics to write about. Prof Yoo is a great professor. Online, there is only 3 main papers you need to do and there are many discussions throughout the year. Overall it is an easy class, the only thing that you may have to try on are your papers because it's worth most of your grade, but it should be easy.

Even though the discussions are tedious, they help us prepare for our major writing assignments. Besides from the school, he is a chill prof. and knows how to use memes.
