Worst class I ever had. Way too much material. Terrible teacher.

All he did was real the bold text in the book- and his tests were hard.

Avoid this one like the plague. Listening in class only made me further confused. Test were obscenely hard, with 16 out of a class of 42 failing the midterm. Still wondering how this guy is still teaching here, even with such a high attrition rate.

He cannot relate to his students. This is the hardest class I've ever taken. He makes you feel very stupid. Don't take this class if you want a good grade!

This professor wants to make you feel stupid, his exams are very hard and he treats students as children

i missed the hisfirst 2 classes because of registration problems. i missed a quiz during that time and he gave me a 0. if u choose to take him, never be late, never miss class, read everypage of the textbook, and study 15 hours a day... u should do fine

Absolutely horrible. Does not relate to students, will tell you your questions are stupid. Tests are extremely hard, even if you study. Lectures are terrible, hard to learn from him....might as well pay yourself to learn it!

The worst teacher I ever had. Doesnt have any handouts, or powerpoints even though the material is pretty hard. He has the most annoying voice ever. Hes cynical, full of himself, and often insulting to students. Very unfair policies. Makes learning difficult. If you like him, you're a masochist.

THis guy is way too old to teach, he should be retired by now. His lectures are boring and he is a very though grader.

The class was really hard because he wasn't very clear with his teaching. If you do not get it the first time, then you will be forever lost. I registered for his class late and he counted the day that I wasn't registered as an absence. He is insane!!

I agree, he should have retired a long time ago. He is boring, tough, and I learned nothing from him even though I had to take 3 of his classes. Oh, and don't sit in front. He spits.

I've been here for three years and this is the worst teacher that I've run into at DePaul. Half his class received D's and F's on the midterm and I was top 10 with a C. This teacher is extremelly lame and I feel bad for anyone that gets put in his class. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER.

Cohen is not a teacher. He simply stands in front of the class and talks to himself for an hour and a half. If you ask him a question, he'll try to put you down. Simply the worst teacher here. It is nearly impossible to get an A, unless you read the chapters 10 times each. I know that you have to take him, so beware and do keep up on the HW

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Take this class if you like to learn on your own. He gives horrible explinations and does not go over the material well. Midterm and Final are very hard. Grading is done based on midterm and final and a few points for homework.

The WOST teacher I've come accross in all of my years of learning. Over half the class had to drop after the midterm- I don't know why I didn't. He is older than the hills and subsrcibes to some form of teaching that was popular with the pilgrims. Under no circumstances should you take him- Wait for summer school.

He CANNOT teach. Don't waste your money. I understand that students have to do their part, but he still CANNOT teach.

A C in this class is an A in most others, so please ignore the cocky comment below. That person doesn't know squat. This class is ridiculous and he should not be teaching it anymore.

TERRIBLE!!!! Class average on the midterm was a 63%. He will doc -5 points off any question u answer and don't show work for, EVEN IF U CIRCLED THE CORRECT ANSWER. He stands and points at the book. Take Prof. Towers. She will teach in a real world style that will make you learn and ENJOY this class. This guy just brings everyones GPA down. RETIRE!

Clearly a smart dude but completely misses the point of him even being in a class full of people that are new to the topic. He just sort of reads and lectures to himself. To add to the frustration, he'll "argue" w/himself the INNUMERABLE merits of his teaching style. I think people confuse good intentions & difficulty with actual quality.

This Professor is fine if u are an independent learner, you will basicially be able to teach everything to yourself because you will never learn a thing from his lectures. He is boring, talks throught whole class, does little to engage you. His tests are unnecessarily long, poorly worded, and gramatically incorrect. Proceed with caution.

Okay...this class made acc 305 seem impossible. It's a hard class and you have to study on your own! Unless you are a genius..be prepared to study study read and read etc... Otherwise it's not going to be well.

Any other prof. is better than Cohen! I am a 4.0 student and this was my last quarter... he will tank your GPA and seems to enjoy failing students. Studying seemed useless with the degree of difficulty this guy places on students. Removes points if you DO NOT SHOW UR WORK ON MULTI CHOICE QUESTIONS, NO JOKE.

ACCOUNTING MAJORS: Write to the board to add different teachers. This guy's sole purpose for waking up each morning is to fail you and make your life miserable. DO NOT TAKE.

don't trust those yellow faced comments. I heard that some are fake so that students will take cohen and leave the other teachers' class open. I've heard many people say to avoid him. He is super hard.

Do whatever you can to get into another instructor's section. He may be very knowledgeable, but that doesn't mean he knows how to get that info across to students. It's one thing to have to work harder and another to have to teach yourself and have to attend class. What exactly is his job?

This professor is horrible. ZERO students in a class of 30 got an A on his midterm. He spends hours going over material that he barely puts on his exam and then claims that everything on his exams are covered in class (yeah, right). Absolutely avoid him.

Ok so just got back midterm grades for our class: 0 A's, 5 B's, 10 C's, 8 D's, 10 F's. And this is after his curve! Class average was a 62%. Kids with 3.5 and higher GPA's failed. If that doesn't tell you that he can't teach idk what will. The worst professor ever! Blames students for everything and discourages them from majoring in Accounting!

His final is the hardest exam I have ever taken in my life. No matter how much you study you will probably fail. P.S. I am an A student.

DePaul should FIRE him.

IF u think you can pass his class like i did. THINK AGAIN.. I dropped his course after my midterm exam and studied so hard for. He is OLD and very discouraging.. I remembered him saying something in comparison with the CPA exam. He wont care if his exams were more difficult even if u pass the CPA exam on ur first try.

Terrible.Bad.Worst.Ever.OF ALL TIME.midterm class avg was about a 42% dropped this joke n took Trendell the following quarter.It was on a saturday but I gotta good grade and actually learned.Didnt even need to look at the book as a reference.

Awful. 1 A- and 1 B was given. Everyone else got D's and F's on the midterm. He informed us that you must spend 25 hours in his class a week to get an A. Unless you are obsessed with accounting and are willing to put in that amount of time just for his class, you will drop and you will waste your money. He has been teaching for over 50 years...

Worst Prof I've ever had in my entire life. Told us to read the chapter 3 times if need be. His final was ridiculously hard. Half the people dropped after midterm. Everyone in class is sitting in same boat hoping they at least pass. At this point, I'm just praying for a C-. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT A GOOD GRADE!!! Class started with 22 kids but dropped to 7 after the midterm so that should be an indication right there. Highest grade given was 82%
