He is a very interesting teacher. He is very respectful and helpful. If you paid some effort in the papers and went to the writing center, you will probably guarantee an "A." His class was never boring. I would recommend him to anybody.

Prof Neagle is awesome! I had him for english 111 over the summer. I hate english but he made the class so fun and enjoyable to go to. He's very helpful and will explain the material in many different ways so that you understand how to properly write an essay. I would 100% recommend taking him and wish he taught more of my classes!

Took him forever to grade the essays. The class discussions often evolved around his opinion, unfortunately he hardly ever knew what he was talking about. Otherwise, it was an easy A.

Mr. Neagle has a bright future at a university if he wants it. He takes his time grading papers because he cares about students, and is willing to help one-on-one. Opinionated, but inspires creativity. I disagreed with him on several issues & he didn't grade me differently than anyone else. Take someone else if you want a boring class.

Great all around teacher. Took a while to grade papers but thats understandable since he had to teach more classes than planed due to other teachers taking a leave of abscence. Grades papers fairly. I knew when i did well and not so well and the grades correlated. Just take his class you will not be disappointed.

Mr. Neagle is what a professor should be, motivated to really teach people something. He does have opinionated talks during class but they are subjects that everyone should be thinking about but most choose to ignore. If you want a teacher who really cares about teaching and who will keep you interested then you have found the one. I love his class

Definitely a teacher who loves his job. Very enthusiastic about teaching and incorporating fun lessons. Don't ask stupid questions, he may call you out. Does a very poor job of grading assignments on time and updating blackboard accurately. Overall, a fantastic professor.

Awesome, and really fun class. He really gets his students to try and learn/think in new and exciting ways. Definttely not your average style, but it is really interesting.

Best teacher I've ever had. Classes are consistently interesting and relaxed. Takes time to grade papers but the cites all his comments to references in the book so you can learn the right way. HIGHLY recommend.

Great Teacher! Mr. Neagle is a great instructor, he LOVES debating things in class and your class participation will reflect in your grade. I got B's mostly on my papers and I don't even know what I got on my last paper or the final written paper but I know they were only a B at best and yet I still received an A in the Class! Take him if you can!

I took Mr. Neagle for ENG 111 and couldn't get in his 112 class so I waited a semester until I could. In 111 he taught us what good writing really is--essentially it's good thinking. He taught me the importance of meaningful thesis creation and helped identify some grammar weaknesses. In 112 he taught me how to "argue" like an adult. Take him.

This is my third English class at Wake Tech and Win Neagle is by far the best English Professor I've taken. Loves what he teaches and really wants to see his students get involved in real debate. Super easy midterm and straight forward papers.

Definitely take Mr. Neagle for any class you can. This is one of the only classes I enjoy going to every time. Class time is interesting and fun and he makes it easy to learn new things. The only assignments are basically writing papers but he gives you free reign on them. Funny and cool teacher~

This class was one of the highlights of my college career. Dynamic and fun, but you must be prepared to think for yourself and express your thoughts on paper. Always available to discuss papers during office hours.

Mr. Neagle is fantastic. Funny, thoughtful, smart, and caring. He lectures, but he has such emotion that it isn't boring at all. Lots of group activities in class and fun videos. Basically, all you need to do is write 2 free reign papers and you're done. So the load is easy but you will get a lot out of it!!

Mr. Neagle is one of my favorite teachers at Wake Tech. He really makes you think and he creates an amazing learning environment. I loved talking about all the different topics in his class. He is also very funny and keeps his class laughing. We work on many different activities and he keeps it controversial- which is awesome. Definitely recommend.

Professor Neagle is very nice and helpful if you ask for it but he is a TOUGH grader! I swear for the first paper he knocked off a letter grade for just missing a comma. The majority of the class made 60's which is bad on his part. Sign up for his class if you're willing to put in a lot of effort. He does do "extra credit" group work which is fun.

Great teacher, his lectures are a lot of fun. He really likes it if you participate. Only downside is that he is a tough grader but he will let you revise all your papers if you want and resubmit (which is amazing). If you are not willing to start writing 2 or 3 weeks ahead of the deadline, don't take the class with him.

I am not the kind of person to be interested in English class, but professor Neagle actually made me excited for my freshman English class. I would totally take another class with him!

Four papers, MLA quiz, daily writing in a journal turned in at end of semester, and a final. He gives you a VERY similair MLA study sheet so just review before class. Multiple opportunities throughout semester for xtra credit(we got xTra credit just for perfect attendance!) I never asked, but he would ALWAYS offer help to students. Take his class.

Mr. Neagle is the bomb! I took his 111 class after my boyfriend recommended it to me. Now I'm enrolled in his 112. He is by far the best English professor I have ever have and recommend any student looking for an English prof. to take him. He makes class fun and helps you with your papers if needed. 10/10

Such an incredible professor. He's a bit nutty, so be warned, but he's hilarious and always means well. His lectures are long but I never found myself counting down the minutes, because he's always keeping everyone engaged. He's a tough grader, and a majority of your grade is comprised of 2 papers and a final, but he helps you through it all.

He gives great lectures, you almost never have homework, but he expects you to work on your papers. Since there is no homework, he expects very amazing and easy to read papers. Volunteer for extra credit and for feedback on papers. Papers are difficult to write, but you can pass this class.

I thought Eng112 was gonna be like Eng111 and just wanted to get it over with and never take another English class. Eng112 was had a totally different feel, Mr. Neagle gives students valuable insight into all aspects of life. His class was so inspirational I decided to take more English classes, none of which have lived up to the high bar he set.

Mr. Neagle was my favorite professor. I personally hate writing, but I learned a lot from him. Class is always fun and he usually lets you out 15-30 minutes early everyday. He grades really hard but tells you what he is looking for in your paper. A bad grade is only if you don't follow directions. I am actually taking his ENG112 class this semester

Mr. Neagle made a dreaded class fun. While the grades come from papers he was very clear with what he expected and was available to help throughout the writing process.

He is by far the best English Professor I ever had. He cares about the substance of your papers and not in nit picking on grammar. He asks for 2 papers the whole semester, which is awesome! But you better make sure it's a nice paper, because that is 60% of your grade!! He is also very funny and easy going. He is also very clear in what he expects.

Professor Edwin Neagle really cares about what he is teaching to his students. Neagle is a tough grader though. You have to work pretty hard to make sure your papers are up to his standards. Other than that class is great and we always have interesting readings in the Wake Tech Reader. He also hands out a very helpful study guide for the MLA test.

Mr. Neagle is a great teacher but a really tough grader. A few mistakes in your essay could result in a less than desirable grade. If you are willing to put in the time to perfect your essays you will do very well. He doesn't have many other grades to enter so the essays are crucial.

I wouldn't say Professor Neagle is hard, but you do have to work in his classes. You have to put in real effort. He's funny, he's interesting, and he's very dad-like. Opportunities for extra credit are always present, and you have a lot of time to work on upcoming assignments. Take his class, you won't regret it.

He the kindest as well as the fairest instructor I've ever had. I would have never passed 111 and 112 without him. He is motivating and inspiring. I actually gave him a thank you card on the last day of 112.

I LOVED Professor Neagle. He was challenging, but completely worth it. Don't take this class if you don't like reading, or if you're going to procrastinate and do your work the last minute. You really do have to put the work in. However, he's interesting, he's funny, his lectures are never boring. I would take his classes over and over if I could.

I took Prof. Neagle for ENG 111 and am taking him again for 112. I hated English all throughout high school, but Prof. Neagle makes it fun. He helps you work and develop your papers in class and doesn't give much work outside of class. He keeps his lectures fun and jokes around a lot. I highly recommend Prof. Neagle.

Mr. Neagle is such a wonderful teacher! I enjoyed him so much in Eng 111 that I have taken his class again for Eng 112. He really cares about every one of his students and knows that we all have lives outside of class. He is very understanding! The only thing that I would say Mr. Neagle is not quick on is grading.

A pretty solid professor. He's very kind and helpful. I took his class in Spring 2020 and when things switched online midsemester, he remained consistent and punctual.

Took online during covid. Appreciated the feedback on the two major papers. Was very quick to respond to e-mails even late at night. Definitely came out a better writer.

i was so nervous for this class but he was such a great teacher- always there to help if you need it, once responded to me at 1 am. If you struggle with essays then reach out to him and ask specific questions on what he wants in your essay and you'll be fine. there are 2 major essays, and I got a 95 on my first then a 97 on the second. very lovely!

Two papers, incredibly helpful and clear expectations. He expects you to have a solid foundation on your grammar components and WILL take off points for basic errors. However, I found that if you give a solid argument with unique components and fulfill all other parts of the rubric you'll get an A just fine. Couldn't be happier!

I took his class way back before the pandemic took hold. But I loved every second, he was so supportive of my struggles to write, and helped me through these things. But you have to attend his class and be ready to talk through ideas you have.

Take this guy, you wont regret it. Class is graded mostly off of a couple of papers and timed essays, so if you know how to write you'll be fine. He gives great feedback on papers and will answer all your questions thoroughly. My class switched online partway through and he was still able to teach effectively.

Super understanding and will try to work with you if there's things you need help understanding or if you have other obligations besides class, as long as its reasonable. Grades fairly and makes sure to give detailed feedback on essays so that you know exactly why you earned that grade and what to improve on next time. He was lowkey funny, too

Take his class! Semester was graded by two papers and a timed final paper. His classes are so interesting and he is hilarious. He is very understanding if you need to submit something late, as long as you communicate with him. He gives wonderful feedback on the papers. He offers extra credit for participating in class. Wow. I really enjoyed my experience with Professor Neagle. He keeps the energy up in a class that really has no energy at all. You get graded off of two papers, and a final paper. Very easy with the grading. For the first paper I submit (worth 20%) I got a 95, all the while expecting 10 points less. Definitely recommend.

He is super nice and funny. The class was always fun and gave out extra credit for many things. There are two major papers (20 and 40%) that can be switched in grading if it benefits you. If don't do well on the first paper you can write it again and he will average from the grade you got in the rewrite and in the original paper.

Professor Neagle was one of the best English teachers I've ever had. He is funny and teaches in a way where you enjoy learning about what he is talking about. You do 3 papers in this class and he gives you lots of time to be prepared for them. One of which is the final exam. He gives great feedback on essays and you have lots of ex cred available.

Professor Neagle is great. He's entertaining, engaging, and very knowledgeable. He's very eloquent when it comes to addressing sensitive topics that require nuance. We were graded on two essays, a simple quiz on MLA conventions, and our daily free writing. Absolutely immaculate vibes in class.

I took Creative Writing with Professor Neagle. This was my first experience with him. He is a great teacher and really cares about his work and students and wants us all to succeed. Put effort into class and you'll do just fine. I would definitely take again without a doubt.

Professor Neagle was a great teacher who was laid back. There aren't too many grades & there are extra credit opportunities given throughout the semester. He had told us that that most of the projects given were completely new for this semester. The projects we did had clear rubrics & he was able to clearly answer any questions we had about them.

He is a great option for Eng112. His lectures can be long sometimes but he's very on top with extra credit opportunities and lenient on grading. Slow grader but that is made up for with his kindness and inclusivity.
