This lady is tuff as nails, she is specific and any alteration of her expectations is unacceptable. Don't try and make it fun or cute because she wont like it. She is very serious and not always easy to talk to. Her stare could cut skin!
very tough. she has expectations and if you don't live up to it you will get dinged. Tough research paper. Test kinda tough. I didn't feel comfortable going to talk to her.
Very challenging professor. Take my advice and follow her instructions to a t. Make sure you read all of the material assigned and you will do good in her class.
This teacher was extremely difficult to please, although her lectures were very informative, she only wanted the students to regergatate the opinion she presented.
Very hard and rather intolerant of disenting opinion. Her comments on the research paper are brutal and she has only one model of a well done research paper. I would suggest to take some one else if possible.
The professor knows her stuff, but she has a very undesirable personality. She is very insensitive and is not easily approachable. On the bright side though you will learn a lot.
Very hard class. Read all material.
One of the best professors I have had at this school.
This was a great class. I really learned a lot and it gave me a whole new way of thinking about children. I really recommend this class!
I went to CSUF for four yours and she is probably the worst professor I have EVER had. She is extremely unapproachable and likes to put people on the spot to make herself superior. The actual work and exams were not that bad but I really hated going to class. I do not recommend her at all! STAY AWAY
A challenging course that she doesn't make any easier. She doesn't make learning fun, rather a chore. Still an interesting course if you are up for a challenge.
She makes you do alot of reading and volunteer in class, but it is beneficial and interesting.
She is hard and confusing. She bounces around and her notes are hard to take. Her tests are hard. Do the reading
She is rude to students. Acts like she is listening to you but never answers the question. Unclear about what she wants! One of the worst professors--very unprofessional!
A **** and has no problems displaying her dislike for anything but Caucasians.
She really wants you to pass the class. She cares about her students!
As I am rating this professor, I'm hoping that she will get to read this comment..I strongly suggest her to be more generous with the grades for students who give the try..she did not give credits to some students for their hardwork and courage in doing extra credit inclass presentation, but attacke
What kind of professor is this? At the end of the semester I emailed and asked her about my final test score and course grade, she replied me and said she doesn't have time for emails regarding grade. Other professors dont treat students like that!
She is a very hard teacher. She doesn't help her students and makes no bones about calling you out to make you look stupid.
makes school and life hard!
Easy internship experience. Do the papers and the hours and you are good to go. She wants all her students to succeed and challenges them, which is expected in college. Do the work and don't be lazy, you will enjoy it, do well, and learn about the world.
This teacher is bad bad bad. I read & annotated everything, participated in discussion. Mostly A's and some B's on everything...up until final. She failed me and everyone else in the class. Got a C. Ruined my GPA. How can someone do well throughout the semester and get a C? Avoid at all costs!!! ps the books cost too much!
I enjoyed the class, she is a bit eccentric but I dig her style. Didn't do much reading but I took good notes and her lectures are interesting. Overall she is compassion about her studies and wants you to succeed! I'd like to take another course with her! Highly recommended.
Were to start? This lady needs to retire! She is set in her ways and what she says goes!I did learn a lot in the class but she can work your nerves!!!She can be very rude at times and I sometimes felt like she was trying to insult students in the class.Kind of an "old bittie". If you can get past her rude ways without telling her off, take the class.
This class was interesting..she gave lot of information..however, i agree this teacher needs to retire..she is rude..and believes she is ALWAYS right..she is avaialbe to help,,her tests were tricky..she is bitter and thinks she is the ultimate..not!.. i did all the extra credit passed her tests and still got a C!...participate but watch what u say!

Believe it or not but she served as the chair for my thesis committee. I found her very very helpful compared to other professors. She's the type of professor that is going to make you think and wants you to be successful :)

Very rude to students during lectures. puts students on the spot. no papers for the class! Your grade is 3 tests = 300 points, don't really have room for error!!mult. choice and essay test.
She knows what she is talking about. Gives very interesting lectures, I really enjoyed going to her class. Her tests are a test of what you know, very challenging. Participate and she will like you. She does put students on the spot all the time so be ready
the discussions were easy to follow. the study guides say exactly what the test is on.
Was a good interesting teacher.. Has three test.. and group discussion.. she is a little minded sometimes... but is an easy test.. Her study guides are alot of work if you want to do it, but you get a page of notes for the test however you want to do them, she has a few different extra credit if you need it. Overall easy class.
she's good teacher. her lectures and notes are very informative but will put you on a spot, you have to catch up with assignment before going to class so you can earn points for participation or she'll put u on spot.the study guide is great cuz it covered everything on test. Complete your assignments and you will be fine.
Totally reccommend her for soc. of families. Her lecutres are informative and give out a extensive study guide that covers everything on the exams. You can bring a sheet of notes and she has extra credit available. She'll put you on the spot so be prepared beofre you go into class. Great professor
in the beginnning she seemed very hard. first exam was ok but then as u ask her questions its ez,lets u use 1pg notes, 15 pts ec. very informative, smtms seems like shez insulting u. i recommend her.. i took her over the summer so take her then...
I loved her class! If you do the reading you'll be fine.
she's a rude person..she likes to help students at the same time...she puts you down..(on the spot)!!! dont like her at all =(
Professor Krampe is very nice and professional. Her lectures are very informative and interesting.
I hated her she was so hard and she required to much reading. Dont take unless you have lots of time and dedication.
If you love sociology and a good challenge, I would recommend this prefessor. Her lectures are clear and professional and shows a definate interest in the course material. This was my favorite course during the semester.
She's a nice lady and presents herself well, but when you ask for help one on one she's a little difficult to work with.
She is one of the worst professors I have ever had! She turned me away as I went to see her in her office!
She is mean and hard and she does not help students she kind of puts them down. I would not take unless you have a lot of time.
Hard but fair.Very informative.I'm not sure what other students are saying about her putting anyone down. She just expects you to participate or she'll pick you.Tests are not hard unless you dont read the book. Her lectures are so helpful and she's very approachable in every aspect. She's very professional but she does require you to know your stuff.
She is one of the most helpful professors I have had. Her class is difficult but, if you read and study you will do great. She has three test all have study guides plus, she gives opportunities to earn extra credit, so there is no excuse if you do not do well.
Makes you earn your Grade. She is not an easy or "hard" prof but TRUST ME when I say this:YOU WILL LEARN A LOT FROM HER.Very intelligent and approacable during class and office hrs.Gives 3 Tests, not cumulative. Can use 1pg of cheatsheet per test.1 paper.15possible xtra credit pts.30points for participation.FAIR GRADER!And she's pretty hot for 56!
She is a very nice lady. Knows her stuff. I took her once a week for almost 3 hours and she kept me awake by making the class interesting. Easy class, just pay attention to her notes. she even offers extra credit. Cares about her class.
Dr. Krampe is one of the nicest and most helpful professors I've ever had. Her "Family" class is really interesting. She's organized and her lectures are never dull. The readings are very interesting. (The only problem is that you have to meet in groups to discuss them, and my groups sucked.) I highly recommend taking Dr. Krampe.
Dr. Krampe is an excellent teacher. Her class was extremly informative. You will learn EVERYTHING about families from every society in her class. You cannot help but relate in this class, which makes it worthwhile. Her grading is fair, she is not hard but she does require you to work for you grade!
Very nice and knows her stuff. I learned so much from this class. Has 3 exams and all from reading and notes. She offers many opportunities for extra credit. She encourages the students to participate in class also. I don't know what some of the students were complaining about before but didn't find Prof. Krampe to be anything like they stated.
She "puts people on the spot" when they havent read... Those people make themselves look stupid because they havent made an effort to read. There is a lot of reading so be ready for that. I learned a lot and loved this class. She was more than willing to help. Take the time to do the study guides/read and the tests are easy :)
One of my favorite professor. You will get a good grade if you attend class regularly, listen to the lecture, and do assigned reading. She offer plenty of extra credit and allows cheat sheet on test. she was very nice and helpful. I recommend :)
She was all over the place in lectures. One minute she'd use the over head another minute she'd turn on the lights to write on board. Back and forth, back and forth. If you can handle unorganized notes. Take this teacher. Subject is very interesting though!
She is a great teacher and knows her stuff. She has a lot of life experiences that go along with her lectures and makes the topics easier to comprehend. She even allows a sheet of notes for the test which is helpful. She also provides a study guide, so just study that. It's a fun class and interesting topics. I'd reccommend her.
If you enjoy good lectures and someone who is passionate about teaching then look no further. If you want PowerPoint gimmicks and videos look somewhere else. She also lets you use one sheet of notes on the test.
She's kind of scatterbrained but overall not a bad class. She still uses an overhead projector not powerpoint, and there is not a lot of material on Bb so go to class. Study for the tests, and make good use of your cheat sheet!
Professor knows her stuff. Cut and dry and straight to the point. She has no room for forgiveness. She is not friendly to other professors either, and can come off condescending. When something is due, it is due, no excuses. Kind of cold and unsympathetic old school kind of teacher.
I enjoy taking her classes. She's direct and to the point about material. Attendence and reading is a must, but there are no surprises in her class. Any questions and concerns and she's more then happy to help. I highly recommend her.
Krampe is an excellent professor, one of the best in the soc dept. As a senior soc major I would know. The clarity of her lectures refreshing. Her tests are 90% lecture, so if you are a competent note taker, not one of those people who print out the power point and pretend to take notes, you should get an easy A. This woman worked in the field as m
Krampe is an excellent professor, one of the best in the soc dept. The clarity of her lectures is refreshing. Tests are all lecture, don't print out the power point and pretend to take notes. She was a medical social worker, intervening on the behalf of people in need. Her teaching style reflects her liberal attitude but she is a pistol!
I was shocked at how many people didn't understand the class material. If you listen to her, she makes everything extremely easy. Don't just copy down notes, make an effort to listen to her explanations. Expect to engage in discussion (you're in college, get over the aversion to public speaking already), and just ask if something's unclear.
not very helpful, hard tests, very forgetful, doesnt like to answer your questions...do not take this class!
Pretty straight forward class. She teaches very well, very knowledgeable. 3 tests, one paper, bunch of extra credit opportunities. If you don't like to read don't take her. You do in class explanations of reading for class participation grade. Good amount of Qs on the tests are also from the readings.
This professor is unclear to her requirements. She is extremely strict and expects students to read her mind as to what she wants. She grades papers according to whatever she feels like, without showing any rubric or logical grading. Do not take her!
Class is super easy. 3 tests that you get a 1 page cheat-sheet for and a paper. Also, 2 extra credit opportunities. You are required to do a lot of reading, but I never did and got 2 Bs and a C on the tests. The paper is SUPER easy and only 3-4 pages. Her power points are bulleted so her lectures are detailed but she knows what she's talking about.
This woman is horrible! She's the reason why tenure should be abolished. Goes back on her word. Gets her students confused. Ruined my GPA. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!
Gets offended and defensive when you ask her important questions. She isn't as friendly and patient as she can or should be. Don't take this class unless you have excellent writing skills and are familiar with APA format. She takes away 1% of your overall grade for each mistake after the first 3 mistakes. She controls 60% of grade; internship 40%.
She gave out detailed study guides before all of her exams. Most of the questions on the exam came right out of the lectures and Power Points. I think it was an easy A. My niche was that I retyped the study guides in my own words and used the index in the book to find what I was missing and just re-read it over and over.
Took SOC 351 Online. She requires you to come in person to the orientation, 2 midterm exams and the final.. all on campus in the evenings. She provides helpful study guides which was good, and allows 1 page notes for exams. She is strict with grading final paper and has certain requirements that she is unclear about, no outline for the final paper.
Caring and helpful, she is one of the best professors in the sociology department!
ridiculous grading system for the internship class. The Dr I worked under for my internship gave me above satisfactory marks on nearly everything AND I RECEIVED A 70% when she tallied the evaluation. I met with her to discuss it. to get an A or B in the final evaluation you have to radically change the company your interning w. Farewell 4.0...
WORST TEACHER ON CAMPUS. She is very unclear, confusing, and not helpful. Her lectures are decent but that material is not reflected on the exam. The only good thing about the class is you get to use a cheat sheet on the tests. You basically teach yourself the material and if you have questions, you're on your own.
Great professor, lectures were spot on and she was very helpful during office hours. I was pleased with the grade that I EARNED.
The internship was a challenge, but I learned a lot. I had a positive experience, made sure to check-in throughout the semester when I needed advice and guidance.
If you go to class and participate in the class discussions an A is attainable. The readings she assigns are very interesting and she is passionate about sociology ! I have noticed that this class is taken by many students who are not sociology majors which could explain the poor review. I would highly recommend her!
Although this class was very interesting and the professor was passionate about the subject, she has no clarity. Does not provide adequate answers to questions, does not provide clarity on assignments, and frequently changes her mind about her grading rubric for essays, which makes it hard to get a solid A
She is the best professor at CSUF hands down. I've taken 2 classes with her so far and have nothing but good things to say. The material I learned in class has changed my life, highly recommended!
Summer course, INTENSE. 4 discussions with 3-4 questions in each. 3 short writings, and 2 exams. She had us read several articles every week. The discussions were in depth but if you read, it was manageable. It was not an easy course for me, but I followed her instructions and read all the material so I was able to get an A-.
This class is very interesting BUT the professor is horrible. This is my last year at CSUF and I was forced to drop this class due to receiving a F on the first test. This class is worth a total of 200 points in which the 3 tests are worth 50 points each. There is NO room for error. This class is way too much work for 3 units.
Dr Krampe is really nice and always willing to help but her teaching is horrible. Lectures are confusing and tests are HARD! You have to read and answer questions from the book and then discuss. She is a really hard grader. This was a class that I was always scared whether I was going to pass or not. I passed but it made my semester a horrible one.
HESC major but took this class for a minor so it was challenging but I still passed. Read all the assigned readings & participate in discussions. Her ppts have extra notes for you to study and her papers were easy, just have to do exactly what she asks. So don't take this class if you don't put in effort. Just ask her if you need help, she's nice
Her lectures seem easy enough. But the tests are very difficult. Pay attention in lectures and do the readings. Study hard for exams. Dr. Krampe is worth taking because she's an extremely caring professor and will help you pass the class any way she can.
Dr. Krampe is inspirational!
Dr. Krampe is an excellent orator, she lectures better than MOST of the other people in her department.
Krampe is a great professor who knows what she is doing. She really makes you work for your grade. If you are expecting an easy class that you can not show up to class and pass minimal effort, then this class is not for you. This class has a total of 3 online exams, a research paper, and many articles you HAVE to read and discuss during class.
I really enjoyed this class and i learned a lot from Professor Krampe. However, the wording in the tests threw me off a bit. The final paper is pretty simple. But do attend lectures and read because you never know what number she'll call on for participation. She's super knowledgable and real sweet. I would take her again
Dr. Krampe is a great professor. It is a must-take class if you are a sociology major. It is a great introductory class to learn more about what social work really is. In order survive and make this class enjoyable, reading and participating in class is a must. Highly recommend.
Professor Krampe is very sweet and wants to help, but is very unclear in her lectures and does not provide great examples. All she does is lecture so if your a visual learner this is not the class for you. The class discussions on case studies were not helpful. She is a very tough grader, but lets you re-do some papers and get extra points on test.
Professor Krampe was one of the more challenging teachers I've had, but the class itself was great. She is very knowledgeable on the topic and gives great explanations for the concepts. Be prepared to read a lot and to put in a lot of work for a good grade. Tests are HARD so study and ask questions!
She is knowledgeable. She's very particular about participation, when you raise your hand she will not give you full credit unless it meets her criteria. She's super anal but is not very difficult to talk to. I would not recommend her as a profesor to take, very impersonal and her class is always tense.
DONT TAKE HER!! She is the worst professor I've ever had at Fullerton. She's so rude and disrespectful, when you ask her questions she just snaps at you. Her lectures are all repetitive and she ignores questions. Super hard grader. By far the worst class and professor at Fullerton.
She's probably the worst sociology professor I've had. Her lectures are dull. For a family class there is not much discussion about the material or lectures other than the articles she assigns. She's pretty rude and does not care about your success in the class.
I took her online under the name Edythe Walker. For me she was a super tough online course teacher. She demands a lot of work from you, but gets back to emails at a fair time.
I would not take her ever again. I dont think i really learned anything. She made such an interesting subject boring. Her online tests are super hard and is very tough grader on her discussion posts. Sometimes i would not even know why i was getting points taken off. Only good thing is she responds to emails. Lots of reading.
Given that it was a 400 level class, it was a pretty tough class. There were too many articles to read (most of them were boring) and the exams were hard. She is also a tough grader so you really have to take into consideration of her feedbacks. I worked really hard for my B-!
I had her for Soc 351 online and honestly she's the most difficult Professor you can possibly take online. She's not very clear with her assignments and does not update your grade throughout the semester. She took forever to submit my final grade. Will not take her class again!
