I've never written a review on here, but I should warn anyone who is reading because it was a mistake to take her lab class. She talks for two hours before we can even start the lab so we are forced to stay full time almost every lab. She gives hard quizzes and barely credits you for the two unnecessary essays she assigns.

Worst professor ever! Avoid at all cost. She does not know how to teach. Gives you exams that needs 5 hours to be solved. She does not care at all and does not know how to explain things. I hate her.

Very tough class. She knows her stuff, but I don't feel like she teaches because she likes to teach, but rather because she feels she knows it so well. Doesn't take attendance, never ask for names, doesn't involve the class in discussion, is not approachable for questions, never interacts with students. VERY tough grader and tester. Don't do it.

EXTREMELY difficult and a tough grader. The labs itself were fairly easy, but her weekly quizzes are all short answer. She will mark you down if you make a mistake on A WORD. For a lab course, she lectures for half of the class period. There are much easier lab professors. This class is impossible.

Do not, do not, do not take her as a lab instructor. You will dread every lab as I did. She is a terrible instructor and terrible teacher, and doesn't like answering any q's. Her lectures take up more time than the lab itself, and quizzes are very difficult short answer. There are also 2 papers that you need to write, yes papers,in intro BIO lab.

Memorize her slides, she doesn't believe in synonyms or concepts. Book won't help and she doesn't post her slides. You don't need to understand the info, just regurgitate it. I will avoid her at all costs. This was more annoying than Orgo (orgo is at least enjoyable in some ways) Do not take, find another class. That said, she is funny sometimes.

The worst professor ever. Please don't take her. Her grading is inconsistent. She would put 4 pts for a tiny question and 2 pts for an essay. She also asks you about stuff she does not explain in class in the exam. On the final she told us 5% will be cumulative but ended up putting 20% cumulative material.

By far worst professor I have ever taken. She gives you a lecture for 3 hours and only gives you 45 minutes to do the lab. She is extremely inconsistent on her grading scale. She messed up my grade and wouldnt email me back until the semester was over. Please trust me and DO NOT take her even if she the only lab professor available.

professor sonntag is a really tough grader and is rude to her students. She is very unapproachable and makes you feel stupid if you ask question. Dont take lab with her, shell make it way harder than it should be.

Shes a tough grader, she will mark you down for the littlest of things or she will mark you down and not say completely why. Her grading is inconsistent. She Assigned two research papers that no other lab professor gave their student, barely anyone in my class passed with an A.

Proffesor sonntag is funny but she is an awful professor. She has the hardest lab quizzes and does not post grades on canvas until the end.

Her lectures are super boring and long. She sits on her desk during lab and will not walk around and help students. She's very lazy and doesn't care about her students. Don't take her if you don't have to.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HER. She is by far the worst professor i've ever taken. No one in my lab passes with an A. Her averages on her lab quizzes were always 6/10. Her lab quizzes are extremely hard and she's a tough grader when it comes to lab reports.

She's lenient with grading the lab's but when it comes to quizzes they are just horrible! She would give you a random species that you have no information on a few days before the quiz and then expect you to become an expert on it in a few days! Her lectures are just horrid, she usually joins and talks about how hard her second job is mostly.

Any attempt to be personable with her goes ignored. Assigns more than other lab professors without taking into account the added time they take. Exams are set up by assigning a random animal and applying concepts to that specific animal. Which in theory sounds great, but she gives you no direction or resources on what she expects, hard to succeed

Almost 100% sure you will regret taking her. She is the worst teacher I haver had in all of my schooling. She doesn't respond to any of her emails or texts. She also grades with her eyes closed, she is very inconsistent and does not provide explanations. She will give you 100% on the first half of the test, and 0 points for the rest. Horrible.

let me start off on saying how im a straight A student my whole life. i managed to FAIL this class. she eye ball grades each lab, you'll never get higher than a 6/10, lucky if you get a 7. her tests are crazy heavy and the average is always 60%/lower. she does not respond or fix anything, she'll mark you 0 on accident and wont fix it. SAVE UR GPA!

If I could give her 0 stars, I would. I'm confident she grades with her eyes closed as she is consistently late to all meetings and only ever complains about her second job. I really wish there was a tag option that says: DOES NOT CARE. I reached out to her several times throughout the semester, received a response 1 in every 5 times. She doesn't care about her students whatsoever and an all around horrible professor. The idea behind her extra papers is fine, but she gives you nothing to go on. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS

Very disappointed. Ridiculous amount of work for the level of content covered. Labs worth 1% of total bio grade but could be 8-10 hours of work each week when done right. The 4 tests were cruelly short (45min) with short response that required more than could be done in the timeframe, 60% averages. Even if you are a good student, avoid this lab.

Always comes in late, always has an excuse

This is like a whole other bio class. We have 4 exams worth 50pts each when the labs are only 8pts. There is also an essay that's mandatory for her class. She grades extremely tough. There are also assigned animals for the semester that she uses for every test, which is tough and all free responses. She is horrible and grades based on how she feels

Professor Sonntag is consistently late in all of the meetings. I do concur that she grades with her eyes closed, and she does not fix grades, not a professor that you want to take.

Don't take her it's genuinely not worth it she will make you hate your life. She'll hand out exam revision sheets with over 100 terms and expect you to memorize them for a 20 question exam. She doesn't give out grades until the end of the semester so it's not like you get a chance to moniter your grades or get an opportunity to alter them. I=

This professor was tardy most of the time. She seemed to always go tangent and talk about topics related to her job. Overall, she was an extremely unprofessional professor.

I would NOT take her worst professer in the ENTIRE world. She did not care that I failed & made it worse. She took 5 hours talking when the lab itself is 3 hours like wheres the time for us. In 15 years of school, I've never had a teacher as horrible as her. That's why there's a lot of 1 star. Half the class got 0 / 1 participation points, which hurt us. No matter how hard you work-she grades based on how much she likes u. Quizzes are random & takes off points just because she can. Even if shes the only option as a professor do not take her and take this class another semester with someone else. That's how bad she is. Reviews reflect exactly who she is. Avoid! 3 exams and one cumulative final. Exams are written response (20qs) and an extra credit question (10pts) each. Final has different types of q's (matching, written, etc) plus extra credit. Everything is from her slides word for word so attendance is mandatory. A few extra credit activities. One group presentation. NEVER take her for lab too!

If you aren't religious, you better change that before taking this class and start praying. I wish I was over exaggerating. I would pray like there was no tomorrow before walking into this class, leaving it, turning in my labs and lab quizzes. If anything, she needs God herself.

She rarely showed up on time to a MANDATORY class. Not only that, she grades super tough. Then she rarely gives feedback on why you received the score you did. I've never done bad in a course until this one. DO NOT TAKE.

Sat in her chair all lab, came late most the time, strict grader, removed us all points for participation even though we went to every lab because we weren't "involved enough and answered questions" when she literally didn't as us one question all semester. Saw her stand once in lab. Dont take her lab.

All in all, do not take this class. Exams are all written, not multiple choice. Along with she is a very tough grader. If you miss one word in the answer for the exam, she will mark it wrong. She does not post slideshows, so whatever you wrote done for notes is what you have to study off of. The study guides for the exam do not help either.

Her class was the worst thing I've done for my mental health. She doesn't know how to grade she marks right answers wrong and makes you debate it. Your grade is only based off 4 written exam and one project. For your final it is all based off what other students teach you. All in all I don't recommend. even if you have to take her to graduate dont.
