NOT LOGICAL
thank you for the bonuses though

He does not explain well. Students don't pay attention to him do not attend the lectures, He makes the assignment hard and gives un reasonable questions in the exam. This is his only tool since he can not grab the attention of students.

I enjoyed his course!!
Very helpful and such a hottie
Great Prof!!!!! he wote me asupport letter and I got the job!!WOW
Very Good Prof...
Ehab was my TA! and I learned from him more than the lecture!!!! he was always perpared, to the point, and shoed lots of exmples.
He really knows his sh*t. He answered so many questions on WebCT and by email at all times of day. Most helpful and caring prof I ever met

I enjoyed his teaching style!!!
A good professor who makes himself less necessary to the student over time
decent prof.
Hes a nice guy and all but is totally clueless to how horrible he is at explaining the simplest of things, this makes his lecture completely useless, although the review for midterm/exam he basically tells you whats on it. So, just attend the review classes.
Very good communicator, dynamic, easy to understand
I would like to thank him very much for the great semester and for being one of the very best profs that ever taught me at carleton
Thanks for being an amazing professor (your classes were the most interesting and understandable)
Great Prof, wants silence in class and will make sure everyone knows so. fair exams good T.A s always avaliable for help, but classes are as boring as watching paint dry.
Great Prof, very caring, and I echo the ?silence? part :)
i've been in the uni for 3 years now and he is the best prof. ever.he is helpful, always there for you, funny, will make you understand no mutter what . take any courses that he teaches
Nice guy but kinda boring....
i had a class with him, in 2007, it was the worst ...
Great teacher. Great slides. GET A TEXTBOOK or else you`ll need to drop the class lol. Very helpful outside of class, very caring to the success of his students if you show an effort.
Great teacher! Very helping and always there to answer a question!
His vocabulary is like 10 words lol, i hate it when he uses only few words to explain something. And his accent sounds like its on purpose. I fall asleep if i go to his class. If youre slow at understanding things then his classes will be helpful. Otherwise get the textbook and hit the library lol.
hily recommended. took ECOR1101 with another prof and then CIVE2200 with him ..wow..what a difference
he is a really good prof , but when it comes to asking question in the class room coz u werent paying enough attention, he will make fun of u and wont answer ur question. He brings very very very hard tests and exams. He is very helpful and always wants to help u if u go his office. ohhh btw he is very fair in marking the test.
Ehab acts like he is your dad when he's lecturing the whole class. He makes you stay grounded and tells you straight up that the exams he releases are hard (which is really hard). His accent and vocabulary aren't the best. He teaches too slow and his lecture slides are messy. It'd be better if you write them down so you'd understand it better.
Ehab is the best prof I have had yet, he makes a potentially difficult and dry topic and makes it interesting, his foam cut outs he uses in class really help you visualize what he is talking about
he gave the hardest exam ever ! be aware !!! never take your summer course with him if you taking the course for the 1st time !!
BEST PROF EVER !!!! I love the way he teaches and you never go out of class with a question in mind. his exams are pretty tough and challenging though, but !! if you prepare well nothing is hard in his questions at all. I'd absolutely take another course with him, definitely !
Very clear and interesting prof with a good sense of humor. His exams are difficult, however the questions are directly out of the textbook. If you make sure you understand the assigned homework questions (which will include your exam questions) you will get a good mark in this course. Its a hard course, but he does an excellent job teaching it.
Very motivating first class. Makes sure even the slowest understanders ofthe class understand what he is talking about. He uses different explanations, and makes the course really understand. Very good teacher! Would advice you to choose him over any other Mechanics teacher if you can. I sleep a lot in boring classes but never fell asleep in this 1
He is an amazing prof. If You go to all his lectures and do all the suggested problems, then you will have no problem getting a good grade
Very good prof
To be late or talk during his lectures, is what affects his way of teaching. He told us whenever a specific chapter is harder than the others, or more likely to be in his tests. This course is known to be hard, he would give 2 hard, 1 normal and 1 gift in his tests. Would definitely pick him again.
Tests & Exams are so easy. Way more easier that what I thought, All came from the questions on Textbook You would be A+ if you do all the suggested problems on the textbook
he is very helpful and always there to guide you with the course material.
He tries to make the class interactive and shows 3D examples. But he does the easiest examples in class and then gives the toughest question on the exam. If you go to all the lectures and make sure you know how to do all the questions in the book, you'll do well.
He is nice and knowledgeable but his notes and teaching is boring. The topic is interesting but not presented well. Sometimes the way the slides are written can be confusing. His teaching style is old school.
He is a good teacher, he is old style and will call you out for being on your phone or sleeping. He does little attention quizes in class that will allow you to know if you are on track with understanding what is happening in class or not. He is great, also great person!
Ehab was a very organized and articulate professor. He was very clear and concise about course objectives. It is imperative to go to all classes and do all of the homework. This may seem like an easy course at first, but the final may leave you speechless. The final is much harder than the midterm, focus on dynamics.
Harsh marker. You need to have everything to scale. Wants you to memorize conversion factors. Why would you memorize conversion factors this is engineering not biology. Why not memorize calculus too. Engineering should be only about understanding, the second you start memorizing you are killing ingenuity and creativity.
Great prof. Yes he is a tough marker but that's for your benefit. He uses props to express points which is great, and helpful. He goes through example more than once. Awesome prof. No one to memorize anything only understand
Awesome
Makes a hard close way easier.
Great Prof, but get ready to study a lot.
The only prof other then John Gales to light sh*t on fire in class. So I respect that. Solid and interesting guy to teach the class. He loves the subject matter and that shows through in his lectures. If you have a passing interest in fire design take the class you won't regret it, if you don't you will hate it as the essay and midterm are hell.
Ehab seems to struggle with his vocabulary, which can make it challenging for students to understand him. Moreover, his teaching style is described as boring, dry, and old-school. Some students have also noticed that he can appear overly confident in his knowledge, even though he may have gaps in his understanding.
Ehab was not very effective in engaging students, and he did not appear approachable, knowledgeable, or interesting to listen to !!!
Amazing
While ECOR 1045 is one of the harder ECOR courses, Ehab made sure I felt prepared for the class, as well as for the upcoming 1046 course. The student retention in the class remained high even as exam season approached and people left to study. Excellent lectures, lots of energy, especially on the lectures about fixtures.
I found that some of the course concepts were presented confusingly, and the pace of the course was too fast, which resulted in some concepts being inadequately explained. Additionally, I felt that the exams were not aligned with the course's intended scope.
Professor Zalok is an absolute treasure! His lectures are great, and he really makes you understand the topic by any means. He cares a lot and listens to his students. He might seem like he is there to be really tough on you, but it is the opposite! Even if it feels like it, it is for your own good to do well.
Very smart and easy to understand. The guys also hilarious, but I was scared to raise my hand cause sometimes he roasts you if you get the answer wrong lol.
Ehab's teaching style is old-school. Throughout his class, he uses only one example and repeats it a million times: "When a sofa catches fire." :(
I really wanted to like him, but he made it very difficult. Tough love type, somewhat rude to certain students. The final exam was way too difficult for the time given, I believe only about half (if that) of people actually finished it. Lectures were messy, lots of rambling, and often times (most) the problems covered in class were not solved fully
Very very hard final exam. Grading policy was changed retroactively without warning based on tutorial attendance, so some students lost marks in a way they could not have anticipated. Some students felt the way this professor interacted with students in front of the class wasn't very nice sometimes.
He's not too bad, but personally, his teaching style wasn't for me. He cares about students but in a tough-love way that many would interpret as nagging. I found lectures really confusing and disorganized, and had to teach myself most of the course. The midterm was fine, the final was on the harder side, and all questions were from the textbook.
OLD-SCHOOL teaching style. Boring and non-updated slides along with Harsh marking.
Great prof who is clearly passionate about teaching and the success of his students, but you have to be willing to put in the time and effort to do well in this course. Ehab's tough love towards certain students could be easily confused as picking and bullying but he never means it in that sense. Mid-term and Final exam were of expected difficulty
I found it really tough to follow the professor's explanations. The way they explained things just didn't make sense sometimes. The professor's grading was really harsh. Even when I thought I did well, the marks were a lot lower than I expected.
He's an unprofessional professor, old slides, has autism probably, thinks he's Einstein or something. Humble yourself dude you ain't all that
All I have to say is don't take any course that he teaches, he has zero respect for students.
Worst prof at carleton
awful ashhh
..........................
The lectures were very entertaining, and the grading was tough, but it's fine if you study well.
Funny prof, entertaining lectures, you will lose a lot of points on his midterms and exam for calculation errors so lock in
Explains the lectures pretty well and it's easy to follow along but when it comes to all the evaluations the questions are ridiculous and are marked very harshly.
If you don't have to interact with him he's ok. If you have a question or engage with him at all he will disrespect and bully you. I got every answer correct on the midterm but lost 20% for not doing it the way he wanted. In 6 weeks he's shown countless times that he lacks respect for students and he cant handle the power he has as a prof.
Two weeks into the course, we had our first midterm. The whole course was graded by 6 questions, which some may not prefer, but it enhances exam-taking skills. The marking was HARSH and inconsistent it needs to be revised. Attending lectures, practicing problems and watching Jeff Hanson videos will help you succeed.
Two midterms and an exam. He is actually very reasonable when grading idk why ppl complain a lot about him, maybe they're getting lazy when studying. He's really passionate about teaching and I very much enjoyed his class. If you go to the lectures and actually pay attention, the class is light work. I recommend taking this as an elective.
Ebah my beloved
Going in the final exam I had a 50 even after doing so good in my final exam I received a B+ totally hilarious marking
I studied 9 hours a week for this class to the point I almost could solve all the questions with my eyes closed. After that much work I only got a C+ and I know I wrote all my answers correctly in my final exam even after that got a very poor grade. He intentionally gives u a bad grade he doesn't care if u pass or fail.
Worst Professor at Carleton I am not even joking. Takes attendance and you have to attend every class in the harsh winter. What does he teach mind me asking lol just reads the slides which u can read urself. But no u have to come and give ur attendance, if ur a little late he will mark u absent and this is a totally useless class never take this.
his lectures were kind of useless just make sure to watch youtube videos and so alot of practice like really a lot
Oh boy oh boy where do i even start... I mean Ehab is the best prof i've taken in the Civil Engineering department. He got W knowledge, an easy marker, and is so inspirational. If you want life lessons and a good lecture, take Ehab. His inspirational messages make me wanna get a A+ in this course.
If you are going to take this class, please do good on the midterms (worth 40% of grade) and save yourself so much stress or you're gonna regret it later. Try to go to the lectures whenever you can.
Overexplains and overcomplicates a lot of simple topics, takes up way too much time on the simplest problems from the textbook so we didnt go over anything near exam level. Exam questions are quite difficult and sometimes just tedious for the sake of it, without actually testing core knowledge well. Could be worse.
Solid prof icl. Hes a slightly tough grader but its nothing crazy. Lectures are decent, i like the foam cutouts he has - they explained things well for me. The class content itself was enjoyable too, a little difficult but nothing impossible. Overall not bad.
