Very Easy! Talks funny and some times is hard to understand. Is overly willing to work with students and will help out a great deal, I had a D but after talking to him I walked out with an A! Has lots of extra credit!

Very funny i had him at 7am and i didnt fall asleep in his class. his multiple choice tests can be a little tricky but if you are willing to write a couple of essays then its an easy A and as long as you write essays he will not fail you!

He's just about the coolest govrrnment professor i ever met.Even his digressions in class carry a little something on the subject.He is so eloquent and demonstrates a perfect mastery of the US government and of the English Language as well. He should run for office.

i used to dread government with a passion before this class. when i took this class it was my favorite class i was taking at the time and up to today he is probly the best teacher i have had. tests can be tricky but with at least 20points extra credit per test you will pretty much have to beg him to fail you.

He's a GREAT teacher. With his African dance routine there's rarely a dull moment. His tests aren't too bad either, and they're all OPEN book. He gives a LOT of extra credit. It's a lot harder to fail his class than to pass it.

This is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He genuinely cares for the success of his students. If you fail this classs, it is really your fault for being a complete slacker. No one should fail this class, because he gives you every opportunity not to.

GREAT Teacher. He is funny full of energy and knowledgeble. The test are multiple choice and can be tricky but the amount of extra credit available(writing papers) make up for it and you should be able to make an A at least a B. If you dread GOVT take this teacher he'll make you love it and you'll learn a lot too!

Nice guy but as previously stated, you are assigned groups. Get a group of slugs like I did, you do all the work and they get to share your grade. You HAVE to do extra credit in order to get an A, even if you made an A on all of your tests like I did. You must attend because the tests cover your notes. Will not take him for Texas Govt

He does not judge your views and tries to educate you to make good political decisions. His lectures are always fun and he is very open minded. I give him an A+. He is a must take teacher.

LOVED THIS TEACHER! quizzes are ok and exams can be tricky. The only thing that i didn't like were the group essays because you don't pick your groups and sometimes you get lazy group members; also, he's very picky about what should be in the essay, but if you ask and get him to check it you'll be fine. AWESOME. took summer class. you work in groups for tests, and most everything else and can use your notes. quizes are crappy, but they aren't worth much. i didn't like my group though because they were lazy.. you can convince him to give you a higher grade if you goof around with him. Grading is done in groups, so you either fail or pass together. Depending on the group you are (randomly) assigned this can be a good or bad thing.

This class was very interesting, he made it enjoyable to be in class at 7:00am...he has a unique teaching style, and u work in groups for EVERYTHING...he is very helpful but will refer u back to your captain first, i am so looking forward for gov.2306. if u sneeze, he will def acknowlodge it...must take this calss!!!

Great teacher! Very funny and makes class entertaining. You get divided up into groups for 3 group essays during the course of the class and you do tests together. Very easy to get a B+ or A. He grades on a curve so not everyone can get an A if everyone in your class does good but he's one of the best teachers!

This class was not Easy! I worked my tail off and still felt exhausted the semester after. Prepare to stay up late writing essays and studying for test. AGboaye is very helpful. The thing is if you are the captian you are going to work really hard. The way this class goes depends on your group..

He goes by African Teacher. All the work is done in groups. You have a captain in each group who make sures that the work is divided evenly. You know what each test is going to be over, African Teacher provides that for you. Total of 4 test. Take really good notes on what he talks about, Lets you use notes on test. Made a B in this class. This professor will definitely help you on essays and other assignments. Take good class notes because they will be helpful on the tests. The quizzes are really hard if you do not keep up with current events or read your textbook. Overall, if you are present,take notes, and read your textbook--you are more than likely guaranteed at least a B.

He's a great guy and a funny teacher even though it's kinda hard to understand him. He has you do essays and personally I think that is far too much work for history. So if you're not a history major and if you have a hard time unerstanding accents, then I'd pass.

Good teacher, its pretty much all group work, you have to write essays and you get to work together on tests. The quizzes honestly suck because its anything and everything he can randomly think of from either the textbook, current events, or the lecture. Easy class tho!

The best professor I have had in college thus far. He was amazing, gave way too much extra credit and tried helping everyone as much as possible. He made it more than easy to pass, but you actually have to read and study if you want a good grade. This is a class you WILL have to study a lot for. Very awesome professor. You can pass, read the book, take your own notes + his notes & study. The Lead gets the short end in the group work, don’t be afraid to give the free riders a low grade for their efforts. I took Mr. Agboaye's class about 5 or 6 years ago. If he's still teaching at TCC consider yourself lucky! This dude has a passion for his job, and even if you don't like/understand government or politics, he will make it seem very simple. Mr Agboaye is a brilliant man, and his class is not hard! I think I finished with a 107! That's what's up!

Definitely study for the tests. They're open-note but they aren't easy. You want to take this class, he is funny and makes the class interesting. If you work hard and want to learn, this is the class for you!

He is a very helpful and funny professor. You have to take notes if you want to pass the class because the tests are open notes based on class discussions. He wants you to get an A but you have to work at least a little for it! Very easy and very cool professor overall.

Agboaye is a great professor, it's just his grading that is an issue. The only things I didn't like (which were major contributors to my grade) was that we had groups and had to rely on them for a better test grade and the fact that the tests were open note but extremely hard and over stuff out of the textbook that we didn't go over in class.

LOVED this professor! He wants you to actually try and show an effort for the grade you want, which should be an A. He's so helpful, and as for groups, you can definitely work on your own, he does not force you to work specifically in groups. Won't bore you to death with facts, actually keeps the classroom alive!

He is a great teacher. Funny and fun but you will take a lot of notes. And you will write an essay before every test but the essay is written by a group so you really ou do a paragraph. Before tests, make sure to read some of your history book, it will help a lot.

This class is not easy. You will have to read the book and understand the concepts African Teacher lectures on or the test will be rough. On the positive side, he is more than willing to help, has a great attitude, and it is generally fun to be in his class. He gives out extra credit points in bulk, the trade off is you have to attend to get it.

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had through TCC. He makes class fun and keeps you interested. I love this man and I love his story. He wants you to care about the class just as much as he does, so be ready to put in time and effort. But isn't that how a class should be? This class requires time management skills. You do not HAVE to work in a group. If you miss class, you will do poorly. His syllabus is your Bible for this class. Follow it, plan ahead, and you will get an A. Anyone who says he is too hard, is simply lazy. The tests are quite hard. My test average was a C, but still got an A bc I did well on papers

As long as your group can work together, you should be fine. It does not really add up to much but it changes the dynamic of the lecture hall.

At first, it seemed pretty hard, and I was't sure I was going to pass, but by the end of the semester I was amazed at all that I'd learned! His accent can be a little hard to understand sometimes but if you ask he'll clarify it for you. Test questions are made to trick you so pay attention during lecture and TAKE GOOD NOTES! This prof gives clear instructions for the course via the syllabus at the beginning of the semester. If you follow that and listen in class then you will be fine. It's not an easy A but its not hard to acquire one either. He's pretty animated so you won't fall asleep during lecture. The group work makes the essays easier (only 4 essays)

Hes an interesting teacher, his lectures are not boring. No homework, just essays for the test, test are really tough. because of the way he words them. This is mainly for Military Veterans like myself. It had been over 10 yrs since I was in college. I spoke to him about this and he worked with me. You need to read the book and take good notes from his lectures. There are many projects that you must complete, but there is a purpose behind them. He really cares about his students.

Go to his office for help, get to know him. he will give you with recommendation and scholarships letters when its time to transfer to a university. Professor African teacher was one of my favorite teachers to take at TCC. I took him for Govt2305 in the summer. He is very clear on what he wants from you and follows the syllabus word for word. He assigns group work but you can work alone also if you please. The class is long but he makes it entertaining. Highly recommend

The African Teacher! He's super chill group work with other students so pick wisely! Bring your weekly essays to him before his grading because he'll help you with what to fix so you get a 100. Write everything he says and reference the book on terms he uses. Uses notes on test so make sure you have everything in there from class and book!

Mr. A is a great teacher that makes learning fun and always strives to tech you the material in an interesting and relevant way. I could have cared less about government before I took his class, but he showed all of us the importance of government and politics and how it can be used for good. The only problem with this class is the group projects, which everyone usually doesn't do their part but some cases it all goes good. He offers a lot of extra credit ,there's no way you won't pass unless you don't turn anything in . He knows Texas Government is a dull and dry subject so he's very lenient on everything. Mr. African Teacher is the best professor I have ever had. His passion for the subject is infectious! His class has made me a better citizen. There are lots of papers but more than half are group projects. If youre good at writing papers, and have time to write a bunch, Id recommend opting out of the group work. AMAZING CLASS!!!!

Great teacher, He explains the Material as clearly as possible. Look out for the test, lots of trick questions so read them carefully. He will find a way to make sure you pass, but you have to hold up your end. overall, a great teacher.

I took the African teacher (as he calls himself) for wintermester. He is a good teacher, he is funny and caring. The tests are pretty difficult b/c of trick questions even though you can use your notes. Make sure to read the textbook and take notes from there. As well as, write all the examples he gives. Overall, his class is applicable to real life

I don't usually do reviews, but I needed to for this one. I really enjoyed taking his class. Yes his class does require some work, but as long as you take good notes and at least do some reading of the textbook then you're set. He is very lenient and is willing to work with you, he will make sure you understand the material and he's very funny!

Took him for Federal Gov and there are only four test. His test are open notes and you would think its easier, but NO! Tests are weird and confusing. I only passed because of the bucket load of extra credit that was given. Take someone easier.

"The African Teacher" has OPEN NOTE TESTS! It is important to be present in the class to understand what is being said and written on the board. This is what the test will be like because just reading the book will not help you. He has specific takes on certain things in each chapter but he makes GOVT fun to learn and keeps things interesting!

One of the best professors at TCC. Tests are hard but they're open notes and he gives lots of extra credit. If you have the chance to take him, do it.

He is a good professor and all, but his tests are nothing like the notes he tells you to write down, if anything always ask questions because those will probably be the ones on the test. Minimal effort Minimal Grade, so don't take his class unless you are willing to read and study. Also don't skip class because he goes over to much content.

The African teacher is an amazing person and lecturer. If you don't understand something, he is very willing to take his time for you to get help. For my class 100 extra points were given for a 360 points to get an A. Make sure to read the book and take good notes in order to get good grades on his test. You can use hand written notes on tests.

MY FOVORITE PROFESSOR! I took African teacher for US Government and am currently finishing up Texas Government with him. He is so funny. His tests are college level, but its OPEN NOTES so make sure you attend ever class and write down everything he says and writes on the board. There are 4 tests and that is all. No homework. EXTRA CREDIT given.

Amazing professor. Truly teaches you to be grateful and appreciative of everything in life. Very generous man who gives tons of extra credit. Open note tests. No quizzes or homework. A true gem. Will never forget this man.

He calls himself The African Professor! He owns that name. He is an extremely caring and fun professor that tries to make Texas Govt understandable to everyone. He finds ways to make the boring parts of Texas Govt fun and relatable. Tests are open notes. But I recommend not skipping class that way you have the notes and also understand them.

Grade only based on 4 exams. Must show up to class since he explains things that are not mentioned in the book. Goes into detail on federal government and how it impacts the Texas governments in the state and local levels. Will laugh at times and makes us feel better. Cares about his students and loves to write recommendation letters. You'll learn.

Hes really exceptional when it comes to getting a passing grade. He will work with you and understands the daily struggles of a student :)

The "African Teacher" does a great job of engaging the class in real-time thinking of what the course teaches. Exams are the only grades (4 in total) and require you to both read the assigned chapters and attend class for his notes. Exams can be difficult as sometimes the questions are worded differently or weren't mentioned in class/book. Study!

Prof Ehi is by far one of my favorite teachers ever! He is very kind, and respects you and your time. His class is entirely lectures with a test at the end of the lesson, but he is a very good teacher and makes sure you understand EVERYTHING! (if not he will be more than happy to give you a hand on the test) He loves his beautiful students! 10/10

He is amazing! Great professor! He is very caring and makes sure his students are doing well. He makes sure you understand the lectures and be prepared for Test. There are 4 test in this course and they are the only grade. The test are hard but he will help you. He is very humorous and makes sure you smile at least once during the lecture .

So far he's my favorite professor i've had, class consists of lectures every class and 4 tests. We were able to use our notes we took during class for our tests.

A professor that can deliver material very clearly in his lectures. His lectures are fun as he is a very funny professor, there wasn't a day where he didn't make the class laugh at least once. He is a very understanding prof and makes sure all his students do very well in his class, leaving no one behind. 10/10

Best professor I've had, I was scared at first but you get to use your notes on the test, I wrote literally everything he said and got above a 90 on every test. There was a textbook but I only ever skimmed it, he goes over what he is going to ask on the test so you can highlight your notes, as well as 5 extra credit questions. He is also very funny

Mr.Agboyae is a amazing and funny professor. You will more likely enjoy his class if you interact with him and ask questions about his lectures. The amazing part about him is he lets you use your notes on tests (only 4 tests) and allows you ask some questions on the day of the test.

Prof. Agboaye is one of the BEST teachers I have ever taken. I took his summer 8-week class and it was a blast! The lectures were simultaneously interesting and funny; he gave us breaks during the lectures too. The class was all tests but they were open notes and very easy to pass! As long as you take notes from the board it's an easy class!

BEST TEACHER EVER! "Mr. African Teacher" as he is mentioned is so funny. Notes are written on his whiteboard and gives his students some test questions that will appear on the 4 tests he gives. He even allows you to ask questions on test day! I am not a government type of person, but I can confidently say that I would repeat!

Best professor ever! He is so kind, he wants everyone to pass the class. He curves grades, and even adds extra credit questions. He will answer any and all questions, even on tests. Take great notes because he allows you to print them out and use them for the exams. I have no negatives about this class. He is so funny and makes you laugh 10/10.

hands down the best teacher ive had in awhile. just take really good notes and youll do really good on the test. if you miss class itll be crucial missing notes but if you go every time trust its a good time. he also lets you out of class like 20 mins early everyday. also a really great grader.

Fantastic teacher! he is very understanding and caring, his class is all lecture and you take notes every day, the only grades are based on 4 tests (including the final exam) which are open notes. his class is really easy unfortunately I am a horrible test taker lol. there is a textbook for this class but honestly, you don't need it.

The textbook is optional you really don't need it as long as you take GOOD notes. His test are open note which helps a lot. DO NOT skip class or you will be lost when you go back.

He is an entertaining teacher who makes government interesting. He also lets you out of class early. Although open note, the tests are hard and you need to study for them. The textbook is necessary because he will point to certain things in it that are on the test. He did curve a lot in my class. Make sure to ask questions and go to office hours!

Awesome guy, funny and his energy is contagious. He grades off 4 tests, open note but don't let that deceive you into thinking this is easy. He LOVES trick questions, take notes and I mean write every single thing he says and writes on the whiteboard, everything is important, also read the textbook he asks questions regarding some stuff in there.

Hands down the best professor at Tcc. There are only 4 tests in his class that are all open note. Although it is open note you have to pay attention to literally everything he says and write down everything he says even if it is not written down. He is super funny and gives the best examples. I would take his class more if I could! def take him.

This professor is amazing man. He's great at explaining the material like he said, as a story which helped a Lot. When you think you got the answer, but he decisively refers back to you on where you might've thought is very helpful. Bit of his upbringing story wakes us up, interactions with jokes certainly has me pay attention afterwards! 9/10!

Good professor overall. He's old school (doesn't use technology, writes on a whiteboard). There are 4 tests. Lecture notes are good enough, but get the book. Attending class is super important. Have hope, in my class he gave 2 makeup tests and a lot of extra points.

I plan on taking Mr Agboaye next semester again. I really appreciated his care for his students. This class ain't easy, but if you show up for the lectures and take good notes, you should be good.

Genuinely one of the kindest teachers I have ever had. I would just recommend that you attend class if you are able to, study properly, read the textbook, and ask questions!! his test will throw you in for a loop so do not be afraid to ask for clarification when taking notes.

No homework, only four tests (you have the opportunity to make up for two of them). -He discusses the test contents before the exam. -You are allowed to use your notes on the -exam. Simply show up to class and write what he says and you'll make a B. read your book and perhaps you'll make and A.

This professor was one of the kindest professors I have ever had. He was laid back and gave many extra credit opportunities and curves on the exams. However, you must pay attention in class and follow along in the textbook to ensure yourself a good grade. Tests are open note, but many questions are tricky.

One of the greater teachers! I think his class was undoubtedly hard but you have to really put you focus into lectures and your textbook- you will not succeed without them. At first, he will seem pretty strict about where points come from but there will be many, many opportunities slipped into lectures to get points.

While the tests can be tricky, attending class and using the textbook, along with unstuckstudy AI for study prep, can really help. Overall, a great professor if you're willing to put in the work.

I had him for the federal Government class and so far he is the best professor I have learned from.He is very caring about every single student . The lectures are pretty easy as long as you pay attention and write down as many notes as possible. His tests are medium level it mostly depends on how you take notes .100% would take his class again.

Take his course! Easy class if you take notes well and listen to his lectures. Grading based on four open note exams. I would recommend buying an electronic copy of the text book, it is cheaper. Understanding, kind, passionate, and gives good life advice!

Be sure pay attention in class and take notes, you have have have to take notes if you want to excel in this course.
