The best

She is great...makes class entertaining with witty remarks. There is a TON of material covered but the tests are easy and she really only likes to give As and Bs. She also nearly point blank tells you some of the questions that will be on the tests. Good overview of business law!

Got an A in the class. be prepared to take a ton of notes. her exams are challenging but she is very generous and will curve the class. i got a C on the midterm and prob got like an 85 on the final and still got an A

Eileen is one of the best professors I've had. She made studying a business law class really fun. Take good notes during the class and expecially on the exam review. I definitely recommend her!

Mid-terms (and supposedly finals) are based upon in-class quizzes which are easy. Just show up to class and you'll be fine. She always takes attendance everyday. If you're tardy make sure to tell her. Extremely nice, loves law and accounting. Knows her stuff and tries to make accounting bearable.

The class is very interesting and lively. You will never feel bored to take Professor Marutzky's class. However, professor always has her excuses to leave the class one hour earlier. We really hope to listen to her class more because the Business Law is not an easy topic.

Marutzky is one of the best business school professors at DePaul, she will make you like accounting and you will understand the material, ACC 101 I thought sucked, but 102 with her made all the difference, there is no debate whether or not to take her class, you must take it with her she's that good!!!

Professor Marutzky is so freaking funny and an amazing teacher. She tells hilarious stories AND teaches you accounting. The midterm and final are nearly identical to the non-graded pop quizzes. No homework, no book, and no texting in class +show up to class for Extra credit.

Haven't finished the class yet but i know its new and this is the first time its being given at depaul. with that being said, take her! not only is she absolutely hilarious, she is very experienced in the field. 50 chapters in ten weeks is a little intense but she's very helpful and goes over problems. im expecting an A in the class. This was a class i actually enjoyed going to. There is a crazy amount of content you cover, she said we did law school in 10 weeks. and we really did but she made it fun with her hilarious stories and commentary, she helps as much as you need but its very fast paced. Loved her and wish i could take her again! lots of extra credit!

Pretty easy class. Quizzes are basically the final and midterm. Attendance is good for your grade since you can get extra credit.

Great professor. Has many interesting stories to share, lots of work experience. Class is simple-two tests, 50 MC. No hw. Takes attendance, but it's only for extra credit. Nothing is posted on D2L and no powerpoints, so take GOOD quality notes. Study notes and practice quizzes. Do not buy book-you'll be overwhelmed. If you do, buy an old edition.

Greatest Law professor who engages well in class as well as providing real life examples towards the lecture. Provides EC and lets you out early. Class consists with just two exams (midterm and final). Read the book, go over notes, and study.

Eileen is absolutely amazing, she is someone who is full of experience and any information she shares is very valuable. Listening to her lectures will make you want to go study Law. Take good notes, read important chapters in the book, study her non graded quizzes and you will get an A. She is a Must Take Professor! Oh and btw she is hilarious!!

One of the easiest accounting class I have ever taken. This professor tells you exactly what you need to know for the exam. Pay attention in class and practice problems that she tells you to do. Gives review guide to help you. Make sure you know your review guide since there are problems from it I would definitely recommend taking her. No regrets

She is the greatest accounting professor I have ever taken. She tells you what is going to be on the midterm & final. Very crystal clear. There is no tricks & offers extra credit. SHE'S AMAZING. I hated accounting. She said she'd make us all love it, and she succeeded. I was never so pleased with a teacher in my life. She's clear, informative, hilarious, upbeat, happy to be there, and most of all, inspirational. You will definitely pass if you simply study what she tells you to study.

TAKE HER. One of the most inspirational and hilarious teachers you will have here at DePaul. No book required nor does she give out any homework. She tells you exactly what to expect on the final/midterm because all the questions are from in class assignments and quizzes you do in class together (which are ungraded).

Seriously awesome teacher! She's funny and she really helps you pass the class. Just follow the quizzes and you will do well on the tests. She can be a little hard of hearing and sometimes doesn't answer questions. But by far the best teacher I've had.

Professor Marutzky is the most inspirational professor I have ever had the pleasure of taking during my college career. She is the reason I decided to pursue accounting as a major. Professor Marutzky made Accounting 2 bearable and fun to learn. I used to hate Accounting a lot until I took her. Her exams are solely based off the quizzes and handouts that she gives in class. ATTEND CLASS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE HANDOUTS. Take time to practice and review them and you will do fine on the exams.

She is a great lecturer. Her tests are pretty rough but she makes them that way to help you with the CPA in the future.

If your major is accounting and you havent taken business law she is the one you should go to. She is extremely generous with extra credit and helps you prepare for exams by giving you examples and questions from the actual exam. Do yourself a favor a take her classes, she is the best! I wish she could be my teacher for all of my classes.

Best teacher at DePaul that I have yet taken. This was my most favorite DePaul professor. Allows you to know what is on the midterm and final. Very caring and loves interacting with her students. If you have to choose a professor for Accounting 102 this is the professor to take.

Prof Marutzky is amazing! She makes everything clear and gives you the work you need to do (the midterm and final are exactly the same as the work) and the final is non-cumulative. She's also really funny and makes the class enjoyable, even if the class if early in the morning. There's a small project to do, but she helps you along the way.

Eileen Marutzky is the BEST professor I have ever had. Let's be honest: business law sucks. Professor Marutzky had a way of making it fun, but be prepared to work! Do the readings, come to class, take notes, and do all of the extra credit assignments. Yes, this class was a lot of reading and very time consuming, but I would not say it was hard.

Professor Marutzky's online lectures could drag on at times, but she is very good at explaining certain concepts and she honestly makes accounting way more enjoyable than professors I have had in the past. She is also very understanding and makes herself available if you have any questions.

Professor Marutzky is really nice and funny. However, I had her for Business Law and we covered an entire textbook for the summer session of 10 weeks. It was overwhelming. There are "practice quizzes" that are not part of your grade, and most of the questions were not on the exams. Midterm/Final not cumulative, and LockDown Browser was used.

Very knowledgeable professor, has a law degree and is a CPA. She will answer all your questions, take good notes and study the quizzes.

Best professor by far. She's the sweetest lady and not to mention very funny. There are only two grades, the midterm and the final but she gives many opportunities for extra credit. I seriously love this woman. She is so caring and truly wants her students to do well. She is extremely smart and clearly explains every topic and always says exactly what will be on the test. It is test heavy, Midterm (40%) Final (47%) Other (13%) bur almost everyone ends with an A- to A. TAKE HER!!!

Eileen was a wonderful professor that teaches you a portion of the regulation section of the CPA. She's straightforward about what she expects from you and tells you what's on the exams. The exams are difficult but both are open notes and open textbooks. My only gripe was that some of her zoom meeting recordings were impossible to access.

would definitely take one of her classes again. even on tests she would go around and make sure we were doing it correctly. she would make the topics relatable and enjoyable to learn about. i hated accounting before i took this class but i actually really liked it.

Prof. Marutzky is an actual G. She is genuinely interesting and hilarious. If you take this class, definitely take it with her. She answers questions well and explains topics thoroughly. She is very clear about what will be on the Midterm and final. As long as you aren't purposely trying to fail you will get an A.

Easiest class ever. She tells us everything that's on the midterm and final. Everything is on paper which I like. Offers a lot of fun extra credit opportunities. Impossible to fail this class. If you're an accounting major, I would probably take someone else just because this class is very easy, you might learn more somewhere else. Very sweet!

Professor Marutzky is one of the most real professors I have ever met. She wants students to succeed, not just in her class but in the CPA exam. She has extensive real world experience that she applies and she is a genuinely kind person. I went back to school after 20 years in corporate and it is rare that you meet a person or prof like her.

Professor Marutzky was a great professor and super easy. She clearly cared about everyone, she would walk around and help people individually if they didn't understand. Only a couple assignments that are super small besides that its midterm and final heavy. Old school teaching but super nice and is patient. You will cruise through in this class.

I took ACC 102 & 370. While the 50/50 grade split between midterm and final may seem daunting, extra credit makes it nearly impossible to fail. Although the book isn't necessary, it's highly beneficial for CPA and JD aspirants, preparing for REG on the CPA and offering a corporate law overview.
