DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! It is a lot of work at home and her lecture is uncomplete. Buy the book and read at home, read a magazine during her lecture and you will be better off. very confusing style!

Not an easy class, but I thought she was a very good instructor. She tells lots of stories and makes the subject interesting. Tests are hard, but if you study the notes from class and read the book, you'll do well.

Her class was a ton of work. Her tests were really hard, and she didn't teach half of what was on them. I hated the way she made fun of her clients that she's councelled. I was quite insulted by her teaching style as I want to be a councelor myself. I got really sick and she wouldn't let me make up quizes , which dropped me a whole letter grade

Due to the nature of my job, I may miss work in class to go to the hurricane relief efforts. She was very unclear and not understanding about it. Take Psychology online, if you can!!!
This teacher really was pretty cool. Her tests were pretty hard, but if you take notes and read all of the bookwork you should be fine, except the brain test. That one is hard. She really did make the class fun.
this class is very challanging, but she is very helpful and very witty. You must read the book or you will fail! I would recommend recording the lectures because she speeks very loud and very fast!!

This teacher is great at delivering her lectures,however very demanding. At the beginning of EVERY class there is a quiz. Her tests and quizzes can be very trick too. If you're looking for an easy "A" in Psy, do not take Mrs.Price!

She is very hard and demanding if you want to learn and have fun take Dr. Gerstner he is is fun and very helpful. He will help you understand and help you though all of your lectures to a point where it is on your level. You will do projects which are out of yhis world and real funny.

She is funny. Talks alot about****a lot. See will tell you what is one the test then when you get it there will be nothing similiar. She says that the tests are all application, but they are about half. You will have a quiz every day in class. Her projects are easy to do.

I loved Ms. Price. Her tests were hard and you had to read the book and focus and take great notes but I got A's on everything in her class. She offered extra credit every step of the way but ONLY to those students who were working for their grades. She says the very first day of class "If you don't give a damn then I don't give a damn.
Mrs. Price is tough but fair. I learned alot from her class. Her tests are a little tricky, you can NOT go by her notes alone. If you read the book and go over class notes, you will do fine. You will do two major writing assignments.
She is a nice lady. Has tons of stories that help her notes make sense and stick. She doesn't believe in tardies, unless you have a very good excuse. Take her notes and listen in class. Its not impossible to pass her class without the book, but the book helps. Her notes don't nessisarily cover all thats on the test. Especially the final.
I hated her class!! She is nice but her tests have nothing to do with what she teaches!! Would never take a class with her again. I dropped her class and never looked back!!

(online class) The material for this class is not hard, however, the professor is completely unorganized, posts assignments late & still expects them on time, takes forever to grade assignments, is not clear on what she wants in the assignments. Stickler for spelling, punct., etc. I would never take her for another class.
Great Professor, easy class. I failed the first test,but made a "B" in the class.
Nice, but really hard. All of her tests are application questions for the most part. She has quizzes everyday and if you don't do well on them it will bring your grade down. If you really like psychology then you'd probably be fine. But I would recommend a different professor if you're just taking this class because you have to.

i take her online class and it's a real drag...she is not very helpful when you have questions or problems when she finally responds to your issue. Her grading system seems very sparatic to say the least. If I had found this site before today I would have changed for sure.
Very Very Hard. Would not suggest taking her. She teaches like she is in church, or should i say preaches. Test are very hard, and you have quizzes once a week if not everyday. Very tricky, if you pay attention its not impossible to pass but can be hard. Would not suggest her though.
She is hard,i passed only because i spent hours studying for test and the quizzes every day. her test are all application, so memorizing the material won't help you, you actually have to have a great understanding of the material. she gives you three "projects" and if you do bad you fail her class...period. she doesn't care if you pass or fail.
loved this clas...was challenging..but hey it is COLLEGE. you do have to study, things can't be handed to you. loved her teaching. she was very interesting and had great stories. study hard and you will do good!!!

Look. im telling you like it is. she is HORRIBLE. she acts like she is in church, for no reason she will just start talking so loud and then just go back to talking normal. shes odd. she thinks she is better than everyone. her test are crazy, none of the info she actually covers. do not take her. TRUST ME !
Very good teacher, offers plenty of extra credit, answers all questions, humorous, and makes sure all her students understand what she is teaching. i made As on all the tests because i did the study guides, got extra credit and STUDIED for them. quizes are hardest i think. overall, great teacher but you HAVE TO STUDY

Mrs. Price is a cool person, but teaching should not have been her choice of career. Her test are not on the material covered in class. Quizzes are the easiest. She TALKS 2 much about things that are not important to the lession. DONT TAKE HER!

I took the internet version. We had to write a 2 page paper every week which she took tons of points off for tiny things. She also took points off for things that were correct and when informed of her errors, she didn't do anything about them. Her feedback on assignments was unintelligible, with poor grammar and spelling. Not impressed.

Mrs. Price has terrible pronunciation when she speaks. Almost unintelligible. She treats her students as if they were in third grade. Never did I expect a teacher to talk down on their students, until I met this woman. She clearly needs to rethink her career. Grades fairly easily on projects, tests usually don't line up with what she lectures.
I found this professor to be very condescending in the way she spoke to the students. She was not very helpful and at times is was hard to understand her--- her grammar was horrible, btw! Nice woman, but it seemed fake? :( Her tests were made by the departmental head, so a lot of questions on the test WERE NOT COVERED. Do not take her class.
Her class was one of my first college classes and I felt like I had taken a step back in education. I found the actual class very interesting However, she has terrible grammer and speaking skills. I didn't know what she was saying half the time. She also talks down to her students rather than treating them as equals or even close to equals.
She is very nice and she makes her lectures fun and interesting. Sometimes it annoyed me when she didn't pronounce things right. but overall she's a good teacher just study! i made a C in this class.
Prof Price talks down to her students, is not able to help in any way on test.. what she lectures about is not on test... can not pronounce things correctly.. so half the class your trying to understand what she is saying. if you do take the class read and study the book not her notes

Worst Professor Ever! Not that the class is not hard, but it would help if I had someone explain things. You pretty much have to teach yourself. The way she pronounces things is distracting. Not helpful at all.
Wow where to start...if you study the material you will do fine...I made an A in her class...you will need to study...but its easy. However I would not take her again...the class was growth and dev. but i felt like i was learning middle school material. She can't speak proper english and uses examples anyone would know.

She made me so mad b/c she was not clear on what she wanted on her assignments/projects. So when she graded she would take off points for things that were not even your fault. I hated it b/c she would argue with me that "she said..." And she never did but she is too lazy to help you out. You will pass if you study her power points and book.

Her multiple choice questions aren't bad but you have to give a lot of details to receive all the points in the essay question. She pretty much tells you exactly what she's looking for on her projects. She talks down to her students and mispronounces words. Overall not someone I'd care to take again but not the worst professor out there.
Worst teacher I have ever had, her multiple choice are the standard and don't even pertain to what she has taught, this beginning class was more difficult than my Calculus class! I don't recommend this teacher.

Ms. Price was often late to class, but counts every 3 minute tardy as an absence. Over 1/2 her assignments and tests had grading errors that I had to get fixed. Her vocabulary is distracting: 'Fixtation', 'Umbiblical cord', 'Erogerous', 'Intimitsy', and several other mispronounced words. Her facts often contradict the text, making tests confusing.
I didnt feel distracted by how she pronounced things like others have said. HOWEVER her notes do contradict the book and although she talks like she's an expert I was often questioning her validity. Beware of assignment 3.. I thought I went above and beyond but she gave me a 60 saying I didn't meet criteria, although there WAS NO SPECIFIC CRITERIA!
Mrs. Price was very strict but she was extremely helpful. She expects you to do your part with reading,studying,etc. Great for Psych Majors! You will learn a lot in this class and its important to study everything she says in class. Test appear difficult but are not if you study.
She is a tough teacher but fair. You are required to work like you are in college, not HS, and a lot of students want to be given their grade, not in her class. I worked hard and thought I had only earned a B but was happily surprised when I made an A. If you want to be treated like an adult you will do well in her class.

Be prepared to read the textbook chapters prior to and after attending lecture! Ms. Price was rude and her comments were unnecessary in class. Most of what I learned from that class was from the book, she was useless. Her test were ridiculous,she seldomly responds to email and when she does it usually isn't within a timely manner and i don't trust her with my grades. Very unclear on assignment, unresponsive when I had questions and emailed her, gave tricky wording on test questions, broad study guides, and super unorganized!
I had Mrs. Price at 12:45 during lunch traffic, and let say you walked in at 12:46, you are absent. Makes you not want to stay in class after that, eh? Well i ended up staying and when test time came around I was not to sure if her first language was English or some sort of Creole. Overall, a mediocre teacher, tests are straight from book. READ.
Professor Price was not helpful at all. Her assignments have no clear direction, her lectures are long, and her tests come straight from the book. Make sure to read the book because that's where many test questions come from. She always mispronounces words and says um at 200 times per class. Super unprofessional and never grades in a timely manner

I took this online because I'm in the nursing program & was told that online is best. I got the wrong instructor for this class, b/c the amount of work is unreal. We have to submit a discussion post each week, respond to a discussion post, as well as write 12 (yes, 12) papers, and 4 exams. She is slow to reply to emails, & does not budge on grades.
I didn't do to well on my first test, along with a lot others. I told Mrs. Price this and she offers study sessions before the test and says that with those sessions she sees great change in a students grade. I did this and my grade improved greatly! She is tough and she lets you know that. Listen to all the analogies, and write down examples.
Mrs. Price is very knowledgeable about the field she teaches but she makes her class very hard. every test is applications and even if you prepare you still might fail the tests. defintiley have to work for everything in the class. if you are wanting to major in Psychology then she would be a good teacher to have but not otherwise.
Shes by far the absolute worst teacher i have ever had. She is so rude to everyone when she speaks, she has a doctrine & somehow cannot pronounce ANYTHING at all. She is not specific when telling what she wants for assignments & takes off A TON of points for something that is solely her fault for not specifying. I dont trust her at all with grades.
she is a TOUGH GRADER!!!!! she will take points off of test and assignments and will not tell you why you got the points taken off. she awful! she does not explain assignments well. she will not finish going over a PowerPoint but she will still make you take the test. do not try to correct her you will just make it worse.
She does not know how to teach. She does not listen to her students and is not helpful when you try to ask her questions. She is rude and short with her students and is hard to understand. Literally 89% of the class is failing. THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROFESSOR, NOT THE STUDENTS!
Everything comes from her notes... all you gotta do is study, study, study and remember everything. It will be 4-5 questions out of the box but that's your job to read the chapters. She offers extra credit too! I enjoyed the class.
I love Professor Price so much. She teachers psychology SO well. She loves the subject and cares more about you actually learning than just running through material. She is ALWAYS ready to explain something to you if you don't understand it. Test is 95% from her notes in class. Offers extra credit, especially for participation in discussions.
Write down the applications she says in class and READ the book & you'll be fine. Puts things on test that she didnt say but are in book. Online Final. Takes Forever to grade. She's caring and available outside class. She got on some people's nerves, but I really enjoyed her class and her Enthusiasm!

Mrs. Price is generally a caring teacher who tries hard to connect with her students. You have to get to know her to get comfortable with her! I recommend sitting toward the front of her class and participating in class discussions, IT WILL HELP ON THE TESTS. I always made notecards with definitions and applications and it prepared me for her tests

Interesting to listen to in class, and interesting lectures. tests are very hard, and you MUST buy and THOROUGHLY study the textbook to do well. tough grader especially on projects. Project and Test expectations are laid out for you, you just need to put in a LOT of effort to succeed. Sneaks extra credit to those who participate in class.
Mrs. Price is a nice lady she really does care about her students and offers many extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. she doesn't have a heavy work load, but I recommend studying cause its a lot of memorization. her notes are clear, her lectures are not boring and her tests are specific to IN CLASS learning.

Takes her a little bit to warm up to a new group of students. She's funny once she does. Gives analogies to help teach the info. Has an issue with pronunciation, but I had no issue with comprehension of what she taught. Gives lots of extra credit. No reason why someone shouldn't do well if you follow the study guides and PowerPoints.
Worst professor. Gives rude and unnecessary comments to students. Horrible pronunciation. Her tests are mostly from the book and not in class. She gives you a lot of applications to help study for tests but the day of the test, she tells you not to use her applications and examples from the textbook.

This an extremely content heavy course, and she makes you do applications which are examples that you put into your own words. Just try to stay in top of studying, and you should be fine.
Do not take her if you have the option! She has 6 chapters per test & isn't very good at teaching. Rambles a lot! The only grades you get are tests, final & one paper. She is the worst professor that i have ever had for psych or any class! Shes very unclear about test content & just reads straight from the power points. Good luck if you have her..
Cannot pronounce majority of the words she teaches us and is very loud. It's honestly so distracting. You need your book because she only teaches you a fraction of what will be on the test, the rest comes from the book. The only pro is that she hands out a lot of extra credit and the final exam is easy. Good luck to everyone who has her!
She really is an incredible teacher. I loved her lectures because while she is loud, she catches your attention. If youre interested in psychology, then shes a good professor. If youre not, then any psych teacher is going to be bad. Make sure to participate when shes asks!! Get that extra credit on tests.
If you get this professor please switch out. The information on the test has nothing to do with the notes taken in class. she is extremely loud and rude if you try to ask a question. Her tests are extremely difficult. she does offer 3 extra credit grades, however you will only get like 2 points extra and thats only if you do the assignment perfect.
Lack of communication, as getting responses to emails is nearly impossible. Most of your grade depends on 2 tests and then the final. There is online homework and discussions that you have to participate in.
I really recommend not taking this teacher.. you wont learn anything and you will most likely have to take the class again. She does 6 huge chapters per test and there is 4 tests and only one other grade aside from the tests, so basically if you don't do good on all the tests you will fail. Just help yourself and dont take her... seriously.
This teacher is hard take, she has trouble with pronunciation often and you only have a total of like 4-5 grades so you basically have to make good grades on most if not all of them to pass. tests include a lot of chapters which can make it really hard. I dont recommend taking her if you can..
Tough professor. Tests are really hard. Final exam was easier than all her tests. Gives extra credit for doing assignments so when she says to do something outside of class and bring it in DO IT! Gave me 10 extra points on lowest test grade for doing final study guide. Expects students to practically know everything. Wouldn't take her again.
I liked Mr. Price, yes when shes teaching she can get a little loud but it adds character to the class, I do suggest that you read the chapter in the book along with jotting down notes from the PowerPts. She gives EC throughout the semester so bring it to class, dont neglect studying for her class bc youll regret it and write a good paper!
Be sure to read everything in the book. Be sure to remember the specific percentages of data mentioned in the book. 3 chapter tests, up to 5 chapters on one test. Ridiculous. Late or doesn't reply at all to emails. I didn't learn much from this class, other than to put psychological terms to real life situations I'm already aware of.
I had to post this to help some of y'all out. MAYBE it's the online learning/COVID, but we do not have scheduled class time, no lectures, no slides for notes, no study guides. We were told to purchase Launchpad, there you'll find textbook and assignments. Notes and studying rely only on textbook. Terrible experience, get ready to teach yourself.
I got a B, but I busted my tail for it. Don't freak out over the paper, it really isn't that hard but I don't recommend this teacher, she can come off as condescending and rude. You will have content packed tests. Make sure you chime in and answer questions and she may award you some extra credit. Not the best class, took in Fall 2020.
I took this online. Her instructions were not clear. There were no study guides. We would go through 4-5 chapters and had nothing to help us prepare for tests. The book was hard to use online. She made a discussion for us to ask questions and she never answered the ones asked. She is a heavy grader and barely explains why you missed what you missed
Basically, be prepared to teach yourself. She doesnt communicate or provide feedback, if you do bad on an exam you just have to take the L and move on. You dont even get to look over the test and see what you got wrong. Homework and discussion boards weekly. Not a difficult class but if you need your professor to communicate, look elsewhere.
If you can avoid taking her, love yourself and avoid her.
Do not take her online. She is ZERO help and you basically have to teach yourself. For discussions, she will have you reflect on videos that she did not even post. She rarely replies to emails and is a very tough grader. I do not recommend her class to anyone.
Professor Price is enthusiastic about Human Development. She applies her lecture to not only the text, but also to the real world and culture we live in. I found her incredibly helpful and insightful. She allows discussion and provokes engagement among the students. She is a pleasure and has become my mentor through within my pathway.
Worst teacher I've had so far. There aren't a ton of grades for the class. Just a discussion or two each week, the tests, and a semester long project. That would be a breeze if she wasn't the worst when it came to grading the discussions. She worries more about your citations and English than she does your knowledge of what you are writing.
Not good. She waited until the last two months of the semester to grade work which gave me no way of knowing how I was doing. The tests are unnecessarily hard, and the study guides don't help. She is nice but her classes are awful.
Mrs. Price is a nice lady and a decent teacher. Always has a matching skirt/blazer. Her tests are really hard. Make sure to study. Just do all of your work, and you will be okay. If you present your projects you will get extra credit. Doesn't give great feedback.
Terrible lecturer, very slow grader, barely responds to emails outside of class. Was an in person class with mandatory attendance, yet would end class after only 30-40 minutes regularly. Canceled class half a dozen times. Unable to answer questions. Felt like a self taught class despite in person lectures. Just reads from slides. PSY 218
Inconsistent grader with discussion boards. Will come up with any reason to not give you full credit. “Cite textbook in your post” “cite textbook in your responses”. There was a peer review discussion board on the only project and she deducted points for who knows why. All we had to do was share our rough draft and respond to a couple of peers.
