She was very easy, and everything she taught in class was on the test. No surprises.

I really enjoyed the class, she is a good teacher. A little rude, but fair. I got a B without really reading the book, just looking through it.

GOOD TEACHER! SHE DOES TEND TO GET OFF TOPIC ALOT. BUT SHE IS PRETTY EASY. SHE WILL REVIEW WITH U B4 THE TEST AND IF U STUDY WAT SHE SAYS THE TESTS WILL BE EASY. I MADE A B W/O READING THE BOOK.

One week I didn't have money to take the bus to school and told her I had to miss class. She gave me money for the bus and told me I didn't have to pay her back. I would have had to miss all my classes if she hadn't done that. She's reviewing for the book review so I don't think it will be that bad.

Mrs. Mellow is a very good and understanding instructor. She respects everyone's needs outside of class as well as inside. She gives very vivid instructions and helps you understand in more than one perspective.

A no nonsense lady. Makes it clear she won't stand for lateness, ageism (her favorite -ism), cell phones or rudeness. I actually quite enjoyed her class. Very helpful. Be ready to work hard, participate and act like an adult!

I took her class the summer after I graduated. She didn't make us read any books... I thought her class was relatively easy. Maybe she has a diff. syllabus for differnt sessions... I would recommend her for summer courses. DO NOT come into her class late. N DO NOT argue about being late.

Great teacher. You'll do well if you pay attention, take notes, and take the class seriously. She is pretty laid back unless you are late or being rude.

She lectured, she taught, she discussed...she tested. very simple. If you are going to school to umhhh learn, then take her. You just have to listen while she is talking, get involved in class discussions and you will pass the test. She gives reviews so what else do you need? I am vey pleased to have her as part of my "social convoy"

She does a wonderful job teaching. I took psychology at U of H and from my experiences of all the professors in about any of my classes she's the best. She does a wonderful job with teaching the material as well as giving examples, giving a study guide, going further to explain in further detail if we don't understand and she does it all in a spu

Interesting and engaging lectures. Very clear. If you pay attention in class you really don't even need to read the book- I didn't and made an A on her test. However, she expects that everyone read ahead of time to participate in class discussions. Great teacher.

:) Easy A, just show up, listen to lectures, 3 major tests, drops the lowest and then there's an easy study guide to help you study on your own for the final and final exam is pretty easy if you've listened to her lecture. I got an A, never reading the book once.

Very fair. One regular paper and one extra credit paper worth 10 points and other extra credit during the semester to boost your grade. Very helpful will stay after class to explain if you don't understand.

Very funny teacher. I love her sense of humor, She makes class very relaxing, if you take time and do your study, you can have good grade. Extra credit is easy, because when you're doing it, you're also revising your work. She is willing to help you if you have question also. Great teacher.

She is great teacher. Very fun and energetic. My favorite teacher since I've been in college.

This is an awesome instructor. She makes sure to try to keep everyone on the same page. She gives plenty of extra credit. There is really no reason anyone should fail unless they simply don't care. She makes the class interesting as she has a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone.

She is a great teacher!! the classes are really enjoyable. You will have 4 tests of multiple choice ( just study her notes and chapter objectives and you will make an A)and you will also need to ready a book( she will also give you a review for the essay test). Gives extra credit as well

She gives 4 tests, 1 essay test plus the final test. Just took the essay test it was very easy. You have to read 3 topics in the textbook and you get to pick 1 essay question and write 1 page. Very interesting class we do experiments in class.

Very funny and helpful. I just took the 1st test and noticed that she does give you hints about test questions during class and she gives you the study guide. A lot of easy questions on the test.I like that the class is interactive.

Took her for Growth and Development.. I thought she was a bit rude/sarcastic at times but maybe it's because she's from New York. Participate in class! Her powerpoints are not very helpful they are only skeletons of what you need to know. YOU MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK. Tests are not easy As! I studied and BARELY made a B.

I thought she was pretty rude also for someone who is teaching psychology...there's no reason to take notes from her slides because the tests are strictly from the textbook. You must read the book in order to make an "A". I just read the summaries after every chapter and passed with an A!

She has high expectations of her students. She expects you to print out the lecture slides, read before class, participate and BE ON TIME. Need book to study for test. Offers a decent amount of EC throughout the semester. Has a quirky personality. Once you get used to it, you get that she's a nice lady that partied in the 60's/70s

Mrs. Mello is a great teacher. She does have high expectations for her students, read before class and print out her lecture notes. She does provide extra credit through out the semester. You will have to print out the study guide, which is what she tests you on. If you study that and attend class (attendance is graded) you will have no problem.

She is a wonderful teacher. She keeps us focus and everything. She is very funny and teaches the info great

Focused professor. As an older student she ensured all were involved in discussion(s). Practical applications of what was discussed in each class. I can appreciate her and if you want to learn the importance of lifespan I would recommend to take her course. Yes, the book is mandatory; take notes, and use the study guide you too ascertain an A.

This Class was actually easy, I just did not apply myself like I should have. The bad thing is you don't do alot of work so you have to get good grades on the stuff you do. Shes funny, and her test are easy. BUT DON'T BE LATE SHE FROWN :-( on lateness.

Love this prof. She uses lots of examples from her life that explains the topics, lots of video clips, extra credit to boost your grade. drops the lowest grade on the multiple choice tests. very caring and very funny

I hated this class in the beginning. But after a while I learned to love it. She is very passionate about this subject. She uses A LOT of life experience as examples that relate to this course. Tons of video clips shown, she's funny. In order to pass her class.. show up, PARTICIPATE, and study her study guide. It'll be a breeze if you do all 3.

Mrs. Mello expects all of her students to be engaged in her class. Communication and participation is desired. She is funny and uses various of videos to make her lectures much more meaningful and coherent. She provides extra credit and a study guide.

Ms. Mello is a very good professor. She explains the subject matter well and gives a lot of examples. She's a stickler for punctuality & classroom policies (use of cellphones in class, etc.) so be aware of that. Listen to her lectures, read the book and study her study guide and you will do great in her class.

Very clear in what she expects, will tell you once and usually does not like to go over it again. If you do not participate she will move on and not elaborate much. Makes you read a book, essay test over it. Tests are ok, not hard, make sure to read the chapters because her notes are not detailed. be on time, you might miss something.

This Professor is pretty good. She has very clear and interesting lectures. She likes participation. She does have a very stern way of presenting herself at times, and she is the NO non-sense type. Read your text, come to class ON TIME (she will point your tardiness out), participate and you will make a good grade.

She's a good teacher. listen to my tips, I've made an A on all my test. She gives the this study guide in the beginning, don't lose it she won't give you another. Study only whats on that paper! She will go over half the chapter, you have to do the rest yourself! You'll have one essay off of this book. It was pretty easy. Take this class it's easy!

Professor Mello, no doubt that the woman is a good professor ; however there is a lot of room for improvement from her. Treat students like high school kids, and she is so inmature when you give out your opinion in class, specially if you say something about the elderly,she takes it to the heart. Very sarcastic; she'll tell you in first day. Ugh!

If you want a good grade in Lifespan, I suggest you take this teacher! She's amazing! The only reason I made a B was because I didn't buy the book, and didn't study. If you get the book, and listen in class, you'll have no problem! Take her, and you won't regret it. But be warned, she is very sarcastic and will call you out if you do something bad.

Shes really easy, gives good explanations. She gives a study guide for all the tests. She even gives you the questions for the essay test before the test. This makes things very easy for an easy A. She's very passionate about psychology.

I took this class because a friend recommended this instructor. I really enjoyed her lectures and learned a lot. She gives out a study guide for the textbook tests which is super helpful. We read another book and had an essay test on that book and she gives out the actual questions before that test.

Great class, great professor. I would take her again. She gave us 3 mc tests, 1 essay test, and 1 mc final. Just follow her syllabus, do the readings, study what she tells you and you will pass. She's straight to the point and all all the guidelines are clear but you do need the books to pass.

You have to work in her class, but it isn't any harder than a regular college class. Going over the chapters before class really helps. This class covers a lot and lots of reading. Very interesting class. Gives good examples for the topics. In this class she gives 4 multiple choice tests and one written assignment. If you study the list in the study guide you can do well. I didn't study much but I focused on that and what she talks a lot about and got a B.

Professor Mello likes to tell stories while going over the powerpoints which really helps in understanding the topics. She drops your lowest test grade, there are lots of extra credit opportunities-she gives extra credit for each test. Pay attention when she's teaching she gives hints on test questions. 4 tests, an essay test, comprehensive final.

She is ok if you are really willing to read. She does not provide resources for reading you have to read the textbook and not even the final exam review. Well she has good lecture but I would say this is not a very easy class.

Shes a really great teacher. She makes class fun and interesting and really gets you thinking about her examples. She comes off as a huge stickler about grades but at the end of the year she bumped my 78 up to a B. She also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. I would take her again.

I took her 5 years ago when I was going back to school to become a nurse. I graduated from Texas Womens nursing school, but I still remember this professor. She is the best professor Ive had. She really prepared me for how hard nursing school would be and even taught us APA format because we would use it in nursing school. Would take her again.

I ended up buying the textbook and never used it for the summer semester. I only used launchpad to study. I did not read the book, I read the summaries, did the learning curve sections for each chapter, and matched the vocab a couple times and made As on every test. She offers extra credit at the end and there is one short essay.

Very passionate about the subject, if you really want to learn this stuff she is a solid choice. I only took it because it is required for my degree, so if you are like me, stick to online. Received a "B" off of power-point learning, hardly showed up to class and rarely did I open the textbook (maybe once-ish). 4 exams, the final, and a term paper.

Took Mello for two classes, this professor is very good, very helpful, funny, no-bs attitude, expects you to participate. The material isn't difficult if you work. The study guide is very helpful Unsympathetic if you blow off the class and ask for a higher grade. Does offer extra-credit work.

Ms. Eileen teaches exactly what is on her tests and is very clear. She is very passionate about her job. Would highly recommend taking her class.

Professor Mello is actually really interesting. She knows her material very well. She's clear about what she expects from you and gives a lot of extra credit . The multiple choice tests can be hard but she gives you a study guide. The written assignment is easy-questions about a story and the answers are in the reading she provides.
