Dr. Wood was one of the best profs I ever had. Her lectures were definitely enjoyable... it wasn't a struggle to go. She was very approachable and gave fair tests. She wants everyone who puts the effort in to do really well.

Dr. Wood was an amazing prof! I generally dread going to lectures, but her's are actually fun to go to and I never find myself looking at the clock every two minutes. She's hilarious!

I absolutely adore her. Her lectures are always clear. Her classes are interactive; she does her best to engage the class in the material. Her stories about her kids are the highlights of the lectures.

She's hilarious and her lectures are entertaining BUT my only beef is that every other psych class this semester did not have their midterm during exam time and they only had theirs on 2 chapters instead of 4 like ours COMPLETELY UNFAIR!!!!

only lecture I try my best to go to bc shes actually interesting.. although you can teach yourself by reading the textbook.

Very funny lady. Awesome lectues. Mostly taught myself from text book. Only thing that sucked about her class was our midterm and final %s. Final was 40% which all the other sections had 25% and 30%.Coulda killed her for that... but still, awesome prof.

Amazing prof! Funny, knowledgeable, available. She had high expectations, but all of her exams were attainable, and she provided bonus marks to help make up for low exam scores. Had more chapters than other classes on midterms, but that was helpful when the final came around. All around FANTASTIC.

Absolutely hilarious woman. This was the first psychology course I took and she made me fall in love with it! I actually looked forward to class and even brought my friend one class just to show her how awesome it was.

She's fantastic. She's so enthusiastic and she really engages the class. She is a passionate teacher. She keeps the class interesting and you learn a lot.

Eileen is hands down the most incredible teacher I've had at Laurier. She is so enthusiastic and passionate about the course. As long as you care about your mark and are willing to put in effort, you are guaranteed to do well. Just remember that although her midterms are from lecture notes, her final is a combination of the text book and lecture

BEST prof I had in my first year. She's very enthusiastic and makes you interested in what you are learning. She has unique ways of teaching that stick in your mind which was really helpful. I had her first term and changed my classes around for second term just so I could have her again.

Eileen is hands down the best prof at Laurier! She's extremely passionate about the subject and brings so much energy to each lecture. Every explanation is crystal clear and she's more than happy to re-explain concepts. She also has a great sense of humor that had the class laughing non-stop! The only class I was excited to go to every day.

I had Dr. Wood my first year and I still think about her every now and then! She is hilarious and engaging and that really makes all the difference to me. I even brought a friend to a class once because I was so in love with it.

Dr. Wood is one of the best teachers ever. super upbeat and outgoing. loves to make her students feel comfortable and engaged. had lots of fun experiments to do. midterms and exam are strongly based on her lecture notes but some textbook info as well. she has lots of bonus marks to help bring up students grade. would highly recommend her!

She is the best prof I had at Laurier. Very happy, always willing to help, you do need to attend lectures because she does test on lecture material. Honestly...study, listen, and you'll get an A. she is very fair and very very sweet.

My favorite professor I've ever had! She's funny, innovative, passionate, and SO nice. She really engages you in class lectures, and she always has a positive attitude. Explains things really well in class and gives great examples. I wish she was teaching the Psych 102 next semester- I would've switched my schedule around to have her again!

Eileen was such a great prof, and she helped my transition into university so much better! She is halarious and often engages you in her lectures and makes you want to attend class. So happy I had her as a prof, you do have to study for this course, it isn't a bird course thats for sure.

Eileen presents all lectures with humour and enthusiasm. She clearly outlines all the things you need. You could pass the class without reading the text, as her lectures cover 85% of the material in the book.

Great Prof ever! She was so inspiring in lectures and so ready to help students with all kinds of questions. As long as you go to lectures and read the textbook you will definitely get an A. Midterms are mainly based on notes but finals are based on both the notes and textbook.

Eileen is an amazing professor. The exam questions are straight from the textbook and the lectures, as long as you study and review, you do well in the class. She also helps you by having extra credit assignments. The girl calling her "not a good prof" is just angry because she couldn't keep her hands off of her cell phone for 45 minutes.

My grade was not the best, but the prof is amazing. She's clearly really interested in the material and is very dynamic and enthusiastic. DON'T skip class because there are many surprise in-class assignments that are worth a lot of your grade. Also, lecture slides are not posted so make sure you don't miss the lectures.

I switched into her class just to have her as a prof, and it was the best decision I've made. She is super engaging and amusing, making you really interested in whatever you are learning. Lectures are mandatory since the slides aren't posted. Her midterms are completely fair, and as long as you review both lecture and textbook then you are good!

Eileen made first year psych so engaging and interesting! Love her sense of humour and examples used. Definitely would take her as a prof again, in fact I switched into her course for next semester! Her midterms are almost completely based on lecture but the final is lecture and textbook combined. LOVED this prof!

Eileen was a fantastic professor for PS101. Midterms are definitely fair and so is the final exam. Pay attention in class and take detailed notes and you will be very well prepared. Great sense of humor and she definitely shows she cares about her students. She increased my interest in psychology so much so that I'm considering minoring in it!

Dr. Wood is fantastic! Her tests are slightly tougher than other first year psych profs because of a couple 1 mark short answer questions, but her lectures are the most interesting. You will not get bored in her classes, and will actually enjoy being there. Definitely worth the trickier tests to be in her class

She is works hard to have the students learn best. She's the sweetest lady ever, and is always available for questions. Make the best of her classes and the participation marks she offers. Dr. Wood was amazing! As a business student I took psychology for fun and her class was exactly that. She was passionate about the material and actually made me want to go to class. She taught in an interactive way that really helped me remember the material for the exams (which were easy and straightforward)

Would 100% recommend. Engages the entire class- whether you are sat in the front row or the very back.

Gives you so many chances to boost your mark with little optional assignments worth maybe 1 or 2% of your grade but they all add up! Would definitely take a class with her again! She is really passionate about her teaching and her content. So glad I had her in my first year.

Eileen is a professor who teaches for the sake of the love of teaching and not just because she is getting paid. She is so funny, and makes class interesting and fun to go to. Attendance is fairly mandatory because she doesn't believe in posting slides.

HILARIOUS!! She's so funny and i would love to take a course with her again. tests are pretty difficult though, and even if she doesnt cover it in lecture, you're still responsible for going through the textbook to know specific concepts and details. textbook chapters can be up to 70 pages long - if ur not into reading dont take this course

Dr. Wood was an amazing prof. She made my first year very enjoyable. There are lots of opportunities for bonus marks. so don't miss out on those... she is a tough grader, but if u work for it, u will be fine. Overall, she made me like going to class.

Dr. Wood was easily the most entertaining of all of my profs this semester. Really has a passion for teaching and I love her sense of humour. It is possible to get a good mark without attending the lectures at all, but I enjoyed her lectures so much that I went to them anyways. Easy extra credit assignments if you show up to class.

Incredible prof. I'm a BBA but took this as an elective, and it was one of the best decisions of my first semester. She's incredibly caring and makes her lectures creative and exciting. Not a bird course but hard work pays off.

Dr. Wood is a wonderful prof who teaches very well. She has a bunch of bonus work that can be completed. However, this course in general is very heavy and her exams/midterms are quite difficult. Although she goes over the chapter and content of the textbook, it's required to always read it.

Wood is probably the finniest professors I've had. She uses her humour to engage her students and help the material we learn in class really stick with us for exams. The only thing is she doesn't post lecture slides on MLS so lectures are mandatory, and so is fast typing skills. She also truly care for her students and she's easy to talk to.

Dr. Wood is a gem. She is without a doubt one of my favourite professors. She made coming to class fun/enjoyable, and her positive energy is extremely radiant. This woman always has a smile! She also gives out extra credit like candy, which will for sure boost your mark. She is a fair marker and never tries to fool you. Overall spectacular prof!

Dr. Wood is by far on of my favourite professors here. she is very knowledgable and truly cares about her students. Her lectures are interesting and quite funny/easy to stay engaged and she offers many extra credit options. Her midterms and exams were difficult for me, but if you spend enough time studying and reading you'll pass just fine.

Be prepared for group work. Eileen Wood is an amazing lecturer. I took her 3 hr timeslot and she still kept the class engaged. Gives us snacks and breaks. She's great and will make the dirtiest jokes. She's very enthusiastic which makes the content easier to listen too.

Great professor. Teaches lectures in a way that keeps the class engaged through activities, videos, etc. that are relevant to course content. Tests are fair, but lecture attendance is necessary. Also be sure to get a textbook as not all of its content is covered in lecture but is tested. Gives opportunities for extra credit.

Such an amazing prof!! Psych was a lecture I always looked forwards to going to, mainly because of her. She made the material very interesting. To do well on the midterms and final you definitely need to read, makes notes on and memorize the stuff in the textbook as she doesn't cover it all in class. Lots of extra credit though!

Amazing lectures where she gives examples that help reinforce the content. Lectures aren't mandatory but questions show up on her midterms and final that were only discussed in class. I always enjoyed going to her lectures, you can tell she really knows the material and cares that her students do well. Putting in the effort shows through your mark.

Her questions on multiple choice make it merely impossible to succeed. psych overall isn't easy so when you add her multiple choice questions in the mix its a disaster. she gives bonus marks and little extra credit here and there which most definitely help! midterms & exams have questions based off examples talked about in class & won't post slides

She is a good prof, uses her examples from class on her tests (so you have to go) She gives extra credit witch is fire. Her tests are all M/C and they are pretty hard ngl

A real gem of a prof, I don't know a single person who doesn't like her as a lecturer. She makes psychology fun and leaves a lasting impression on the program as a whole. Very glad to have gotten her as a first year prof of my major program.

Professor Wood held the most entertaining lectures. She explains all the content th1oroughly and gives plenty of opportunity to ensure everyone is understanding the content. She is extremely engaging and makes lectures enjoyable.

A super great professor that actually makes psychology fun and lectures worth going to. Her midterm and exam are all multiple choice and really aren't hard if you go to class and read the textbook. She offers extra credit and also uses fun examples that she puts into exams.

She is a great prof and this is an easy class. Moderate amount of work to do. Just read her lectures, do the work on time and you are good to go.

She was such a great prof, gave many opportunities to succeed and even accommodated for students when asked with time. The assignments and quizzes were simple but you still had to take the time and effort im doing them. I think some consider her strict because they missed due dates and such but you will encounter many profs like that.

It would be hard not to get an A+ in this class. Assignment took 15 mins to write and I got perfect, discussion posts are 100 words max and she marks things super fairly. The lessons have so little material that studying is a breeze. The definition of a bird course.

Professor Wood was excellent this year. Regarding UU150 this class was not hard (easy A+) but compared to previous years it is a bit more. Quizzes are all fair just study for them decently and all projects are marked easy. Just remember to actually read instructions and stay on top of deadlines.

UU150 is a pretty easy course. Quizzes are easy but still need to study.

She's a good prof but the quiz was harder than I expected, you definitely need to study for them to get a good grade on them. This course however is now a pass/fail so you need a 60 to pass and it does not count towards your final average, simply for a credit. Easy assignments & takes about an hour to complete the weeks worth of lectures.

Very easy pass/fail class. 1 easy assignment, a few 100-word discussion posts, and a reflection journal which is a few entries 100 words each. The quizzes are a bit harder so you will need to study but the course itself is an easy pass and barely requires any time.

Such a brilliant and inspirational prof. She taught everything with great examples and passion. A very fair grader (not easy but quite fair) with great feedback. If you have a chance to take her class, I would definitely recommend it.

Dr Wood was a fantastic, and hilarious professor. She obviously enjoys what she is teaching. Although attendance is not mandatory, she does NOT post her slides, so unless you can get them from somebody else, it is important to go, as her tests are based off of the lectures and not the textbooks. The tests are hard, but fair.
