Dr. Frieda has a very ironic sense of humor that she uses to spice up some of the more dull parts of the material. Does a lot of in-class activities to help you learn. Her tests are pretty easy and the lab section of the class is a breeze.

She does a great job of teaching the material and still keeping you interest. Her tests are pretty easy and lab is easy enough.

She is a great teacher, her GTAs are terrible. Hernandez is the worst Tyson is not much better. Be prepared to have you rough drafts butchered if you have Hernandez. She will claim she taught it to you but she never does. Very tough lab.

Elaina Frieda is awesome!...whoever said that Tyson sucks is stupid. You were probably one of those kids that never showed up. He took time out of his day to talk to me about applying to graduate school etc etc. He's very helpful & cool! So is Frieda.

So nice! Tests come straight from the book so don't worry about studying your notes too much. Keep that in mind and you will get an A.

She is a good teacher. She likes to make jokes and the material is fairly easy. She also gives study guides before the tests, and none of her exams are cumulative.

She is a good teacher and she likes to entertain while she teaches. That makes the class more interesting. Her tests are easy because they come from the notes and the book. There are also opportunities for bonus points and extra credit. Take her if you can.

The teacher is crazy in a funny way. Keeps the class well entertained since the material is kind of dry/dull. She gives a study guide so the tests arent bad at all. Material isnt hard-its just memorization. Teaches with slides so it is easy to follow and take notes. The lab part for this class is just annoying and a waste of time.

She has a lot of energy so it keeps your intrest...ske posts the notes on WebCT and then reads them basicall to you and that is on the class. She also gives you study guides for the test and the test is like exactly the same thing. Take her if you can!

She is kinda crazy and loud, but keeps you somewhat interested with all the voices that she makes. The study guides help out a lot and she gives extra points on tests if she thinks some questions were unfair. You don't really have to go to class b/c she puts the slides on webct. Take her!

Entertaining lectures. Always energetic. Great attitude and helpful if you go to her before the end of the semester. Not an easy A though.

Dr. Frieda is by far the best teacher at Auburn. She makes things interesting, gives extra credit for various things, and gives out a study guide before the test. She is taking a break from teaching because she has a little boy but she will be back and is the best teacher in the psych dept.

A great professor. She curses a lot and is hilarious, but her class is no joke! One has to study a lot; but she makes it interesting and fun at all times. You will not fall asleep! Heard she is leaving temporarily, and hope she comes back! Auburn's Psych Dept. won't be the same without Dr. Frieda! You won't get an "A" unless you really work hard!

great teacher! she tells stories and yells and wakes everyone up. Exams do require a little studying but certainly not more than a day or 2 before. she puts in so much extra credit and projects that i only had to make a D on the final to get an A in the class!

Great teacher. 4 exams (including non comprehensive final), research paper or community volunteer work, online quizzes, plus LOTS of bonus points. Attendance isn't required but it definitely helps. Read the book!

Tests weren't too bad, but go over the notes and read the book, and you get a choice of volunteering/short essay or a longer essay. Good teacher, made class interesting.

I took Frieda for Developmental Psych and the class was actually enjoyable. She is a very lively woman and makes the material interesting. The tests can be tricky so just make sure your studying from her notes beforehand. Overall a pretty good class and teacher.

Dr. Frieda is hilarious. Lecture is not mandatory (lab is), but you should probably go. Everything is straight from the book, but the exams are challenging. You have a group project in research methods, so do not miss lab. The material is painfully boring, but Dr. Frieda's personality makes up for it.

Dr. Frieda is the craziest but funniest professor I have probably had. But I can't say the same for the class itself. The material honestly gets quite boring and combining that with lab makes the class seem awful. There are 4 tests which usually come mostly from notes and the lecture book. Just don't take this class lightly.

Dr. Frieda is hilarious and I would definitely recommend taking her class. This was Child Psyc, and she didn't assign a textbook, but had us read articles. She said she was going to give quizzes, but got fed up with us and didn't grade them, She gave two tests and assigned a ten-page paper, so not a lot of opportunity for grades. Tests were hard.

she is hilarious BUT she is so technologically challenged she takes forever to put in grades and doesn't respond to emails. her tests are stupid because they're all statistics. i asked her about a question on the test and she didn't even recognize it and said she took questions from the book's test bank

You don't have to write a 10 page paper, but you do have to propose a project at the end of the semester. I actually really liked Dr. Frieda because she's hilarious, jokes around w/ the students, & doesn't make the lectures boring. She can be scatterbrained. 4 exams including final. **Just read the book!!!** She gives you a study guide.

Great professor. Funny and caring. Not an easy class though. Four exams that make up majority of the grade and a big poster project that is done though lab. Homework about once a week that's an easy completion grade. She does a great job explaining things in detail if you ask her.

Heard this class was terrible but it wasn't bad! Lectures were helpful but reading the book helped. Her tests were easy if you read, and she is much more likely to help you if you participate in class and go to her office hours. I only went to see my tests and she always was nice to me and helped me more on the tests or was more lenient about stuff

Research Methods is a pretty dry course. Elaina tries to lighten the subject but she can sometimes come off as pretty disorganized. She is a really nice person and wants her students to do well knowing that it is a really boring class. I went in for office hours which helped a lot because most of the test material is straight from the book.

I was expecting this class to be terrible and super hard from what I heard from friends. However, as long as you put in the work and put forth a genuine effort and care for the class, you'll get an A. Make sure to do your prep guides whole heartedly as that prepares you really well for the tests. Her tests start off easy but get harder throughout.

Dr. Frieda is HILARIOUS! she will always make you laugh. She is a little scatter brain and tends to jump around a lot during her lectures but her class is always interesting. She is always willing to help you if you do not understand something. Her test tend to be very hard to study for because you never know what to study. But overall I loved her!

I rarely attended classes and studied for exams a little bit the night before and still managed a high B and scored higher than the average on every exam. I found the class interesting and some of the topics can be challenging but definitely not a hard class overall. Dr. Frieda is amazing and truly does her best to help you understand and do well.

Dr Frieda is great! we had online homework assignment and 4 non cumulative exams, and occasionally a random in class quiz. i recommend taking her if you are a psych major or minor!

Dr. Frieda is hilarious and such a nice lady. But you will definitely need to put a lot of effort into her class to do well, including reading almost every page of the textbook and taking notes on it, as well as coming to class every day. She takes a while to respond to emails and there is a lot of HW but just know that going in and you'll be fine.

This class is difficult but doable. There are lots of assignments and readings, and the exams are hard. Be prepared to study. However, Dr. Frieda definitely knows what she is talking about, and she and her TAs are available for extra help. If you put in the effort to learn the material, this class is worth it.

Dr. Frieda was a great teacher. She was really funny and worked to make sure we got the most out of the class. There are required readings, some easy assignments, an APA paper project, a midterm, and a final. You have to work for it, but if you're willing to put in the effort you'll gain a lot from this class. She wants you to succeed and to learn.

Such a funny, passionate woman. Four noncumulative tests, chapter questions and quizzes, and weekly writing activities. Only complaint is sometimes test questions were vague or about material that was briefly mentioned in the book. Required attendance on Fridays, which gave an indication of what would be focused on the test

Dr. Frieda is a character. She's really nice in a one-on-one meeting, but she can be overwhelmingly energetic for a morning class. She really just wants everyone to be involved and learn. Super nice lady, and always available to help with whatever you need.

Dr. Frieda is so sweet and her lectures are entertaining. She has some trouble with technology but it doesn't affect class too much. There are time-consuming chapter assignments and quizzes due every so often, but it isn't an insane amount of work. The tests are easy as well and she drops the lowest grade as long as you have at least a 60 on each.

Clear grading criteria. Attendance is mandatory but I really enjoyed going. Study the material and an A is easily attainable. I miss her already. Take her!

I absolutely love Dr. Frieda! She's one of the funniest professors I've had at Auburn so far, and she made her lectures fun and interesting. I will say that the reading assignments are a bit time-consuming, but they're pretty straightforward. The exams also count for the majority of your grade so study hard!

She is hilarious and overall awesome, I'm not into research at all but she made it bearable because of how great she is. Homework every week but it's participation, only two exams before the final so make sure you read syllabus!!

Dr. Freida is an amazing professor! She is very carefree and always makes class interesting. Course content is very extensive, but she does her best to explain. Two exams before the final. Writing and exams are each 40% of your grade so definitely a decent amount of work! TA grades writing assignments pretty meticulously.

Even if that is not enough, she literally gives you study guides, practice quizzes, whatever that can make it better for you. Dr. Frieda is a very eccentric teacher to say the least. Although, the random noises and yelling can be very jarring especially if you have her class early in the morning. She is a very kind teacher, and you can tell she really does care about her students. She'll go off topic in lectures, and they tend to have nothing to do with the test material.
