Great teacher, lots of fun! Great sense of humor.
Cannot understand her at times. When you ask her a question..she'll say she'll go over it in a few mins and never does. wonderful at lab! but not lecture.
Strong Portuguese accent, has a sense of humor about words she messes up. She's a wonderful person, very funny, knows her stuff.
She is a diligent professor with a sincere desire to do what it takes to help her students succeed. She utilizes hands on techniques in lab, reinforcing learned material. She always comes to class with a positive attitude. We are truly fortunate to have her at ccccd.
Insightful & enthusiastic teacher! Consider yourself lucky to be enrolled in her class. As long as you read the chapters, tests & bonus quizzes will be a BREEZE. This does not mean she is easy, but she does take time to make the lesson fun & painless to learn.
She is THE BOMB. Loved her! Had to drop her class, tho, cuz I have a serious problem dissecting a cat! (NOT her choice) she was willing to come up with alternatives for me & work with me but the chairperson above her wouldn't approve them. Great sense of humor and tons of knowledge, too. She's an MD, moves fast, & lets you know that up front
She is the best teacher I've had in a long time. She is so helpful, and goes over everything again is someone doesn't understand. She does go a little fast, but you can always stop her and ask her to go over something again. She is great. I'll always recomend her, and I'm thinking about takin her for a&pII during the summer.
Great teacher! Went above and beyond to help her students. Even if you were not in her lab she would still help you. I have Amira for A&P2 and I wish I had Fanini. I want to take A&P2 over(b/c I didn't learn from Amira) and this time I will ONLY take it from Fanini!
She is a great teacher that not only is very helpful in the classroom, but she really cares if her students learn the material. She is fair and quick with getting assignments back. I learned alot from her and would recommend her to anyone taking the course.
She is a great teacher! Tests are not easy, but if you study and go to class, you should be fine. She explains things very well and gives you tips on how to remember them! Very good teacher!
She's a fabulous lecture teacher will slow down or go over something until you understand it. She's picked up the slack to help us with lab during lecture because we had a lousy lab instructor. Also, compared to other instructors who think they're doctors and they're not, she wants you to learn the basics before you can answer clinical questions.
The BEST professor at CCCCD! The most humble, kindest MD I have met. Always willing to help students. She wants all her students do get an A. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her. Finds different ways of explaining things to help your understanding. Very patient and sweet. Must take her for A & P!!
She was a good professor but she can be confusing. She asks some questions on the test that she did't even mention in class. But overall she was ok.
she has an accent so it's hard to understand her sometimes. She is very nice and funny but she expects pre med. She's a certified doctor so she knows what she's talking about and has alot of experience on the field and about medical school.
Very clear, direct, on top of everything, and knows her stuff! She will always give you the correct answer unlike Mathis. Her tests are out of the book. Know everything and study. It is not impossible to make an A like the other professors. If you need an A take Fannini, but you have to really study. Highly recommend!!! Very cute and lively!
Fanini YES, is KIND and funny. BUT, she is not 100% clear. I took her for AP 1 & 2 EXPRESS class Fall 06. She was CONFUSING, and TALKED at the speed of a train. Think: Express class is awfully hard. She's not the BEST professor, but YES, is probably the EASIEST. and is the best for any chance of an "A." if u TRULY want to LEARN, it's yur call.
The subject itself is very hard and complicated. It takes a lot of reading and understanding to pass this class. With Fanini, she will take as many time as needed to go over and over the subject during or after class. The easiest thing to do is go over the subject before hand so you kind know what's goind on. I highly recommend her over any other.
Dr Fanini is terrific and really knows her stuff. She teaches is a way that is easy to comprehend. Now this is an A&P so if you are looking for an easy "A" you will not find it with anyone!! This class involves a lot of information that has to be covered in a short period of time. Dr Fanini is extremely intelligent and fun too!!!!
Has weekly quizes, 4 lab reports and 3 practicals. Extremely helpful; you will learn something. Not a walk in the park; you will have to study but she will work with you to explain what you need to know. Knows her stuff and is focused. A little hard to understand but you'll get used to her. Would take her again. Thank you Dr. Fanini - Love Ya!
Fanini is the BEST professor to take. I took the express course, and it was definitely hard, but Fanini made it so much easier and enjoyable. She is very personable. Our grade was based on 5 tests. We took a quiz before each test, and it was just for bonus points to add on the test. We didnt have any other assignments. Questions are from the book.
Fanini is the best. I had her for lecture and lab. Don't freak out about her accent when you get into the class, you'll get used to it, and I think personally it helped me remember words by thinking of how she said it. She amazingly sweet and really helps you when you need it. Very organized and gave practice quizzes before tests. Take her class!
This is the second semester I have taken with Dr. Fanini. She is a wonderful instructor who will go over the stuff over and over again as many time as necessarry. I wish that she has taught the lecture tough. She is the best Anatomy instructor!
Took A&P I&II Express last semester. I am working on a 2nd bachelors so have had a lot of classes & would NOT recommend Express unless you absolutely have to - It is a TON of information (not hard, but a lot) Fanini is a great instructor, but be prepared to work and study from the book in addition to notes. Tests are fair but will take some work.
She is an amzing teacher. She's funny, easy to talk to, and extremely clear on all assignments. I don't know how Collin County got here but she is really one of the best.
2 her credit she is a very good teacher, makes u really interested..and u walk away w/ really learning something..refers everything to a clinical sense..BUT TEST are almost impossible to make an A.2 put it this way makin a B in her clss thats an A w/ any other teacher.
you had to earn your grade. she doesn't tell you what's on the test or give you any reviews. she will teach you the material though. she's a great teacher.....but if you want someone who will spell every step out she's will not meet your expectations.
She is very knowlegeable! You can get an A, you just have to study hard. You will leave her class knowing more than with any other Biology prof.If you want to learn, take her. If you want an easy A, don't take her!
Took her both for 2401 & 2402, but beware she is very hard. She is a great teacher though and very nice. Be prepared to study beyond your normal studying. Her test always have essay questions and she gives no review. Know everything.
Great professor - you definitely have to work hard for your A though. If you want an easy class don't take her. If you want to KNOW A&P, go for it! You do have to get past the accent but she is very very helpful and teaches the concepts as many times as you need her to She WANTS everyone to do their best..about half of the class was left at the end
Will WORK HARD for this A. The accent is Porchugues so its fast. Shes awesome being an MD Dr she teaches so youll get it. If youre looking for revue or outline for test you wont see it. U have to read and re-read the book. If u have kids, job, or other classes dont expect an A you wont have the time. If u want knowledge that others just wont get with other Profs then do it. Start a study group, it makes it so much better than going it alone.
she is extremely amazing teacher. She is very enthusiastic and makes material very clear. But you have to really work hard and read the book.I took both A&P I&II with her and made an A. Take her work hard it will be fine.
VERY NICE!! her accent is cute but hard to understand even with a tape recorder!! but she has normally one take home test and helps if you need help! She is hard but compared to Donna White at spring creek she is a walk in the park...even though i got a D haha but if you are only taking this class you should pass cause thats the only reason i didnt
This lady is so pleasant! She is always smiling! Very knowledgeable! She does have a heavy Brazillian accent but hang in there after a 2 weeks you will be talking just like her. Her accent helped me to remember things.
Dr. Fanini is a WONDERFUL woman. She is knowledgable and thorough. However, her test questions are VERY difficult. There are no hints, no review and no outline. Much of the class dropped. If you have the time to devote, you will come out with incomparable knowledge of the human body. If you are usually an A student, this class may depress you. HARD
I loved this teacher. She's amazing and I have great knowledge about the body now! Thank you Dr. Fanini
I think the only thing hard to understand is her accent. Once you are past that she is the best professor ever. I travel all the way to Central Campus (vs Spring Creek) just to take her and I don't regret it. Shes pleasant and very helpful. I didn't find the tests hard. A&P is hard no matter what professor you take, so might as well take a good one
Little difficult to understand at first (Brazilian), but you'll catch on. She's SO nice, very caring, awesome lab teacher. A little tougher than most professors on the physiology b/c she was a physician for many years herself! Great experience for A&P I and II.
she is awesome!very nice, she knows her material very well, very helpfull. it is a hard class just because it is AnP,you do have to study hard to make a A in that class.BUT YOU WILL DEF LEARN ALOT FROM THIS CLASS [=
She isn't EASY, but so isn't the SUBJECT. SHE IS A GOOD TEACHER THOUGH! Tests r from her notes& LECTURES! So listen attentively in CLASS! She's nice & approachable. She really wants her students 2 LEARN & is EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF the SUBJECT! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her if u really want to learn & want a challenge! An "A" is NOT impossible.
Dr. Fanini is an awesome person and teacher. I am taking her again for 2402.
If you are interested in taking her class, register fast b/c it fills up pretty much immediately! If you are lucky enough to get in, get ready, because she is amazing and you will learn a ton! If you are going into medicine, she used to be a Pediatrician, so she is very helpful! She is kind, maternal,& brilliant! TAKE HER CLASS IF YOU CAN!
she was great. however, sometimes a bit hard to understand, but clears it up. Tests are not easy, but as long as you memorize the 100s of pages of ppt and read, and reread the text, you will do fine. Wait isn't that what any class is like? A&P is just a lot of memorizing information, and a few concepts. breakdown the information and learn it.
She is very maternal and wants her students to do well - her lectures are very helpful, however, she tests you as if you are sitting for your board exam. That was a little challenging for A&P I - very, very few students escaped with an A.
i loved dr. fanini. she is very hard but really strives to make sure her students understand what she is teaching. as long as you come to class and study her powerpoint, you should get an a......oh as long as u can answer her comprehension questions correctly!
Dr. Fanini is an excellent professor, if you can take her class take it, she will challenge your knowledge and understanding of the material she covers in class. She is willing to help you, she has excellent notes and knows the material well. if you are a nursing student you should take her class at least once.
Loved her class. She was very helpful and her website has a lot of resources.
She is a very good teacher and will spend her time trying to help u understand the concept. Mandatory is a Must. Read and long hour studying is a must. But you will remember it all. TAKE her if you doing nursig.
AMAZING teacher. Great funny stories and pneumonics to help you remember things. ALWAYS eager to help you learn and make things crystal clear. Very fun and easy (as long as you study the ppts and browse through the text, you know, the usual stuff to get a good grade) If you keep up and study an hour before each class you'll make an A no problem! :)
Dr. Fanini is a wonderful professor. You will work hard but getting an A in her class is easy. This is a hard subject but if you take notes, study and attend class you will have no problems. She is very helpful and loves the subject matter. I recommend taking her for both lab and lecture. I spent about 15 to 20 hours a week studying.
Professor Fanini is a great teacher. She wants you to succeed in her class. I found her lab to be very interesting and came out learning tons. I struggled in her lecture class because I am more of a hands on person. In all I escaped with a B. I would recommend taking her for A&P.
No joke this is the best progessor I have met even though I got a c in her class thats because I had some problems and I could not prepare my self for finals + it was in the summer but she is the best of the best I wish all professors can teach like her.
She's AMAZING! As long as you study her ppts and take some notes here and there then you'll make an A, no problem! Her Brazilian accent gets stuck in your head which comes in handy when you're remembering things for the tests ;)
This is a hard course, you must study a lot. Very helpful and nice to learn from. Lab is easy if you study. Another CCCC BIOL professor said she requires and teaches more material than really needed for 2401, and that is true. Lectures were a little hard to follow. Overall I recommend her.
Her class is not easy but the exams are straightforward and fair. Her accent is not a problem once you get used to it. She is very patient and will repeat until she feels everyone understands. Great teacher!
No A&P class is easy. Get that in mind. With that aside Fanini is a good teacher. She wants to you do your best. At times it is hard to understand certain words she says, but all you have to do is stop and ask her to clarify. I had a pretty decent experience. She gives out bonus points too!
Dr. Fanini is the BEST!! I really wish I would have taken her for A&P I. She explains things as best as possible and relates them to real life scenarios. She really wants all of her student to succeed so she will help you go the extra mile! Her lecture tests are rather difficult, so you'll have to study. But taking her class is definitely worth it!
A&P is not easy, but we take it one semester at a time:) If you put effort into Fanini's class, you are going to reap the rewards and learn so much in prep for nursing. She's very supportive and so helpful! Use her office hours!!! Take the time to review the front of the book, mainly chemistry(proteins, ions, glucose, ATP, etc.)you can get an A!
I took her for lecture and lab for 2401 and 2402. She is the best professor I have ever had!! This is not an easy class but she does all she can to help you do well!
Although the material itself is a lot to digest in one semester, Fanini will do what she can to help you pass the class. She is around during office hours to help explain anything needed. Use them!! Recommend recording the classes. If you make the effort so will she.
Fanini was great at explaining a huge amount of information. She's very nice and approachable. As long as you study her slides and use mastering a&p, you will do fine.
Professor Fanini is a great teacher. It is very obvious that she loves what she does. A&P is a very hard class to start with. In my opinion she makes it even harder. She wants you to know every detail. No study guides. Basically if it was talked about in class or anywhere in pwr pt you need to know it! You never know what will be on test.
Very hard class; she even makes it harder. She prepares students when they go off to a major institution. She wants you to know every detail that happens in A&PII, which I tink is hard and impossible. Make sure u have plenty of time to deticate to this class. She is a wonderful professor teaching, but she is hard. BE PREPARED TO STUDY ALL THE TIME!
Ok, you have to deticate most of your time to this class. Extremley HARD. She even makes it very harder by telling you every detail that happens in A&P. She even wants u to know all the details as well. She prepares u when u go off to med school which I liked. If u r someone who just needs to pass A&P, take someone else. Take her if u want to learn
Hands down the best professor you will ever find for A&P. Its a hard class but she makes it interesting and you will learn a lot. This class is hard regardless of professor but she makes it a little easier to learn. Her last test is a take home test. I did not find her tests challenging at all. Yeah you got to study but her tests are not hard.
I took her class beuse of tie management not because of her rating on this website. I wish I did not take her. She has a Brazilian accent which is hard to get pst, and she cannot pronounce things correctly so its is veryhard to learn! Probably going to fail thisclss which sucks because I got an A in lab with a different teacher.
Dr. Fanini is very nice and makes class very interesting. A&P I is a hard class, a lot of information to retain. Fanini makes it harder with the exams, VERY HARD. There is no study guides or reviews, you have to pay attention and read as much as possible. She makes the class fun, but at the end is really up to you to understand the concepts.
This professor is hard. Make sure you study and know case studies as she will quiz you on it. Take home test was the 3rd test and was tough, last test had a review, but it was not on the final. No reviews for her class, just study every word in each chapter as you need to know everything.
ok am here to tell the truth, all the reviews here are incorrect, mrs fanini is a difficult teacher, most of the time she has something in her mouth and this makes it hard to understand her plus she has an accent, ask a question she goes around x3.
This is a very challenging, time consuming class. Dr. Fanini cares about her students and wants you to be successful. The Brazilian accent can be difficult to deal with on top of the difficult subject matter.
I was scared to take Fanini because of some of the reviews on this site, but I am so glad I did! She is not an easy professor because this is not an easy subject. She used tons of real world examples! Her accent was a little hard at first, but you get used to it. Just make sure to study and use the Mastering, bc theres tons of study materials.
She is a great teacher. This class in general is really hard, but she is always available to answer questions. Do not take this class if you are not willing to work hard
She is a great professor. This class is really hard, but she is always available to answer questions.
If you have the opportunity to take Fanini, please do so. She has a slight accent but you can get it used to it after about the third class. You can easily get an A in the class if you attend her class and study for her exams. I never made lower than a 97 on her exams if that says anything.
Dr. Fanini is quick to respond to emails if you need any help and always open to meet with you if you do not understand a topic. The course itself is hard, so you will definitely need to study, but by the end of the class you're sure to walk away with an understanding of the material, which will help you with the following science classes.
Fanini is absolutely fantastic. She does have an accent, but if you ask her to slow down you can understand her. She's always making sure the class understands before she moves on to the next topic. Print out her powerpoints and follow along with them in lecture and you should be ok. Don't be discouraged by some of the reviews. TAKE HER!!
Best professor I have ever had, by far. Lectures are a lot of fun and her teaching style and sense of humor help you to retain much more information than most lecturers. She is a very genuine person and she really cares. I wish she had other classes that I could take!
She has a great personality and is very thorough with her lectureslab. However, this class in general has a LOT of information. If you don't take it seriously, good luck making a good grade. But she does a lot to help you prepare for practicals, and is open to help anyone who asks. She genuinely wants to see her students succeed. Take her!
Extremely sweet, helpful, and caring professor. She makes the class very enjoyable. She encourages students to ask questions and wants to make sure that everyone understands before moving on. Take her! You will learn the subject very well.
Dr. Fanini is an excellent professor. Unlike, my 2401 instructor, she really wants her students to succeed. She has an open door policy and always makes herself available for help. She went beyond the call of duty to help me learn better study skills, minimize test anxiety, and other things. I highly recommend her for Anatomy & Physiology courses.
Dr. Fanini was great, I took her both lab and lecture and she tries very hard to make you pass yes YOU! I hard a very difficult time due to personal reasons and didn't know I'll make a B even though I rarely read until last minute. She is a super professor so take her and please read ahead. She gives bonus points in lab to make up quizes.
Dr. Fanini is awesome, she really tries to make all her students pass. I took her for both Lab and Lecture and i liked her teaching methods. I was a full time employee with lots of personal issues but always passed her quiz and looked forward to her class. She prepares you for the health field, take her and you wont regret. i will take her Again
Dr. Fanini is an AMAZING teacher! The only reason the easiness portion is low is simply because A&P is a hard class. You have to go to class, and read your books and do the online additional assignments if you want an A. She sets realistic expectations and tells you EXACTLY what she wants and what she is looking for. She is incredibly helpful also.
Professor Fanini is probably the best teacher I have ever taken. She explains the information thoroughly, and goes in to depth with things you need extra background information on. I would recommend her if you're taking Anatomy I or Anatomy II. She's great!! Quizzes online for every chapter discussed, due by Lecture Tests, as well as 4 tests.
The HONORS class is much easier than her regular class. Lab has 10 quizzes and 3 practicals, and she gives plenty of xtra credit. Lect has online quizzes (do them together because they are hard) And clinical cases that are done in groups - NO exams!! Show up and participate easy A. Plus she is an AMAZING professor, very helpful and caring.
Dr. Fanini was very nice but her expectations for the students were very unrealistic and unreasonable. She stated we need to spend 5-6 hours a day studying for the class which just wasn't attainable as a full time student who also works. Do not recommend taking her.
Fanini is the best!! The subject material is difficult and requires a lot of memorization, but if you do your best and actually do the work it will pay off. I took her for both a&p1 and a&p2honors, she gives extra credit worth 10 points on every quiz and extra credit worth 5 points on each practical. She makes the course enjoyable.
Fanini is the sweetest kindest professor I have ever had, however she demands so much from her students. You will only do well in this class if you dedicate 6 hours a night to reading her power points and maybe be enrolled in one other class. She is great but unrealistic for sure. Take someone else if you can.
Extremely sweet lady, super super nice. However her expectations are very unrealistic. Unless you have time to study hours and hours every night you might struggle. No study guide for tests, only review her power points. At least 3 test per chapter w/ nearly 100+ slides for each chapter. I was essentially cramming between each test.
Fanini is a very sweet lady & she wants the best for you but DON'T TAKE HER. In both Lab & Lecture she gives you way too much to know (3 chapters per test, 200 slides per chapter) with no time in between to actually study, and the tests/practicals barely touch on half of what is taught. Half of our class was failing and she didn't change a thing :(
Dr. Fanini is a very nice person but unless you want to feel like a zombie for a semester DO NOT TAKE HER. She teaches as if we should already know what she's talking about and her lectures are so long and fast that you can't pay attention for more than 15 min. Hardly any time to actually study for tests. No extra credit. Worst class I have taken.
Dr Fanini is very knowledgeable & gives lots of information in the class. But DONT TAKE HER. Her tests are tough - read every line in the book + all her 100+ ppt notes + extra to get 90+ . Practicals/quizzes have bonus points but you lose 10 pt for each wrong answer in tests. She expects you to know everything in chapter + notes before each class!
Not only does she give you chances in class to ask questions, you can even ask questions about the previous day's lecture at the beginning of the next class. She is available during office hours and will sit with you to help determine your mistakes on your tests. You earn your grade, but you will be ahead in your field with knowledge retention.
Professor Fanini is one of the best teachers that I've had ever in my life. She is enthusiastic, caring, available, and tries to hit several type of learning styles in lectures. She does not believe in a stupid questions, encourages you stop her to clarify, but you will earn your grade. Test of higher thinking, application type questions.
Easily the best professor I've had so far. She has such a passion for anatomy and her lectures are pretty easy to follow. This is a pretty tough class and you have to read a lot and work for it but she keeps the class interesting and fun. No she doesn't REQUIRE you to read her power point beforehand but it would help to read the book before class
Dr. Fanini was the best! Nobody signs up for this class for fun, but she makes it bearable! She's funny, she holds your attention and explains everything thoroughly. She does off on tangents, but they are amusing as well! Print out her Power points. She'll tell you what she really wants you to know! All test built from her Powerpoints!
Dr. Fanini is a very sweet lady. She is always ready to help you if you have any problems. Her honors classes are really challenging and she can tell if you have been doing your studies. If you take her APII she expects you to know API, for API to know basic BIOL. So be always prepared to answer questions in the classroom. Read a lot. Take notes.
I love Dr. Fanini. She tries to make lecture interesting, sometimes funny too. She presents materials in different formats for different types of learning - words, diagrams, illustrations. Always willing to answer questions and explain more thoroughly. Her tests are tough, though. They definitely make you think, not basic information questions.
I really loved Dr. Fanini! She was always kind, respectable, and genuinely cared about her students. Her lectures were always interesting, and since I took her honor class, there was a lot of open discussions that made me feel closer to my classmates. I felt comfortable in her class and really enjoyed having her medical doctor perspective.
Great professor! Tests are hard but she posts practice tests, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM!
Dr Fanini is so sweet! Yes, she has an accent, but I got used to it within a week. She explains things very well and really cares about the progress of her students. I wouldn't say her tests are hard, there are some questions that require a little critical thinking but for the most part, it's straightforward.
Professor is an ONE of the BEST a&p professors for both lab and lecture. She may have a strong accent, but her lectures are still informative. She ensures her students understand the material before moving on. Lab practicals are exactly like her lab quizzes. She gives you everything you need to know for practicals and exams.
MD Fanini is great. A&P is a no joke class. But she makes it enjoyable to learn.
A&P I and A&P II are the hardest classes I've ever taken, but Dr. Fanini is super intelligent and does an awesome job at explaining the material in a way that makes sense! She's so sweet and genuinely cares for her students, I recommend her to anyone taking A&P!
Dr. Fanini is a nice person but her tests are really hard. She is a doctor and expects you to know everything like a surgeon. The class average for all the lecture tests and practicals was 50% and below. 14 F out of 19 students. The test reviews are not related to the actual test at all. ANP is already hard and she makes it even harder to learn.
Do not take this professor's class if you are not already familiar with A&P material. She teaches as if you should know the material already. She does not do a good job of making sure you fully understand the material. She makes this class hard for literally no reason. The 100 +more ppts she gives lectures over aren't even what is on the exams.
Take this class if your already familiar with A&P. There's not much homework but TESTS ARE VERY HARD. There are over 100+ powerpoints for a 10 question quiz. She's very nice and helpful but expects you to know everything already.
I passed with a C because I had an A in lab...I was warned about her class but went with the reviews I read on here. I wish I would have listened. Her test are insane! If you are not an honor or straight A student the likelyhood of passing her class will depend on your lab portion. If you are a nursing student think twice before taking Fanini
You can do well in Dr. Fanini's class! I simply watched all of her lecture videos that she posted to canvas; she details everything you need to know and explains everything in depth in these videos. She even tells you what will be on the exam. A&P is hard but she had so many resources and is always there to help. Don't be afraid of this class!
She is overall an amazing teacher! Just be prepared to do a lot of work outside of class. The tests are a lot like the practice tests she gives during class. I watched the lecture videos and came to class and found that to be very helpful. This is a higher level class and you do have to study a lot outside of class.
If I had to choose I prefer her more for lecture. Her lectures are very good and watching the lectures she posts on canvas really helps. Going to class really helps because she uses lots of visuals for visual learners. She is very kind and welcomes any questions. If you're willing to put in the effort and study a lot then you should do good.
Professor Fanini was nice but very tough. She is hard to understand with her accent. But also, her exams were really hard. When I asked her what I should be studying for the exam, she literally said I dont know. She likes to pull content for the exams from the PowerPoint, study guides and book. Meaning, you have to study EVERYTHING for an exam.
This class was an absolute nightmare. Pick another professor. There are so many issues, but the main two issues I had was her lack of communication and its unclear what you are supposed to be studying. None of the S.G match what you are learning and the videos dont match the chapters. Its a contact guessing game on what you should be studying.
This class was harder than it needed to be, especially for lab. Quizzes are online but very difficult, timed, 1 try only. Will not allow any extensions. Practicals are easier than in AP 1. I made a 96 in lecture but a 75.9 in Lab. Professor is very smart but seemed very scatterbrained and would go back on an explanation at least once a class.
Her tests are crazy difficult and our tests averages were always an F or below. Lecture was boring and you never knew what you should really be studying because sometimes test questions focused on random specifics. DO NOT take this Professor unless youre an A+ student and dont work. Studying requires 100+ PowerPoints, textbook, & lecture notes.
Professor Fanini is very knowledgeable. She has a very thick accent, but you will get used to it in the second week of the class. She is a very tough grader. I made an A in the class, but if you are not a self-motivator and a self-reliant learner, you might encounter difficulty taking her class. Our class average consistently revolved around 50.
She gets us prepared for any health profession. She is caring and very much accessible in and out of class.
There were times where I had to teach myself some topics. She moves quickly from topic to topic, and is much better as a Lecture than a Lab (I had her for both). She did offer extra credit on certain quizzes, but with her quizzes it was sometimes hard to understand what she was pointing at. Use her study guides for quizzes and practicals, it helps.
Her teaching style is fantastic. In lab, she has two review days prior to a practical exam. She'll walk over each station with you and tell you what she will and won't be using on the practical. It isn't required to walk with her from station to station, but it sure does help.
Lovely person and very willing to work with your schedule. Tests/quizzes are fine- just read the text. I didn't study for anything until the night/morning before and did okay. I'm sure others enjoy her teaching style, but I probably wouldn't take her again because I was very bored and constantly falling asleep in class.
Great professor with a real passion for the subject. She is invested in every student and always will do her best to make sure you strive in her class. She provides a plethora of resources that will enable you to do well. Just prepare to spend a fair amount of time outside of class studying.
I absolutely loved Dr. Fanini, she's a sweet person and a fantastic teacher. She will definitely do her best to work with your schedule although attendance is mandatory. She taught A&P in a way that was easily digestible and always gave extra credit opportunities. Her final on bones and muscles was questionable though.
Dr. Fanini is a sweet professor who teaches A&P in an engaging way. Attendance is mandatory, but she works with students' schedules. The material can be challenging, so using study tools like unstuck AI alongside the class resources is helpful for staying on top of the content.
Dr. Fanini is totally passionate about what she teaches and has a kind spirit! This is, however, a class where you MUST be self-disciplined. Reading before class is crucial because everything goes by RAPIDLY. Her tests were tricky because there were multiple correct answers, which was pretty tricky. If you try, though, she is open to work with you!
