Excellent professor. She's approachable, caring, and genuinely interested in both her students and the material she teaches. If you want to experience teaching at its finest, take Elaine's class. She truly is the personification of perfection.

I got an A+ in Abnormal psych. As long as you attend class, read the material, and participate in the case studies regularly, you will get an A just like I did. There is a large amount of work but it's TOTALLY worth it. For once, a teacher actually cares that you LEARN the material. I'd LOVE to take another class with her. VERY bright woman.

I don't understand why a lot of people do not like her. She is an amazing teacher. If you listen in her class and read the textbook, then you will do good in her class. She is extremely nice. I took two of her psychology classes and I had to take a few test days off because of family emergencies and she let me make up my tests. She is awesome!

This is a good teacher. She is passionate about what she teaches and it shows in her attitude. I got an A in this class. It's not hard to do if you do work and the extra credit wasn't even neccessary for most of the class. We were successful without it!

I took her class online. She has a manageable workload. Her tests came straight from the book, so I suggest reading it. She gave up to 100 points extra credit for answering questions (took hours though). I enjoyed having her as a teacher.

I read this website prior to enrolling in her class, and I honestly think that people are being really unfair when rating her. She responded to my emails within a timely manner and offered extra credit on a weekly basis. She places emphasis on participation too. As long as you do your work and put effort into the course, you will be just fine.

I personally did not think professor Louisell was a bad teacher. I took this class online and was prepared to teach myself because that is how an online class is. I ready every single chapter and really understood the information and received an A. It is only hard if you do not put in the effort.

She is a great teacher. Was very clear on grading, gave more than fair shot at getting an A. Gave extra credtit oppurtunity, 2 chances for each quiz. Must read to do good in class, if you read and outline this class is a no brainer, and actually pretty interesting.

I took Lifespan Development with her last semester and She gave assignments that were thorough and well thought out. She knows her stuff and it so very willing to help you to understand as well. She has a stern nature and she wont tolerate nonsense or laziness. If you plan on learning something, you shouldn't have any problems in her class!

Interesting forums in this class. Very straightforward testing. You must read the ENTIRE chapter to get an A. She gives you two chances for each test. Always responds to e-mail quickly. Stopped by her office on campus, very nice. The down side is that you have a final exam on campus-no way out of it! Will take her for abnormal psychology.

Very good class. She makes you think and TALK. Group discussion usually dominated by a couple of students. Still better than most. Great class if you are majoring in psych or nursing. She will make you work & read, but is generally pretty easy. A lot of extra credit in this class.

Have taken this prof X2 online. I liked lifespan better than intro. She is online everyday and will answer questions by e-mail, phone or skype. Very understanding of situations that come up. Lots of extra credit in 253 but it is not the usual paper. Had to work hard for an A. read the syllibus and you will be fine!

I am taking this class online and honestly not as bad as I thought. 12 chapter quizzes and drops the lowest ones. They kind of are difficult but you have two attempts. 2 forums the whole course and if you miss one she adds one for you to make up. She also, gives an extra credit forum at the end. Overall, chapter quizzes, forums, midterm, and final.

Going to be straight forward- its a difficult class. You must put in 100 percent effort to get the grade you want. That being said, Elaine is a very educated, and inspirational person. She knows her facts on psychology and she will truly change the way you receive things. work hard, participate, go above and beyond and you will see results.

Passionate about the subject and takes it seriously. High expectations of students. If you want a challenging, engaging class or if psychology is your major (or an important part of it), than she is for you. Some caution if you have less time or interest. Knowledgeable and goes beyond the textbook. Has her own viewpoints which lends to debate.

Good class. This instructor is very motivating, gives you time to discuss your goals. Encouraged me to pursue nursing even though I was ready to give up due to long wait to get into program. Take this class if you are interested in psychology in general or like me, psychiatric nursing.

Took her for Abnormal Psych and Psi Beta. She is one of the most influential professors I've ever had. She really taught me HOW to study, stressing reading and research and it has helped me through the rest of my college career. I'm now in nursing school and I still use some of her tips. She WILL help you if you let her, and you respect her.

Very nice andrespecful professor. It was a pleasure taking the Abnormal Psychology psy 251 class with her. Very knowledgeable about whole material. The Lectures are in class abd tests are online. She is very helpful even after finishing the class with her. She was a great support for me when I was applying for my graduate degree.

this teacher is nice, she has pretty quick replies but no deadlines for chapter quizzes so beware.. I had 8 quizzes due on one day so you have to pace yourself cause she doesn't help with that. Final exam is in class so you cant quizlet everything, you have to study the material. If you want to be treated like an adult this is the class tho

She really is a great teacher. She can seem a bit rude at times but she gives students so many opportunities to easily pass. Once a week class meets and you take a chapter test and you can redo it later at home if you want. gives extra credit that can bump your grade a full letter if you need it. The only way you are failing is not showing up

She's a good professor although I took her class online. It wasn't difficult but sometimes it felt as though there was too much to do at once. The final was proctored which isn't a bad thing until you realize you have to actually read the book.

I am currently enrolled in psychology online. This instructor has interesting assignments and I like the book. She is online a lot and has responded to my many questions and comments within hours. I met her during office hours and she gave me a great amount of advise about the field of psychology. I hope to take another course from her.

Overall, very easy. I took it online so all of the tests were open book so its easy to get an A on each one. The final exam is the only proctored exam that you have to show up to take. But it was fairly easy too. Almost all of the questions were the textbooks retrieval questions, word for word. So if you studied those, you did great.

Easiest class i've ever taken. You have a quiz every week and two forums for the whole semester which is not a lot considering how easy the quizzes were. They were 25 multiple choice questions for each quiz. Take this course its such an easy A.
