Hardest/most favorite class I've taken so far. Sister Tingey is funny and great to work with. Three weeks into class, I ended up in the hospital for 5 days and she worked with me to get back on schedule at my pace. She expects a lot from her students, but she gives and gives. She has videos each week that make the material easier to understand.

Online course so there is a lot of reading, weekly quizzes and exams. Tingey is a excellent instructor and gives great supplemental lecture videos that are very helpful in understanding the material and helpful for the weekly exams. Additionally she gives weekly practice slides videos for the exams. I would gladly have her as an instructor again.

Sis. Tingey is the best online professor I've ever had. She is quick to give great feedback, has amazing videos that help explain the material for the week, and is very very clear on what she expects of you. The normal learning curve at the beginning of the semester for online classes is much easier due to the way she explains things.

I've taken Psych 111 and Psych 342 from Sister Tingey and I wish I could take every class from her! Her priority is to help students enjoy/have a good experience with the class. She does everything she can (goes above and beyond) to help her students be successful. Just ask her! Her knowledge and experience with Psych add a lot to her class also.

She goes the extra mile and creates fun and interesting video recordings and presentations each week to supplement the reading assignments. Watch the videos, pay attention, and you will do great. Super flexible, I missed a week of school for getting married and she helped me out a ton. Take her. Not difficult. Fun, personable, cares.

Sister Tingey should be teaching other teachers. She listens to feedback and makes real changes. Creates study helps like, "Idiots guide" to weekly assignments common mistakes to avoid. Short videos replace playback of live meetings less embarrassing. Practice slides for weekly exams. Got BYUI to change due dates to give students more time.

Sister Tingey does a live 30 minute optional class each week to review before the test. She also does "Tingey TV" which are short video clips on all the topics learned each week to prepare for the test. She is fun, understanding and very responsive to communication. You couldn't find a better instructor!

This instructor has a gift for sharing the most concisely needed information for the exams, quizzes, etc. She takes the time to make 6 or 8 videos per unit that are maybe 3-8 minutes long and that you can watch when it is convenient for you. She also has a gift for creating a calm, caring atmosphere which will keep your stress level down.

Overall, Sister Tingey was a pretty good professor. However, she blew me off when I made appointments with her. She usually posts helpful videos before exams, sometimes she wouldn't post them until the same day the exam was due (or not at all), which was frustrating. But I think she really cares about students, and I would take her class again.

Sister Tingey is the best! There is a lot of reading in this class, but that's psychology for you. Sister Tingey will work with you and she's so caring. Responds quickly and her announcements and emails help you learn a lot! 10/10 professor!

I loved this course! I kept putting off taking psych111 because of other reviews of the course saying it was a lot of work and hard. It was a lot of reading and work, but doable and rubrics were clear. Professor Tingey was active in the course, updated videos, announcements and readily available with a visit, email, or TA help. I learned so much

Professor Tingey does not leave you without the tools to succeed in this course. She has been thoughtful in what you may need to do well and is there to support and help you along the way. She also expects you to put your all in.

Elaine Tingey is one of the best professors I have had. She is there to answer any questions or concerns you have. She also really cares about each person and wants them to succeed. If you need/want to take this class, take it from her!!!

Sister Tingey is the best online instructor I've had. She always got back to me with explanations and encouragement. I was sick and she let me make things up and I didn't feel embarrassed. I loved her Tingey Videos where she explained the hardest topics for that week. There is a lot to read. She gives actual feedback and you can tell she cares.

Sister Tingey is very kind and responds to emails quickly. She offers help compromises. Her Tingey Videos are especially useful and help the information stick in your brain.

Sister Tingey is one of the best professors I've had, this is my last semester, so there's been quite a few. She responds quickly. She cares that you are successful and is willing to help you in any way she can. She makes weekly videos to help you understand the tougher concepts, and gives exam help. If you are taking this class, take it from her.

Sister Elaine Tingey is a phenomenal teacher. I took her course as a concurrent enrollment student. In addition to an excellent textbook, she created videos explaining the harder concepts from each weeks reading. She really helped me understand the content I didn't understand.

She is so kind and it is very obvious she is wanting to help her students. Her passion and love for the class and her students is very evident in her uplifting messages and feedback. She was super quick in both grading and responding to questions. I would recommend this wonderful instructor to anyone who wants to learn psychology : ).

Professor Tingey is very available to help students. She has videos each week to help with the content that you read about each week. Honestly, if you actually take the time to go through the reading and take notes it should be a pretty easy class.

I love Sis. Tingey. She is an Excellent Professor and I would recommend her to anyone. She's been the easiest professor I've ever had. Yes, there is a lot of reading but it's all very interesting information. Sis. Tingey lets you text or call her whenever and she gives lots of great feedback if you ask her too. She's available whenever you need.

I took this class a year ago, and I still haven't forgotten Professor Tingey. I remember she was super positive and caring and very involved. She was always there if you needed her. The world would be better with more teachers like her. You won't regret taking a class from her!
