fantastic teacher. all you have to do is follow instructions and she will like you. if you want to slack off, it's not too good. but work a little and she will love you for the whole semester.

I really like her.She seemed hard to get along with at first, but once you get to know her she's pretty nice. She seems to not have any patience for really stupid students, I've noticed. The tests arent too bad if you take notes and go to the discussion classes. I would take another class taught by her.

I took the class online. it was pretty easy but a lot of readings to do so that sucked.

judging by some of the comments I would say that most of you people are lazy freshman who just want to slack off in class and get an easy A. its not high school anymore, of course the classes are lots of work.. this teacher was not bad at all, just do the readings and the assignments and ask questions if your confused. no reason not to get a B or A

I took the summer Telecourse Class that she offered...what a joke. All you need to do is watch the videos and do the study guide for each chapter and you will do fine. Don't know where all the negative comments are coming from, unless they are lazy freshman. Dr. Thompson is a good teacher and I enjoyed her class a lot. It was my first class in like 12 years and I got an A in the class by doing my wok. You can't expect to be in college and not work. She might be hard to approach but you're an adult get over it

She knows her stuff. As long as you come to discussion in which she takes attendance and lectures you should do fine. The class consists of three tests and the final exam, which is not cumulative. She is big on respect so try not to talk in her class, because she will call you out on it!

Prof. Thompson may have had the easiest course I've ever taken online. Your grade is based on a series of quizzes which students may retake as many times as they'd like, a post discussing each chapter, and a midterm and final that uses questions straight from the quizzes. Easy "A" and dispite the easiness a very interesting topic.

Dr. Thompson is a passionate psychology teacher who really wants her students to learn. THIS IS NOT HIGH SCHOOL. If you think that this is high school, you probably won't do well in this class. If you actually put time and effort into the class, ask Dr. Thompson for help, and STUDY before the exams, you will do absolutely fine. I loved her!

Attendance is mandatory, even got a sheet in lecture we could use on final. Only 4 tests and the final is NOT cumulative. Important to go to class and take good notes to study for test.There are a few questions on each test strictly from the book but overall,book isn't used much. Go to class, take notes and study and you'll get an A.

I am taking PSY216 online, and it is easy. I was worried about the class because of the reviews that I read here, but it is not bad at all! I was worried after reading reviews, but her online class was an easy A. Just follow directions! The three tests were timed, but not cumulative. All assignments were online at beginning of the semester, so you can work at your own pace. The assignments were a breeze.

I took her I-O Psychology online and it is the easiest class ever. There are quizzes online every week, but you can take them as many times as you want until you get a 100%. You have to do one discussion board post a week as well, but you can work ahead and finish the class early. Two tests, neither of which are cumulative. Very easy A!

take her online class... easiest thing ever... you have to comment on each chapter.. literally like a sentence, then quizzes which you can take over and over again till you get them all right then two tests, midterm and final... seriously so easy

Took her online course, which was well organized and well managed. Didn't have much interaction with her since it was online, but she did take the time to make comments on all homework, and she offered helpful suggestions as well.

Online class was organized. The assignments were mostly easy. The tests, however, 100 questions in 80 minutes covering very detailed information in book.

I took her online class. It was the summer class too so it was A LOT of reading and studying. The tests were 100 questions with 80 minutes but if you read and do the very easy homework its def an easy A. open book tests.. what more do you want?

She lectures 80% of the test and tells you which other parts to read for the tests. She always tells exactly which questions will be essay questions. If you take good notes, pay attention in class, and study a little this class is an easy a. 2 essay throughout the semester is really the only homework she grades. Very easy class

After an initial rocky start she is a very understanding teacher. She tries to help you succeed.

I struggled with her class throughout the semester. But she is a very good teacher and if you read the book and do her work you will get an A. I got a B for her class.

4 exams ONLY nothing else, for entire course, based entirely off of the book/study guide/videos (you can find on youtube) .. read the book, watch the video, follow study guide and you will do fine on test.. its literally directly from those materials. Dr. Thompson was an amazing teacher! She loves Psychology and she is great at it. Always answered questions thoroughly and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this teacher.

She is a great teacher. She knows what she is teaching and will help you if your lost. She is very smart yet can be goofy. Great at her topics and tests were all used from notes.

Summer online PSY 245 course. Dr. Thompson was clear w/ requirements. Quizzes/discussion board posts were due periodically instead of all at once on the last day of class- this really helped me stay on track. The midterm and final were almost completely from the quizzes making them easy as long as you review the prior quizzes. Definitely recommend!

As long as you read the material, truly try to understand it, and turn your work in on time, you will get a good grade. IN THIS CLASS YOU TEACH YOURSELF A LOT. But if you need the extra help she is there for you. I really respect her as a teacher and her style of letting you be if you understand the topic and helping if not worked perfectly for me.

Your entire grade is made up of 3 exams. She gives great lectures for you to take notes on and highlights the important things that will come up again on your tests. Offers extra credit if you do poorly on exams, and she is passionate and easy to follow on her lectures.

The book is a must, no way around not having it. She presents herself as tough but she's not as strict as she likes to appear (although I'm basing this off of an online course, never met her in person.) She can be a bit picky about small things like how your assignments are presented but as long as you stay alert to that. Highly recommend.

This professor got a lot of bad rates, but if you want an easy pass for PSY101 take this class. The homework and reading is standard each week. The tests are easy. The only thing I will admit is she is not very email responsive and it takes her longer to submit your grades. Read the chapters, take good notes, and you'll pass easily.

Professor Elayne was a great teacher especially for an online class. Her syllabus is very detailed so you know exactly what to expect. The class consisted of quizzes on each chapter, discussion board post, and two exams. She is really quick with getting back to you via email. If you do good on the quizzes you're gonna pass the finals!

Professor Thompson was a great teacher, very accessible outside of class, responds to emails very fast, rewards effort with better grades but still gives you a lot of feedback for things you might have missed. Like someone else said, if you do well on the quizzes and practice tests you'll do just fine on your finals. Definitely recommend!

Easy class if you show up and take good notes. Sometimes theres questions that are on the tests that are only discussed in lectures. Not sure what everyone else is complaining about. Dr. Thompson is one of the easiest profs I've ever had. Your grade is based off weekly discussions, 1-2 really easy worksheets a week, and 3 exams. There are practice tests for the first 2 exams. If you get anything other than an A in this class, you have no idea how to use Blackboard.

Loved taking her child psych class. I was worried taking it online but I shouldn't have. She is easy to reach if you have questions and tells you what needs to be done. She pushed weekly discussions and it was nice talking to her as well as classmates online. Read the book and follow the test review and it should be pretty easy

A lot of reading to do but not a lot of work to do. As long as you read you should be fine. Easy worksheets and discussions to post. Each assignment is due every Wednesday. I recommend taking this class online.

I was a little hesitant when this prof told me my 400 points for the class was based only on 4 exams. The exams were alright if you showed up for class and took notes. She did not take attendance. She offered extra credit and extra worksheets to do to make you for your grade. If you pay attention in class and use the wksts to study you will be fine

This class was great because there was no homework. Only 4 exams and everything on the exam is things discussed in class. If you come to class and take good notes its easy to succeed!

Dr.Thompson is a very kind professor. She cares a lot about her students and always wanted us to succeed in her class. She offered many extra credit opportunities. There is a textbook that she never goes over, but strongly recommends that you read the chapters because she adds a few test questions that answers are only found in the textbook.

Professor Thompson gives feedback on every assignment I turned in. She takes the time to read through my assignments and helps me learn the material better in preparation for the midterm and final. Homework was minimal and the quizzes were not difficult if you read the textbook. She likes when you make your discussion board posts fancy.

I took PSY101 web and it was one of my favorite classes from the semester, the professor gives great feedback on your assignment to be able to have a clear understanding of the upcoming exam. I like how organized the assignments were and how understandable the schedule was for the class.

Great class! All assignments are based on the text book. I never found myself searching online for an answer because they were always in the book. Exams have unlimited time to complete. She always made sure to give me feedback on all of my assignments. If I had a question about an assignment she was very responsive. Definitely recommend.

This online course was a breeze. Just use the textbook for assignments, and do the extra credit. shes a good instructor who gives extra points for submitting all assignments on time. her feedback can be a little hard to understand though. the assignments don't take that long either, its usually 2-3 short worksheets and a discussion board post.

READ THIS REVIEW. 8 week ONLINE class. 3 timed exams. 3ish worksheet assignments weekly. LOTS of reading. Lots of material. You need to rent/purchase the online textbook ($50ish for rent). Self-taught class. Prof is very straightforward with what you need to do. Discussion post about each chapter weekly. One extra credit assignment.

Professor Thompson's PSY101 is a good option for those looking to fulfill a gen-ed requirement. While the workload can be heavy, using resources like the textbook and unstuck ai can make it manageable. She's an organized instructor who cares about student success.

If you're taking other classes that are more difficult then definitely take her online class. Sooo easy and assignments were worksheets a middle schooler could do. Final and all tests are online & timed, but she lets you use your notes & homework.

English isn't my first language, but the content was manageable with good time use. Worksheets and the professor's guide helped a lot. The Macmillan e-book works best on a tablet. Exams are open-book, but read carefully! Don't submit assignments late—ask ahead if needed.

Everything is fairly graded and organized in blackboard. For the online course, there was an online textbook that you have to buy the access code for. While the readings can be a lot, if you take good notes and participate in the discussions, you will do well.

She offers alot of extra credit opportunities. She will tell you what will be on the test especially the written question at the end so you can prepare for it. she lets you use your notes sometime on test. She give handouts a week before sometimes about the test questions and then you turn them in and it is the exact same. Definitely take her!!!!
