She is very easy if you do not choose summer sessions. Very attentive, fun and knowledgeble. The best math teacher EVER.

Tough but clear. Helped me organize the ideas of the subject in a way my high school teacher never could. She appears mean, but is really a nice person.

2nd Semester with El. So willing to help anyone that is willing to help themselves. You know what you are getting on the first day of class, homework every week and a quiz on the prior weeks work. Would recommend to anyone who REALLY wants to learn!!

I had her for 2 semesters. She knows what she is talking about. More than willing to help....even came to school on her own time to help me. Small quiz every week so it helps you know what you have learned.

Great Teacher.She comes off very harsh on the 1st day of class(She wants you to know she means business).She softens up once she gets to know the class and will help you out as long as you put in the effort and ask the questions.Do not become late alot because that will show to her that you do not care

I had her for Math 118 and will take her for Math 161. She is a fabulous professor and very helpful. I love the way she teaches and it encouraged me to do well in her class. I highly recommend her for Maths.

Elle is a wonderful professor who truly is a kind and decent woman. She is a very hard teacher, but the way she pushes you, it is the way you learn. On her quizzes and Tests you will do great if you put all of the work. Don't skip anything. I loved her!!!! Got an A. If you don't have the time to put on this class, don't take it.

I'm going on my 3rd semester in a row with Miss Chertok. I've been with her for 017, 118, & now 161. She is hard, for sure. I like her teaching methods & if you actually pay attention you will understand how to follow everything. If you're considering being lazy & not learning, don't take her class. I've gotten an A with her each semester so far.

I would say that she is not the best math teacher, but even so there is no specific math teacher who would be perfect to teach anybody and almost all math teachers are graded poorly. Still, she is very helpfull and her explanations are clear.

I don't understand how you can only pass by kissing major butt? If you struggle, you get help! You are just proving who lacks understanding the material. If you do nothing but complain of course you'll be a failure. Do the work, understand it, and get help if you need it. She is a great teacher!

She is a very helpful teacher if you are actually willing to learn. She does give lots of homework and quizzes but it benefits students on tests. She can be hard on students at times but at the end of the day if you put effort into the class, you will learn and pass

BEST TEACHER EVER!! She is tough but she knows her stuff!! People that don't like her usually are not looking to learn but just to "get by", not concerned with GPA. She does move fast but she always asks if she should clarify further with examples. She should be teaching at an IVY LEAGUE!!

I had her for summer 2013. She can be very stern at times but this is mostly because not everyone pays attention when they should. She will explain something as much as you like and provides plenty of handouts for you to work on. She is not there to hold your hand and makes this very clear. It is your responsibility to study and take notes.

Although she comes across as mean, she is actually really understanding. She knows that not everyone is good at math and she doesn't expect you to be a math genius! SHE DEF IS A MATH GENIUS! Over all I did really horrible on her tests but made it up with getting 100 on homework and home quiz. I also did bad on the final but made out good in the end

Dont trust what people think, she is the far best math teacher ever encounter, if you depend respect to her, she will respect you back. Therefore her teaching methods are rich if you pay attention. If you follow everything what she says then she will give you a grade you deserve. Those who like math, she is definelty recommended.

She was such a great instructor I took her again for another math class. She is very helpful & understanding as long as you show her you are ready & want to learn she will be there to teach & help you. She comes off as rude at first but you have to remember she is not from here & people have different mannerisms.

She is tough. As long as you make to to class & on time participate you will do good. Most importantly do your work & ASK for help if you need it. You don't really need the book just the code because everything is online.

She is a GREAT teacher. You will leave this class with a better understanding of math! She is tough, though. She means business. She doesn't like distractions. Its good, because she weeds out those who don't really want to learn! I would take her again in a second! She has a thick accent but not difficult to understand!

I looked on here and saw many negative reviews and I was shocked, she's a great teacher who knows what she's doing. She teaches at a very pace so be prepared! I'm not really a fan of the online math website homework, I'm old-fashioned, but she'll take the time after class to make the material clear to you. I'm taking her for 162 and cannot wait!

although many students dont like her, i loved this class. she is strict but i felt like i learned a lot in this class. she is very clear when teaching the material and explains things well. be prepared to do a lot of homework. if you dont do the homework you wont pass the class.

Just treat students as adults not talking to people like they are little kids. Love her way of teaching,just do homework and you will be fine!

She is a great teacher and does care about her students passing, but she expects you to know the answer immediately. I found her classes and quizzes highly stressful.

El cares and wants all of her students to pass. She always asks if you have questions, but she moves very fast. She is able to explain material before and after class. It is helpful to look up examples out of school. Take notes!!! This course has a lot of out of class work too, and you'll need to study to understand the material.

Tests were easy, shed tell you The ones you got wrong before you submitted the test so you could get a better grade, she cares about everyones grades and makes sure everyone understands the materials. As long as you show up and listen to her she's really nice, but if you are rude and don't listen she won't appreciate that and will let you know.

If you dont show you dont pass. Miss even one class and you're way behind. She makes sure to be available to you if you have trouble. Usually answers emails very quickly. There is a lot of homework assigned to make sure you don't easily forget material. You get unlimited attempts on homework until the due date so that's helpful. I'd take her again.

This professor is really fast. Exams are strict.

She is very attentive when it comes down to the work, she posts the powerpoints exactly how we did them in class by the time class ends or later in the evening giving you access to look over everything we did together in class, whenever you need help she has no problem sitting down with you and helping you out with anything, definitely my favorite

El truly cares about her students and wants them to do well, but you must do your homework and you must practice formulas outside of class! The material builds upon the previous material each week, so it is important to understand what you're doing. El is always available before class to answer any questions.

El takes her students very seriously and has high expectations. Her lectures are very thought-out, and you can gain a lot from her classes if you utilize her PowerPoints and stay on top of your work. She's willing to give second chances if she sees that a student is working hard and is worthy of them. She is very strict on punctuality.

I had Professor Eleanora during my first semester at CCP, with somewhat of good level in math and loved studying under her. I came to understand that those who came in CAL1 with negative thoughts about math altogether or being skeptical about the teachers' rating which is subjective and doesn't really reflect the teacher's capability won't do well.
